Chika had split off from the group once they had arrived almost immediately, his Byakugan activated as he made his way through the Industrial City. It had taken him several days to get it commisioned, but instead of wearing a headband, neckband or armband he had his Konoha symbol sewn into the shoulders of his clothing. Over the course of his training he had found the headband was getting in the way of his ability to release chakra from his forehead, and given metal could also glint off of the sun he'd rather not give away his position that way. No, he was going to take the role of a Ninja seriously, and avoid being seen if possible, while still being able to watch his group if need be.

With his eye active he'd make sure to keep his three teammates within range as best as he could, and already he was seeing something interesting. The Hokage (and his many, many clones) were about to engage with a Blast user and a...twin Bloodline user of Steel and Lava? While they were far enough away he couldn't telescope onto them, he could guess who the two users were: Yui and Masaru. On the other hand, Kimiko was starting to get close to...no. Nononono, what what that. Even without zooming in (not that he could seeing as that was almost if not nearly as far away as the first eventual fight) he could tell that chakra signature was going to be a pain, as if he was correct, he was seeing and sensing Yin-Yang chakra as well as several other affinities, which meant the Rinnegan was probably nearby if not on top of that strange chakra. But they were too far away he couldn't deal with that, as he could see one more major Chakra signature that wasn't Ari's, and rather close to her as well. Compared to his 200m distance from the two of them, Ari and the Mystery man wee a good 100m away from each other, and as he scoped in to get a better look, his eye finally gave him an idea on what his affinity was.

Pure lightning, enough so that it only stood out given how it was just a single element. At least the man was dressed well.

As Chika sat within the house he had taken temporary residence in to keep his presence hidden, his puppets & gear still attached to his Pack so he wouldn't expend any unneeded chakra quite yet, he'd make a mental map of the surrounding kilometer of urban jungle. Outside of those two what few people were there were already making their way out of the city

For now he'd stay hidden and observe, letting Ari make first contact and assist if needed as he wanted to see this person's capabilities first.

Upon their arrival into Meijing city, the industrial capital in the Commonwealth, Ari and Chika were put together in a team. Of course Ari had no objections to the decision either so she went along with it. Of course, Chika kept his distance while Ari basically served as the bait. She had no qualms about the plan either as she is more of a powerhouse than anything else. Their job was to aid in the evacuation of Meijing, and this meant protecting them from the destruction the opposing forces had. Whether or not they were successful would have a drastic result on either side.

Either way, Ari came garbed in her steel mail shirt that covers her black long sleeved shirt, and a pair of steel arm guards served to protect both torso and arms from the slashy bits. On her shoulders is a pair of leather spaulders, and protecting her abdomen is a leather fauld. Strapped around her hip is a belt that contains her tools, and strapped on her back is a bo staff. Wrapped around her right thigh is a white cloth that holds a navy blue holster which contains three kunai. Her groin and thighs were protected by a leather causse, and Ari wears a pair of steel shin guards. Of course she wears a pair of sandals that protects her feet from the weather, but she had taken off her headband and simply stashed it in her hip pouch.

Ari’s stormy grey eyes scanned her immediate area for any sign of movement, but the stone jungle limits the visual contact to a certain degree. Fortunately Ari wasn’t on ground level as she took to leaping from building to building. In her mind, Ari was to locate anyone who might have been left behind and escort them to safety. At the same time she was to locate a threat and either suppress them or detain them. With Chika backing her up, Ari was confident that whoever they came across would be met with the detained option. If they took an assailant prisoner, not only would they get information from the enemy, but it would also lead to other scenarios that were mainly involved with bait.

Post by Valen Minamoto Wed Sep 09, 2020 7:31 am

    War was a brutal thing

Tamwyn had thus far seen people looting, rioting, and killing each other over what was going on. The evacuation was well anyway and thankfully this area had been evacuated early. It was an administration section and most buildings were one or two stories. They were also luckily, already empty. This meant collateral loss of life could be avoided from here if the fighting got to this part of the city. Tamwyn was actually on his way to another part to help with the evacuation and knock out some more criminals and other such lowlifes who were trying to stir these riots up. He’d seen a few enemy shinobi around, from a distance, and he wasn’t excited about fighting them if they ran into each other in a crowded area. So it was with some satisfaction that he spotted the swarthy girl in full armour. She wasn’t one of Masaru’s shinobi so far as he could see. For they would all be wearing their headbands to be identified by allied forces. She was obviously a shinobi based on how she was leaping from rooftop to rooftop. So that meant she was either a member of the revolt, one of Konoha’s dogs coming to try to retake the freed Land of Earth.

