Honing One's Talents (Solo)

With a majority of his time spent mostly doing paperwork rather than activities like traveling the world as he'd intended, Takeo's attention had become geared towards brainstorming technique ideas. On normal occasion, this was typically when he wasn't thinking of how to respond to a request or a letter written to him. Having ultimately decided to write a majority of these ideas down since he never had the time to actually practice firsthand, he's holding onto a scroll with a majority of what he wanted to get accomplished, as well as a few others detailing high-ranking techniques that weren't of his own innovation. In his stead, a shadow clone's perched at the office of his complex, to get work done for him while he goes light on the training.

Among them was one of his more basic, albeit versatile techniques. It was a simple Katon technique that functioned based on mostly spontaneity and his talents in the element. Bringing both hands together, the Takemi contorts a trio of handseals to accelerate the flow of chakra throughout his body. Following that action, the male kneads a small portion of this chakra into Katon-based chakra, and allows it to swarm his being, slowly channeling its way to his palm. He extends his arm out before his person and starts to channel more of it into his hand, emitting an orange glow that grows bigger as time progresses.

Once the Katon chakra is encompassing the base of his hand, he releases it in the form of a sudden, wide-ranged blast out in front of him that covers a majority of his line of sight. The sudden, grenade-like explosion of heat before him sends him skidding backwards along the ground. He lowers his hand shortly after demonstrating this, ultimately coming to terms with the fact that there was just far too much strength he put behind it. Ultimately though, if he'd neutered the force any more, it would've been too weak.

There was one benefit that came out of this, and that was that he could use this technique to move at impressive speeds if necessary, especially out of nowhere if needed.

".. I could cancel out the recoil from it if I had something like an even amount of force coming from the direction I'd be knocked into." He murmurs to himself, forming the handseals again. Chakra starts to circulate within his person once more, and this time instead of lifting one arm he lifts both, each in opposing directions. Orange effervescence begins to shine to life in each palm of his, growing brighter with each passer second until the amount's been equalized, courtesy of his ability to sense and thus gauge the amount he was flowing into each.

"Burner."

Katon-based chakra shoots out from each hand of his in one fell swoop, snaking forward at a rapid pace before coming to a standstill at the technique's allotted fifteen-meter range. It spills out on each side of him, covering an incredible amount of distance in the process. With the demonstration of the two-handed variation of the technique finished, the male lowers his hands. It was a rather simplistic, and arguably weak technique, but with his proficiency in the Katon element he could make much more out of it, especially if he tried.

Having effectively managed to get one of his technique ideas out of the way, Takeo felt like it was safe to move onward. The next thing he had in mind was mostly a blend of the Great Fireball technique, and the Phoenix Sage Fire technique. It would take after the factor that the Great Fireball technique was a singular projectile, possessing impressive speed and power at that. The sense that it took after the Phoenix Sage Fire technique is more derived from the fact that it can be controlled after being fired, something that he wants to put to the test. In one fell swoop, the brunette claps his palms together, flaring up the chakra within him and kneading it into the Katon nature.

Orange flames swirl to life around both of his hands, expanding out. He extends both arms out before him, hands widening and releasing the orange flames in the form of two blasts, one from each palm. The pair of blasts fire forth at immense speeds, before twisting and forming into one swirling mass the size of a beach ball. As the blast of heat shoots on forward, the brunette keeps his hands out before him, and in a sudden shift, swings his arms off to the side, keeping his hands parallel to one another.

It was silly looking, but it actually worked. With mild delay, the fireball veers off course, skimming a tree nearby instead of hitting it dead-on, and moving on to fire up into the skies. Once it's out of reach of actually hitting someone, he disengages his control over it, allowing it to fizzle out high in the sky. Given the power and speed behind the technique, Takeo ultimately coins the technique as "Cannon", since it reminded him of a cannon ball, but didn't want that silly of a name for it.

Another technique concept brought to a sense of finality, and another one to go. The next one he has in mind is the use of elemental chakra to enhance one's physicality in a way that varied based on the user. If something like that manages to come to fruition, Takeo already has an idea of what he plans to do with it, and that specifically involves improving his own resilience. If he could do that on top of provide himself with a cloak of elemental chakra that could buffer an element weak to what he uses it with, it could be even more useful.

Following that mindset, the male inhales deep for a moment, then claps his palms together. He forms numerous handseals, channeling chakra throughout his body faster as his tenketsu expand in response to the hand seals being utilized. Upon forming the last necessary hand seal, Takeo engulfs himself in a layer of Katon-natured chakra, coating the entirety of his frame. He utilizes the interior of the chakra immersing him to supply his physique with additional resilience, essentially enhancing it with the effervescence circulating through him. Just to prove it, the male tightens his hand into a fist, and briefly beats it upon his chest.

