The Uzumaki and their Secrets

Raphael would stand in the center of the Uzumaki training arena, the adamantine platform raised about a foot and a half off the ground with four pillars standing in each corner of the Arena. From where he was standing, he would be able to easily see anyone that entered the district as the arena was not far from the gate to the district. Raphael would take a bite from the apple he picked from the only apple tree within Kirigakure, which also sat not far from the arena where he stood, before tossing it into the air to Ryuoh who stood off to the side of the platform next to Hayami. The two merely here to watch in hopes that Raika would beat Raphael, considering Hayami told Ryuoh all about the last spar the pair had and how Raika almost had him until he called the fight. Their presence wouldn't bother Raphael in the slightest, his focus was on other things, such as whether or not Raika could actually create the chains like he believed she could.

He would be dressed similarly to when they first met, in his comfortable training clothes rather than the uncomfortable Kirigakure armor he had been forced to wear during their mission together. While he waited, he would practice a few techniques of his own to ensure that he still knew how to do them, simply because it had been a while since he had used his own fighting techniques he created when he was still a genin. In fact, it had been so long since he had used these techniques that Ryuoh was the only one still alive that ever saw him perform them, they would be new to even Hayami who didn't come into his life until halfway through his time as a Chuunin. After he ran himself through the basics he would focus his chakra into the formation of two chains, running around both of his wrist and then drapping down until they were five feet each in length. From there he would begin moving through the same basics that he just ran through, incorporating the chains into the different strikes as he performed the Chained Combat Technique. Of course, against and actual person, these chains could drain their chakra making them more dangerous than simple chains on could find at a market stall, it would take percision for Raika to be able to learn this technique, but first she would have to learn the Attacking Chains. The Attacking Chains was the first step in mastery of the chains, and from it stemmed many techniques that he would be showing her today. Then once she had fully mastered these secrets, they could move on to the second step, the much more powerful Sealing Chains. For now, the need to focus on the first step was apparent, as without her being able to perform it, Raphael would be unable to teach her any of the clan's secret techniques. Once he was done with his warmup, he would dismiss his chains as he inhaled a slow breath as he turned back to face the gates as he waited for Raika to arrive.

Raika saunters into the Uzumaki clan compound, feeling quite proud of herself, but she's constantly fighting to keep herself under control. It had taken her a lot of hours to even get as far as she had, but she thought she would get better at doing it as long as she continued to practice. She sees a stranger standing next to Hayami at the edge of the adamantine arena, with Raphael standing atop it, already working on his own fighting style. Raika walks between Hayami and the stranger before hopping up almost effortlessly onto the raised platform.

Once there, she holds her right hand out in front of her, gripping the wrist with her left hand and holding her fingers splayed out to reveal her palm, where first one link in the chain appears to slip out of her palm, and with some focus, more and more interconnected chains slip out of her palm, though it's extremely slow compared to how quickly Raphael seemed to be able to do it, and once she had a full foot of chakra chains out of her hand, she has to stop, panting before grabbing hold of the end of the chain in her right hand and spinning it around. She takes a moment to catch her breath before she looks at Raphael with some more self-assuredness in her half-lidded eyes.

"Not bad for some practicing on my own, huh? You won't be able to call me 'little' Raika for much longer at this rate..."

Then Raika sees the chains already wrapped around Raphael's hands, and she feels a little bit foolish for having felt proud of just one foot of adamantine chains, and with her confidence shot, the chains seem to retract back into her palm, making Raika wince at the sensation of them being tugged back inside all at once. It certainly felt odd, but not entirely harmful.

"Well, I just need some practice. C'mon, train me to fight like that!"

Raika gestures towards Raphael's chain-wrapped fists, making her imploring quite clear for him, although the outburst was a little out of character for her; she was maybe a bit worked up with the idea of being able to learn at least a form of this combat style that could make her even more of a terror for her enemies.