The girl, who wore a steel mail shirt, steel arm guards, leather spaulders, a utility belt for tools and the like, a bo staff, kunai holsters, leather causse, with a pair of steel shin guards and of course, sandals. She had blonde hair and she was running directly away from him. Both of them were atop different one story buildings. They were surrounded by them although a few two story buildings peppered the area. She was fifty meters away from him, traveling northeast across the rooftops. He was standing perfectly, silently, still as he had just quietly gotten onto his rooftop. Apparently, just a few moments after she had passed. His hands would form a triangle at chest level immediately. Lightning would begin to coalesce within it as his attack charged and a brilliant, white beam of raiton chakra would fire out of his hands. The beam would be 100m wide and go for 300m in distance. He had the blast centered on her and fired it just as she jumped off a rooftop exactly 50m before him, her body now in the air.

The beam would travel toward a two story building 250m away from him at brutal speed and would have the power to obliterate stone, cause massive craters, and deal ludicrous damage to all but the hardiest. The girl would certainly be out of the fight if she were hit by the beam. Unbeknownst to Tamwyn however, was that there would be a single individual inside of the two story building his beam would fire at. A Hyuga boy by the name of Chikamatsu, who would have his back to a wall on the windowless, doorless, second story of the building. Each story on these buildings was the same height and since the boy was on the second floor. This would put him in the direct path of the beam too it centered on him as surely as it was centered on Ari. Tamwyn himself would have no idea of course. Although of course he’d check the building for anyone after the fact if the attack was successful. He’d need to check for potential casualties. No one would be within visual distance of Ari and himself, the way

    Post by Data_Sora Thu Sep 10, 2020 4:55 pm

While his back may have been turned to the wall, he hadn't let the strong chakra signature out of his sight, as it was the greatest threat at the moment. He was also grateful as hell that he was keeping track of the finely-dressed man as his only real indication of an attack was his ability to see chakra through his Dojutsu, and boy was it a lot of chakra. Chika barely had any time to react as the large beam of Raiton was launched right towards both Ari, and by proxy himself.

    "FUCK!"

He'd spin and pull in his puppets, the impact of the beam just barely blocked by his spinning as he forced the full 8m sphere to come out. If he had been even half the distance, he probably wouldn't have been able to put up his defense in time. And then quickly came another problem: He was suspended in the air, thanks to the beam utterly decimating the house he was in. The beam thankfully ended before he had to stop his rotation due to the coming freefall, but he'd need to get into proper combat mode immediately. Through gritted teeth, he's command and pull in his greatest puppet: Yurushite Karakuri.

    "Yuru: Ironheart Mode!"

The puppet would comply as it transformed into proper puppet armor and attached itself to it's creator. A part of him cursed himself at not seeing something like this happening. If the Hokage was the one leading the mission, no shit the enemy force would have a specialist for long and wide ranged bullshit; another tallymark to add to the list of reasons why he was getting fed up with Nyguyen.

But there was another problem, as last he checked, Ari didn't have any good defenses against Raiton attacks given she specialized in Earth. Puppets in tow and facing where the beam came from, he'd fire off some zipline strings from his hip to the closest building on his right, a 2 story building like the one he was in earlier. He perch on the top of it, slowing down enough at the end of his zipline so that none of his puppets nor himself would take any damage, never keeping his telescope off of the attacker while using his peripherals to try and locate his partner. He knew he was going into an uphill battle, but his teammate came before the mission.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by AriDokuma Fri Sep 11, 2020 4:52 am

There wasn’t much Ari could do for multiple factors. The main thing was that Ari had no idea someone was at her blind side the second she wasn’t looking, but by the time Ari caught sight of a figure at the edges of her vision. Before she knew it there was a flash of light and suddenly the world had gone dark. As the beam of raiton decimates the area and everything within. The raiton chakra within the beam assaulted Ari’s body so fast that her mind didn’t even register what had happened.

