Appearance
Verdandi is of average size but slightly underweight. A slender and light frame, adorned with subtle sweet curves and a cute face round up Verdandi's aesthetically pleasing features. Verdandi has yet a well defined set of muscles all over her body. Not intensely so but enough to have a certainly athletic appearance. She has a natural red glimmer in her left eye, probably since her father is remotely descendant from the Uchiha. She has a misleading innocent expression to go with and gives off a rather pure and gentle feeling. Her snow white hair is rather long, reaching to the waist and is often either just messy or tied to a pony tail. She's often wearing sapphire accessories cause she likes shiny things. Her choice in lipstick would be pink and her nails are painted cyan. Her alabaster skin is very clean. She still likes to put up some eye shadow here and there. Makeup isn't really something a kunoichi really worries about much though. Compared to the average ninja, she's on the smaller end but she humors it and calling it 'stealth' or 'fun' sized.
Persona
Verdandi seems often incapable of showing emotions and tends to give away a facial expression that is void of interest or reaction. This is but a misleading trait as the cause for it is an insanely strong empathy. Dandi's empathic capabilities are so intense that she seems to spend more time in other people's heads and feelings then in her own. Due to the constant flow of emotional stimuli her brain has become overwhelmed with the mass of information and eventually just decides to ignore any actual physical reaction.
She is however not unable to smile, laugh, cry and getting angry, it just seems to take her a bit longer to eventually realize that she is actually feeling for herself and not just reading into empathic emotions from individuals she's observing. This trait cannot be considered a strength or weakness as it doesn't impair her fighting capabilities nor enhances them. It is however a fun social quirk.
She was a very spoiled child, grew up in a very large house, had servants, could pick anything she desired and would receive it. This didn't dull her personality due to her empathy. She was always able to put herself into the situation of the poor as well. However, growing up rich still left some marks on her personality. She tends to show extremely good manners, conservative behavior patterns, overly polite reactions and high standards about where she will rest, relax or sleep. She also dislikes dirty and smelly places for the same reason.
History
- Dao Family:
- Verdandi is the youngest of three sisters, where as each of the sisters are one year apart in terms of age and birth, allowing them to grow up very closely together and giving them a very keen sense of a tight family bond, sharing almost everything since the very day they can first remember. Having the usual troubles to sometimes feel that they aren't all treated fairly and equal but they still grew up loving each other madly and still do so to this very day.
Their mother, going by the name Motoko Dao, inherited her fathers lands and royal titles after he passed away peacefully in his own bed due to advanced age. Motoko had been groomed by her father for years, prepared well to one day, in the absence of a male heir, to take this responsibility and rule in the name of the Dao dynasty. As one of the first female rulers within the clan in many years, Motoko would face many trials and tribulations for the coming years. But with the skills bestowed to her by her wise father, the new queen would deal with any potential pretenders and usurpers and eventually secure the throne for good. Bringing peace to the royal court and unifying them under one banner. Thus in time, the people of her realm would come to get used to their new liege, for they had their own troubles and worries to care for. She proved to be a kind and helpful liege to the peasants, making sure to help those in need and see to their farms and lands to flourish for the good of all within her realm. The peaceful times would give Motoko plenty of space to spend on her family, making sure to groom her own children the same way her father had done so with herself.
Their father, going by the name of Deacon Yuki, had an affinity for medical ninjutsu. Like most Yuki, he didn't bloom the Clan's rather rare bloodline limit, but he was a content man, lacking the ambitions to seek for power for himself. He throughly enjoyed his position at the side of his now rather important wife and would make a very resourceful secretary adviser. His loyality and love for his family were the only important things to him, earning him respect and affection of all relatives within the Dao's royal court.
Sister Urd was the eldest child. She'd spends her days in the library and prefers to study history in a desire to preserve the knowledge available and eventually recover what got lost during the ages of war and destruction. She also helps her mother a lot in her daily business as another advisor, using the knowledge of her books and her cunning wits to their advantage. She will, someday, make a maginficent heir to her mothers throne.