A smile formed on Raphael's face as Raika arrived within the clan district, watching as she moved up onto the lifted training area. She wasted little time and showing Raphael her concentrated focus on the formation of a single chain link before a full foot chain extended from her palm, a slow process but still impressive considering the fact that she did not grow up with the knowledge like he had. Chuckling lightly at her comment of not calling her little Raika much longer, as she retracted her chain and stated she just needed more practice before giving a slight plead to train her how he fights. It was a minor thing, but very uncharacteristic of her. The chains Raphael had would dissipate as he took a few steps closer to Raika, "Before I can teach you to fight like I do, you must first understand and master the most basic forms of our Adamantine Chains. The Attacking Chains, so why don't we start there." Raphael would then look over to the two spectators, "Ryuoh, could you join us please." The dark haired male standing next to Hayami would let out a sigh before climbing up onto the arena, Raphael would look back to Raika as Ryuoh took up position at the edge of the arena. "My good friend Ryuoh is going to be assisting in this demonstration, since he was so kind to join us today. Though he did drop out of the shinobi pursuit so I will ask that you take it easy on him, come with me." With that Raphael would move to the opposite side of the training Arena from where Ryuoh stood, once there he would turn back to Raika. "You have shown that you can create the chains, which of course is always the first step, but now we have to take it a step further." Raphael would extend his arm straight out towards Ryuoh as a chain launched from his palm the fifty-meter distance between them and struck the other man wrapping around him, of course Raphael didn't even need to lift his arm to activate his chain he did so more to show Raika how it could be done. After a second Raphael would dismiss the chain and lower his arm, "This is known as the Adamantine Attacking Chains, it is not as diverse as the chains I used in our last spar, but they are the first step in the process. Now I want you to try it, just focus your mind on what you want the chain to do and then let the chains do the rest. They want to be used they need to be used, don't concentrate on forming the chains just on what you want to do with them." The distance between them was easily achieved by the range of the attacking chains, once Raika was capable of performing them, they could move on to more of the fighting style that she wanted him to teach her.

Teaching:

Raika watches carefully as Raphael puts on a display of how the Adamantine Attacking Chains with an explanation on how they are actually used, rather than her brute-force method of forcibly just making chakra chains she'd been trying to use just to get used to making the chains herself. She figures she might feel bad about Ryuoh as he gets volunteered to be their living training dummy, as well as getting called a drop out by his good friend. But Raika doesn't feel much for Ryuoh, as it seemed to be his decision to take on this mantle. If he doesn't feel bad about it, why should she? And besides, the natural place for prey is to be in service to the killers of the world, either as allies or as a food source.

After seeing how Raphael uses his Adamantine Attacking Chains, slinging them out of his hand to wrap around Ryuoh, she moves up to stand next to him, observing the chains wrap around his good friend before the chain is dismissed and simply disappears from around Ryuoh, not even needing to be retracted back into Raphael's palm the way she had. Even so, the explanation made it sound only too simple. Instead of being daunted by the fact that it had taken her almost two days of nothing but eating, sleeping, and training just to make a single foot of Adamantine Chain, she focused entirely on just what she wanted the chains to do as she lifted her hand and pointed her palm directly at Ryuoh. She's surprised even more than anyone else likely is when a single length of Adamantine Chain erupts from her palm and wraps firmly around Ryuoh, gripping him tight. She feels an instinctual desire to attack further, but she instantly ends the technique instead, causing the chains to immediately disappear from around their training dummy.

"Holy shit..."