It's a really weak effort to show if the technique really had any effect, but since there is nothing more than an extremely brief sting, it's safe to say that it did work. Dispersing the circulation of Katon chakra throughout his body, the male allows the flame at the base of his forehead to fizzle out, exhaling lightly. "I guess I'll call that one Overhaul."

After a long-awaited chance to take a break from his duties, Takeo has finally found the time to get himself back to the training fields of Kirigakure no Sato. Wearing his standard black dress suit and such with a backpouch upon his right hip, the man had come prepared to get some training done. The brunette starts off by deciding to get one of his more.. primary techniques out of the way first -- Overhaul. He'd been theorizing for awhile that he could amp up the technique at some point -- at least one more time, but never really got the chance, so here he was.

To do that though, he'd have to get his chakra circulating much quicker than normal. Following that mindset, the Yuki brings both palms together and kneads through the standard handseals for Overhaul. At the apex of their formation though, he forms one last handseal -- the Seal of Confrontation. With his chakra beginning to circulate much quicker throughout his tenketsu, the man begins to amass and channel Katon-natured chakra simultaneously. It flows throughout his body rapidly, channeling along at a rapid pace and coming to a focal point in the center of his forehead, whilst his brown gaze shifts to a bright orange. That isn't the only focal point in question, though.

As the fiery, orange glow with embers of chakra emanating off of his radiant frame comes to wrap about the man's figure, more flames flare up around his eyes and flicker outward from the corners, continuously resonating. "... Full.." Takeo allows the Katon-natured chakra engulfing him to suddenly flare out, actively forming a flickering aura of flames around him. The sheer, smoldering heat around his body evaporates nearby water vapor. "Overhaul!" He exclaims, tenses his hands into fists and allowing the mixed feelings of clarity and resilience to circulate through him with his flaming chakra.

He'd chosen to amp up his five senses this time around, generating a tremendous amount of heat on top of further awareness of his surroundings. What's more, though, was that aura of flames encasing his body. What could he do with it -- maybe burn someone by hitting them? Who knows.. he'd have to figure that out by training even further than he already had.

Having effectively finalized Overhaul, Takeo felt as though that was one weight off of his shoulders. He peers about with his enhanced clarity, surprised by the effects the technique had. What's more though was the aura of flames constantly circulating around his frame. There was just so much of it in contrast to Overhaul, but at the same time it felt like it wasn't leaking out whatsoever. Deciding to put this aura of flames around him to good use, Takeo utilizes his enhanced circulation of Katon chakra to his advantage, and elevates his hand above himself, pointing his palm at the air and flattening his fingers, pressing them together.

The entirety of the aura embracing him begins to flicker to life in one fell swoop. The entirety of the aura begins to circulate itself to the male's palm, swirling about his frame and twisting as it does so. It starts to collectively gather as one great flame, but upon further investment into controlling his chakra, the gathering of flames starts to take shape into a sphere. This sphere continues to swirl, similar to the flames that compose it, as it grows larger and larger as time progresses, all while Full Overhaul reconstructs its aura using his chakra.

After a few moments of reasonable effort, the sphere expands to about three meters in circumference, halting its spinning at last to remain stationary above his head. Once it's fully formed, Takeo extends his arm out before him, carrying the sphere with it, before launching the giant ball of heat forward. The fiery blast of flames thrusts forward at insane speeds, evaporating nearby water vapor in a similar fashion to Full Overhaul itself as it progresses. Not intent on destroying his own village's training grounds however, the man condenses his grasp a little, causing the sphere to visibly contract a bit.

From there he directs it upward, sending the sphere firing up into the skies above at the same high speeds as before. Once the technique has ascended high enough into the air, he expels further chakra from his frame before closing the hand that formed the technique into a fist. For a moment, the sphere contracts in size again, then suddenly spills out, allowing itself to detonate and fill the air in a massive ball of heat, expanding thirty meters wide. After that, it rapidly narrows out until there's nothing more than small embers trickling down into the training fields below.

Pretty much pleased with the development that he had made with Katon, between Full Overhaul and what would later become known as Cruel Sun, Takeo slowly allows the constant channeling of Katon chakra from being kneaded and released from his core to come to a halt. Once it's faded in its entirety, the Yuki sighs for a moment. Both Cruel Sun and Full Overhaul had consumed an immense amount of his chakra in so little time, though with the courtesy of him knowing how to reduce the drain on Katon-based techniques, he still had some more of his reservoir to put to work.

