Kazuki moved through the hallway of the Mizukage Complex with a confident stride as he made his way toward the armory. He was on his way to get more kunai and shuriken and many of his had chipped and dented from extended practice due to his brutal time in the training facility. As he moved through the winding halls of the building he, as before, found himself in the hallway with the vault in it. It was the only door on the hall but a route to the armory took one right be it. Mind you, there were other routes but this was the only one Kazuki actually knew.
He remembered the last time he was here with a bit of trepidation. In his personal quest to obtain a sword. He had come down this hall right when the lunatic ‘Burritsu’ had been trying to steal all of the legendary swords of the mist. He had happened by as Kitsuki Kurahasa was trying to talk him down. He had of course tried to hide. As he had no business trying to get involved in that problem. However Burritsu had known he was there and called him out. Kitsuki had ordered him away and despite his desire and willingness to assist she told him to leave regardless and ordered two guards to escort him away. Arisu had arrived as he left and then he did not know what else happened.
As he wandered by the vault door he noticed that there was no guard posted. Blinking in confusion, and thinking ‘surely not’ he tested the door to see if the vault had potentially been moved. The door opened willingly enough. However within were still no guards. Blinking in confusion he looked within and confirmed there were no guards. There were a variety of scrolls upon shelves though. Moving in, and speaking carefully “Hello? This isn’t unguarded is it?..” He would ask tentatively with no response forthwith. This would confuse him more. As surely no one would leave the vault unguarded after what Burritsu had just done.
‘Smoke break maybe? Or shift change? Or maybe a bathroom break?’ He thought to himself as he moved into the vault. Looking at the scrolls he saw them labeled neatly. As after all mislabeling them to stop thieves wouldn’t really do much anyway. He read ‘Fire Sword’ ‘Triple-Bladed Scythe’, ‘Marlin Harpoon’, ‘Conch Shell Mace’, ‘Petrification Gauntlet’, ‘Shinigami Mask’, ‘Tailed Beast Drug’, ‘Secret Techniques’ and ‘Ryo’. Opening the ‘Ryo’ scroll he saw the value within as ‘42,418,300’. That amount almost made him pass out. It almost had no meaning to one as poor as him. The scroll had secondary seals designed to allow one to withdraw simpler amounts so one did not have to summon out all 42 million of it at once. With that looked at he opened the exclusive scroll and began to read. He would give someone all of the time in the world to arrive to take the shift while he read. Even if it got him in trouble, it made sense to give the guards the benefit of the doubt that they would ‘be right back, really.’. However he managed to read the details of every single secret technique that Kirigakure had while he waited. Including one called ‘Kirisame’. Committing those to memory so he could potentially learn them should he ever gain water release. Or at least make derivatives with another element he did have access to.
With that done however and still no guard returning. Kazuki took every single scroll and put them in his pack. Then he left without a word. The fact that there were no guards at that moment meant they weren’t being kept properly safe. No one who would rob the vault would expect a lowly genin to have everything. He could give them to a powerful shinobi trusted by or from Kirigakure he ran into. On his way out he still went by the armory and got his kunai and shuriken. He did after all still need new ones.
