Personality:
Ann has a very strong personality. She's dead set on not only regaining her previous prowess with the sword, but improving beyond that and becoming the number 1 swordmaster in the world. She values honor and integrity but has no problem in using under-handed tricks if she believes victory is an absolute priority. She has a terrible habit of challenging other sword users to duels, which is a problem considering the current state in which her body is. Another trait of her personality come from the fact that she lived and grew over 500 years ago. Traditions, which she values greatly, have changed and things are not what they used to be before. The age of warring clans is over, and she's having a hard time dealing with all the new information she needs to learn. She's determined and can even be quite stubborn at times, but she mostly means well. She defends Kirigakure no Sato to the best of her abilities due to how grateful she was that the village accepted her and allowed her to live there in her hour of need.

- Constitution: D
- Stamina: C
- Speed: D
- Coordination: C
- Intelligence: D
- Perception: D
Unique Abilities:
- Steel Warrior: Ann has trained extensively with one of the greatest shinobi to have ever come from the Land of Earth, her father Ryu Tetsudashi. As a result, her mastery of the Steel Release bloodline is second to none. She is capable of channeling its power with significantly less effort. Steel Release techniques cost one rank less worth of chakra than normal. Ann's mastery of Steel came at the cost of her neglecting his skill with Water Release and as such it costs one rank more worth of chakra than normal.
Inspired by Nee-san - One-handed Seals: Pretty straightforward. A player may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.
- Offense over defense: When in foreign territory, Ann counts as 1 rank higher against NPCs. In Kirigakure owned land, however, counts as 1 rank lower against NPCs.
- Mo-Money: A player may start off with additional income, which the max amount correlates to the player's starting rank. Upon doing so 50% of all future income counts towards that sum with an interest of 50% as well.
500,000 starting ryo.
750,000 ryo debt. - Snow Tetsudashi: Because of the two bloodlines mixed together in her DNA, Ann is capable of producing white steel. This means the metals she produces with her jutsu may be white. This is merely an aesthetic property and as such requires no balancing flaw.
- Snow Sword ~ Having trained with Samurai, The way of the sword is a path Ann is quite familiar with. Whether it comes to possessing extra strength to overpower her enemies or trading strength for swift strikes. Ann has developed a way to increase either her Strength or Coordination when she uses Kenjutsu Weapons by +1 tier. Ann may not boost both, because when she chooses one of the two stats the unchosen stat is reduced by -1 tier. Ann has the option to not use this ability if she wishes.
Inspired by Leora Shinsei - Ancient Wisdom: After being sealed away for 500 years, Ann hurried to study what happened to the world in her absence. She is a history expert (regardless of her Intelligence rank) regarding the Warring States period. However there are things you cannot learn in books, and as such she is many times oblivious to things which may seem obvious to everyone else. Examples of this may include common names, how to pronounce village names, the way village hierarchy works, etc.
- Way of the Sword: Ann is capable of mastering Kenjutsu of a rank higher than her class allows. However, she does so with difficulty, and those techniques are learned at double the cost.
- Sound investor - Additional shops can be purchased to increase the return on Ann's investments by 10% each, up to a maximum of two shops.
--Shops cost 50% more to build.
Inspired by Zurui - Body Flicker Master- Ann is able to perform the Body Flicker technique without handseals if she so chooses. Her coordination suffers a - drop while flicking if the jutsu is executed this way, however.
Inspired by Shin - Samurai Focus: When Ann gets serious about her fights, and pushes herself, she can remain incredibly focused on her own body movements, increasing her Coordination by a tier. However, this single minded focus on her own actions tends to take away from her own thoughts, getting in the way of more advanced planning. As a result, her intelligence drops by a tier when she's hyper focused on a fight.

History:
It all started in 410...