The raiton dug deep through the muscles and fried the neural network to her body. The intensity of the electricity produced enough heat to scorch her once bronze skin black as obsidian. Cracks along her flesh formed where the raiton ripped into her body as the beam threatened to rip her apart from the inside out. Raiton chakra tore through her muscles and several organs in her body, scorching each of them black and non-usable. The fortunate part of all of this was the instant the beam had struck her body, Ari’s mind had already slipped into unconsciousness.

After the beam had dissipated, Ari’s charred body held nothing from armor to tools. Everything on her person had either melted away or was reduced to ash. There wasn’t even a single strand of her silver hair left on her as Ari’s body dropped several meters downward. Her body made a smoking trail as she reeked of burnt flesh and hair. With a solid thud, Ari’s nearly lifeless body remains motionless on the cleared terrain. Blood poured out of her cracked flesh all over to the point where a pool had formed underneath her.

”Ari.” Ari’s stormy grey eyes snapped open, and suddenly she wasn’t at Meijing City. Instead Ari found herself at a campsite surrounded by a veil of darkness. Despite the campfire blazing in front of her, there wasn’t any sound to be heard from it. Ari didn’t know what to think, but all she knew was that Ari felt incredibly heavy. Like she was buried by a lot of sand, yet could barely turn her head around.

”Where… am i?” Ari questioned, but the words didn’t come from her lips. Her disembodied words seemed to echo throughout the void. There was a deep voice, something that belonged to a large creature, spoken in return.

”You child, are at the crossroads between life and death.” Something ominous slithered in the darkness just outside of the light’s reach. The voice wasn’t the same, yet it was. As odd as it was, the voice seemed to change from a masculine deep, to a soothing feminine voice. Yet Ari could feel a sense of dread and fear assaulting her mind.

”I’m… dead?” Ari can’t shrug off the sluggish sensation on her body, and it became incredibly difficult for her to focus on the campfire in front of her.

”Almost. Your body is severely damaged and you are on the verge of death as we speak. It’s practically certain that you won’t live in the next minute.” The grim news brought a shock to Ari’s mind as she felt her own soul having difficulty maintaining her form. Yet Ari maintained the image of herself, and thus her soul abided by it.

”Who are you?” The Dokuma questioned the entity of shadow, and for a moment Ari heard the most horrific sound of many people screaming in unison that deafened her ears temporarily. It made her flinch as she covered her ears, yet Ari realized that it’s not her ears that was deafened. It was her own fear. The veil pulled itself into the campfire as multiple images twist and mold inward. There were many forms it took, but really Ari could only make out some beast that had a lion for a head, the head of a ram, and the head of a dragon. It even possessed a serpentine tail with a snake head at the end as it slithered beyond the large creature. Ari wanted to run as far away from whatever this thing was as possible, yet she could not move. For her body remained frozen on a wooden log for a bench before the lion’s head spoke in a dignified tone.

”We are many, and yet we are no one. We linger in every creature’s mind, waiting for them to meet their end.” Of course that didn’t really answer Ari’s question, and the entity knew this. In the end, Ari shook her head as she now had a clear mind.

”I can’t die yet! I still haven’t done anything to protect people!” Without missing a beat, the entity cut down Ari’s confidence like a hot knife to butter.

”No you don’t. You seek atonement, not some duty of worldly affairs. Atonement for your failure for being weak. Too weak to save your parents, and you still are too weak to save everyone.” This lion-dragon-goat struck a nerve (no pun intended) in Ari as the world around them suddenly blazed with sheer intensity as she screamed.

”SHUT THE HELL UP YOU DAMN OUTSIDER! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME, AND YOU DON’T OWN ME EITHER SO DON’T GO TELLING ME WHAT I AM OR WHAT I SHOULD DO!” Despite the world burning around them, the chimera didn’t flinch, and there was a smirk tugging at the lion’s head.

”That is where you are wrong. You fear failure because of your past failures that cost hundreds of lives. Even to the point where you were almost by yourself. Because of those failures, you seek atonement for yourself by seeking refuge in others. Yet you do not see them for who they are.” Just like a cool winter breeze, the flames died down as shadows encroached on the burning energy until nothing remained. Not even the heat, and the only light was the campfire.

”Okay fine! Why is it so wrong for me to prevent someone else going through the same thing as I did?!” This time the dragon head shook its head before it spoke with a lisp.

