Raijū
Raijū is not a god, but was the faithful companion of one of the ‘old-gods’ of the world. The divine beast companion of a god of thunder that knows not the prayer of men and women any longer and has since faded from the world in essence. Raijū however was not a being beholden to prayer and belief. He was not a being that required acknowledgement to exist. Raijū is the very essence of thunder and the soul of lightning. His very being is power on a scale that few have ever dreamt of. Raijū is a wolf of lightning and thunder, white of fur and yellow of eye. Energy crackles around him as if it’s manifested by his very presence. A charge can be felt in the air around him as simple ‘static’ energy and his presence causes the hairs of those around him to stand on end. Raijū is an intimidating creature and does not communicate via speech but as an animal does so via action. Usually, the divine beast minds his business, goes about on his way and doesn’t bother anyone. But Raijū was a companion to another once, and he feels the loneliness that comes from millenia of wandering alone. So the beast seeks a suitable companion as well. A man or woman powerful enough and attuned enough to the very lightning itself that Raijū can give it’s loyalty to. Someone he can proudly be the companion of once again.
Breakdown
Divine Beast Of Lightning: Raijū is a proud creature and as such takes a certain pride in a suitable companion being properly attuned to the element of Lightning. As such the presence of Raijū forcefully rejects any other element from the body and disallows the user to gain the capabilities of them via any means. Be it another restricted, or even an implant. The benefits of this is that Raijū gives the user an unprecedented amount of control over the element of lightning. This is demonstrated by a one rank reduction in chakra cost to five lightning lightning techniques This reduction is able to be stacked with other chakra cost reductions. This capability costs no experience upon the initial technique selection. It is simply a byproduct of the beasts partnership. The five jutsu are kept track of on the update page and can be swapped out for 1,000 experience one time each activity check.
Wrath of Lightning: This augmentation is to the user's lightning techniques in general and is simply another byproduct of Raijū's bond with the user. The lightning techniques the user uses can have a passive increase to the power of all raiton techniques by 1 rank. This boost cannot be stacked with additional lightning power boosts. This costs 500 experience to unlock.
Raijū’s Blessing: Raijū helps those who help themselves for the most part. He’s willing to provide some assistance in the forms of certain capabilities but for the most part he expects his companions to be capable themselves. The first example of this is in how his presence augments certain lightning techniques. Raijū effectively takes the specific technique and helps his companion understand that technique on such a fundamental level that it becomes as natural to utilize it as breathing. Starting with the technique ‘Lightning Release Chakra Mode’ Raijū will show the user how to utilize the technique in a more efficient manner, removing the weaknesses from the technique. This allows the user to choose to utilize Level 2 of the technique as if the weaknesses simply do not exist. This means the technique will no longer ‘spread’ when under either water or earth but will instead be completely internalized and still give the boost of the technique to the user. Furthermore, the limitations on technique usage is completely lifted and allows the user to utilize any technique, non-elemental or lightning freely without disrupting the technique. This costs 1,000 experience to unlock.
Aspect of Thunder: This augmentation is to the ‘Lightning Release Chakra Mode’ technique and works by enhancing the user’s capabilities further with the technique active. What this does is add 2 additional UQ to the 6 the technique already gives to the user. These additional tiers are split between strength and constitution. This causes Lightning Release Chakra Mode to have the following total stat increases. Str: 2 Tiers | Con: 2 Tiers | Speed: 2 Tiers | Coordination: 2 Tiers. All of which are UQ tiers. This costs 1,000 experience to unlock and requires Bound by Lightning. When utilizing Aspect of Thunder, no stat may boost to X tier at any time.
Lightning Guardian: Raijū is not only willing to increase the capabilities of the user while they utilize Lightning Release Chakra Mode. But also increase the capabilities of the technique itself. Once this aspect has been unlocked the defensive capability of Lightning Release Chakra Mode will raise to S++ and provide immunity to blunt force damage from all sources. This augment costs 1,000 experience to unlock and requires Bound by Lightning.
Spirit of The Natural World: Raijū being a being that has been around for an uncounted number of years has the capability to sense nature chakra. He cannot utilize it, but he can recognize it's presence and keep track of it. He's willing to bequeath this capability to the user so long as they have the sensory skill to make use of the capability. This does not grant the user access to nature chakra, but simply allows them to sense and follow it with sensory. This augment costs 250 experience to unlock and requires sensory.
Spirit of Lightning: The next augmentation of Raijū is in regard to the users capability with the technique known as ‘Black Lightning’. The first benefit is that Raijū can ‘imprint’ the seal of Black Lightning upon it’s companion’s very soul and give them the capability to utilize it even if the physical seal is completely removed. The seal does have to be on the user’s body already for the Divine Beast to do this however. In addition to this benefit, the ‘imprintation’ of the seal upon the soul of the user gives the cosmetic effect of making all of their lightning techniques have the appearance of black lightning. This means each and every one of the users lightning techniques will now be black in appearance. This costs 500 experience to unlock and requires that the Black Lightning Seal be on the user's body.