Deciding to switch to Suiton this time around, Takeo fixates his focus on one of his village's secret techniques, the Mist Rain technique. In some of his other free time he'd studied the secret techniques within the village's possession, and had even learned a few of them in the past without knowing. And what better way to start learning more than by learning what was arguably the most difficult of them all? Easing his thoughts, the man shuts his eyes, essentially working out the logistics of how to effectively perform the technique in his head.

Once he's done that, Takeo brings both hands together, and forms three handseals. In one fell swoop, amassed Suiton chakra spills out from his person like a shockwave -- except it remains harmless. His chakra signature starts to expand from its original range massively, coming to embrace a two-hundred meter radius. And then it begins -- a light mist embraces Kirigakure's typical, obscuring his vision even more than usual. And what's more, a dense darkness seems to sweep over the entirety of his surroundings.

The large amount of water spilled out from him easily draws in precipitation from the clouds above, darkening this given range in which he's engulfed part of his metropolis in chakra-composed mist. It's from there that heavy rain starts to beat down upon the two-hundred meter vicinity above, eviscerating all traces of complex chakra sources (ergo Ninjutsu) in that vicinity. It doesn't rain outside of the sphere at all, oddly enough, making this darkened, mist-laced area seem like a whole different world, both on the interior and exterior. As Takeo attempts to wrap his hand in flames, it fails -- completely, snuffing the flames out from the very second they dare to leave his body.

Seeing that the technique obviously lived up to its potential, it was time for Takeo to disperse it. Halting his maintenance of the technique as quick as he manifested, the sphere of chakra dissipates, halting the field of Ninjutsu-rejecting sustenance and allowing the mist and rain to both fade from view.

Once more the brunette strolls on into the little clearing, gaining a bit of time to actually practice some of the techniques he had been planning for awhile. First off were a few techniques inspired by the Certain-Kill Ice Spears, but toned down to have broader range, less chakra cost, and be less lethal. Having already got a sense of how he'd have to work the technique out, Takeo allows his chakra to knead into the Hyouton nature, then spreads it out into his feet. It's at that point that he sends it surging upright.

This surge causes the nearby water particles to immediately freeze as numerous spikes of ice charge up in front of him. They form into a tightly-knit formation before the male, dwarfing his line of sight in sheer size. Once he's finished forming it, a well-placed punch using the Arhat Fist and Shatter Palm -- a nice combination he was always fond of, causes it to shatter.

Once the ice has completely shattered, he uses the pre-existing ice of it for its child technique. Still forming no handseals, the Yuki generates more chakra within his feet and kneads it promptly, tapping into his family's Hyouton nature. It's then that the male sends it rushing to his feet once more, allowing it to spill out at once. At that point, even larger, more compressed ice spikes spill out before the male's very eyes. They quickly take the formation that he had anticipated in his mind prior.

This time around though, while they're much quicker than the original ice spikes, they still take around the same time to actually reach maximum distance before coming to a standstill. Flames quickly rush to the male's hands and wrap around them, propelling him upwards. Once he's reached a reasonable height to look from, he sees that the technique extends about twice the range of its parent technique. Seeing that as sufficing in itself, Takeo is pleased enough to make a descent back to the ground.

As much as he was a little leery of his family and all, Takeo still has more to practice in the way of Hyouton. Namely, a singular technique that has been passed down among leaders of the clan for years. But that would be after he completed his own techniques. Following that stubborn mindset, the brunette is quick to clap both palms together, forming handseals this time around. In quick succession he forms the required handseals and freezes the water vapor around him by spreading out preemptively-kneaded Hyouton chakra.

Keeping the ground untouched, Takeo wraps his surroundings in a fifteen meter radius in thickets of ice that come to form a half-sphere around the man. With the exception of a doorway directly across from him and the unfrozen ground, his surroundings were completely encased, leaving it clear that he had completed the technique's purpose as planned.

Peering at his surroundings for the time being, Takeo takes this opportunity to use this technique as a stepping stone for further ice. In one instant he forms a set of handseals and surges his chakra beneath his feet, drawing in the ice around him to use the next technique he has in mind -- Glacier. Upon completing the handseals the man spills out a good amount of water, letting it pour from his maw so he can set up Glacier. Once the water has spread a decent range from the technique he used, Takeo forms four more handseals.

In one fell swoop, the water seems to start bubbling and caving in upon itself. In one instant, it crystallizes and suddenly fires up rapidly, the upsurge of ice forming into a massive glacier carrying him high into the air. At about thirty meters into the air at the foot of the structure it comes to a standstill, with him peering down at his surroundings silently for the time being. Considering he managed to execute the technique and save some chakra, it's fitting to say that this was enough for him to have his expectations satisfied. Takeo's quick to flow chakra to his feet, using them as a coating against the ice as he heads down the front of it.