”We never said it was wrong. We merely said that you do not truly see the ones you seek refuge in. You rely too much on those pretty eyes of yours.” With a sinister smile, the dragon head continued.

”We propose a deal for you. If you truly wish to live and your friends can stabilize your physical body. Then you may go back. However, in exchange we will be taking your eyes. Refuse, and it’s the afterlife that awaits you.” It wasn’t really an option for Ari, but the serpentine tail slithered around the body. The tail wrapped around Ari’s body before the snakehead opened its mouth. Revealing two large fangs dripping with venom as a hiss breathes down on Ari’s motionless body.

    ”Fine…”

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by Valen Minamoto Fri Sep 11, 2020 5:51 am

The beam of raiton exploded outward, the brilliant flash of light engulfing all as the enormous blast ripped through empty buildings like wet tissue paper. Tamwyn couldn't see into the mayhem while Kikoho fired, couldn't see the sheer scale of destruction he caused with just a simple molding of chakra. Not until it had all faded, the brilliant light of his technique fading along with the noise the technique made. When it was all said and done, he stood atop a building, or rather, what was left of one. The beam had widened out swiftly and part of the building he was standing on was simply rubble now. His section of roof was sturdy for now. He remained on it for the moment, wanting to get a look of his surroundings from a somewhat higher point. Everything before him was charred rubble, blackened by electrical scorching. Buildings were decimated and the pale haired man winced at the destruction he'd caused. He had never put it into scale before. Never considered just what his techniques could really do to an urban environment. Frankly it was, terrifying.

His eyes found a figure standing on a two story building about 200 meters away. She appeared to be a slender figure in her forties but it was hard to see details through the haze of smoke that was coming off the charred rubble around them. That would probably be an enemy his jutsu had forced out of hiding. He would have to be careful of them. The figure appeared to be female, but he was honestly making assumptions there. Either way, it was quite time to figure out what was next. Looking down toward the destruction again he would finally lay eyes on the form some fifty or so meters away. His eyes widening in shock as he looked upon the form he had realized his jutsu on.

He moved to the young woman's side in a moment, his mind screaming as he knelt next to her. "Fuck!" He cried out as he looked around for what he could do, what he could use. He had never imagined someone could be this hurt from one of his techniques. He knew he was strong, but Ryuko had been nearly unaffected when he tried one on her, and it was the same power as this. Was she truly that powerful? He hadn't been ready for such a massive difference in scale. Hadn't adjusted for it, and now this poor girl was going to die because of his mistake. "Fuck, fuck, fuck." He'd say simply as he looked around for something he could use. "I'm sorry, damnit, I didn't mean for so much damage to occur. I didn't mean to do this to you." He would say as he looked before finding a red case half in the ground behind him. Moving toward it, assuming it was what he thought it was, he would drag it out of the rubble. It was intact, and it was in fact a first aid kit. He didn't know what in the fuck he would do with it. As he wasn't a medical shinobi, but it was definitely a first aid kit. Moving back to her he'd kneel beside her and try to figure out what in the fuck to do next.

Looking at her charred form he would see the blood pooling around her, it was all over his pants now, but that didn't matter. He didn't want to kill anyone today if he could help it. She was just doing her job, like he was. Opening the case he'd find gauze, scissors, burn cream, bandages, medical tape, and other such items however he wouldn't go for any of them. All of her injuries were so far out of this kits league that there wasn't a shot in hell any of that would help. No, what he could do though, was grab the towels in it and try to press against some of the bleeding in order to staunch it for a while. He just couldn't move her without some help, not safely, or rather, at all. All he could do was try to keep her alive for a time before a medical shinobi arrived. Pointing a finger up into the air, he'd fire an electrical flare up into the air. The orb of red light would fly up into the sky before bursting into the shape of a medics cross. Signaling the need for a medic. It was the best he could do for the moment while he tried to stop the poor girls breathing. Of course during all of this, his senses would be on high alert for any possible threats. This was still a warzone after all.

    Post by Data_Sora Fri Sep 11, 2020 5:47 pm

    Oh. Oh no.

For a moment, he couldn't help but briefly shift his telescopic sight over to his comrade for a few seconds, his own curiosity from afar showing him a grizzly scene. Logically he knew it would happen, everyone dies, and sometimes one was unlucky. He himself had to deliver the bad new to many as the clan head, so in his mind he thought he was ready. Seeing the charred near-corpse of his teammate told him he was very much not ready. Thankfully he could see chakra within their system, and some activity within their heart and mind, but it was small, super small. This practically confirmed it, this mission was a mistake, and while he would have words with the one who instigated it later, right now, he had to make sure his pu-. His pu-. He had to make sure Dokuma wouldn't die.

