The Trial & Execution of Akihiro Uchiha

In the very back of the Uchiha Clan District lay a small and discrete building. This building was rarely used and those not at the highest levels of clan governance were largely ignorant of its true purpose. From the outside, it just appeared to be a sparingly used schoolhouse. Internally, it was just as unremarkable with empty rooms, derelict tables and chairs strewn about, and barely functional chalkboards. However, its true purpose was not education, but punishment. The building's appearance was just a cover for its true function as a secret dungeon. The basement of the building was large and contained seating for a "jury" as well as a central penalty box where the prisoner and executioner were to stand.

The secret dungeon was kept for resolving matters that were too sensitive to handle in public. Clan leaders who had gone rogue or Uchiha guilty of particularly embarrassing crimes could be tried and executed without risking damage to the reputation of the clan. The dungeon-courtroom was so deep below the earth that nary a sound could escape from the structure. All Elders who were called to try their brethren in darkness maintained a vow of secrecy. When Nyguyen sent Satomi to capture Akihiro, he immediately began preparations for the trial. He had notified some of the Elders and told them to convene here. He had compiled all the information on Akihiro's crimes and handed them to each of them in dossier form. The dossiers contained the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Or at least Nyguyen's version of it.

Akihiro had attacked Moonsire without Nyguyen's permission and although he had done so with good intentions, he had acted without mercy. Nyguyen had also included the fact that Ikomiki had killed a young Senju named Shinsui during the Chuunin Exams. Akihiro then covered up the death and implanted the Senju's liver into Ikomiki. He even included the possibility that Mockingbird had ties to the Society through Menza and Ikomiki. Ordinarily, it would be difficult to convince the Elders to take action against their Clan Leader even if he was an insolent young brat. However, Nyguyen had explained the nature of the geopolitical situation to them. Kiri knew about all of this and after overthrowing Aki's compatriot, they were now ready to turn a new leaf. If Konoha did not deal with Akihiro, then they'd break the alliance and join up with Kumo. The two nations would then be strong enough to crush Konoha. They'd take Akihiro and all of the secrets that his eyes possessed. Worse yet, Kiri might leak the news about the Senju boy. Between Chikamatsu and this Shinsui, the Uchiha might face a united revolt against their rule. Civil war within and invasion without would mark the end of their family and all to protect a clan leader that was more absent than he was present?

"Preposterous"

The Hokage was not blameless in this but Nyg had conveniently left out the part where Akihiro had confessed to him. He couldn't put himself or his own kin in jeopardy. It would be Aki, his, and Sato's little secret. Nyguyen stood in the center of the dungeon-court and he looked towards the door where Satomi and the prisoners were to enter. He had set the ink materials on a table off to the side. The Kaifeng Mercenary should have been here by now and the mystery guard's lateness was irking him. The Elders were sitting in a spread out jury box that wrapped around the center floor. A symbolic arrangement to show that the oldest and wisest of the Uchiha would analyze the accused from every angle. They'd scrutinize their subject and strip the lies from the truth. When they were done, a verdict would be handed down and with it, punishment.

Nyguyen held his tanto in high right hand and did his best to appear impartial. His father was sitting in his wheelchair to his right. The old man was named Katahshi and he had always wanted his son to be a warrior. Instead, he got a mediocre bookworm. He had never failed to express his disappointment on this account but with Nyguyen's sudden rise to power he found himself smirking more than frowning nowadays.



"Finally getting some weight to those balls, hm boy?"
".....Nothing like this has ever been done in history before Father, please let's not do this here"
"Oh right, your still Mr. History Buff. You and your worthless books. Why can't you be more like Satomi? You think he got to being as strong as he did with his nose in some textbook?"

Nyguyen tried to ignore his father. Usually the man showed him more respect when there were other Uchiha around, but the events that had transpired put the elder in a bad mood. Nyguyen's papa didn't like Akihiro but he liked him a hell of a lot more than he did some nameless Senju, Damien Darhk, and a bunch of nobody civilians. Akihiro shared his last name and Katahshi being as old as he was cared more about that then he did the stability of the Hidden Leaf. Unfortunately, he was smart enough to know that what his son had told him was at least partially true. If the Uchiha tried to protect him then it might cost them everything. Swallowing this was easier than the alternative. It didn't make the old man any less pissed off and he decided he'd take it out on a familiar target.

"That's the problem with you eggheads...you, Aki, the lot of you. You think you know everything. 'nEvEr bEeN dOnE in hIstOrY bEfoRe' pah! You just never read about it. Plenty of things were done down in this dungeon. Things we shielded your generation from. Let's see if you have the stomach to carry on the tradition. How about it sonny boy? Do yo-"

Nyguyen didn't speak but he did turn from the door and look at his father. The Hokage's Sharingan was active and there was a look in his eye that had never been there in all the years that his father had raised him. Juniper had always had the killer instinct that Nyguyen lacked and he had often teased his son about it. But for the first time, Katahshi could see it. The sign was there plain as day. The thing that some might ignorantly call "the Curse of Hatred." Katahshi had more to say but that one look shut him up. He had known his son wasn't telling them everything. He could tell the moment Nyg had pitched the situation to them. Father's intuition and all that. When he was a Jounin, Nyguyen was just playing the part, but now that he was Kage he had been forced to do things that made him be the part. Katahshi held his tongue but couldn't resist grinning. He was finally getting the son that he had always wanted.

More smirking than frowning indeed.

Satomi would pull in with Sendo and the others. The captives would be right behind them restrained by Lady Arisu. Satomi's eyes were still bearing intimidation with the Mangekyou Sharingan high alert. He never anticipated it to be this easy to stop his cousin. He was not sure, there were many strange things going on. Conflicted, but dedicated. His loyalty to his village and clan was unmatched. In his time as Hokage and the Uchiha clan leader, he had proven that. He found that whole situation avoidable and tragic. This put him in bad mood.

The team would arrive at the back of Uchiha clan district. A building where the trial was to take place. There in front was Mack to receive them with another squad of ninja. He would instrumental in handling this. Satomi hoped that the Hokage would change his mind. However, such egregious crimes, he needed ammunition. Aki never confided in him in any of this, it was hard to protect him from this. It all made sense. Still armored, and still keeping a lookout, he would wait for Arisu to hand over the prisoner to them.

Arisu had dropped off Ikomiki into a holding cell for the time being. Without a leg for her, and hands clamped with special cuffs which restricted the ability to form hand seals, and given the loss of her Path, it was unlikely that she would be able to escape in the time it took for her to deliver Akihiro to the trial area.

Personally delivering Akihiro, still occasionally whacking him with a chain to make sure he was rattled enough that it'd keep him out for the time being until they could fuuin seal his abilities, she delivered him to Satomi as requested, dismissing the chains after he had the Clan Leader. Making eye contact with Nyguyen, she bowed.

