Rumor has it... Empty Rumor has it...

Post by Tsukiyo Shinku Sun Mar 01, 2020 10:24 pm

Tsukiyo had spent most of the day and on into the evening in the market, she had gotten herself a new outfit...customized to her own liking, it just a bit suggestive. Still, it showed off her curvy body and thats what her intention was. Either way she'd been going from shop to shop all day and now as the sun was setting, she was out of options. She hadn't found what she wanted yet...she had some Ryo to spend for once, and instead of only getting for herself, she wanted to get a present for her brother...the woman had no luck finding a nice sword in the shops, nothing better then the hand-me-down from their Sensei. But she did catch wind of a master craftsmen in the village, and even given an address to follow up on.

She slowly made her way through the streets, an annoyed look upon her features--clearly frustrated with the lack of luck so far, this being basically her last shot to find what she was looking for. How hard was it to get a nice Katana? Apparently harder then she imagined. But still, rumors gave way to a lead, and she was following up on that lead. She turned a few corners, going about a section of modest homes...she rolled her eyes, despite their rather 'hostle' take over of her own place, she lived in a luxury penthouse...seeing these homes made the greedy woman want to gag. But still. She needed to find a blacksmith, and as she came to the given address, she hoped she had done so.

Pinkish red hues glared at the house, taking in the address...she huffed an annoyed sigh and composed herself, she didn't want to appear rude when requesting the aid of someone at their home--no matter the attitude she had. Even if she was frustrated she'd soften her expression before approaching the door, a more neutral expression taking over. The young woman would reach up and rap her knuckles against the door of the craftsman known as Taichi Kotoshura...hoping he'd be home. Hopefully he could offer such a weapon she wished to find.

'...Come on damnit I don't have all night!'
flared in her head, but she suppressed the thought.

Rumor has it... Empty Re: Rumor has it...

Post by Taichi Kotōshura Sun Mar 08, 2020 3:41 am

Although Taichi technically wasn't a "businessman", his works did carry some weight amongst craftsmen in the village due to their quality, with most not wanting to admit that they couldn't measure their own works to his as that'd lose some business to their own stores but still, the word did carry it's way around and although it's like a whisper in the crowds of the market, if one dug deep enough into the gossip, you'd find the exact words of "If you want something of masterful quality, go to Taichi Kotōshura."

Of course, words were wind and most were quick to dismiss it, but those of the truly desperate, those who wanted something better than the marketplace quality, they'd seek out Taichi. He'd get the occasional order to make something special, ninja or not. They were far and few, but that was the pace Taichi liked it. He wasn't one who kept pace with the events of the world, nor did he believe on getting himself involved like he once did. Taichi had an average house, nothing special, but nothing minimal either. He lived alone, but that's the way he preferred it... he never got used to being brought back to live after the plague, but he wanted to deal with it in his own way.

His ear twitched at the bangs of his door, which only led him to believe two things... family, or customer. It never deviated from those two factors, but considering how busy his family tended to be nowadays and their influential positions, they barely visited and it was more so customers who knocked on that door, so he's about eighty-percent sure in his guess that it's another customer.

He opened the wooden door, his yellow eyes scanning up and down on the woman in-front of him, but the only major detail that caught his eye is the headband. He wore a casual outfit consisting of a white shirt, brown pants and black boots... not very presentable as a craftsman, but that was evident enough by the fact that he's living in a house, and not a store.

"Headband, although suggestive around the upper body, practical outfit for one befitting of a ninja." he spoke out loud, piecing together who she was from examining her, a ninja, and one in her profession could only mean that she's after his works, to make a special order. "Come on in, I assume you're here to make an order." straight to the point, he can be pleasant if he needs to be but he doubt she's here for any other reason other than to work out an order with him.

"Don't mind the mess, or the state of the place." if followed, they first went through the kitchen, plates were scattered, utensils were all over the place, it's obvious he hadn't cleaned in a while, but the sight of the next room was more promising... a forge sat at the back of the room, an anvil near it and around the forge held metals, steel for one, and leather as a general material. There were a few weapons scattered here and there, but some of them seemed incomplete, as if one gave up halfway through making them. The room is a bit more complicated than at first sight, but that wasn't of concern to the guest. Taichi took a seat by the forge, although unorganised, it was definitely the workplace of a craftsman. "Tell me what you need then."

The young woman's eyes was slowly growing more intense, and she was just about to reach up and knock again when the door opening made her miss the knock, her 'knocking fist' up hanging in the air as Taichi had opened the door and was beginning to look her over. She blinked and quickly dropped her hand, looking up into the man's yellow hues with her vibrant pinkish-red eyes. She'd see him basically eyeing her over...was he checking her out? No, his expression didn't match that of men who was looking her over for those reasons. Those types usually either had a jaw drop, or at least would come up with some goofy smile. She was about to speak when he spoke up, commenting on her outfit. She'd literally just gotten the outfit, and was already getting a comment about it...although not exactly the type of comment she'd expect.

Either way, the man would get straight to the point, guessing since she was a Ninja--she must be here to order a weapon. "Mm...yes, thats why I am here. I guess I got the right place then..." she said, followed by a soft sigh, a bit of relief in that she may have found what she needed to get her brother a nice new sword. The hand-me-down from Haku was...adequate at best, a butter knife at worse. The woman would be lead through first a Kitchen, quite a mess as she took it in, but was quick to ignore. She had grown up first in an orphanage as a kid--then in a hut in the woods her entire teen and into adult life. This didn't bother her, even if she felt herself 'above' such a mess--making sure her current home stayed clean...despite her brother's lack of the same interest and seemingly insistence on making messes she'd end up picking up.

But once they made it to another room, now it'd become clear to her she indeed was in the right place...a forge--thats not normal for a person's home. The woman lived in a luxury penthouse with basically everything...but not a forge. She was no blacksmith, and neither was her brother, despite being a swordsman. Taichi...he was. Clearly. The woman stood in the doorway as Taichi went over to sit at the force, her eyes finally shifting back from looking around the room to him. Her perception wasn't amazing, it took a moment to take in her surroundings. Clearly...she stood in the doorway of a proper craftsmen. Exactly what she needed. The woman would try to look the craftsmen in the eyes.

"I need a sword...its for my brother. Right now he basically has an envelope opener our Sensei tossed to him...it works against harmless thugs but I don't want him defenseless when we come across something more...lethal." she'd go on to explain, finally stepping into the room, the curvy woman coming to stand in front of Tacihi. Even sitting, he was probably taller or barely any shorter then the short woman as she stood. "I don't have much, but I want a sword made for him of ebony...unless you know of a better material." Tsukiyo would let him know her situation. She'd come from nothing and only recently actually been earning money too afford things...but not too much.