Telling the story of Ann is telling the story of Ryu Tetsudashi and Saiki Yuki, and is telling part of the story of the two clans. The year was 410, and the Tetsudashi Warrior Clan was launching a full-scale invasion of the Land of Fire. The proud Steel warriors were seeking glory and land, and it was amongst this bunch of youngsters that one would find Ryu Tetsudashi. At the time, the Land of Fire was held by the proud Uchiha Clan, masters of the Sharingan and experts in the use of Fire Release Techniques. The Tetsudashi weren't so oblivious to the world around them that they'd failed to consider their main weakness was Fire Release. But the way they saw it, there was no greater glory than conquering one's main weakness: and so they invaded the Land of Fire in an attempt to extinguish the Uchiha. Now despite the Tetsudashi youngster's taste for glory and power, the elders in the Clan insisted they should hire foreign help -after all the Clan had made quite a bit of money in trading goods, especially in weapons and manufactured steel goods. There was one clan in particular whose help would prove to be extremely valuable against the Uchiha's Fire Release proficiency: The Yuki. Masters of snow and ice, the Yuki Clan were always on the lookout for patrons who would like to hire them. They mostly fought in the Land of Water and its islands, but this was one of the few occasions where the price was good enough that they'd come to the mainland. Having received good payment, the Yuki Clan did not hesitate in sending forces to aid in the invasion of the Land of Fire by the Tetsudashi. Amongst these forces was Ann's mother: Saiki Yuki. A pale-skinned, black-haired woman whose looks Ann took after. Not all in the Tetsudashi Clan approved of the decision of hiring the Yuki's aid. The youth, in particular, considered that this was "cheating" and that in this manner they would never truly conquer their main weakness and truly attain glory and power. One of the men who voiced such opinions was Ryu Tetsudashi, Ann's father. A tall man, a powerful warrior of an envious physical might. It was said a mountain could fall on top of him and Ryu Tetsudashi would still be able to stand, and crush the mountain by merely lifting his arms. Now these are rumours and legends of old times, but they do serve the purpose of representing what Ryu Tetsudashi meant for his Clan and the respect he commanded. |
The War in the Land of Fire
A year passed, while the Tetsudashi battled the Uchiha in the Land of Fire. What was supposed to be a ruthless but quick invasion slowly turned into a dragged out war, with blood being heavily spilled by both sides. The Tetsudashi had severely underestimated the Uchiha Clan, being unaware of the power of their Dõjutsu, they learned the hard way what the might of the Sharingan could do to a man. Additionally, their youth's reluctance to work properly with the Yuki Clan ensured they were defeated at the most critical moments. As the war dragged on and the price of blood was paid multiple times, the Yuki Clan's price of gold raised slowly but steadily while the Tetsudashi's coffer value declined at the same rate. In 411, an incident occurred where the Uchiha Clan ambushed Ryu's unit deep inside the Land of Fire. Several of his men died and he and ten others had to hold wave after wave of Uchiha Fire Release techniques. The metal covering their body heated, men's faces were disfigured and some lost limbs in the midst of groans and rage. The mighty Tetsudashi Steel wall was clearly bending to the Uchiha Fire, and as Ryu realized this he prepared one final offensive to go out with a bang. Covering himself in Tetsudashi Steel, Ryu planned to go through the flames and tackle as many Uchihas as he could, burning them with his melting body. It was not until the last moment before Ryu was completely prepared for the final charge that Saiki Yuki showed up. A Ninjutsu prodigy, the bloodline of Hyoton ran deep within her veins allowed her to create a massive wall of ice which separated the fleeing Tetsudashi from the might of the Uchiha Flames. Despite not actually harming the Uchiha, the wall held for quite a while before finally falling to the Katon techniques and it bought them enough time to escape. This was the beginning of Ryu's turn of opinion, and the very first time he acknowledged a Yuki clan member's abilities. From this moment on, Ryu fought with Saiki at his side at all times and he became a supportive voice of the alliance between the two Clans. |
Love, Money and Blood
The year was now 412 AS. The war in the Land of Fire raged on, but a clear winner was emerging from the ashes of the woods. The Uchiha Clan had managed to push back the Tetsudashi to a small area near the border with the Land of Rain. What had been a relatively matched up war before, was now turning into daily losses for the Steel Release users. Not only in conflicts and blood, but also in gold. The Yuki were not a cheap Clan to hire for war. Their services were expensive, and their price grew when they were asked to fight a war on the losing side. Also looking to prevent unnecessary losses, the Yuki Clan leaders raised their price to a point where even the Tetsudashi's coffers, drained after two years of conflict, were not able to keep up. The Tetsudashi Clan suffered defeat after defeat and without Yuki support everyone knew it was only a matter of time until they were completely pushed off the Land of Fire. Meanwhile Ryu Tetsudashi and Saiki Yuki had grown closer due to having gone through so many dangers and battles together. Their intimacy eventually turned into a relationship which was obvious to everyone, which none dared to comment on. The Tetsudashi Clan law was pretty clear: The Kekkei Genkai was to be kept within the family. Within the Land of Stone. The way the elders phrased it was that someone like Ryu, whose KKG manifested so strongly, simply could not be allowed to breed outside the clan. The odds of the genes manifesting were too high. Others argued that Saiki's bloodline was also incredibly strong and that it would take over the dominant gene pool in whatever child they had. This went on for a while, but the latter faction grew smaller and smaller, as the clan situation got worse and the Yuki were accused of betraying their allies. Saiki remained with Ryu (abandoning her clan, much to their desmay) even after the Yuki went home, but the couple was constantly harassed and she was blamed for her Clan's sins. |
A Child is Born