Arisu was still well dressed in the exact same manner as she had been when she'd met with Nyguyen previously, which was also the same she had been dressed to capture Akihiro in the first place. Her Rinnegan active, the chains had been the only new thing that he hadn't seen before.

"I'll keep an eye on Ikomiki. I'd like to talk after the trial is finished." Arisu spoke, and then exited the chamber.

The doors to the dungeon-court finally opened and all of the elders stirred as though being caught doing something foul. Every eye drew towards the entrance as the Ghost marched in triumphantly with his captured quarry. More like Arisu's quarry.... Nyguyen saw that Arisu was holding the Uchiha in a set of ethereal chains. The thump of his head against the ground at regular intervals would have made him wince a few years ago. But nowadays the task of ordering his subordinates to inflict pain on others had numbed him considerably. He watched coolly as the bloody and unconscious Akihiro was brought before the Court of Uchiha.

Akihiro was brought to the center square and released at the Hokage's feet. Nyguyen was rather surprised that they had actually managed to capture the Sparrow. Perhaps Arisu, Satomi, and this Kitsuki were stronger than he gave them credit for. He knew Satomi was Aki's original sensei but it was widely believed among their Clan that the boy had surpassed his teacher. When one factored in the teleportation ability, it seemed unlikely that even Satomi could match him. And yet here he was bound and battered. Nyguyen returned the bow and looked in Arisu's Rinnegan eyes. There was an additional ring where there had not been one before. Ikomiki.... The girl had fallen to the plague when he last saw her and Akihiro was apparently tending to her. Maybe the man was so consumed with grief over his student that he could not mount an effective resistance. Nyguyen was glad that whatever confrontations had taken place had not led to a Bijuu brawl. When Uchiha were involved, emotions tended to run high and Aki's status as host to the Nibi would only made things worse. He'd need to ask Sato what happened but for now he was content that the capture had occurred with little to no disruption.

Nyguyen nodded when Arisu mentioned she'd keep an eye on the alien. He had given her dominion over her extraterrestrial relative, although he was now beginning to reconsider the situation. He had been more angry than rational in their last meeting when he promised the cat-girl to Arisu. Nyguyen offered a lone "Thank you" as she walked out. The Elders were stunned and were chatting amongst themselves regarding this powerful kunoichi and her connection to Konoha.

The moment Arisu left, the back entrance would open up. An elderly, cantankerous, and ornery old man would kick the doors off its hinges and announce his presence in the most obnoxious manner possible.

"Bingo sucka!" he shouted. The Elders whirled around to see who it was that had the audacity (and secret knowledge) to enter through the escape tunnel. It was normally reserved for the Elders in the case of emergency an interloper had defiled it with his bawdy entrance. When they recognized the Blind Black Beast, there were was significant uproar. The chamber became chaotic as the elders started shouting at the stranger. The gentleman without missing a beat, zipped forward and made use of the ink instruments that Nyguyen had bought. Before Akihiro had a chance to arise, heal, or take defensive measures, the black man would mark him with three seals in the following order: the first was the Sealing Technique: Five Elements Seal, Lion Closing Roar, and Redjacked.

He hummed a tune to himself as he diligently worked around the Sparrow's clothes and ensured that the fuuinjutsu bound him as necessary to prevent his retaliation. Nyguyen, who was standing next to the unconscious Akihiro, stared in disbelief as he considered the ramifications of what was happening. He knew exactly who this person was and why their presence caused such a rancor among the Elders. Standing before him was the legendary Uchiha, Vivian McCalman, infamously known as Lord Mack.


Sir Vivian McCalman was the spawn of a Kereko Clan dojomaster and a lovely Uchiha woman. It is quite poetic that the passionate love between two individuals from very different worlds produced someone so filled with hatred. Vivian, then born as Katahshi Kereko, had inherited the glory of both clans. The Kereko Clan's motto is Strength through Rage and it is a known fact that the Uchiha Clan derive their power from experiencing intense emotions. The science of genetic recombination had thus gifted him with a self-reinforcing battery of power. He was a perpetual motion machine with a brain capable of advancing through the studies of Ninjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, and Taijutsu at a rate that few had seen before. Katahshi Kereko's disposition made him difficult to work with, but his skills could not be denied. As he proved his usefulness, his influence grew. Katahshi was eventually allowed to adopt the Uchiha surname and went on to become a Captain in the Uchiha precursor to the Konoha ANBU. He ran dozens of Black Ops Missions against the Hyuuga Clan and his unrelenting ruthless aggression earned him the moniker "the Black Beast."
He was considered a hero amongst the clan and he was even given a plot of land in the old Scarlet Kingdom lands and was bestowed the title of "Lord." A few Uchiha were even named after him.

Nyguyen's father for one of them.  

The Hokage's sire had even served as Mack's personal medic for a time and the two grew close. In another world, Mack could have been leader of the Uchiha Clan but unfortunately, the same infinite rage energy machine that powered him led to his downfall. The exact details of what had transpired were subject to vigorous debate by both historians and witnesses. The gist of the story was that whatever it was that made Katahshi so effective began to corrode his mind. He grew paranoid, violent, and increasingly unstable. One thing led to another, and he was accused of committing an unspeakable crime on or about the time of the village's founding. From here its all speculation, hearsay, bitter memories, broken hearts, and a trail of bloody tears. What is known is that Katahshi became blind, renounced his name (both given and sur), and was banished/exiled/chased/escaped from the Fire Country. Even more disturbing was that Nyg knew it was likely that this man must have been tried in these very halls. Little written record was produced on the event and those who knew either said nothing or weaved a tale so fantastic that you couldn't help but not believe it.

Regardless of the details, the now self-styled Vivian McCalman was no longer welcome in this country, village, nor clan district and yet here he was.

"What is the meaning of this?!"
"Seize that lech! We will have two executions today!"
"I want his head! That infernal bastard will make a fine mount!"

Most of the elders were shouting and gesticulating wildly. Mack, who had just finished sealing Aki and roundhouse kicking him back at Nyg's feet, only grinned manically. The only elder that was calm was Nyguyen's own father. The man named after Katahshi folded his hands and said nothing. He never spoke about his relationship with the shinobi he had been named after, but he had long suspected that there was a side to the senile fool's story that few knew. Maybe if more Uchiha knew that story, they'd understand him and not just despise him. Nyguyen snorted. Today was not the time to tell that story though.

"Enough! There will be order" Nyguyen voice wasn't loud but echoed in the room. Its cadence was that of a man who was not to be tested or tried. The elders settled down.

"What are you doing here Mack? I requested a professional mercenary from the Kaifeng Clan's Network. Not som-"
"Shut the fuck up ninjuh! You wanted help and now you got it mothafucka. You don't think I got my own contacts? A birdie told me 'bout this job and I couldn't but get all in this shit. I pulled a couple a strings and got them to put me up. The shit's anon so of course you wouldn't know it was me until it was tooo late. Shiieeeeeeeeeeet. You really thought I was gonna miss this? Killing a Clan Leader? Fucking rich!"

