Kitsuki knew that eventually she'd have to return to Kirigakure. She couldn't control the other Princesses and she knew they'd go back to the city when it suited them. She could only control when she did and sooner was usually better than later. She was aware of the things that could happen should a military installation remain unguarded for too long. Once she had finished her share of the clean up duties, she packed some things and prepared to head out. Kitsuki had heard that her sister had fallen victim to the plague during the battle and so she had rescued her sister from the medical tents. She arranged for Katsumi to be taken to Kirigakure by a separate medical boat. Once in the village, Katsumi would be provided the best of care and their parents could visit her. It hurt Kitsuki to see that she had once more lost her sister, but it felt good knowing that she at least knew where the kunoichi was. The resurgence of the plague could have been bad luck or it could have just been a convienent excuse for the doctors being unsure of what was wrong with her. Kit wasn't sure if this had to do with Rei or perhaps the after-shocks of the Indaina Kujira's power, but she couldn't dwell on the subject. Katsumi was alive and she was safe. That was all that mattered for now.

Kitsuki boarded a boat bound for Kirigakure and set sail back to her home.