Unrelenting Energy: Raijū has a deep well of energy within him that he will allow his companion to utilize once they have proven themselves. The beast however is a picky being and has harsh limitations set upon their companion for how much of his reserves they can access. As a being of S++ rank stamina, Raijū has access to 450 chakra. The user starts with being able to access 100 for a single post upon initially unlocking this capability although they can increase the amount of posts they have access with to up to 5. Upon successfully completing the Trial of Lightning the user may access up to 200 and can unlock up to 10 posts of usage. Upon unlocking Bound by Lightning however the user may access all 450 of the beasts chakra with the ability to unlock up to 20 posts of usage. Raijū can recover 10% of it’s reserves each post but in exchange for doing so will temporarily suspend all abilities and augmentations it bequeathed to his companion until he is satisfied with his reserves. Initial unlock of this ability starts at 500 experience. Each post after that costs an additional 100. (Fully unlocking this for 20 posts costs 2,400 experience.)
Force of Nature: Raijū and his companion are an effective force of nature and nothing can keep them down for long. Raijū however understands that any new companion he takes will be mortal, and as such will need certain assistance at times. As such when the user is injured the Divine Beast can sacrifice 20% of his well of energy into his companion and over the course of one post heal all non-lethal wounds. The beast can however choose to sacrifice 50% of its reserves to close all wounds over the course of that same post. Such wounds can include destroyed organs, or holes in the chest. Once the Trial of Lightning is completed the companion can activate this capability at will.
Trial of Lightning: Of course Raijū will want to test his potential companion to see if they are worthy to command every aspect of his powers. When ready the user will simply go into a meditative trance and appear upon a battlefield within their mind. An incalculably large open plain with the beast sitting patiently, waiting. When the contender has made themselves ready the trial will begin and the user will have to fight the beast fully. Raijū will grow to a size of six meters tall for the fight and have stats befitting its power. The fight is fully death enabled as any who wish to challenge him for the right to fight alongside must be willing to die as well. Raijū however understands the idea of fighting in a pack and has a great respect for the notion. As such he will allow up to three companions to enter into the battle as well, at their own peril of course. They may remain for up to 7 posts each. The drawback to this is for each individual the contender brings, the experience required to ‘bond’ with Raijū is increased by 1,000. All augments and capabilities are suspended for the purposes of the fight. Although the base techniques those augments might increase the potential of are not.

He also possesses all lightning techniques (Except for restricteds and exclusives) and can perform them with no seals.
Fangs/Claws are quality of S++.
Bound by Lightning: This is the bond of Raijū with his chosen companion. At this stage the mind and spirit of the two beings are effectively one in the same as both have become attuned to the other on an instinctive level. This level removes all loyalty costs from techniques and augments. This costs a varying amount of experience based on the Trial of Lightning. Should the user have fought the beast one on one and come out victorious, they will unlock this augment after investing 3,000 experience into the various capabilities of the beast. For every other individual who came to the battle with the user that investment requirement will increase by 1,000. Even if there is no other capabilities or unlock to invest into at the time. The user will have to invest the necessary experience into this capability instead.
Manifestation: Raijū is capable of manifesting as a temporary partner for the user. Forming a temporary, fully corporeal body. While manifested Raijū has access to all of his stats and capabilities and comes out as a wolf of six feet from nose to tail. The wolf has stark white fur and yellow eyes. Raijū is able to manifest for up to ten posts. However while he is manifested the user can no longer access Raijū's chakra reserves. Raiju spends 20 chakra a post being manifest and as such has to manage it's time in the world and technique usage carefully or the user will be unable to access any of it's capabilities for a time as denoted by the 'Unrelenting Energy' augment. Should the manifested Raijū be killed the body will simply disperse but the user will be unable to access Raijū in any way, shape, or form for the rest of the topic. Unlocking this augment requires 1,000 experience and Bound by Lightning.
Loyalty
When first met Raijū will give it’s potential companion a certain level of trust. One must give to receive and the Divine Beast knows that in order for it’s companion to be willing to trust him he must be willing to demonstrate a level of trust as well. However Raijū is not a tool and will not be treated as one. Actions speak louder than words, so the more one relies on Raijū’s abilities before bonding with him the more and more willing to simply walk away he will be. This can be measured by Raijū’s ‘Loyalty’ level. The beast starts at 500 loyalty and that will decrease the more one utilizes his capabilities without obtaining the beasts bond. Should the Loyalty level reach 0 he will proceed to shatter the users mind in their sleep. This will drive them mad and will effectively (Kill) them with no chance of repairing the shattered remnants of their mind. The character will be unplayable and due to the nature of this form of ‘death’ will be unable to be resurrected. All rollover experience will still be available though.