The year was now 413. The Tetsudashi Clan had been completely defeated and expelled from the Land of Fire in 412, the war having been fought and lost at great costs in terms of human life. The defeat of the tetsudashi initiated a decline which would last generations until they finally got back on their feet. Having fallen in love with Saiki, Ryu Tetsudashi abandoned the Clan and the couple ran North, intending on eventually arriving at the Land of Snow. Now one must remember that back then there were no hidden villages- the whole continent was divided into small portions of land which clans fought endlessly over. With Saiki pregnant, Ryo couldn't possibly hope to be able to traverse the Land and protect his wife and child at the same time. They eventually settled NorthWest of the Land of Earth, near the border with the Land of Iron. Life there was harsh, there was no farming land and barely any game to hunt. But Ann had a happy childhood for a few years. Her father worked the metals at a small forge he'd set up, and he would often go to the Land of Iron to sell these metals while her mother hunted for the snow hares and other animals which could be found (by the cleverest of eyes) hiding in the snow. Often they would take Ann in these adventures and this was where her training and education really began. By the age of 5, Ann could hunt and survive in the iced tundra, she could read and write decently as well. Having received basic shinobi training from both her parents, it wasn't long until she awakened the two bloodlines which had been sleeping deep within her. For five years, they were a family. A small family, isolated from the world, but a family nonetheless. |
The life of a samurai
Unfortunately, Ann and her family's happiness did not last long. Wounded and falling out of grace the Tetsudashi sought someone to blame for their misfortunes. And an ex-commanded who had deserted the Clan in its greatest hour of need was a juicy target. It took them months to track down the family and traverse the land, but eventually a large detachment of Steel Release users caught up with Ryu, Saiki and Ann. The battle was bloody, but between protecting their vulnerable child and escaping a much larger force, the two ex-ninjas were forced to make a choice. The truth was the two of them were just too outnumbered to escape, and Steel Release users who had survived a war with the Uchiha were no joke. These people were out for vengeance, and neither Saiki nor Ryu had honed their ninja skills in the past five years- choosing instead o give basic training to their daughter and provide for the family. Even so, both of them were gifted in the Kekkei Genkai Abilities. Out of the twenty men who attacked that day, only five lived to tell the tale. Saiki was killed by a Kõton spear which went right through her heart immediately causing death. Ryu, enraged by this, howled at Ann to escape and launched a charge towards the remaining Tetsudashi. All Tetsudashi are durable against impacts, and as such their battle lasted long enough for Ann to cross over to the Land of Iron. She was eventually found by a group of Rõnin, wandering samurais which left her to the care of a Samurai fortress. It was here that she lived and trained as one of them for 12 long years. The samurai training in the Land of Iron was not easy- they were demanding and extremely picky about who was worthy enough to be trained. But if Ann wanted to survive, she had no choice but to comply and follow every instruction. She washed the temple, worked the kitchens, studied war tactics and practiced daily with the sword. She grew alongside other students, training daily and improving her abilities. It was during this time that the young Yuki developed a passion for the sword and all it represented. With her ability to produce Tetsudashi steel- far superior to the metals in the Land of Iron, and aided by her own natural abilities she rose through the school ranks and became a full-fledged samurai warrior a the age of 16. And her plan was to spend the rest of her life at the Temple, but things never seem to go according to her plans... |
The Deep Freeze
When Ann was 17 years old, a rival samurai clan attacked the temple. And Ann found out that very much like Shinobi, the Samurai clans constantly warred amongst themselves spreading fire and blood throughout the snow of the Land of Iron. The battle was brutal, swords clashed left and right and sparks flew from the colliding metals. Ann did not hesitate i using the Ninjutsu she knew to her advantage, but even then they were still far too outnumbered for it to make a difference. The attack had been a surprise one during the night, and it was nearly impossible to coordinate a proper defense. After a couple of hours of struggling, the Samurai on Ann's side sounded the retreat horn, which emant the temple was being abandoned. Being far too deep in the thick of the fight to retreat, Ann took a page from her father's book and prepared one final charge. She lured most of the enemy soldiers into the inner sanctums of the temple and there she gathered all of her chakra and released it at once. The idea was to kill every single one of them, go out with a bang. And she accomplished that, an explosion of ice ocured inside the temple and thousands of hundreds of ice spikes erupted from inside the building, destroying most of the walls and leaving only a giant ice structure where the temple once stood. Deep inside, Ann would remain frozen in time for over 500 years. |
Keer-in-gakewr, a new Adventure!
In the year of 933 AS, Ann Yuki would finally wake up. More than five hundred years after she had fallen alseep during the attack on the Samurai temple, Ann awakened only to find ruins and ancient plates of samurai warriors. Most of the temple had turned to dust and what was left was in no condition to be inhabited. The only equipment left functional was Ann's sword and samurai armor which had been frozen alongside her. Ann quickly discovered that her body had weakened severely during the past 500 years. While she had been able to move and assassinate targets in the blink of an eye before, he body simply wasn't trained to that point anymore. She could move no faster than a regular civilian and her body abilities were clearly those of a regular civilian. Having nowhere else to go, Ann Yuki sought refugee in the home of her mother's clan: The Land of Water. She was glad to find out they had helped build a Hidden Village (despite not quite understanding the concept of a hidden village yet). Her Yuki bloodline abilities got her accepted into the military ranks of Kirigakure no Sato where she now makes a living. But despite being able to create and use ice, and having been awarded a high rank in the village, Ann's body is still sickly and recovering and she is well aware that it's going to be a while before she is in peak form again. |
Ann has a very strong personality. She's dead set on not only regaining her previous prowess with the sword, but improving beyond that and becoming the number 1 swordmaster in the world.
