Unique Abilities:
Seal-less Combat (Water): Takara is a water prodigy and can use techniques of that element without hand seals. However, this is only gesture-less casting. The player must still "charge" their chakra and follow the other "tells" or triggers such technique requires.
One-handed Seals: Takara may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.
Appearance:
Takara stands at six foot even, having hit her growth spurt early and filled out very well in the past couple of years of her life. Her dark skin is flawless, unscarred and obviously the young woman takes care of her body, subtle hints of raw muscle across her body without being overly present. She has bright blue eyes that stand out very well against her dark brown hair that is wavy and thick, reaching her shoulder blades and held in a variety of styles. She tends to have a preference towards blue clothing, and her family has a clan symbol, but isn’t truly a clan, which is usually present alongside the Kirigakure symbol on her clothing. She wears her headband on top of her head to hold her hair down while still showing it proudly, but that is about as ‘flashy’ as she gets, and she almost always wears a swimsuit underneath her clothing.
History:
Takara was born of her father, Taka, a ninja of Kirigakure, and Katara, her mother, who was a slave that was freed by her father. Her father was Takara’s hero, constantly bragging about his missions and how many people he had helped. Her mother, however, was far more withdrawn and quiet, but very intelligent and while she did not talk much, when she did, everyone listened. She was the bedrock that anchored the family, and while she did not work directly, the home was never dirty or unorganized, and she always seemed to be able to generate a bit of extra income somehow, but it was never questioned how. Overall, for the first five years of her life, Takara was happy and healthy.
But when she was five, her mother pulled her aside and sat her down after she had finished her morning chores with a dire look on her face. She was told that her father had died on a mission, but instead of shielding her from the harsh truth of it, she instead told Takara every detail. Her father had been on a recon mission near the border when a couple of Missing Nin ambushed them, drawn to them by her father’s loud and boisterous nature. It was supposed to be a routine mission without combat, and Taka had gotten complacent, not caring about his volume or his awareness. Complacency had killed her father, and she cautioned that if she wanted to walk down the same path, she must never be complacent, something that Takara understood very well.
Over the next few years, Takara became quiet and withdrawn, but extremely vigilant, taking the lessons from her mother to heart. Enrolling into the academy, already dead set on becoming a shinobi, she quickly set herself apart with her profound intellect, but made it a point to pull the teachers aside and not make a big deal about it if at all possible. They asked why she didn’t have a sense of pride or was more confident, and she had to explain that it wasn’t a lack of either of those things, but she didn’t want the attention. It took some time and adjustment, but it wasn’t long before she was looking into advanced learning while others were still working on basic math and such. Where she was struggling a bit more was the physical development because she refused to train in that direction on her time off like the others.
It was during training one of these times that she discovered that she had an innate talent for Water Jutsu without meaning to; during a small spar, she wound up using a water Jutsu, and to everyone’s amazement, it was without any use of seals. So she focused on using it as her primary means of combat, and began to excel in that realm too. It wasn’t too long before she graduated and began doing basic missions, but because of her reclusive nature, she managed to keep from joining any team directly, and stuck with the lowest rank of missions simply to help her mother continue managing the house and bills for years. Growing into her body she began to draw a new type of attention, even more unwanted than the last, but at that point she no longer cared, and a Kiri Nin who was capable of ignoring them outright.
Personality:
Takara is a woman of few words, choosing instead to speak through her actions and to avoid limelight wherever possible. When she does choose to speak, however, it is abundantly apparent that she is extremely intelligent, observant and on the rare moments that she pipes up, whatever it is that she has to say is very important. Even being as soft-spoken as she is, Takara does not shy away from conflict or even social situations, but instead opts to blend into the background if possible and wait for the right moment to interject, and even then only if necessary. She is very loyal to her village and her mother, and it is often found as the compelling force to push her out of her comfort zone.
Confident when she chooses to act or speak, Takara is a young woman who is distinctly aware of both her capabilities and her flaws, and is tireless in her pursuit of power if for no other reason than to simply never be caught in a situation like her father was. She is easily annoyed by those who are overly loud, but also will not stop them from being so, as the memories of her father surface around people like that, unless it is someone who is on her team or jeopardizing whatever mission she is on. The one thing that absolutely infuriates her as well as is her greatest fear is subjugation, and a lack of any sort of choice or freedom. Her mother, being a slave, has told her the horrors of what becomes of people like that, and she will absolutely have no hesitation in breaking the chains that keep people from exercising their own free will, if possible.