Mack dramatically pointed at the elders.

"So much for loyalty and blood huh? Hypocritical bitches!" he spat as the words dripped through his buckteeth. "Good for ya'll I ain't here to kill you ungrateful assholes" There were likely some sitting in the court-dungeon that had indeed presided over Mack's own "trial." "I'mma just park it and do my job, sit in this here corner, and enjoy the motherfucking show!!" the foul-mouthed octogenarian stepped away from the square and off to the side. He was close enough to block interference but not close enough to crowd the Hokage.

Nyguyen remained silent throughout the tirade and when the elders started up again, he raised his hand. Nyguyen made eye contact with his father who gave him a neutral stare. It would be a simple matter to seize Mack and execute him. It might even score him points with those elders that were more reluctant to pass judgment on Akihiro. However, now was not the time or place to risk a fight with a legendary black ops specialist. If Mack was here then he was confident in his abilities. Blind or no, he was a threat. Subconsciously, Nyguyen also yearned for his father's approval and he could tell that his dad wasn't keen on arresting the man who had been his mentor. Even though he was disgraced, he had done more for the Uchiha Clan than many others.

"Consider this your last pass through these lands" Nyguyen didn't need to elaborate. He looked at Satomi and the Ghost would probably understand. Mack was not to be troubled but if he overstayed his welcome or returned again without the village's permission, he'd be hunted down and killed. Mack only barked out a laugh and shook his head. He didn't move a muscle though. As mad as he was, he wasn't about to further push his luck in a dungeon filed with angsty Uchiha. Besides, he was here to enjoy the show.

Nyguyen grabbed Akihiro by his hair and put him on his knees. The kid's head dropped low and Nyguyen placed his tanto on his neck. Ordinarily, he'd be given a chance to defend himself but keeping one of the strongest ninja awake was a mistake that he couldn't afford to make. They thus needed to get creative with finding the truth. Nyguyen turned to the elders and began the proceedings:

"I, Nyguyen Uchiha, son of Katahshi Uchiha and Nanadaime Hokage of Konohahgakure hereby accuse our Clan Leader Akihiro Uchiha of centralizing power within the Office of Strategic Affairs through the use of a subversive fifth column intelligence organization at the expense of this village and our most noble household. He has betrayed us by taking unauthorized and unlawful action against Kumogakure. He is responsible for bombing a town full of civilians as part of an unsanctioned operation performed without my blessing. It is because of him that Konoha now finds itself embroiled in a war of proportions hitherto undreamt of. He has also betrayed us by covering up Ikomiki Ōtsutsuki's murder of Shinsui Senju, implanting Shinsui's organs into Ikomiki, and thereby jeopardizing the hard-earned peace we share with the Hyuuga and Senju Clans."

Nyguyen paused for dramatic effect before turning to his brother-in-law.

"We cannot conduct a traditional inquiry due to the level of danger that Akihiro proposes. Satomi Uchiha as Akihiro's sensei and one of the most honorable and well-respected Uchiha among us, I ask you to conduct an independent and impartial investigation of these accusations."

Nyguyen turned Akihiro's head to face Satomi and stretched open his eyes with one hand, the other held the tanto. It was time to take stock.

Satomi had completed his mission. Arisu had restrained the two ninja, Akihiro being chief among them. The crimes against him were staggering, though they meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. The idea was to not get caught, somehow they had figured out his involvement in nefarious affairs. Though they commit these crimes, they protected the very people who enforces them. The circle of life they had feigned to protect. Sato shook his head as he grabbed Akihiro, removing all his weapons and all items from his person. Nyg had arrived, Sato gave him a look and nodded. This was somber moment for him, he had nothing to say.

Grabbing the items from Akihiro. Satomi's right eye flashed, opening the Kamui Dimension, and pulling him immediately through it. He landed on a large white square floating on a bed of nothingness. Ikomiki 's leg lay on a block not to far from him. The large white block was at least 500 meters. The largest one in the area he had found. Laying the weapons down but keeping the items on himself. He would need them later.

He jumped backwards just as fast as he left by activating his right eye again. This brought him back in the blink of an eye. A few moments later, Lord Mack would come out. He served his purpose though with an unwanted entrance. His sealing would subdue the beast and teleporting abilities of Akihiro. Sendo said nothing as well, quiet in the face of the Captain. Nyg said something about the man when he left, but Satomi had more pressing matters than this man. There was a beast time ten times more deadly than all of them. He would have to face it soon. That seemed to be pressing his mind more. He had to improve the power of his Mangekyou Sharingan. Already feeling the pain after one use of each eye already. It was nothing compared to taming a bijuu.

They took Akihiro for his trial. Seating themselves, the proceedings continued, with Satomi standing nearby Akihiro less he awoken. That was when Nyg himself asked for him to step forward. "Let my cousin reveal his doing." Was all Satomi would say before stepping forward. His brother in law opened Akihiro's eyes, Satomi cast Genjutsu: Sharingan when he locked on them. Using it to compel Akihiro to admit his crimes in front of the hearing. Akihiro would speak of his involvement and mastering of the events of Moonspire, and his cover up of the Senju Shinsui. Satomi shook his head at this revelation, the most troubling one.

Sharingan activated, Kimiko appeared slightly behind and next to Akihiro, next to Nyguyen. From her position, all she could see was a tanto held at Akihiro's neck and an arm.

Wearing only a pair of shorts, an oversized tank top, a zip up hoodie, and a pair of combat boots, the girl wasn't combat ready like she usually would be, but she hadn't been expecting having to track down Akihiro, so there hadn't been a reason to grab any of her gear. This meant that when the short Uchiha appeared, she was already in a cagey situation, knowing something had gone down and was prepared for combat, but she couldn't have been prepared to think that Akihiro was in danger from the Uchiha clan.

When she'd appeared, given her lack of weaponry, she held a hand towards Nyguyen, a flame built up in her hand, extending as a white hot flame, growing towards Nyguyen's torso but stopping just short. She regulated the flame for the moment, but she wouldn't hesitate to plunge it forward if she needed to.

"Drop that tanto or lose your life. Back off my fiance."

Her Sharingan were trained on his arm, the movement prediction easily able to tell whether or not he was about to cut Akihiro's neck or release the blade. She'd place another hand on Akihiro's back, letting her peripherals see the other threats and buildups of chakra. Satomi had something charging in his left eye, and there were others around which could be threats, but she could FTG out before they could stop her if they tried anything stupid.

"What the fuck is going on here?"

Kimiko's usual tone was more jovial and joking, light hearted and care free. However, there was something darker about her tone, the low, cold voice. Her Sharingan were unique. The tomoe seemed to bleed the black into her eyes, covering the whites of her eyes in the same black they were, giving her Sharingan an almost fractured look about them.

