As Ryuko walked along the avenue she marveled at the sights of the different shops carrying all sorts of goods and food she wouldn’t normally see in Kumogakure. Everything from a fine pearl necklace to fish she’d never seen before was very fascinating but those weren’t the kind of things she’d come to shop for.
First she had to get a bit of Meteor Metal from the secret shop. It was the hardest material she could get her hands on easily and thought it irked her that it was better than her own patented adamantium, she was practical enough to put her feelings aside in favor of utility. Given what she was going to use it for, it needed to be as durable as possible since it would ultimately raise her constitution and allow her to teleport more easily without having to resort to Rafaela’s regeneration which ate away at her soul with every use.
It was just too bad the auction was so close at hand. Without a workshop available to her she wouldn’t have her new belt ready in time. Oh well, she’d just get what she needed for now and worry about actually crafting it later. Maybe Okane would have a crafting station she could borrow or something. Worst come to worst she could always return to her home base since her palace was equipped with her own private Atelier.
Next she picked up some high quality silk. Her goto material for when she needed a more flexible piece of equipment. Considering she was making a belt perhaps leather would have been a more viable option but well she was a creature of habit when it came to this kind of thing. Considering her entire layer of under armor was made of silk woven together with adamantium for extra toughness she wasn’t about to introduce unnecessary complications into the mix,
Lastly she picked up a Rebreather mask, something that was only available in Kiri. One of the reasons she’d had to avoid the big water attack during the fight with Matatabi was because she didn’t have a means of breathing underwater. Now she wouldn’t have to worry about that in the future. Plus it might come in handy for other things considering she was planning on exploring the Moon at some point if she could find a way to get to it in the first place.
Ryuko made sure to pay for her purchases by writing a check. After all she wasn’t the kind of idiot that walked around carrying millions of dollars worth of paper currency on her person on a regular basis. You do that and you might as well be carrying a sign that screamed rob me. Granted given how legendary she was, someone would have to be a real idiot to try but she didn’t want to deal with that kind of trouble if she could avoid it. After all, she wasn’t the only strong person in the world.
