New Management

The old man, Yami, was back in his hair again. He was less enthusiastic as he appeared before. It was primarily because he was unsure of Kazuya's second absence. It was sudden and unexpected which raised concern. Nonetheless, he had to fill the role again and treat today like any other day. He had requested the audience with Kanna, the young female head who was sent as captain for a mission with a squad of Chuunin, which failed miserably. It was partly due to the old man's zealousness to assist others in defeating an unknown threat. It costed them the lives of six Chuunin, deaths felt by dozens. Kanna would enter as Yami lifted his eyes from a paper he held in his hands. He'd glance before setting the paper down and removing a pair of reading glasses. The door would naturally shut behind her as she bowed. "Come, step forwards." He urged as he waved his hand to gesture her closer. He did not want to waste time. Especially since time was certainly something not on their side. "It's good to see you again. I have read your report regarding the mission you were sent on. The mission is not the topic of today, though I congratulate you and Gin for coming back alive with the information you had. Today I will speak to you regarding your...ability."

He would open a drawer to retrieve a piece of paper. "With what you have described, and given our research regarding it, we can size up a lot of its capabilities. Although we do not know the origins of this technique, we have an idea of what it is. Those black threads are apart of a Kinjutsu called 'Earth Grudge Fear.' These threads are under you manipulation, if I'm not mistaken. Its primary purpose, however, is more than that. It serves as a means to keep you alive. With this technique, you are able to almost implant hearts into your own body from fallen foe. These hearts become your own, up to five, and will serve as your own life force. If your heart is destroyed, it will be replaced. These hearts serve as your only real weakness, as muscle and nerves can be mended with these threads. You can steal more than hearts as well. Any functioning organ, such as a liver or kidney, can be integrated in your body. It's truly an amazing feature. A heart, however, serves the most value. Successfully stealing an opponent's heart grants you their first element, which can be used as your own as if you owned them."

Setting down the paper he folded his hands to give a brief second to breathe and let Kanna absorb the information. He would pick up shortly after, not intending on giving the girl a moment to speak. "You can read more about your ability with the notes I have provided, though as I said before, the research is not complete. But this was not the primary reason as to why I called you in here... I called you here to test this ability of yours." He would work to retrieve a document in a yellow envelop. Yami would push the packet of papers forwards with the ability knowledge before placing the yellow envelop on top. "Inside that envelop is the record of an Iyoshi Uchiha. He was a young, dedicated man and eager to serve the Leaf, as many of the Uchiha do. Unfortunately the worst has happened. He had been sticken by this plague that reaps the lives of many in this land. He had been in a coma for five months already, and as of recently his condition has been getting severely worse. What I am trying to say is, he will not survive. Although we have been getting more advanced with dealing with this plague there are some things we do not thoroughly understand. That being said, I have a task for you..."

"Iyoshi wanted to become somebody in this village. After his parents died, and he lost contact with his siblings, he had been living alone. He focused on his training and served Konoha well with what time he had, treating our village like the home he knew and loved. His condition had left him suffering, unconscious in a hospital bed. Although there is nothing we can do for him medically, there is something you can do to help him, as well as help yourself. Kanna, I need you to enter the morgue beneath Konoha's hospital. Iyoshi Uchiha should have been moved to the crematory already. Take his heart with your ability, and have you be its new host. I know you have served Konoha, and will continue to do so in your life's work. With Iyoshi's heart inside of you his strongest part of him will continue to thrive in a new host. He will live on and fulfill his dream with you. His natural element is Fire, which is what you would expect from an Uchiha. I'm sure you will fancy this element as one of your own. Once you have completed your assignment, cremate his body. The staff know what you are doing, so you don't have to worry about anything. They should leave the area to yourself, or work around you if anything. Once you have his heart, practice with it. I have big plans for you in the future, and I need you in your prime. Get accustomed with Gin in the meantime. Once the third member returns from his mission in Kirigakure we can get to work. You are dismissed."

Yami did not give a window for questions, expecting his speech to be quite self-explanitory. However he was not going to reject any questions if Kanna had any. If not and she dismissed herself, Yami would return back to work. There was a certain charm working as the Hokage. It was of high honor tagged with a high work load. Something he had to get used to.