Nyguyen allowed Satomi to loot Akihiro before the proceedings began. He was an accused traitor and no longer had any right to possess them. Nyguyen noticed that his brother-in-law was using some kind of strange teleportation technique. The man's Sharingan was also warped, just like Akihiro's had been when he had first confessed his crime to Nyguyen. The Hokage wondered was sort of secret abilities their dojutsu held but he did not have the opportunity to ponder the thought. When the traitor's personal effects had been squared away. Satomi began his investigation.  

"Let my cousin reveal his doing."

Nyguyen braced himself for the revelation when suddenly a person entered his line of sight. The appearance was so sudden that even with the Sharingan, he felt himself momentarily confused. Fortunately, Kimiko too had not expected to arrive where she did. She was not ready for combat and that would prove her (or rather Akihiro's fatal mistake). The kunoichi would move to hold up her hand towards Nyguyen and the Hokage's Eye of Insight would predict what was to come next. Before the flaming sword could be summoned and fully extended, Nyguyen activated his Gates. While simultaneously swallowing the Hero Water sealed in his throat.  The sudden pressure and heat of the Third Gate would buy him just a few more moments of time. In the heat of the moment, Nyguyen made a split second decision.

At this range, he could comply and risk Akihiro's escape or he could defy her and risk his own life. Technically they had not finished the investigation stage of the proceedings, but everyone in the chamber knew that it was a mere formality. The evidence had already been gathered and the verdict decided. Their only choice know was between Akihiro's death and Akihiro's revenge. Nyg would gladly sacrifice himself if it meant sparing his Clan and village from the Sparrow's retaliation. He was still clutching Akihiro's head and all that was required was for him to jerk down rapidly and snap the boy's neck. Akihiro's head was bent backwards at an unnatural angle essentially compressing his spine in on itself and severing the cord entirely.

If successful, the boy's death would be instant and painless.

While he performed this action, he kicked out with his left leg. The force of the attack would send Akihiro's corpse flying towards Satomi (without threatening him or blocking his line of sight) and away from Kimiko before she could lay a finger on him. He wasn't sure what secrets the lad's body held but he could not allow it to fall into enemy hands. Finally, Nyguyen pushed off with his right leg. He had bent his kneels slightly as opposed to kneeling and so he was already in a position to spring from his location. Nyguyen crashed into the side of the wraparound jury box. Fortunately, the power of the Gates healed even the most serious wounds and so he found himself still conscious and ready to fight.

Because he acted without even considering who had appeared and given that his actions would likely interrupt her query, Nyguyen was still in the dark about who had shown up to rescue the Sparrow. Presumably it was one of his Mockingbird lackeys, but as his Sharingan caught sight of a familiar face, his eyes widened.

Godammit....Dammit to hell....

Mack, meanwhile, had no compunction about fighting Akihiro's bride-to-be. He rushed forwards the second that Kimiko appeared moving towards her in a zig-zag fashion. He aimed for her blind spot, directly behind her. Mack would then unleash a powerful combination of punches to her body followed by an upkick designed to launch her into the ceiling.

Everything seemed to be going according to plan. But as always, Satomi had been alert for any interruptions. And he was still a some meters away from the stand. He had anticipated Kimiko would make an appearance, but not in such a manner. Within an instant, there was a surge of chakra that appeared behind Akihiro and beside the Hokage. The Hero of Meijing, but also the lover of Akihiro. This sudden intrusion alarmed Nyg and he immediately dealt a fatal blow too Akihiro. The 8 Gates had been activated, and he was able to send the body of Akihiro towards Satomi. It all seemed to happen almost frame by frame in slow motion. Seeing the execution of his cousin, the further infighting within the village. Tears formed in his eyes, from pain, and from sorrow.

Though these tears ran red, pouring from his eyes. As he activated the top half of his Susanoo. Instantly, a large spectral avatar surrounded Satomi. Enveloping him into a large golden armor, with skin and bone, a samurai like helmet appearing on the head as well. A spectral armored arm, burning with a golden amber hue, grabbed Akihiro and held him with only his head showing. At the same time Satomi would let loose the Kamui from his left eye, looking directly in front of Aki's face. Opening the Kamui portal from his left eye. Another arm appeared ready to attack if needed.

Of course he should have suspected that he would teach her his ultimate technique. The Flying Thunder God Jutsu. Seeing the flair up of chakra, he had his suspicions. He hoped that Kimiko would not cause further disruption and fight the Hokage, holding off to see what she would do. Sendo stood at ready, however Lord Mack took off immediately to protect his charge. Satomi frowned. This was not what he wanted.

The Sharingan was an impressive doujutsu, able to easily distinguish someone's movements and chakra pathways being utilized. Very few things could actually impede upon the sharingan's ability to notice movements, even down to the muscle twitches, and Kimiko had nothing blocking her view of Nyguyen's arm, his body, or Akihiro in front of her. With the Flying Thunder God technique, she'd appeared only inches away from Akihiro, as her mark was directly on him.

Several things had to go Nyguyen's way in order for him to kill Akihiro before she was able to lay a finger on him. Unprepared for her arrival, and with little time to react, his knee jerk response would give her plenty of time to grab onto Akihiro. Unfortunately for Nyguyen, he wasn't prepared enough to simply kill him with his own strength, not when someone appeared so close out of nowhere.

She'd have preferred to talk things through and get information, but given she saw several things happening in her peripheral, a seal in Nyguyen's mouth, and chakra points throughout his body beginning to expand, something that took some time to actually happen, as well as his arm shifting to yank Akihiro's throat back, Kimiko's attempt to grab him happened sooner. Her own knee jerk reaction was to launch herself forward to make contact with the Clan Leader, seeing that someone was attempting to kill Akihiro. When there wasn't imminent actions against him, she was much more willing to take care of things then and there, but with his life threatened immediately, she wasn't afforded the opportunity to do that.

Abandoning her attempt to speak, or bring out the flame sword for the simplest of actions: Touch Akihiro and teleport out. Given that Nyguyen also needed to yank Akihiro's head back in order to snap his neck, as well as kick out to launch him away, and they had the same coordination speeds, his actions couldn't be completed before a simple touch was established. As she touched Akihiro, she teleported herself and Akihiro back to her house, leaving behind the rest of the Uchiha in the circle. However, Akihiro was unconscious and heavily sealed, with Kimiko's lack of seals out of Konoha also being a problem. She'd have to leave through normal means.

