Who isn't a dog person?

The mission:

Day three. Tadara was starting to regret being enlisted now into the military as they seemed to expect things from him daily. Another mission slip had appeared under the door. Another D rank mission. It seemed Iwagakure was desperate for any and all income from their shinobi. Rebuilding the village and getting up to par seemed to be a goal. The two million alone they owed to Konoha seemed daunting. But if they all put in the work they would recover. The village was like a wounded animal and they were the body trying to repair itself. Speaking of animals his eye twitched as he opened the mission slip. They were to feed the Iwagakure hounds. It wasn't that he hated dogs. They were nice enough. However Tadara kept the company of bees. Bees had a lot of natural enemies trying to get to their nests and thus the honey within or just chasing them around for fun. Dogs being one of those natural enemies. No doubt they would smell the honey on him and come for him with hunger on the mind. He didn't intend to give them the chance to get close to him. He had been bitten before.

He recieved a mission. He knew it would be elementary but anything to add to his resume and mission count was something Hitotsu was all for doing. At any rate, he wanted to buy the best katana money could buy and so missions were the natural avenue to acccomplishing his goal. He had left his house with a wave to his mom, his father having already left to handle ninja orders, hurriedly moving through the city. He arrived on the scene before his designated partner, a variable within the mission that he had looked over and thus was not aware it would be Tadara.

Feeding dogs..easy. I love dogs!

He placed his hands on his knees and bent down, playing with the dogs and jumping back and forth as they chased him along the other side of the cage. They seemed quite ferocious-looking, with strong and masculine bodies--he knew what they were designed for. Nevertheless, they still retained some innocence as they bounced around happily in anticipation of the meal that was to be presented. It was like clock work and they knew what time it was. Soon Tadare arrived and Hito greeted him properly with a smile and 'hello' before they both got to work.

Still his usual mission partner was there again today when he arrived. This time the young man had gotten there first. Standing outside the kennel with the barking dogs already excited to see people. However they simply went nuts when Tadara arrived. They smelled the honey and thought a treat was coming. So Tadara would talk Hitotsu into being the one who actually put the dog food in the kennels and Tadara would do the back and forth work. Once it was agreed upon Tadara would work his butt off bringing full bowls of dog food and jugs of water to Hitotsu to put in the kennels. The dogs less of a threat to him in Tadara's mind. Still he became quickly exhausted and by the time they were done he was beat. His arms felt limp at his sides and sore but all the dogs would be fed at least. War hounds probably for the defense of Iwa. He would as usual bid Hitotsu good night before taking his exhausted boy back to his apartment. Taking a bath and almost falling asleep in it with a glass of wine and a couple of honey scented candles to rid his nose of the stench of dog fur.

He followed in line with Tadara's suggestion as to the distribution of work within the mission. Hito realized Tadara was a unique individual, so he didn't really give him a hard time on what he wanted to do versus what the younger genin would be doing. After all, it also didn't really matter to him. As his partner brought along the food as well as the water, Hitotsu would enter the kennel and begin distributing the bowls all around. The dogs amassed around him as he entered, jumping and begging for the food. Of course, when he sat the bowls down, they attacked the bowls hungrily--same with the water afterward.

It didn't take any time at all to accomplish this mission, and based on what he had to do versus what Tadara was doing, it was safe to assume he did not expend nearly as much energy as the older ninja. He would pet the dogs and love on them for a few minutes before exitting, nodding to Tadara as he made his departure. Hitotsu would linger for a little while longer in observation of the dogs before he would head off as well. He was covered in the stench of dog and needed to change clothes at any rate. He didn't want to come across a pretty girl and smell like a literal dirty dog.