Moving the mental telescope back over the possible threat, he'd rapidly make his way over to his partner. By proxy this also moved him away from the other 2 major battles going on in the city. Sure he couldn't zoom in on them, but the large amount of bodies constantly forming around what he could assume to be the Hokage's fight was hard to not take note of. Still, whatever going on there could wait as he continued to focus on the one who practically killed his teammate. He'd watch as they moved over to the body and as they'd speak to what he had to assume was themselves. Apparently the shinobi wasn't trying to kill? Why were they not? Sport, interrogation, why? Seeing him go and grab a medkit just didn't make much sense to him either. They were enemies, why try and stabilize someone who was near-dead? No, he was mentally slipping again, of course Chika wanted Ari to live, it didn't matter why.

Arriving at his teammates body properly now, Chika would speak, the voice modulator inside Yuru automatically kicking in and making him sound feminine. "Move, you're pressing too hard and will cause unneeded damage, my puppets will stabilize her until a proper medical ninja arrives." He'd vocally pause as his puppets moved in, the four humanoid puppets pulling out their own medkits and getting to work. "You are very lucky that attack didn't completely fry her brain or tenketsu, though given these injuries you were smart to signal. If you wish to go ahead and continue fighting the others, go ahead; my priority lies within making sure this one survives." Chika would make the nessesary 3 hand seals and begin to channel medical chakra through their hands, their left going to Ari's forehead and the right being put over her chest above where the remains of her heart. Hopefully it'd be enough for now.

"Pride and security my ass, honestly, what was the Hokage thinking starting this war?"

Post by Valen Minamoto Sat Sep 12, 2020 1:45 am

Someone came, however the first words from the woman's lips would cause him to pause before moving out of her way. four puppets, controlled by her would kneel down and begin working on the woman. She would proceed to tell him that he could go fight others if he wished, although he wasn't sure how comfortable he was with that now given what had happened. Taking a deep breath he would calm himself, or at least work harder to do so. He'd center himself, keeping his senses open for any threat while doing so. Before long he would breath normally again before turning to the woman who had come. "I can't just leave now that I've done this. I know it's a war damnit, but I didn't know my new technique would do this much damage to an urban environment. I've never had such a scale to see just how much damage my techniques can do..The only person I've ever tested them on has been ludicrously powerful, and I never thought..Well I guess I intellectually considered the kind of grievous damage it could do to someone. I didn't want this, hell I don't even want to be here. I want to help my allies of course. I want to help Iwagakure as a proud shinobi of Kumogakure but...god I didn't want to do this to someone." He would say, his eyes never leaving Ari as the woman and puppets worked.

"I can't just leave someone who needs medical aid at this point anyway. She was here under orders, doing her job. At this point she's a civilian as far as I'm concerned and part of my task to ensure the safety of such individuals. I'll stay here and protect her until she's stabilized and can be moved. Then I'll go help my comrades." He would say, an eerie yellow brilliance lighting in his eyes as he moved to stand in a protective posture over the group, keeping all of them in sight in case of ambushes upon them, or him for that matter. Before long an individual wearing the white coat of a medic could be seen. He had Kumogakure identification and Tamwyn wordlessly pointed toward Ari and Chika. "Talk to her, I caused the damage but she's trying to keep her alive for now. The injured is either a member of the revolt or a Konohagakure Shinobi, one of the two. She wasn't wearing her headband when I hit her." He would say, giving the medic a bit of information before the man nodded and moved toward the group with the rest of his team.