Kimiko had foregone her actions to threaten Nyguyen and instead opted to lunge directly for Akihiro. However, Nyg also had the mighty Sharingan and he was able to predict Kimiko's lunge before it happened. Nyguyen's tanto was already in the way as he had been holding it near Akihiro. Even though she was a few inches from her fiancé, Nyg's blade was even closer. Utilizing the Praying Mantis Wushu Style, he brought his tanto between her hands and Akihiro's body. The speed of his swordplay would allow him to cut off her fingers and hand from the wrist if she attempted to continue reaching towards him. Nyg didn't want to maim her, but if Kimiko insisted on touching his captive, he'd be given no choice. While he slashed with his tanto, he performed two other actions simultaneously. He swallowed the Hero Water as previously planned and he snapped Akihiro's neck. Finally, he'd kick him towards Satomi as stated in the prior post. The kick was aimed squarely at Akihiro's head ensuring that if the jerking did not finish him off then the blow would take him out of this world (pause).

The only difference in strategy was that his actions were executed earlier because he only opted to swallow the hero water and then act. Once this was done, he opened the rest of the gates. A burst of chakra filtered through his body. He now had the capacity to deal with his enemy unencumbered. The second Nyguyen saw the identity of the rescuer, he'd shout out:

"Kimiko! STOP!"

He didn't have time for a lengthy explanation, but if he could get her to calm down for one second and listen to reason, then perhaps there need not be further bloodshed on this day. He knew the chances of convincing Kimiko were slim to none but he was willing to try. They were kin and she didn't deserve Aki's death. The Elders were shouting and moving towards the exit although a few stayed to watch the action. Nyguyen's father leaned forward in his wheelchair. He saw how fast his son moved and how determined he was to mete out justice. It filled his heart with pride. Or was it something other than emotion? The uncertainty of the moment and the concern for his only boy was physically taxing. He took deep breaths to calm himself down but to no avail. The old man's eyes widened as he realized what was about to happen. Years of medical training had prepared him for this moment and when it finally came, he found himself paralyzed with fear.

Unconcerned with the fleeing and cursing Elders, Mack sprang into action. He attacked Kimiko from behind as previously described. He started moving the moment she teleported into the area. He was only five meters away so it wouldn't take him long to get there.

The Hokage still acted accordingly too the intruder that instantly appeared in the chamber. Everything happened so fast, but to the Uchiha, everything was slowed down. Nyguyen continued his own actions, still managing to land those fatal blows to Aki. And also to thwart the sudden invasion on the chamber. Satomi continued his actions as Nyg had sent Aki flying towards him unperturbed. The Mangkeyo Sharingan in both eyes flared and his eyes ran wild with tears.

Though these tears ran red, pouring from his eyes. As he activated the top half of his Susanoo. Instantly, a large spectral avatar surrounded Satomi. The Ghost of Konoha noticed that Mack had immediately moved towards the intruder, he was sure they would notice it was Kimiko. Though her appearance meant she needed to be stopped. There were to many people within the chamber. They begun to file out as the fighting began, and Satomi's golden Susanoo towered above everyone. Stopping well short of the ceiling of the building. Sendo still remained to while keeping his distance but readying a set of handsigns.

Kimiko's hand faltered, the tanto shifting away from Akihiro's neck, something she'd wanted. It slowed her slightly as she hesitated, until she saw that the other arm was getting ready to snap his neck. However, her hesitation had cost her any surprise she'd gained, saving her fingers as well but unable to save Akihiro.

Her mind and body went numb as she saw Akihiro's neck snap. Her perspective shifted as a massive force collided with her from behind, Mack attacking her from her blind spot, but none of that mattered to her. Akihiro was dead, launched towards Satomi. A ringing pierced through her ears as all sound bleached out of the world, leaving her shell shocked and numb.

She became aware that someone was shouting, someone was crying, but it didn't register to her who it was. The dull sounds that pierced through her haze reverberated in her head, as if the sound centered on her, but that couldn't be possible. She was unable to move or react. The world went black around her and Kimiko's field of vision left her.

The Uchiha woman's eyes shifted in that moment. The Tomoe spun again, creating a new pattern in her eyes, different than the 3 tomoe sharingan that she'd previously thought was the peak of her abilities. However, Kimiko's tears faltered, the cries that had come from her died out, and her face shifted into one of peace and analysis. The Uchiha woman had long held a secondary personality inside her, born during a previous trauma, one that took control of Kimiko when she was faced with a massive deal of stress, to allow her a greater chance of survival.

Sometimes Kimiko remained in control of herself, although influenced to some degree by this secondary persona, but in times like these, Kimiko retreated completely, and her other half came out to take over fully. This time was just such an occasion. Akihiro was dead, and Kimiko would join him shortly if she continued as she had been, which didn't bode well for her sense of survival.

Mack was her biggest threat at the moment, having directly attacked her. He was her primary focus, as Satomi and Nyguyen didn't want to harm her at all it appeared. Letting herself go limp and avoid any form of presenting danger, Kimiko's body seemingly did nothing as she turned to stare at Nyguyen.

"It seems that the elders were invited to attend this coup, but not the fiance of the Clan Leader. Did you expect to just brush his death under the rug? Or just let me find out in the future, when you could ambush me as well? Or was this just to steal the Clan Leader's eyes for your own uses? To take what does not belong to you to empower someone else?"

The malice and scorn was evident in her voice, although it came through colder and level. Both Kimiko's had had a great deal of respect for Akihiro, as he had accepted her completely. She wanted answers too, but was able to control her emotional response better than the softer Kimiko. The Sharingan would be able to tell at least somewhat how facial cues reacted to her prompts, to see the way the heart beat as a mini lie detector. And with her ability to FTG out at any time, she was less inclined to hold her tongue.

There was a satisfying crunch sound as Nyguyen wrenched Akihiro's head at an irregular angle. The spinal cord had snapped and with it the Sparrow's life. The twisted neck of the young lad who had once been among one of the strongest shinobi in Kishin was laid bear for all to see. Several Elders had not fled, Nyguyen's father among them, and they bore witness to Konoha's commitment to justice. The souls of those who had been snuffed out in the Moonspire attack could now rest easy knowing that their killer was no more. For Nyguyen it was a split second decision, but it was one that he knew would lay heavy on his spirit for the rest of his days. He had grown rather fond of the kid and his relationship with Kimiko. It seemed like yesterday that Nyguyen was trying to convince Akihiro to take the plunge and ask Kimi to be with him forever. He had encouraged Akihiro to lead a stable life and now he was executing him in front of his bride-to-be.

The Nyguyen of old would have cried out. He'd have trembled. Doubted himself. Doubted everything. He'd stutter as he tried to explain himself to Kimiko. The hesitation would have given her a window to rescue Akihiro and at that point everything the Hokage held dear would have been in jeopardy. That Nyguyen was no more. The trauma of Chika's execution coupled with the hard decisions he was faced to make every day had turned his heart to stone. All that mattered was protecting his Family, Clan, and Village. All else was a secondary means to an end...including his budding friendship with the leader of Mockingbird.

