History:
From an early age, Syo had developed an interest in tinkering and experimentation. She had a desire to grasp how the world around her worked. She'd mix herbs at random just to see their effects, be it a poison or a medicine. The second she could get a hold of any sort of mechanical device, a pully even, she'd take it apart. As she got older, she became even more invested in taking things apart, but also developed a spark to create. It's where her interest in Kugutsu came from, a skill in not only creating something but effectively utilizing her own creations. She didn't care to be some sort of shinobi or even a soldier of any kind, she only cared to see her skills develop and blossom.
With Ashtoreth's disappearance, Syo couldn't help but feel curious at first. Their head suddenly disappeared, with only instructions being left behind by her disciple? It didn't sit right with her. Why in the midst of their declining numbers would their leader suddenly vanish into the wind? What made it go from curious to suspicious to Syo was the equally as suddenly decision to integrate into human society, some Yokai even offering to become shinobi for the sake of appealing to the village's people with the offer of soldiers. No, nothing seemed right, not in her eyes. Her chest tightened at the thought, but she would need to play along to get to the bottom of it.
At the Academy, Syo did what she felt was the bare minimum to pass by. Unfortunately for her, that meant she had to excel in a select few areas, simply because she fell so short when it came to physical marks. The girl could barely lift a decently filled bag of groceries, let alone land a decent punch of run a lap without stopping to catch her breath. She had to make herself stand out somewhat, earning high marks in the more academic aspects of the academy. Upon graduating, Syo has only made efforts to improve her career as a shinobi to sharpen her skills to better survive in a world that seemed to so easily devour wandering Yokai, and for the privilege of leaving the village so that she may find Ashtoreth.
Personality: When interacting with Outsiders, Syo tries to come off as friendly and agreeable, believing she needs to act as such to get to a position of influence in her career. However, she's quick to judge humans and is quick to despise the ones that annoy her in the slightest of ways. These sort of walls come down when she can speak freely with other Yokai. With her family, she's can seem very laid back and unable to take things seriously, though most of the time it's simply for the sake of a joke.
