One final mission for this long, long day Diana had subjected herself to. It was simple, kill an elephant. Diana had killed a lot of elephants already today, but apparently this particular set of ivory was special, and if Diana wanted to have the mission completed she needed to gather ivory from this specific-ass elephant. Even now as she took in deep breaths she could feel the weight of constantly working with little rest was wearing down her spirit, and all that was keeping her together was the desire to just get all of this done. She needed sleep and soup.
Tracking the elephant was easy, her employer already knew where they were and told her where they were, so Diana had simply trusted them and found one particularly large one that was separated from the herd and transformed into Nue before engaging with it. The other elephants had smartly fled, and before this one could escape either Diana had taken it down with a one-two smack from her large paws. It was...unsatisfying again. The job was simple, so simple in fact it barely felt like a job but just busywork for her to do. Making sure the beast was indeed dead regardless of what her negative emotions sensory said, she'd let out a large sigh and put the dead beast on her back using her snake tail.
Making her way to Meijing where her employer had requested the elephant be delivered, Diana pondered the past day. Her emotions had been all over the place, and the temptation to let it all out on this stupid fucking dead elephant was tempting. She wanted to rage at those who asked for her assistance, yet she knew better then to do such a thing. Perhaps this is what Chen felt, he was willing to cross that line Diana held herself back from crossing. Perhaps that was why Masaru took him under his wing, to try and make the line clear, but now that didn't matter. As Diana delivered the dead elephant whole, she marked off the mission in her head and rented a small inn for the night.
She needed rest, and she'd go back to Iwa tomorrow with Mayfly. It was going to be a long day after all.