With Kimiko's rescue thwarted and Akihiro's corpse kicked towards Satomi, Nyguyen was now free to deal with the sudden threat. The second he recognized who the interloper was, he commanded her to cease her insolence and surprisingly, she obeyed. Although, not without the help of Mack. The Blind Black Beast struck her with the force of a freight train but before he could finish the four piece combo he had planned, Nyguyen held up a hand and roared:

"That's enough! Stand down Mack!"

He'd allow Kimiko to collapse onto to the ground in physical and psychological pain. The former Uchiha's punch was nothing to sneeze at but it was nothing compared to seeing the one you love brutally killed. Nyguyen knew how much Kimiko loved Aki. He remembered the Clan Meeting well. She had defended her lover's honor before the Clan and had no qualms about standing up to the elders to make her point. She was fully devoted to him and he couldn't imagine what she was feeling. Mack opened his mouth to make a glib remark but one look at the Hokage and he shut his mouth and took a few steps back.

The swirl of chakra around Nyg told him that now was not the time.

Nyguyen looked at Kimiko and saw that her Sharingan was disfigured. The bizarre character of the tomoe and pupil reminded him of what he had seen in Satomi and Akihiro's eyes. A new power? A hidden level of the Sharingan unlocked through trauma? Nyguyen could only guess but his suspicions was that this development meant Kimiko could be a dangerous enemy if he allowed her to leave this place alive and with an eternal grudge.

He could kill her right here and now. The Elders would not stop him. Akihiro was dead and could not protect her. It was him, Mack, and Satomi against her. She had her teleportation ability though and he knew of no way to counter it. If he made a move against her, she'd forever be a thorn in his side until one of them was killed. He needed to head off that possibility. Nyguyen listened and stared with an emotional-less glare as Kimiko accused him of unjust kinslaying. Her voice was different, it was more hateful than when she spoke against him in the Clan Meeting, yet it was also more controlled. He could reason with her. He had to.

The Hokage looked down at Kimiko and replied:

"This was not a coup. It was justice. Listen to me Kimiko, I may have had disagreements with Akihiro but he was my Clan Leader and my kin. What you just saw me do was not an act of greed, it was a necessity. Akihiro was behind the attack in Moonspire. He worked with Ikomiki Ōtsutsuki and Hana Kaguya to slaughter an entire town of innocent civilians. Why he did this doesn't matter....what matters is that the people he killed were not shinobi. They were workers. Every day citizens that have done harm to no one. He did all of this without my authorization and against the basic laws of warfare. Kirigakure found out about their role in the attack and the shinobi of Kiri rebelled against Hana. They killed her and took over the Kiri government. One of their ambassadors....the same one that was generous enough to ressurect Satomi....gave me an ultimatum. If we didn't arrest and punish Akihiro and Ikomiki then Kiri would turn their back on us and join Kumo in some warped crusade for justice. We simply cannot fight both of those nations alone, even with Kiri's help this war has proven difficult to win. If they turned on us then everything.... this Clan, this village, all that generations of Uchiha have died to protect....will be forfeit."

Nyguyen walked over to one of the jury boxes. He snatched one of the dossiers from the hands of one of the Elders and tossed it in front of Kimiko. It contained a summary of Arisu's report, Nyguyen's findings, and the relevant conclusions of law and fact. It was the comprehensive proof of Akihiro's crimes against Konoha and world peace.

"That's not all....I was also given credible information that Akihiro covered up the death of a Konoha genin during the Chuunin Exams which took place a few years ago. The genin's name was Shinsui but apparently he carried the Senju bloodline. Ikomiki murdered him during the Exams and Akihiro helped dispose of the evidence. Then he implanted Shinsui's DNA inside her to give her the their coveted abilities. All of the evidence is in that dossier....the sworn statements, the logs from Shinsui's entry and egress showing that the dates and times match up, Satomi can even vouch for the fact that Akihiro confessed to giving Ikomiki Senju abilities although he tried to play coy regarding the source. Whatever you think of the Senju Clan, you know that Konoha's strength relies on good relations with both the Hyuuga and the Senju. If Kiri were to leak that our Head Strategist was responsible for the death of one of their own and took his power and gave it to his student.....it would spark a civil war. Its bad enough the Uchiha are in control of the village but to be in control and corrupt? It would be an unforgivable offense. Civil war within the village and invasion from without."

Nyguyen walked towards Kimiko, unafraid but alert of what she might do.

"I had no choice Kimiko. He had to die....and it was better that he die at my hand than that of a foreigner. He deserved that much. We were going to do it here with a few of the Elders as witnesses so as to spare him and this Clan the public embarrassment. The matter would have been dealt with quietly and in time the facts would come to light. We couldn't involve you because I knew you'd fight this at every turn.....I know this because if it were me, my wife would risk everything to save me and I know you have that same love for him. Informing you was never an option."

Nyguyen offered no apologies or even condolences, just cold hard facts.

"I don't want to believe that he involved you with these schemes. In fact, I have reason to believe the opposite. You were innocent in all of this. He never told you what he was really up to and I have a feeling I know why. He seemed awfully close with this Ikomiki girl. He rarely left her bed side when she was sick with plague and he was willing to go to extreme lengths to assist her. I pray to Kami his intentions were pure but...."

Nyguyen stopped short of accusing Akihiro of cheating. He would not lie to Kimiko. She'd know if he was making things up, but implying and insinuating was another matter entirely. It was possible Akihiro felt a bond to Ikomiki that went beyond the typical student-sensei relationship. Perhaps it was like a father to a daughter, perhaps it was something else. He'd let Kimiko's imagination run wild on that point without taking a firm position.

"Regardless, he acted with only her as an accomplice. His crime, his punishment. You don't need to be a part of that. As for his eyes, I leave that to the person I think is in the best position to succeed him as leader of this Clan."

Nyguyen didn't take his eyes off Kimiko but he stepped to the side so that she had a clear view of Satomi. He was likely to take up the mantle given the fact that he had held the position prior to Akihiro.

"What happens to Akihiro's eyes and the rest of his property is Satomi's call. I will not interfere nor will I allow anyone else."

Nyguyen got closer to Kimiko. He was now standing right over her. He knelt down so that she could look directly into his eyes. The tanto was still held in his hand and Mack was directly behind her ready to move at a moment's notice.

"The only question is...will you face facts and mourn him for the man that he was? Or will you die with him here? Will you leave here and dedicate yourself to protecting this Clan or will you plot against it in secret? Do you want to go to jail or do you want to go home Kimiko Uchiha?"

The powerful pull of Kamui resonated around Sparrows face, a small portal tore an opening around his head. Transporting the head off of the body into the Kamui Dimension. Then the small portal disappeared as quick as it came. Tears of blood poured out of Satomi's face. Overwhelming sadness hidden within those eyes, he too loved Akihiro. He ignored the ugly truth, but its head came rearing up sooner or later. The large spectral hand began to lower, setting the headless body back down on the ground.

