    Lifestyle Expenses Empty Lifestyle Expenses

      Lifestyle Expenses provides you with a simple way to account for living in a fantasy world. They cover your accommodations, food, drink, and other necessities and niceties. When you create your character, you can choose your Lifestyle (listed below) and pay the price to sustain that lifestyle.

      Lifestyle can be set to a certain degree simply by the size of your Dwelling.

    The Lifestyles
      Squalid
        When you're at rock bottom. When the food you eat comes in trash bins and the homes you live in comes in cardboard boxes, life is very difficult living this way.

        Cost of Living per month: 0 ryo per month
        Effect:
        - All Wanderers start off with the Squalid Lifestyle and will be required to pay the Cost of Living per month in their updates.
        - All Missing Nin inherit this Lifestyle, losing their previous Lifestyle.
        - Squalid covers 10k renown and completely masks that.
        - The user cannot claim passive income nor can they claim this passive income in the future. (no back pay)
        - Access to Underworld Missions
        - Access to Black Market


      Poor
        A poor lifestyle means going without the creature comforts available to a stable community. Food is hard to come by and the food you can scrape together are meager in amounts and lack nutrition. Housing accommodations are also nearly non-existent. It is quite unpleasant to live within this lifestyle

        Cost of Living per month: 5,000 ryo per month
        Effect:
        - User has access to Underworld Missions
        - User has access to the Black Market
        - Hides a total of 1000 renown

      Modest
        Life is alright while living in a Modest Lifestyle. You don't live in the slums and can afford to live in a small apartment. You don't go hungry, thirsty, or live in a dirty and unsafe environment. It's a simple lifestyle that generally requires a lot of hard, honest work to get by.

        Cost of Living per month: 20,000 ryo per month
        Effect:
        - Those who live in an Outpost, Town, Village, or City sized Dwelling start with this at no Cost of Living per month.
        - Lose access to Underworld Missions
        - Lose access to Black Market
        - Hides a total of 0 renown

      Comfortable
        Comfortable lifestyle gives you everything you need. A climate controlled house, nutritious food and clean water to drink. Everything you would need is afforded in this lifestyle.

        Cost of Living per month: 50,000 ryo
        Effect:
        - Those who live in a Metropolis start with this at no Cost of Living per month.
        - Passive (+) to any one stat. This only affects the user while they remain in their Dwelling/Complex.

      Wealthy
        Wealthy living is what everyone wants. A life of luxury where all your needs are met with more than enough for all of the niceties you'd ever want. You have servants that'll serve you in your home.

        Cost of Living per month: 200,000 ryo
        Effect:
        - Those who are part of a clan with a Clan District located in a Metropolis start with this Wealth Level (you must be part of the village where both apply).
        - Passive (+) to any one stat. This now affects the user within all countries your Village/Organization has control over
        - Damaged Equipment is repaired at no cost.

      Aristocratic
        This is an extremely lush lifestyle as you are part of the 1%.

        Cost of Living per month: 500,000 ryo
        Effect:
        - Nobody starts at this and must pay the Cost of Living Per month to gain the benefits.
        - Passive (+) to any one stat anywhere in the world.
        - Damaged Equipment is repaired at no cost.
        - Passive gain of +150 Renown per month
        - Access to the Secret Shop

    Lifestyle Bonus
      Living Comfortable and above grants you a passive (+) to a single stat. This must be stated in your Updates which stat this will go into. You may change which stat this bonus goes to once a month.

    Repairing Items
      Those living Wealthy and above do not need to worry about their equipment as people will repair their equipment for them. Everyone else's equipment will retain their previous durability until it is repaired. These items can be repaired at any Dwelling/Compound with a Market. The price for the repair will vary depending on the rank of the item. You can find the prices for repairs in "Other Services" within the Shinobi Marketplace.

    Buying Up a Lifestyle
      Each month, you are capable of buying up a Lifestyle. If you are Comfortable Lifestyle and you wish to be Aristocratic, you can do an update buying Aristocratic. This will cost you the Cost of Living Per Month upon the request and this will last until the beginning of next month. You will maintain this Lifestyle and be required to pay upkeep of the Lifestyle at the beginning of each month's update to gain the effects of the Lifestyle.  You can, at any time after paying the upkeep, change back to your previous or to a lower Lifestyle.

    Unable to pay for Lifestyle
      Every month you have to pay upkeep on your Lifestyle (unless the lifestyle comes standard due to Village Size or Clan District). If you can't pay for the lifestyle, you will be busted down to as far as you can pay. You will live that lifestyle until you can "Buy Up" a Lifestyle. You will lose all bonuses associated with your former Lifestyle and take on the "bonuses" from your current Lifestyle.



    If you do not wish to pay for the Poor Lifestyle, you are capable of going Self-Sufficient. How you go about being Self-Sufficient is up to you whether it goes with begging or living off of the land. Living this Lifestyle, you will live the Poor Lifestyle. In order to live this lifestyle, you're required to have:
      Base Perception: C
      Base Coordination: C
    Once you have those base stats, you're capable of living the Poor Lifestyle without having to spend the Cost of Living.
