Unique Abilities:
Achana appears as a normal female of average height, Clocking in at a modest five-feet and four-inches. Though she belongs to the Yurei Clan, her hair color is jet black due to her father's genetics haven been more dominant in that regard. Her build is only complementary of an athlete, sporting a learn physique with the expected feminine curves, but nothing excessive or gratuitous in that particular department.
Dealing with illness during her younger years, and a problem with breathing issues, Achana wears a respirator to assist with keeping out fine particles. This also keeps part of her face hidden, as she prefers to keep an aura of mystery about herself when it comes to outsiders, and even her own Village. This motif is kept up in the rest of her dress as she wears a baggy, knee-length, coat. This tapers off to baggy tactical-cargo pants, and down to her sandals.
Beneath the coat, Achana would wear a sport-tank top that ends at the navel. A tattoo of a great white shark with red eyes circles her left bicep. Achana also has a scar on her left-side collar bone from an injury sustained in her days at the Academy. When it came to make-up and the like, she would accentuate her eerie red eyes with darker eyeshadow in order to make them stand out more. Her Hidden Mist Headband would be tied around the right shoulder of her coat.
History:
Achana was born to the family Sonozaki through her mother's marriage of a local merchant in The Village, choosing to take his last name, over the clan from which they came. From the very early ages of infancy, she like her two brothers and sister to come, dealt with being frail and the conditions of her mother's bloodline limit that she had inherited. It had become the source of a few scares, especially during the winter months when a simple cold for her turned into a life-or-death matter.
As she matured, Achana trained in the ways of taijutsu and chakra manipulation under her mother, as she was determined to become a kunoichi just like her parent. She did not have much of an interest in the mercantile machinations of her father. It was during her early ages she actually demonstrated a talent for her kekkai-genkai, being able to project her sight and spy on the local kids as a means of gaining the upper hand in hide-and-seek. It was through these games she unknowingly discovered the true value of her sight. It was something she took to quite naturally as opposed to other aspects of her training, which were about as mediocre and un-noteworthy as one could imagine.
Achana's days in the Kirigakure Ninja Academy were spent learning the skills she would need to be successful in the Village's military. They were a service to Water Country, and it was part of her plans to become a famous, or infamous (if you were on the wrong side), information gatherer and hunter for the institution. Criminals and Rogues were always a blight on any Village, and if she were part of a good cell of hunters, she knew her sight could be the asset to tip the balance in favor of success in missions that it would play a vital role in.
Now, graduated, and with marks and scars to prove her dedication from various sparring matches with her classmates (including one that was not sanctioned by her instructor and lead to a nasty kunai injury that needed stitches), Achana is a Genin. A rookie on the books of the Mist, she's now walking the path to being the long-range assassin and intelligence operative that she was born to be.
Personality:
Achana's personality is one that many might consider aloof and standoffish at first meeting. She often regards those she meets with an intense stare as she analyzes them and makes a judgement of them based on their appearance. The fact she wears a respirator mask keeps her mouth hidden and makes it difficult to read her facial expressions or gauge what sort of mood she might be in.
When outside of combat, and with her friends or squad mates, she can be cheerful and friendly. Though, her tendency to indulge in dark humor might not play well with those who find such to be offensive or off-putting. Though to those who seem put off by her behavior, she does not seem to pay them much mind, and is often dismissive of their objections. It is hard for her to see it as any fault of her own that they might be upset, and she will often dismiss the individual and claim it is their own problem they're offended, and possibly 'too sensitive to hang with a real ninja'.
Though, for her social flaws, in combat is where she makes up for them. Achana is a calculating fighter who prefers to watch and wait for the right time to attack, aiming to hit her target's weak point. Given her lack of true physical aptitude, rendering her enemies helpless by the efforts of Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, and proper stealth tactics are her best options. Though, if put in a team scenario, she will often play the ranged support, providing cover and distractions for the more up-close and personal fighters to get in some fight-winning shots. Unlike some in the Hidden Mist, she does not care who gets the finishing blow, just so much as the mission is a success. It is her belief that anyone of a higher position would be able to recognize and reward her contribution appropriately. Thus, why she sees little reason to boast or brag.