The chakras golden hue began to fade as Satomi extinguished the Susanoo. He could not of course allow anyone to get their hands on his cousins Mangkeyo Sharingan. To which at that moment, Kimiko seemed to unlock her Mangekyo Sharingan. A tremendous tragedy befalling her eyes. He understood her anger, this would trigger anyone, especially a Uchiha.

However, there was an order to life here in the village. As great as the Uchiha were, they were not above the laws of the village they helped build. To endanger the village was to also endanger the clan as well, there was no avoiding that. Kimiko hopefully did not know of Akihiros intentions beforehand. He would hate for more of his family to be involved in something so ugly. Nyg's voice rang out, ordering her to stop. He began to explain to her exactly what happened. From his part in the Moonspire attack, and the cruel business with Shinsui Senju. Then Nyg stepped aside and allowed Satomi to step forward a meter or so. Then he spoke to the chambers.

"I will assume the position of Clan Head once again. Tragic as it might be, it is all true. There will be a need to restore our honor, for the clan and the village. We have too try." Lord Ozai's blood stained eyes fell upon Kimiko with that last statement. She was shocked to the core, he did not want further harm to come to his family. One was enough. Though he understood, Satomi would not hesitate to strike if needed. Her response towards Nyg's question would dictate that. He also did not feel like making a decision on the Akihiro's eyes. Which not a lot of people knew about anyways. But he knew what he must do. For now, he had more pressing matters.

She wanted to disbelieve. It would be so easy to continue on as if Nyguyen was lying to her. As if Akihiro hadn't done these things. Yet she could see the truth of it. The microexpressions that would give away a lie weren't there. Kimiko was a very perceptive and very intelligent girl, even without the Sharingan. Adding it in just further confirmed for her the truth of the matter.

Even despite all that, despite the evident truth, she wanted to believe he was lying. That the evidence was wrong. That something else had to be the answer. Not because she cared about the people that had died. Simply because if it was, then she could bring him back. She could hurt them for their actions.

But it wasn't the case.

Akihiro was an intelligent person, one of the most intelligent people who had ever lived. He'd been a prodigal talent, even among the Uchiha, and unlocked many secrets that were unknown to the wider world. He'd become the clan leader at a young age, unlocked the secrets of the Sharingan, become a Jinchuuriki, and learned the Flying Thunder God technique as well. His network of influence had spanned nations. His power was almost unparalleled, and even if he wasn't able to take down a challenge head on, he could escape any situation.

The problem was that he became so assured of his own intelligence, so assured by his own power, that he stopped viewing any of his actions as wrong. Stopped holding himself accountable, stopped worrying about the consequences of his actions ever being able to catch up to him, because with all his power and influence, with Mockingbird, with Kimiko by his side, who could ever threaten him?

Of course, he was still only human, and they were all fallible.

"How could you be so foolish?"

The tone was cold, but soft, directed at the now headless body of Akihiro. If he'd approached her before, stopped trying to protect her, kept her in the loop and stopped trying to do everything on his own, perhaps it would have been different. But she couldn't blame him. He'd met and fallen in love with the happy-go-lucky, adventurous, free spirited Kimiko. Of course he wanted to protect her. It was the entire reason that the Colder Kimiko existed as well. She'd been unable to process something before, and dealt with it by subconsciously shutting off, giving control to the basest of instincts to keep herself alive. Over time, the Sharingan's trauma activations had awoken the personality more and more, giving her greater agency, but ultimately she existed because part of Kimiko was still weak.

The Kimiko that Akihiro knew and loved primarily wouldn't have been able to deal with the deaths of so many civilians like that. The Kimiko in control now would have done so in a heartbeat. She understood why Akihiro did what he did.

Sighing to herself, Kimiko shook her head, rising back up to stand with some sort of dignity, although her posture remained loose, as she wasn't in the position to fight even if she wanted to.

"I'm loyal to my clan. I would never plot against it. But I will not serve the man who killed my fiance. Nor will I serve a clan leader who removed his head, who'd steal his things and who'd steal him. I do not recognize your authority to place Satomi in charge of the clan. That's an internal clan affair, not one of the Hokage's authority, Uchiha or not."

She stared up at Nyguyen's eyes again, cold defiance burning in her eyes. She'd been analyzing the room the entire time, and if there was a moment that anyone would try and kill her, it would be now. They could take control of the narrative with her death, molding it to whatever they wanted to say. Of course, they'd have to get past her eyes and analytical mind, wounding her enough before she could retreat.

Part of her was posturing, presenting a strong front even in the face of the Hokage, the face of a former Uchiha Clan Leader and former Hokage, and the face of a legendary exile as well. Part of it was anger fueled, having just lost the most important person in her life, both personally and as a member of the Uchiha clan and a Jounin of Konoha. Part of her meant it, that she wouldn't serve Satomi or Nyguyen. But the loyalty to her clan was the truth. It was impossible to know how she'd react in time. It was obvious that she understood why it had to have been done, and that alone made it impossible to know whether she'd forgive them in time or not. Even she didn't know.

Nyguyen heard a sickening squelch sound as Akihiro's head was ripped of his shoulders and teleported to another location. He glanced at his brother-in-law unsure of what to make of this unclassified ability. The former Clan Leader's body was now just a headless corpse gushing blood. The crimson spilled out onto the marble floor and swept across the executioner's square. Nyguyen's attention returned to Kimiko who was still processing what he had told her. He stood up straight and backed off. He wanted to give her room to collect her thoughts and come to a decision.

When she criticized Akihiro's dead body, Nyguyen knew that she believed him. He was telling the truth and given what he had seen of Kimiko in the past, she had a keen talent for using her Sharingan to cut through the horse manure. He wanted her to use that talent to serve Konoha but after today that was not likely to happen. As if reading his thoughts, she confirmed as much by saying she would not serve under him. Even if his actions were justifiable, the way he had gone about them would forever create a rift between them. Furthermore, she appeared to deny Satomi's right to claim the position of clan leader.

When she said the Hokage had no business determining who the clan leader of the Uchiha should be, there was a murmur of assent among the remaining elders. She was right. Nyguyen was out of his jurisdiction here. He was a prominent Uchiha and as powerful one at that, but he could not unilaterally king-make among them. As if accepting her point, he nodded and replied:

"I understand...."

He felt an apology forming on the tip of his tongue and immediately spat it out. No apologies! Apologizing was a sign of weakness he had learned. No effective Kage had ever apologized for their actions. Their decisions were their own and they had no choice but to stand by them. However, this still left an open question on how to handle Kimiko's open insubordination and defiance. He could not let her get off scot-free but if he tried to leash her to the village, it would only build resentment and she would betray him. It was not a question of if, but when. Perhaps the most prudent thing to do would be to let her forge her own path outside of his control. It'd give her the time and space needed to come to terms with Akihiro's death.

