The mission:

It would be a few minutes. Long enough for him to completely gain his breath and relax his muscles. Tadara had suspected the bird was up to something. He had focused on remaining calm so as not to stress his mind but remaining alert all the same. These illusions took wounds like normal people but had set conditions for interaction. However the bird seemed to be a security measure. His honey colored eyes shifted to the sound of approaching steps. So either there were actual people here on the lowest levels or the illusions even made noise. It made sense since they had physical bodies. He would shift a few steps back closer to the stairs he had come up. Waiting as the steps grew closer. Now he could tell there were two identical foot patterns. So they moved in unison. Not a lot of distinction this far down. What they didn't know is he had reset the dart trap on this floor.

Tadara would wait quietly as he stood just behind the pressure plate. Watching them as they burst from the end of the corridor. Likely from the floor above. Two more faceless Samurai charging him with weapons drawn. Tadara wasted no time launching himself backwards to the stairs he had originally came up. Another trap waiting below. Sure enough the two would trigger the trap and become riddled with darts. One falling from the poison alone but the other....the other only took enough damage to slow himself down. He charged forward wordlessly. Slower and more clumsy now. Tadara would launch down the steps. Avoiding the chain and letting his pursuer give chase. Sure enough these low tier illusions were too basic and would trip over the chain once again. Slamming down into the spike trap below. Both guards fading away once more.

Tadara wouldn't bother with the same trap again. Instead he collected the two spears and slipped back up above. Immediately upon spotting the bird he threw one of the spears. Slamming into it's torso and dispersing the bird as well. No eyes to report on this level. With that done he would move cautiously to the end of the hall. It seemed both the left and the right hallway met here into one that led to a stairwell in the center. And across from the stairwell was a room with a guard. This one was already on guard. Quietly Tadara would move onto the next experiment. Using a minute amount of chakra he would utilize a low tier genjutsu. The Mist Servant technique. Immediately the enemy would begin wildly attacking the air. From it's perspective it would be facing countless dark ninja illusions. However this only confirmed that genjutsu worked on these illusions. Making it a simple matter for Tadara to approach and run one of the spears through the back of his targets neck. Dispersing it and the genjutsu. Once the door opened he would collect another tag. His honey eyes shifting calmly to the next set of stairs. Another layer of defense further up.

Description: This Genjutsu creates eerie black ninja illusions, which appear one by one from trees and rocks, and then corners the enemy. Their movements are somehow slow (E-tier Coor and Speed), but when attacked they multiply, and in this way they appear like ghosts inhabiting the mist. Kunai knives are added to this technique, by throwing them to match illusions movement, making them seem real. As the clones continue to multiply rapidly, the victim will eventually be worn down.

This technique covers a 30 meter diameter that can be cast 25 meters from the user.

Weaknesses: This Genjutsu can be avoided by stepping outside of the field of influence.
