- 1 Skill for 500 EXP+Stat Increase
- 1 Skill for 500 EXP+Stat Increase
Starting EXP 3500 (1650+1000+850)
Level 1 - Basic Bloodline [0 exp] - The free starting level for anyone born within the Kurama bloodline. Even at this level the Bloodline User's skill at Genjutsu is strong enough that their Intelligence/Perception is treated as 1 tier higher when attempting to recognize that the Bloodline User is trapped by an enemy Genjutsu User or when the Bloodline User is attempting to trap a target in a Genjutsu.
Level 2 - Lesser Bloodline [500 exp] - At this level the Bloodline user's Genjutsu is strong enough that the amount of people they can trap as well as the range & skill of their Genjutsu has increased dramatically. All Genjutsu technique ranges are doubled and take 1 post less to set in for the Bloodline User. (Minimum 1 post if it does require a set in time)
Level 3 - Greater Bloodline [500 exp] - Those who have honed their Kurama Bloodline have become masters in their own right, even if they don't have access to the true power of the Kekkei Genkai. Bloodline users with this level can use Genjutsu techniques by paying CP 1 rank lower then normal and take half the word count to learn genjutsu techniques.
1-Handed Genjutsu [250 exp] - A useful skill refined by the Kurama Clan's bloodline, allowing proper chakra flow when using Genjutsu. This ability allows the Bloodline User to use genjutsu techniques with one hand without any additional stat penalty. Highly convenient when several Genjutsus are needed in rapid succession. Requires: Level 1
Signless Genjutsu [500 exp] - An oft forgotten skill granted to many Bloodline users, it is often neglected as many assume it is only limited to those with full access to the bloodline. This ability allows the Bloodline user to use genjutsu techniques without signing and without any additional stat penalties. While it often limits what genjutsus are usable as some techniques require the target looking at the Genjutsu user's signing or a musical instrument, it is a handy skill to have off hand. Requires: Level 2; C-Rank Intelligence; 1-Handed Genjutsu
Kurama Umare [1000 exp] - The rare souls born with this ability can inflict physical damage on those caught within their Genjutsu by tricking their victim's mind into harming themselves. This damage ignores most physical defenses such as armor and natural defenses like animal shells or scales. (In technical terms Genjutsu made by the bloodline user that deal Int-based damage can do Con-based damage instead) In addition, Users who are trapped within the Bloodline User's Genjutsu attempting to use a technique to dispel the genjutsu must pay 1 rank higher then the technique normally requires. (X-tier techs still cost 35 as per the stamina rules)

Unique Abilities:
- Blessing's Curse - Even for a member of her clan, Unkyo possesses a stronger level of Genjutsu than most of her brethren. This gives her an extra 850 exp at start-up to demonstrate this. However, she may not be able to control it proper, requiring her to pay this debt back before advancing exp.
- Beautiful Glamour - An example of her uncontrollable genjutsu, Unkyo maintains an illusionary mask around her at all times. Targets who lay any of their physical senses upon her will find the woman to be incredibly attractive. While this heavily affects her physical appearance such as making her breasts, butt, etc seem as large or as small as whatever the target views attractive; this attractiveness expands beyond simple sexuality. It also heavily affects how the target views her mannerisms, likability, trustability, and the desire to have her around. Because of this, she suffers a minus (-) in her Stamina in order to maintain it. Breaking through this illusion will reveal her truth and showcase her as the plain Jane she truly is.
- Wondrous Touch - Whenever Unkyo makes physical contact with another, the woman unknowingly casts an illusion upon them. This causes every touch she makes upon a target to light up nerves and fire off reward centers of the mind as they practically melt underneath her fingertips. A simple swipe of her hand across their arms will send shivers down their spine while a massage can make even the most hardened of souls practically drool. This effect lasts only while Unkyo is making contact with them. Should she break contact for more than one post, the illusion will subside. The warmth and blissful sensations they felt, however, will not.
- Appearance:
- General Appearance:
Ever since unknowingly casting an illusion upon herself, the fairly average looking young woman blossomed into a beautiful lady. Her pale skin has become one of her more outstanding characteristics. It is smooth and without any noticeable flaw, baring the small exception of a natural birthmark underneath her right eye. This proves to be very rare among ninja due to her lack of scars, calluses, and other signs of physical training - only further aiding the allusion she is an entertainer and hostess. Effectively the perfect spy. Her eyes are an alluring shade of lilac. Meeting glares often entices shivers down the spine while stares is an invitation of getting lost in tranquility. As these are one of her strongest assets, Unkyo decorates them with flattering neutral tones and subtle use of eyeliner. Blush highlights the apple of her cheek and tip of her nose while a simple shine of gloss covers her supple lips.
Outside of her beauty, one thing most envy is her hair. It is a dark brown to almost black hue that seems to vary solely on the amount of light she is exposed to. She has grown it out since she was a child with a length that extends nearly down to her knees. While working, it is pulled up in ornate headdresses of precious metals. Charms often dangle off these to frame her face and draw even more attention to her gaze. In rare times she must act as a ninja, she prefers to leave her hair down and controlled through various ribbons and braids. Whatever the situation calls for, the locks are always well cared for, soft to the touch, and hold a nice floral scent.