Seeing Raika perform the Attacking chains, Raphael would do a slow clap as he moved closer to her. "I told you it was simple didn't I, Little Raika." Raphael would say with a smug smile, actually impressed with the fact that she performed it on her first. Normally, it would take more time, considering how she had been trying to do it before. Though there was a prodigy in every generation, and she might be the one for hers who was he to judge. Still, with the first step out of the way they could now move on to variants and other tactics.  "Now, you are able to create up to six chains at any one time. How you use them is limited only by your imagination, this next one you might remember from me using it on you in our spar. Rather than the attacking chains nullifying the opponent's chakra making them no threat and easily captured, this one is meant to pull them closer to you and is amply named Get Over Here." With that Raphael would lift his arm thrusting it forward as a chain once again launched out and wrapped around Ryuoh before Raphael would pull his arm back and the chain began to retract pulling Ryuoh a few meters closer. Raphael was not that much stronger than Ryuoh even with his chakra pumping through to increase his strength, and so he wouldn't be able to pull him the full distance. It was however enough to show the basic functionality of it, looking to Raika he would begin to explain how it worked. "This is more of a weapon technique or a Taijutsu maneuver, unlike the last one I show you; it is one of the pillars of our secret FuuinTaijutsu style and can be very effective, especially if you are stronger than your opponent. The greater the difference between your strength and your opponent's, the further you will be able to pull them. Of course, the greatest limitation of this technique is the short range. Unlike most of the chains, get over here is only good if the target is within fifteen meters of you. Now go ahead and give it a try and see if you can pull Ryuoh closer to you." With that said, Raphael would take a few steps back to give Raika some room to try out the next technique.

Analyzing Raika 2/4

Teaching:

Raika feels a bit silly having used only one chain when it turns out that the Adamantine Attacking Chains technique can actually make a total of six chains, but she ignores it, assuming there was a reason he taught her using only one chain and not multiple like the jutsu was capable of. She watches and listens as he explains another application of the chains, and she sees that there was, indeed, a reason for him to teach her only the one-chain application of the attacking chains. She sees him throw his arm forwards and the chain ratchets out to wrap around Ryuoh, before he gets pulled towards the two of them a bit. She also moves back to about 15 meters away from Ryuoh, then she listens to Raphael explain how exactly the technique works and its intended usage. When she hears that the technique relies on her strength and the strength of her opponents, she takes the Arhat Fist Stance, increasing her own strength by quite a bit before thrusting her palm towards Ryuoh, shooting out a length of chain from her palm and wrapping it around Ryuoh before tugging back hard. Ryuoh gets tugged the full 15 meters to the two of them, with Raika stopping the other ex-ninja with her left hand on his shoulder, stopping him from bumping right into her.

"So... Like that?"

Raika is surprised at least as much as Raphael, not having expected her to pick up on these jutsu quite so quickly, but she seemed to be a natural at it now, as opposed to the effort she'd had to put in just to make a foot-long chain of Adamantine chain before.

"Very good, very good indeed." Raphael would reply to Raika as she completed 'get over here' flawlessly. "That's all for now Ryuoh, thank you. You can have Hayami look you over if you need." Raphael would stated calmly to Ryuoh dismissing him from the training stage, Ryuoh would bow and step away. Raphael would frown slightly at the bow, knowing that Ryuoh knew that he hated when people did that. The smile would quickly return to his face as he turned back to face Raika, "Alright so now I think we can move on to something slightly more complicated. After I show you this though, the spar will begin, and I want you to show me how well you paid attention to these lessons. If you do well, then next time I will show you the Advanced stuff." Raphael would say with a smirk, knowing that Raika would have no trouble mastering the two techniques that he had shown her as well as the one he was about to show her and be back in no time at all for another lesson.

"In this technique you will be creating two chains, however unlike the last two techniques these chains will not launch from you at your opponent, but rather hang from your arms." With those words Raphael would activate the technique he had been using whenever Raika had arrived. Chains forming around his wrist before flowing through the palms of his hands and extending out five feet long as they coiled on the ground at his feet. Raphael would take a few steps back ensure there was enough room between the two of them that he could give her a small display of how they worked combining them with his Taijutsu maneuvers as well as using them on their own all the while he would be explaining their purpose. "This technique is amply named 'Chained Combat', as the name suggests it allows us to incorporate our chains into our normal Taijutsu or even use them as a stand alone technique. The added bonus is with each strike of the chains against a target you effectively seal away a small portion of their chakra, so the more strikes you can land with them the faster a fight will come to an end." Once he was done with his show and tell display, Raphael would once again dismiss his chains and look to Raika to see what she could do.

After she performed the technique, Raphael would take the exact same defensive stance in his Body of the Bear fighting style that he had at the beginning of their first spar, interested to see just how much she had improved since then as well as how quickly she could learn to incorporate what he had shown her into her fighting style.

