Gin found himself in the local training grounds after receiving orders about a mission. He did not pay too much attention to the details. All he knew was combat was expected and they had to work with the other major villages to neutralize a threat. On top of that, Kanna was designated Captain for their unit. His brief interaction with the girl made him somewhat intrigued. One feature that stood out to him was she certainly seemed a lot quieter since he last saw her. This could most likely be related to their presence in the Hokage's office. Gin was rather comfortable with Administration. It was generally the fresher Shinobi that made an extra effort to be "professional" whenever speaking to a member of Administration. As long as you were respectful and maintained a sharp appearance Gin felt no reason to be extra.
Gin arrived in a very generic training ground. It was actually somewhat pleasant to be in. A single training post at in the middle of a clearing. It was mainly used for generic striking lessons often done by Jounin to fresh Genin. A small pond was located no far from the clearing merely ten meters from the tree line. That water source was hardly used for Ninjutsu as it was too small to serve as anything major, though Gin figured he could use it as a source to fill one of his blank scrolls for whenever water may be needed.
As a Chuunin of his village Gin prefers to wear the standard load-out many Shinobi are seen wearing, which is provided by the village's armory. A pair of black combat sandals cover both feet leaving the toes and heel open securing up to his ankles. He wears a pair of common synthetic black pants personally having the bottoms wrapped in white bandage wrap to prevent it dragging or getting snagged. On right his thigh is a blue rectangular holster secured and backed by white tape. Gin wears a black single utility belt tightly secured to his waist. It holds one blue holster on his right side as well as a beige carry pouch around the back side of the belt. His torso is covered by a long sleeve black shirt, the upper sleeves donning the Konoha emblem stitched in red material. Over his shirt is a slate gray colored flak jacket which is zipped up and secure on his body, provided with six scroll holsters across the torso.
His forehead protector is secured across his forehead, the cloth colored blue and with the steel plating facing forwards showing the Konoha emblem in plain view. Gin is a tall, lean male standing at 6'2 and weighing 175 lbs. He has a broad, moderately toned figure. He has a tan skin tone accompanied with rich hazel eyes and medium length brown hair stopping briefly past midway down his neck and shortly past his forehead. Because of this his forehead protector is partially covered by his hair though not greatly inhibiting identification.
In the training grounds he had a lot of prep and learning to go through. With the appearance of the Iwagakure refugees Gin developed access to some of their technique. The most notable technique to him was the Art of War. It was centered around fighting with various tools, common and unique, a Shinobi uses in their daily work. After studying the technique it even encourages Gin himself to expand his network. After purchasing a Naginata from the market he would practice with that, along with kunai and various tools to enhance his skills. The style was very well-written by a practiced Jounin. It shared not only close quarters technique, but long range such as using shuriken and throwing kunai to their maximum potency.
Gin would familiarize himself and essentially master the foundations of the technique. Using his meterohammer, Naginata, Kunai, and shuriken all in practice allowed him to become more precise and organized with his movements. Setting his tools aside he had to unwind. Reaching into his scroll pouch he unraveled all six of his small scrolls around him and placed the medium scroll before him. Digging in his pouch he retrieved a small ink vial. With a paint brush he began to scribe each of the small scrolls. When he finished he would place his palm on the center seal and emit chakra into the slot. He would do this for the first three scrolls. Each of them were successfully prepared with the Great Fireball Technique. Reaching into his hip pouch again he pulled five explosive tags and did the similar method to another blank scroll. As he did, the explosive tags disappeared and sealed with the technique.
He would prepared the other scrolls but not seal any technique inside of them, leaving them blank for the time being. It was always good to be prepared for whatever this enemy had to throw at them. If that meant sealing the contents of a potential threat, so be it. With everything he needed to prepare Gin dusted off his pants and packed up to go home. He needed to prepare himself mentally for another mission in foreign territory.
