Suna NPCs and Traps

The Office of Ninja Intelligence comprises, primarily, the surveillance teams and is responsible for monitoring the village for threats both internal and external. While they do not outrank more combat oriented squads by default, they are typically placed in charge during times of crisis and are responsible for strategy, as well as upkeep of higher-priority missions. Among their tasks is the maintenance and monitoring of the sensory barrier, as well as the interrogation centers. They often wear highly stylized, brightly colored oni-masks or other mythical depictions when on official business, though most often keep a low profile. It is rumored that the masks indicate some kind of internal ranking system, and that the most fantastical are members of a secret inner group tasked with special, non-public assignments of a frequently sordid nature. These rumors tend to abound, but are unconfirmed, and squad members are sometimes referred to pejoratively as "spooks".

Techniques:

An elite, highly secretive force comprised of Sunagakure's finest puppeteers and sealers who perform a myriad of purposes. Mostly, they serve as a kind of secret service for the Kage and persons of interest, protecting them from the shadows with traps and puppets, though they perform more routine - but still secretive work - as the main sealing corp. Regardless, their existence and activities are of the highest clearance level, known only to a select few. They have no special garb, but almost uniformly bear tattoos reading "Chikamatsu" which are never prominently displayed. Each willingly bears the Cursed Tongue Eradication Seal, preventing the from speaking to those outside their order or chain of command about their skills, order, or knowledge, and the Reverse Four Symbols seal, should the worst ever befall them.