Analyzing Raika 3/4

Teaching:

Raika raises an eyebrow when Raphael simply dismisses Ryuoh now that they've finished with his help in training and the assistant bows to Raphael in such a formal manner; she didn't think he would be the kind of person that liked this stuffy clan leader lifestyle of the Uzumaki clan, and judging by the frown he gives off to his own friend, it seemed she was right in her assumption. If she were more expressive like some of the other Kirigakure ninja like Blitz or Michelangelo or Dante, she might have smiled or even laughed at the interaction, but Raika was her usual emotionally distant self. Instead, her interest is once again piqued when Raphael explains that after he trains her with this next technique, that's when their spar will actually begin, along with a promise for even more advanced training if she does well; her eyes are even shining a bit, showing her eagerness to get into training this with the Uzumaki clan leader.

She listens as he explains to her the way this technique is done, with the chains hanging down instead of being launched at the opponent this time. Raika wonders for a moment why she would simply allow the chains to hang from her arms instead of flinging them out to attack her opponents when he explains to her that really, they would be used to add even more power to her taijutsu techniques, by allowing her to utilize the chakra-sapping power of the chains in addition to the power of the taijutsu techniques. She watches as Raphael makes a pair of five-foot long lengths on each hand, and she remembers a bit of her previous attempt to do just that. But she recalls the previous lesson, that the chains didn't need to be forced into that form; her chakra wanted to become chains, so there was no need to force the chakra to comply. She merely had to guide it to take the form she needed. Before she's even aware of it, she has a five-foot length of black chain in each hand, which she wraps around the same arms' wrists once to keep them from directly tugging on her own palms before she takes on a fighting stance she'd been practicing in secret for a while now.

Her body seems to sway to a specific rhythm that only she can hear, moving back and forth as Raphael takes on the Body of the Bear stance that she'd learned herself before; with her arms swaying with the motions of her body in a nearly hypnotic style, the chains criss-cross in front of her, delaying an approach from Raphael before she uses the momentum to shoot her right hand palm-forwards at Raphael, causing the chain to spring forwards towards Raphael like a whip.

However, Raika immediately follows up the palm thrust with a return to the rhythmic and shifting stance as she approaches closer, now only a meter away when she suddenly drops back, her left leg straight out and her right foot bracing the ground, while her right arm is up in a defensive posture and her left arm is bracing her upper body. With a sudden shift, she acts as though she's about to try and sweep his ankles with her left leg, but then she twists her upper body, putting her right arm down and raising her left arm as she turns her entire body into the fulcrum, leaping off her right foot to aim a sudden snap-kick to the side of his body; if she struck, whether blocked or successfully landing the strike, she would attempt to follow-through all the way to a standing position with her left leg catching the ground so she can regain her balance and return to her hypnotic movements; should the strike miss, she would simply spin back into position, the spinning of her arms allowing her to beat back a counter-attack by whirling the chains around her.

Raphael had learned from their last fight that like himself Raika was a very unpredictable fighter, hard to pin down and fast on her feet. As he took his body of the bear stance, Raphael would watch as she would begin to seemingly dance. He was unsure what she was doing, but he knew better than to lower his guard. Letting his chakra flow through his body to increase his overall coordination, as he knew he would need it in this spar, Raphael would also activate Vigilance. Flowing chakra to his eyes to increase is sight, with how fast she was able to move the last time, he did not wish for a repeat of nearly getting blindsided by her speed. The way she incorporated the chains into whatever she was doing was impressive, and when she made her move the chains would extend her reach just as they were meant to. Coming at his head like a whip, the chain was easy enough for him to dodge around without much effort or expense of chakra. Even though in his defensive stance, he could take a hit if he needed to, he knew better than to let the chains touch him. Watching her as she began to dance closer, Raphael would continue to have a smile on his face. Whatever this fighting style was that she was using, if Raphael were to use a single word to describe it, it would be unique. He was a student of many different fighting style, and he had never seen one such as what she was doing.

