Kazuki Furukawa stepped into the main foyer of the Mizukage’s Tower, a letter in his hand as he moved up to the receptionist desk. He had requested funds to buy a rather nice weapon to facilitate his growth as a swordsman. He himself had not thought much of his chances for success. After all such things could easily be seen as just another attempt to get money out of the village for his personal use. Which technically, it was. The weapon was for him after all. However he too was a weapon for the village. Or at least one in the process of being forged. So there had been a slight hope that he would be approved for the money. He filled out a request and sent it in and to his surprise had gotten a response relatively quickly.
To his even more immense shock, they had said ‘yes’. He had been told to bring the letter to the receptionist at the Mizukage Tower and she would get him settled. The letter was over the signature of Arisu, Princess of Kirigakure. So now Kazuki was coming in to do just that. Moving over to the receptionist’s desk he cleared his throat politely and she looked up from the files she was sorting. She was a pretty woman with brown eyes and brunette hair cut into a neat pageboy. “Yes? How may I help you this morning?” She would ask politely and he would slide the letter onto her desk as he spoke. “I sent in a request for funds for a weapon and was approved. In my approval I was told to bring the letter to you and that you would sort me out.” He said as she took the letter and looked it over. Her eyes went over the signature and the request and then she flipped through a small stack of post-it notes for a memo she had taken earlier that morning.
She found it and double checked it, then opened her desk and pulled a scroll from it. “I was told to give you one million ryo for the request. It’s been pre-counted and put into this scroll.” She would say as she handed him the scroll her eyes already moving back down to his paperwork. Kazuki took the scroll, his eyes wide as he accepted it. “T-Thank you..” He would say as he turned and left. He had not in anyway expected so much money and he knew now that he could get something really great from Gyokusho. Moving quickly he pocketed the scroll and left to see how the man was coming along with his weapon.