"As Hokage I would be willing to release you from service. An honorable discharge. If you need time away from this village and the command of the Office of the Hokage I will grant you that. All I ask is that you do not work against this village's interests, divulge her secrets, or otherwise collaborate with our enemies. There will be some paperwork but once that's filed you are free to go and find your own way. Although all I ask as your kin is that when this clan needs your help....you come running. That shouldn't be a problem for you given your abilities"

Nyguyen was of course alluding to her teleportation ability. It was part of the reason why he was giving her freedom from Konoha. If he didn't give it, she'd take it anyways and perhaps worse if he alienated her. Akihiro had demonstrated the folly of making an enemy of a Flying Thunder God user. At the risk of looking weak, he decided to also give in on her point regarding Satomi:  

"As for the question of the Uchiha Clan Leader....you are right. As Hokage that is not my place to decide. It is for the conscious of this clan to determine. That's between you and Satomi...I have no interest in the position." He remained where he was and focused on Kimiko. Mack was still standing directly behind her and he had not yet given the man the signal to leave. "That said, this isn't the time nor the place. There should be a full meeting on the subject, we won't make this decision here." Nyguyen was focused on making sure he presented a united front with his brother-in-law. He already looked weak by giving Kimiko a free pass at leaving Konoha, he could not abandon Satomi right as he had made his claim.

Satomi listened too Kimiko first, she was beside herself with fury. And of course he should not expect her to be any different. He shifted slightly as she appealed the Hokage's decision. Good. If someone else was willing to stand up he was all for it. Showing her this was no powerplay, but troubles against the village. "She's right. However we can deal with that later. This is also a village issue, and now its a mess. If Kimiko wants to run, the council can decide when its safe to reconvene." Satomi said gesturing at how their quick skirmish had caused quite a raucous.

"If you want the responsibility of leading the clan. Then I can also get behind that." Satomi signaled for Sendo and the rest of the Uchiha security to take control of the area. Then within a blink of an eye. He activated his right eye, transporting himself into the Kamui Dimension. The black void was empty save for the unending amount of square platforms in the distance. He appeared over the equipment and the head of his cousin. Standing on top of his most frequented block.

The image would undoubtedly plague him for years to come. Akihiro had changed since he had died, maybe it was his death that gave him some spark. He kneeled down, plucking both eyes from the head. He then wrapped them up in some bandage wrappings putting them safely in his pouch. Cleaning the blood off of himself as well, he detested this part. He would do a proper prayer at his funeral. His right eye flashed again and he appeared where he stood before.

Satomi began to make his way towards the exit. Sendo following behind him as well.

Nyguyen nodded in agreement with Satomi's words and judging from Kimiko's lack of response, he assumed he agreed or was too emotionally compromised to argue. Satomi didn't appear eager to keep the position but Nyg suspected he knew why Juniper's boo had claimed it in the first place. This suspicion was largely confirmed when Satomi teleported away and then teleported back. Nyg glanced at Kimiko. Was she intended on challenging him for the position? If so, she might be risking her life. Nyguyen was more merciful than his sister's husband and if Kimiko pushed him, he might send her to where Akihiro was.

Nyguyen was about to say more when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. It was his father's labored breathing. The elderly man had managed to treat his impending heart attack with Ijutsu. The faint green glow of his chakra emanated from his hand and was applied to his chest. Nyguyen's Sharingan told him the full story though. Katahshi Uchiha was dying and if he didn't get help soon, he'd die in a court dungeon. He yelled at the elders for just standing there gawking and not helping his old man.

"What are you fools doing standing there? Help him!" he shouted. The other men snapped out of watching the drama. They immediately surrounded Katahshi and worked to help him out of the wheelchair. The old man cursed and complained about them fussing over him but he fell silent when his son appeared near him in a flash. The gates had enhanced his speed and would allow him to get his dad to help in record time. Nyguyen then picked up his father and turned to Kimiko and Satomi.

"As Satomi stated, now is not the time or the place to deliberate on the clan's succession. I'm going to take my father to the hospital which is nearby. I hereby recuse myself from any matters pertaining to the succession of Akihiro. Decide amongst yourselves but I'd still like to observe."

Nyguyen then turned to Mack who was grinning like an idiot this whole time. He was enjoying the show but had decided to shut up lest he unite the anguished Uchiha against him. They'd love nothing more than to take their anger and frustration out on a reviled and hated figure such as he.

"And you. Your work here is done. Get the hell out of my village and don't come back. If I see you in any of my lands again, you're dead. Exile was a gift...don't throw it away."

The shaded Uchiha raised his hands in mock surrender and cackled "Aight baby boy, your ball, your call" He turned and walked out the opposite way he came, through the general entrance. As he walked out of the secret building, he jammed his hands into his pockets and whistled a tune from an obscure rap song. He sauntered past Kimiko giving her a good look at the Kaifeng mercenary. He was dressed in typical old man clothes and his thick pair of black shades hid a disfigured Sharingan. As he walked out the tune grew louder and he began to mumble some of the lyrics to the song.

"And if that Mockingbird don't sing and his ring don't shine, I'mma break that birdie's neck!" he sang with glee. Mack would then walk of of the Uchiha Clan's life. Probably forever but who knows? You can never tell with his type.

The real Nyguyen left through the emergency exit whilst the clone was left behind to observe what was quickly becoming a challenge to Satomi's authority.

Exit

"Don't get too comfortable with Akihiro's body or possessions." Kimiko said as Satomi was about to make his leave. She was fully willing to take over the clan in her fiance's stead. She had just as legitimate a claim to it as Satomi did, given her status as a war hero, a powerful kunoichi, and unlocking the highest level of the Sharingan. Plus her engagement to the clan leader and position in the clan as it was, she easily stood a chance to become the next leader.

She watched as Katahshi's heart began to fail, and the vengeful part of her felt satisfaction rush through her. Instant retribution. If Nyguyen's father died right after Akihiro's death, it would serve the Hokage right for taking the person she loved the most away from her. For moving against the clan in the manner he did. However, the other part of her, the part that cared about the Uchiha felt a twang of guilt move through her. Of pity.

Her sharingan shifted back down to their 3 tomoe state, a wave of lethargy rushing through her body.

"I'll gladly be the leader. Whenever the council wants to hold a meeting for the next clan leader, then. And when it's me, you'll turn over everything you took."

Kimiko watched Satomi vanish into the Kamui dimension, before he returned, blood on his fingertips, partially cleaned off. Her brows furrowed at what was this latest insult. "Everything."

She watched him leave, fists clenched in anger and hatred, such that she hadn't expected to have ever directed to an Uchiha.

As Mack passed her, Kimiko's gaze switched to him, having someone to direct her anger on that she could absolutely kill. "When I'm in charge, my first order will be to hunt you down to gut you myself, traitor." With that final emphasis, Kimiko flashed out of the building, returning to the seal she had in her home. It wouldn't be an immediate meeting given how everything had gone, so she needed to focus on preparing herself for the trials to come.