As Raika moved to make another attack, Raphael would use his calm water maneuver to defend. Using his hand and her own momentum to avoid the attack as he also attempted to throw her off balance, unlike their last spar however he wasn't going to just defend. She had already proven herself to be a capable fighter, and so after avoiding her kick and attempting to throw her off balance Raphael would switch to the attack. Whether he succeeded in his attempt to throw her off her balance or not Raphael would use the fact that she closed the distance between them to his advantage, in such close proximity already the chains she was using would be less effect for her to use to defend. His fist coming in fast as his own chains would quickly form over his hand, aiming for her leg that she had just attempted to hit him with in the back of the knee after he was able to deflect the kick. If his attack hit it would instantly seal away thirty of Raika's chakra, of course this strike also came with a high price of its own. The Chained fist style of fighting wasn't meant for the sealing of chakra like most of the other chain techniques the Uzumaki had within their repertoire, however considering their nature it was still possible and easy enough for him to be able to accomplish. Focusing his own large amount of chakra into the strike to ensure that the strike did as it was intended to do, hoping that with the sudden counter that she wouldn't be able to block this quick follow up, as it would be a waste of his chakra if he missed.

Whether his attack would hit or not, Raphael would not stay close for another follow up and instead move backwards away from Raika attempting to put some distance between the two of them. Remaining in his chained fist stance, Raphael would take a defensive posture for any follow up that Raika might have for him after his attempt had been made. This was already turning into an exciting match for him, considering he was not only going up against a person that causes him to think rather than be easily defeated as well as the fact that they were using some strange fighting style that he had never seen before. He was beginning to wonder if teaching her Chained Combat was such a good idea now, as it only made her more dangerous for him during their sparring. Though he was never one to shy away from a challenge.

Techniques:

Raika only frowns a bit more when her first kick misses, until Raphael instead tries to push her leg faster as it brushes past him, and the frown changes to a rare predatory grin as Raphael has now mistakenly turned a miss into an assured hit. Raphael, never having seen the technique, had unwittingly aided her, as a simple miss would have simply returned her to the normal stance, but attempting to push her into a faster spin to make her lose balance is precisely what her new fighting style aims to employ, by turning momentum into power. She does, however, have to switch from focusing on improving her body's ability to absorb blows to an intense focus on improving her agility and flexibility to ensure that she's able to perform her next move capably. Of course with the next attack aimed at the back of her right knee, she needed to be faster than she was moving now. She actually uses the added momentum by kicking off her left leg and snapping it next to her right leg to balance the new momentum, boosting off her arm instead of simply following through as originally planned; instead, she's changed her method of attack, simultaneously leaping above the punch and aiming a two-legged kick at Raphael's head.

This wasn't really how she expected to train the Armada Dupla, but one doesn't necessarily get the chance to train as one would prefer, especially in a spar. Now instead of simply allowing herself to be struck, she was swinging both legs in a spinning swipe towards Raphael's face. Instead, Raika is disappointed when Raphael manages to evade the attack by simply moving further back; but this genin isn't taking that evasion quite so easily. Instead, she allows the chain on her right arm to disappear so she can bring her right arm towards Raphael, palm out. Her eyes are focused intently on the Uzumaki clan head, and her own chakra chain blasts out of her palm towards him as well, aiming to wrap around him as she uses one of the jutsu he'd just taught her. Should the attacking chain manage to wrap around Raphael, she continues the momentum of her Armada Dupla by landing on her foot, and then twisting it into the next spinning attack, raising first her left foot, and then as soon as her right foot leaves the ground, she initiates the pull for Get Over Here, launching herself the full 15 meters to her target as her body builds up rotational force, which gets doubled up as she twists her upper body, swinging her right leg up over her stabilizing left leg. With her body already turning from the spinning jump off the ground, this second kick is now being delivered with maximum momentum towards Raphael's face.

Despite all this speed, her mind is still fast enough to come up with a name for this particular move, although she's not sure she would classify it as a singular technique just yet...