Once he lands, Takeo goes ahead and positions himself in front of it for now, thinking. 'Hmm.. what next?' The man muses for the time being, mostly pondering what he should -- or could do. And that's where more of Kirigakure's special techniques come into play. He could certainly start to practice at learning those so he could be ahead on what he knew as far as his village's secrets went. After all, Takeo was already aware of, and had learned the Kirisame technique, so it was only a matter of time until he'd tackle the other ones, too. Considering he started with the best, it's only right that he works his way down at that point by studying them, rather than demonstrating them from here on out.

Deciding to withdraw himself from Ninjutsu for the time being, Takeo rolls his shoulders and relaxes his mental state. After gathering his thoughts and what not, the man cracks his neck by cocking it to the left, and eventually to the right. Having wasted enough time with adjustments, the man decides to ease into one of the stances that he thought out for the new fighting style he was steadily learning. 'Rokushiki Style... Gypsy!' The man utters under his breath.

He bends his legs and spreads his feet, distancing themselves away from one another as he assumes the stance. The stance in itself is primed in a nature that's rather loose, leaving little limitations to how he could move his body in using it. This variation of the style itself if anything was heavily inspired by Spring Chant, if not just a renamed version of it that opened up new opportunities in the form of techniques. Having positioned himself properly, though, Takeo decides to take the newfound stance for a run.

Bending his knees a little more and applying pressure to his soles, the brunette Yuki springs up off of the ground. In a rush of motion he closes the minimal distance between himself and the glacial structure he manifested, launching his right arm forward. He palmstrikes the construct but that isn't all as he follows up with a quick shift that guides his left side of his body to the forefront. The man's left leg springs up in quick motion, his foot slamming solidly against the ice.

Deciding to carry on with his relatively centripetal motion, Takeo rotates the entirety of his body, lowering his leg as he thrusts his other one up to complete the brief combo by thrusting his right leg up this time around, delivering a powerful sidekick to the structure but not budging it. Once he's completed the short-lived, three-stroke combo, the man drops his leg back down and hops back.

Carrying on with his rather frequent and mobile maneuvers, the man shifts his upper body weight backwards and flings his arms out, palms securing his bodily stability as he performs a quick backflip that furthers his distance. Still keeping his palms in contact with the ground, Takeo brings the rest of his body behind them and arches his legs, bringing one close to his chest and the other arched back. He primes himself with the intentions to sprint, though first he transitions styles.

'Rokushiki Style, Speed Star!' The brunette clamors within his thoughts. In one instant he bursts forward in a sudden increase in speed, using the leg that he'd bent to his chest as most of his propulsion. He jets on forward, quick to flow chakra to his feet to coat them in a levelled out lining. Takeo speeds on up the glacier, noticeably keeping a majority of his movements as brief and short-lived as possible, while also maintaining the intent to stay on the move.

And it seems it's working. The essence of the Speed Star style of Rokushiki was to capture one's ability to remain mobile. The output of power in the user's attacks mattered little, and the same could be said for how fluent or flexible they were. It was all about speed. Reaching the top of the glacier in very little time, the man comes to a stop, briefly kneading his chakra into Katon-natured chakra to avoid skidding off of the edge of the top of the glacier. He establishes footholds in the ice itself by burning it for a split second, before exhaling briefly.

"Just one last style." Takeo remarks aloud.

Having established the ideal position for this final style Takeo desires practicing, he takes a deep breath, beginning to tighten and loosen his hands to fists, then fists to hands -- rinse and repeat. From there he shifts the right side of his upper body inward and partially arches his left arm, raising it above his head. The brunette tightens his hand into a fist and tightens up his body, drawing out all musculature and physical power he could withdraw from himself. And once he feels ready, he strikes.

'Rokushiki Style..' He tightens his hand into a knucklewhitening fist above him, tensing the entirety of his arm up as much as he could. Further than he already had, infact. In one fell swoop he launches his arm down towards the ice at his feet, chanting the title of the third and final style he developed all the while. 'Brutish..' His tightened fist slams upon the ice, initially with no results.

'DEMON!' He finalizes with dramatic effect, tapping into his youth as expected of someone still rudimentary in adulthood. In tandem with him exclaiming 'Demon' in his head, the ice itself begins to crack, numerous faults splintering along the structure as a result of the strike. It doesn't break the Glacier whatsoever, but the punch sure as hell packed good impact, and it's good that the glacial structure was still intact, seeing as he would be training his moves, whether NInjutsu or Taijutsu, on this very structure.\

First though he'd have to go make copies of some of the village's secret techniques to burn after he was done learning them. He leaves for the time being, but he's sure he'll be back to practice those very techniques in due time.
