Character Resets
A character reset allows you to re-allocate your Spendable EXP allotments (from either your bloodline, your stats, or anything else that uses Spendable EXP). You may also do a few other things which will be explained later.
Things you can Reset
- Stat Allotment: You can re-allocate all of your stats. You can refund all Spendable EXP spent on your stats, returning you to the base of E Rank in every stat while refunding the Spendable EXP you spent on it.
- Bloodline Allotment: You may refund all Spendable EXP that you have invested into your Bloodline
- Unique Abilities: You are capable of swapping out Unique Abilities. The only exception to this is if you still have a debt Unique Ability that needs to be paid off. They can be traded after they have been paid off.
- Restricteds: Restricteds that you own can be traded out as well. You can only change them with Restricteds of the same level -- An Entity Level Restricted may only be traded out with another Entity Level Restricted and so on.
- Skills: You can trade Skills. Keep in mind, that if you trade away a Crafting Skill, you will lose all crafting levels associated.
- Unique NPCs: Also known as uNPCs. You may alter them to different uNPCs if you want during a Reset -- But they will still maintain their rank.
Once you have reset, you are capable of allocating all refunded Spendable EXP any way you'd like.
Things you can NOT Reset
- Bloodlines: You cannot add or remove bloodlines/clans that you possess. You are stuck with the bloodline that you started with.
- Switching Villages: You cannot switch villages
- Character History or Appearance: These cannot be changed for obvious reasons. Cannot change your history, your over-all appearance, your character's sex -- basically any immutable factors cannot be changed.
Ways to gain Resets
There are 4 main ways to obtaining a Character Reset. - 2 Week Grace Period: Upon creating a character, you get a 2-Week Grace Period Reset. This will last for 2 weeks upon after the creation of your character (when the staff member approves your Character Creation). Unlike other Resets, you are capable of changing ANYTHING involving your character to include Bloodline (as long as it remains in the same village if you have posted with this character) -- Can choose a bloodline out of the village if you haven't posted yet.
- Pass 2 Activity Checks: Upon passing 2 Activity Checks (each performed roughly 3 months apart), you will automatically gain 1 Reset. You may only get this if you don't already have a Character Reset that hasn't been used.
- Purchase a Reset Tonic: Can be obtained by purchasing a Reset Tonic under Drugs/Medical. You may only hold one and it cannot be traded nor sold. There is a cooldown between use.
Doing your Reset
To do your reset, it will be performed in your Character Updates. State what all you want to do with your reset. If it involves resetting your Spendable EXP, you will need to count it out yourself and state how much you're being refunded and where it's coming from. Then post the request in the General Requests channel and a member of staff will look into it. Staff will be sure to scrutinize everything and will keep tabs on Resets in the event someone is trying to abuse the system. |