Raphael would smirk as he moved back dodging the attempt Raika made at his head, however that smirk was quick lived as he felt the chains latch onto him. Even with his increased perception they moved faster than his eyes were capable of keeping up with, he knew this attack was going to hit and he didn't have much time just barely able to adjusts his chakra flow to support his defense a fraction of a second before the impact from Raika's attack. The kick hitting him square in the face as he gets knocked back, luckily thanks to his adaptive fighting style using his chakra the attack was not able to do much damage beyond a bloody nose. Raphael would not even feel the need to heal himself from the strike, the nose would stop bleeding on its own after a few seconds. Lying on his back for a moment, he thought about the mistake he made in showing her how to use the chains, but that thought was quickly squashed by the thought that he would finally have an opponent that would give him a challenge.

Kicking his feet and twisting his body, Raphael would begin to spin himself on the ground before rising back up onto his feet in a fluid motion, a smile radiating from his face as he looked upon Raika. "Well now, that was certainly unexpected." He would say with a small chuckle, "as always, you continue to impress me little Raika. It seems I should not take it easy on you any longer." Of course, that last statement was a complete lie, he had not been taking it easy on her. That attack had happened so fast he had no hope of stopping it and if it wasn't for his adaptability, he wouldn't have been able to defend against it either. Returning to his original stance of the Chained Fist Style Raphael would inhale a breath before Darting forward at an increased speed, closing the distance between the two that was made from him getting kicked backwards. Moving forward like a flowing rapid, not travelling in a straight line to her but sporadically across the training area as he got in closer to her where he would use his 'Wrath of the Kraken' technique to deliver a series of powerful and quick blows to her before preforming a backflip away to put some distance back between them.

Raika is actually surprised that she'd managed to catch the Jounin in her attack, having used jutsu in combination for a particularly strong attack that she hadn't expected to succeed with. Despite her surprise, she's already returned to moving in that side-to-side swaying of her newly developed fighting style, allowing the whip-like chains to at least make approach more difficult. She glances out of the side of her eye at Ryuoh and Hayami, wondering if she'd maybe done too much when she notices him coming back up, although he is now sporting a bloody nose from her attack. She's aware that he'll heal quickly, though, so she really isn't too worried about it anymore. At least, she isn't worried for him, but now he says that he won't hold back against her anymore. Outwardly, Raika scoffs a bit, but she knows that Raphael became a Jounin for a reason.

She blinks as he rushes towards her suddenly, but her eyes are able to keep track of his movements. She decides that it might be better to improve her ability in reflexes if he's going to approach her that way, and so she drops out of her Capoeira stance and returns simply to her clan's four-legged fighting stance, but she improves her own flexibility and reaction time by focusing her chakra over her joints and nerves, further accelerating her body's ability to dodge and to attack with greater speed. As Raphael approaches and attempts to take her on, she simply slips around his strikes, molding chakra along her claws as well as the lengths of Adamantine Chains wrapped around her wrists as she slips under and strikes at his legs with one powerful strike, though she's actually careful to only hit him with a glancing blow if possible.

"Hmph. So much for not going easy on me anymore!"

As soon as he saw her drop to her low stance, Raphael would surge the chakra through his body returning it to help him in his body movement. Remembering from the last time they had sparred how fast she had moved with that style of fighting, he knew that he needed the coordination in order to dodge. As Raika would go to strike at his leg, Raphael would pick up his leg as he pivoted his momentum on his other foot spinning his body so that the leg that she was going to strike was now spinning back around to strike her. Normally this would be a low strike to her leg, but due to the positioning she was in from being on all fours, this particular heel strike would be coming straight at her head. He wouldn't be aiming to hit her, fully expecting her to be able to move out of the way, once his whirlpool kick was done whether it struck or not, Raphael would leap backwards putting distance between the two of them before using the Get over here techniques on one of the pillars in the corner of the arena and using it to pull him towards it at a faster pace than he could move on his own. Once he was next to the pillar, his attention would briefly shift to his two companions that were watching them, wondering if they were going to make a remark about her striking him before or the fact that she had kept him on the defensive. It would only be for a second that his attention would be off of Raika before returning it back to her, nearly forgetting that they were in this fight and getting sidetracked before returning his attention back to the woman he was supposed to be fighting.