Attire is the most diverse. She seemingly never will wear the same attire twice preferring ornate kimono of only the finest of materials. The patterns decorating them tell beautiful stories if one pays close enough attention. This makes her truly a walking piece of art to be admired and enjoyed in splender. The one thing that tends to be the same is her preference for purple hues. She likes playing off the color of her eyes. While in this garb, okobo of impressive height or ornate geta are typically worn. Because of her training, even these clog-like shoes can become silent at a moment’s notice. As a ninja, purple sleeveless kosode is her preferred attire. Though she sacrifices beauty for functionality, her lavish lifestyle causes a decorative obi to be tied at the waist to keep her waist accentuated nicely.
- Ido Form:
Unkyo's Ido is in many ways a mirrored reflection of the woman with the one exception that it is distinctly ghoulish in appearance. Her skin becomes even more ghostly white as if it has lost the warmth expected of a living body. Horns pierce out of the top of her forehead and those beautiful purple eyes shift into an unnatural viper-like yellow. Hair shifts into a pure white and only seems disheveled and unkempt. This demonic variant is often only seen by Unkyo in herdreamsnightmares, but may show itself to others through her Genjutsu or the occasional reflection she might cast.
- History:
- The story of the Kurama is a sad one. They are a clan that has dwindled down to scraps, doing everything in their power to try and survive. They abandoned their home village and migrated north in hopes of finding new prosperity. All this did was weaken ties and cause great discourse. Though Kumogakure was welcoming to have a family that held a potentially powerful Kekkei Genkai, dilution had left it rare. The family was nothing more than just illusionary specialists - strong minds with weak frames. They could only do so much for the Cloud.
In hopes of reclaiming some strength, the story of Unkyo came to be. Kumogakure had a clan with illusionary process that matched if not exceeded their own. These were the Yokai - literal demons that were as horrifying to look at as one might imagine. The Kurama hoped that by mixing their blood the bloodline’s potential could be reawakened. Of course after no one volunteered, a lone woman was forced into an arranged marriage. Though her illusions were powerful, she lacked means to properly fight him off. Genjutsu she performed were simply pierced through and broken and her little strength caused herself more harm whenever she tried to punch and kick him off. To the Yokai, he took great pleasure in her suffering. He tormented her waken and sleeping hours and raped her whenever he needed to sate his desires.
Eventually, she gave birth to a girl she named Unkyo. Like the Baku branch, her skin was unbelievably pale, her eyes an unnatural purple, and small nubs of would-be horns grew from her forehead. The pregnancy and delivery was rough on the mother. Not only that but every time she looked at her newborn she was only reminded of those demons. Her only escape was suicide via poison. This left little Unkyo in a strange place. To the Yokai, they saw her lack of a full demonic form as a sign of weakness and wished to not have her. To the Kurama, they really didn’t want another weak female and only took her out of obligation.
Despite this view point, the experiment the clan tried turned out to be a success. Unkyo did have a very powerful illusionary potential. And like many “blessed” Kurama, she held difficulties trying to control it. This was especially the case once her Devil’s Eyes awoke. Without meaning to, she would cast illusions through sight alone. A misspoken word would could cause large consequences that could hurt her fellow clans members. It made her regret her demon side so much that she couldn’t stand her own appearance. In a moment of wild teenage emotion, she looked at her reflection in a mirror as tears streamed down her face. “I want to be normal!” she cried. “I want to be pretty.” And like that, her illusion was placed upon herself. It hid her horns, gave some slight color to her skin, and make her seem just like she wanted to be. But be careful what you wish for.
As she moved through the town unafraid to receive those shocked looks for the first time in her life, she found that she still had stares. But they were stares of a much different gaze. They wanted her attention, doted over her, and sent her smiles she never had received before. Immediately she realized that this was something she could take advantage of. While many of her peers and classmates went on the more traditional route when it came to becoming a shinobi, she instead decided to head down an espionage pathway. She became a true kunoichi who took the guise of a beautiful maiko, geisha, and even the occasional role as an oiran. She utilizes her powerful talents in Genjutsu to attract, seduce, and gather information from various high ranking officials and generals so that she can share it with Kumogakure.
- Personality:
- As a child, Unkyo was fairly shy and soft-spoken. She lacked confidence in herself and frequently held back her voice in fear of it causing conflicts she truly didn’t wish to have. But after her Kekkei Genkai awakened and shifted her appearance to others, she quickly learned that being beautiful had its perks. People seemed to like her more and take notice of her presence. A few suggestions and idle flirts was often enough to cause shift in opinions and sway the masses in her favor. By the time she became a practicing kunoichi, Unkyo has become quite manipulative. The least amount of effort she has to do to get the results she likes the better. This is only fitting with her preference and talents with Genjutsu.
In most cases, Unkyo is calm and collective. She has a very analytical side to her. This allows her to think under pressure and determine the best course of action with the least amount of conflicts - if possible. That being said, there is still an untapped amount of rage boiling within her. These are her literal demons representing her Ido. This demonic state definitely holds a lack of humanity. She becomes sadistic and cares little for the well-beings of others. As much as the woman hates this side of her and blames it solely on her heritage, deep down she fears this might very well be the true Unkyo seeping through and revealing itself.