Sister Skuld had no interest in books, but instead showed exceptional talent with weapons, tactical planing and became a swordsman at young a very age, practicing Kenjutsu on almost daily basis. She would be later appointed chief of the royal guards at the Yuki compound and be in charge of her families security at the court. Constantly participating in duels and sparing matches to show of her powers and make clear among her soldiers that she would not be second to anyone with the sword.
Verdandi spent most of her free time with Skuld, learning Kenjutsu with her as her permanent sparing partner. They would both often perform in displays of blade dances as it was a common tradition for royal children of snow blood. Verd's relationship with her sisters slightly suffered as her bloodline limit awakened, suddenly putting her apart from her elder siblings and causing jealousy among them, especially within Skuld who always desired to be the strongest protector of the Dao sisters.
- Academy Student:
- Verdandi's awakening would come as both, blessing and curse to the family. Motoko knew that it'd put her youngest child on a completely different path than what she would have chosen for her. A far more dangerous one for sure. But at the same time, to see the rare powers of their ancestors manifest within the princess would be a sign to many. Increasing their trust in the royal family as being blessed by the heavens. Yuki shinobi were highly respected within the Kiri society. Many of them had fought their ways to the highest of ranks, some even held the title of kage, protector of all realms within the water empire.
Young Dandi would spend many years under private tutors, fellow Yuki clansmen with plenty of experience at their deadly element. But she also insisted at simply joining the local academy to learn the ways of a modern kunoichi the traditional way. For her, the school would be a way to break out of her overly protected shell of security. A taste of freedom even. Spending time with other gifted children from very different backgrounds. Slowly learning that her pampered heritage would not protect her forever.
The years would pass by. Her elder sisters would become more ressourceful in their own rights. Urd would clearly outwit her younger siblings still, Skuld would prove to remain the best swordswoman and the strongest fighter and at last, Verdandi would bloom into a skilled young kunoichi and avid user of her frosty element. Where there was occasional jealousy in the past, now reigned a fruitful synergy of skills among the princesses. Thanks to the years of practice under the many wise teachers of her own clan, Verdandi would ace the finals at the academy with ease and actually feel a fine attunement to her unique element. But with the school behind her, the real adventure was just about to start.

- Verdandi would snore away into the morning, or rather late-morning. The sun was up since many hours now and yet the lazy princess was still unable to get her buns up and find herself some productive goal to chase after. Her bed was way too comfy. She basically was buried in a mountain of fluffy pillows. Not really the kind of scene you’d connect with what was supposed to be a fearsome warrior. Verd didn’t care. She enjoyed living in her bubble of care and selfish joy. Why should she abandon her perks as an aspiring kunoichi? She could live and survive in the forest too, if she has to. But if you get to pick between poverty and luxury, why not pick the comfy one. The snow princess eventually woke, fell off her pile of pillows onto an almost-as-comfy rug next to her bed. She’d nap there for another bit until one of the Yuki compounds bear pets would have gnawed onto her pants and decided tug this lazy buns downstairs. Mostly because he wanted Verd to feed him, but also because he knew that on such a nice day the princess was always up for a few hours of playtime. Like a slightly oversized dog, the bear would wag his tail at the very thought of getting both, food and playtime soon. He was so excited that he eventually let go of Verd’s leg and kinda left her stranded, half way on the stairs. Dandi would eventually open her eyes and find herself way off the comfy pillow fortress she had expected. For a second she figured at whom she had to get mad at for this but as her eyes would meet with those of a very excited fluff monster she quickly lost all ambition for ‘revenge’ here.
Verd got up and would make her way to the kitchen. Grab a huge slice of meat from the fridge and drop it casually in the fluffy’s bowl. Giving him a good scrub to the neck while he would dig in quickly and wag his tail even faster. The house was empty. Sunlight would shine through the various windows. The servants had left everything tidy and ready for her to begin her day. She even found a little bowl with various rice rolls in it and a card from her maid telling her to have a good day. Verd smirked. It was hard to be grumpy at such a situation. She quickly laid waste to the rice balls and washed her face at the kitchen sink. With this new found strength and lots of energy, Verd would blitz around the house. Get all her clothes together, her training sword and then stormed off, her trusty little bear right behind her, running a bit slowed due to a properly fueled belly. These were to be the last days of her academy vacations. Soon she’d find herself at the end of this joyful procrastination, the time for actual work was just ahead.