Raphael would take on a defensive posture of the chained fist style now that his attention would be back on the spar, waiting for Raika to make a move if she had not already by the time his attention returned. He would not try to close the distance between them again, that was a mistake for him. It was better this way, he was much more of a defensive fighter in the first place.

Raika frowns as her strike misses his foot, watching the Uzumaki twist his body into a spinning heel kick. But she doesn't wait for him to bring his foot around to her head; she instead uses her extended claw that she'd just missed his foot with as the grip necessary to bring her forwards, instead, twisting her body around just like a cat to land behind him on all fours instead and allowing his foot to start coming back around before she takes a swipe at his grounded leg. Unfortunately for the genin, Raphael is already hopping up and flying across the Adamantine arena, using his Get Over Here technique to pull himself back out of trouble once more. She doesn't let him see, but she pricks her left thumb with her own claw a little when he turns his attention to his two associates before she's already dashing towards him again, switching back and forth at random points in order to throw off any attempt to use that same technique to grab her and pull her towards him. Her eyes never leave him, ensuring that she can react if he attempts to try any other tricks before she reaches him.

Once she's directly in front of him, making it hard for him to use his own chains, she increases her agility to swipe with her claws, aiming one slash at his knees with a right, his hips with her left, then his chest with another right; but she uses the momentum to spin her around for a final, massive swing at his chest once more, each slash coming out rapidly, though she only aims for skin deep lacerations. Regardless of whether or not her strikes land, she follows up with another attack, swinging her left arm downwards for a final strike aimed at his collarbone.

Should the final downward strike miss and land on the arena floor instead, she would use the downward slam to initiate a summoning instead, bringing forth one of the larger cats from her clan's summoning contract, Rokino; this would make things quite a bit harder for Raphael.

As Raika made her approach, Raphael would launch out three orbs made of his adamantine chains. These chains would all be aimed at different locations, one where she was and then one on either side of where she would be able to move to avoid the first one. The chain orbs would be moving at 125 meters per second towards her as she moved closer to him, and if they should make contact, they would instantly wrap around her and prevent her from moving and seal away her chakra in the process. Unless she was stronger than Raphael had seen, she would not be able to break free of them once they made contact with her, if they made contact with her. These orbs would be his last-ditch effort to stop her attempt to get closer to him as well as end the fight, looking over to the two observers earlier had given him a glimpse of something that kept his mind going from the fight there had been another Uzumaki there that was walking away, and the look on Hayami's face told him that it wasn't good news.

If the attack was successful, then Raphael would look to Raika with slight disappointment written on his face. "I am sorry Raika. I am afraid I am going to have to cut this session short, but you have done well. Keep practicing and you will be able to master the more advanced abilities of the clan." With those words he would step off the training area towards Hayami and Ryuoh, his chains that bound Raika disappearing as he did so.

Exit Attempt if Attack hits.

Raika sees the first ball only because it's coming straight on, so she dodges to the left, hoping to avoid it, only to catch the left-side orb right on her hip, halting her as the chains suddenly wrap around her and sap her chakra until she's far too drained to fight; not that she hadn't already used a great deal of chakra. Still, she'd been planning on calling forth one of her summons to make the fight even easier for her. Raika frowns as she's tied up with only one orb of those Adamantine Chains from Raphael, unable to even use her Fuuinjutsu skill to be able to take apart the chains, much less her strength; for now, she was trapped. Luckily for her, it seemed that Raphael was also done with the spar, as he tells her that the session will be cut short.

Once the chains disappear from around her, she frowns a bit, and decides that maybe she should become closer to Raphael's equal; she knows that the Ryuutei clan has some treasures meant for the clan leader, and so perhaps she should go and seek power there for now, just to see if she can attain it.

"Very well. I plan on mastering all of the Uzumaki clan techniques when next we meet."

But she's mostly talking to his back, maybe also to his assistants. Raika turns towards the Uzumaki clan compound's gates, choosing to once again return to the Ryuutei clan to stake her claim, now armed with some of her other clan's techniques to boost her combat abilities.
