Fujikawa stood over the whole chicken before her, filleting knife in hand. With the careful cuts and incisions of a trained surgeon she got to work deboning the bird. Wings were removed, legs cut, breasts sliced, feathers plucked and meat was bagged up, ready to be stored away in the fridge.
All in all it had been a very good haul. Enough meat to make a week's worth of meals and most importantly, one hundred and thirty nine individual bones of varying size and shape. Fujikawa put those to one side, discarded the trimmings she could not use then shoved the usable meat into her freezer.
Clean up was an easy thing to do. The chemist washed her knife, hands, chopping board and work top with sufficiently hot water, soap included of course. With her chores all wrapped up she vacated her compact kitchen, sliding back downstairs to her chemist workshop to check on how her latest creation was doing.
(Gaining 139 chicken bones. Yes really.)