Hopefully they would be able to stabilize her and move her safely. Until then, Tamwyn would stand guard, ensuring that no one got close enough. He would however turn his gaze toward the woman who had come to help. She had been standing on a building when the light from his technique faded and she hadn't been there previously. That meant that she was hiding someone in the area. But everyone in the area had been evacuated prior to the meeting between himself and the himself girl. So what had she been doing here? He was sure she wan't from Kumogakure or Iwagakure, because they would be wearing their headbands as previously stated. Revolt members were fighting and causing riots, not healing people as far as he knew. Which meant she was probably a Konoha shinobi. It didn't really matter in the end anyway, as far as Tamwyn was concerned she was working to help heal the girl. Wanting to ask for information as to her condition, but knowing not to be utterly fucking annoying, Tamwyn would keep his mouth shut as he scanned the area for threats again, as he'd done multiple times thus far.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by Nyguyen Uchiha Sat Sep 12, 2020 1:30 pm

Nyguyen's clones took off in the direction he had assigned his students. Their goal had been to mop up any Iwa shinobi that was still fighting in the area. The Mountain Alliance was to do the bulk of the fighting but Konoha's material assistance could make a major difference in the outcome of the war. As the Hokage's doppelgangers moved through the concrete jungle, they saw the devastating effect that the war had had on the city's infrastructure and populace. There were still looters running about and corpses lining the streets. The Minor Nations had gone all out in their quest to take down the Earth Country and yet, miraculously, the city had not fallen. The tenacity of these people were not to be underestimated and so the clones sped forwards hoping against hope that Chika and Ari were ready to take on such brave forces. They had crossed about half the distance when they saw a massive bolt of lightning zip through the sky. The proportions of the blast were magnificent and even at their various locations, the clones could see it.

A dark worry crept into their hearts.

Lightning was the signature element of Kumogakure no Sato. He had no reason to believe they'd interfere in a conflict this far west but given their involvement in the Meteor Wars, he assumed the worst. The clones pushed themselves to their absolute limit to get to the source of the blast. With any luck it had nothing to do with his own nin. The clones leapt across rooftops, darted through alleyways, and flipped over street debris to arrive at the location. They had stretched the absolute limit of the technique and were now a few paces away from the zone of impact. Nyguyen's clones stared in horror at the sight before them.

"No no no no no" a chorus of voices whispered. Chika was clad in his puppetry and was attending to a charred body. It was the apparent victim of whatever hell had been unleashed by the Raiton master. The Nyguyens could tell via their Sharingan who the body belonged to. The dimensions, size, Chika's frantic first aid. It all led to one demoralizing conclusion. She was either dead or dying.

"Ari....no....my god no....what have I done?" Only one of the clones said it and afterwards it disappeared. The real Nyguyen had to know.

The clones saw a Kumo-Nin standing in front of them. The man looked menacing and he had an aura of lighting around him. He wasn't attacking them but it was clear that he was using some kind of electrical ninjutsu. He appeared to be guarding Ari and Chika, but for what purpose Nyg could not imagine. The Kumo headband broadcast his affiliation and as soon as the clones noticed it, another vanished. The situation had gone from bad to worse. Nyg panicked and assumed that Tamwyn was permitting Chika to attend to Ari's wounds just so he could capture them whole. Tears formed in his eyes as he realized that this mission was now a catastrophic failure of his own making.

The clones burst out onto the scene and rushed Tamwyn from multiple points. If he fled, they would not be able to give chase because of the maximum limit they were operating under. But they had to make him pay. He had hurt Ari. A girl who was already suffering from so many emotional scars and wounds would be forever physically handicapped due to the Kumo-Nin's cruelty and Nyguyen's stupidity. Brushing the latter aside, the Hokage directed his anger towards an external enemy. He couldn't afford to loathe himself right now. He had to protect his students.

"STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!" He shouted. The Hokage's voice was a mixture of madness, grief, and hatred. Half of the clones surrounded Tamwyn and attempted to stab him with their kunai. The other half rushed to Chika's side. They did not crowd for fear of messing up an already bad situation. One of the clones spoke:

"Is she.....Is she...." the man's voice was trembling and his eyes were experiencing dystonia. He was on the verge of shutting down.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

    Post by Data_Sora Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:54 am

While he was glad that the man had moved, Chika could feel a vein start to build up pressure on his forehead as the enemy spoke. He would wait for the kumo-nin to finish taking about how he'd protect them out of respect for the man's power. "By the Paths, you remind me of my sister. It's called Ninjutsu for a reason and not Ninshu, so if you make a beam that can destroy several blocks, you should expect it to either kill or severely main a shinobi of nearly any caliber. And while I am grateful for your attempt to pay-oh come the fuck on."

He had arrived. Well, not the main body, but a good chunk of his clones. Chika wasn't sure what sort of clone technique the man was using, but whatever it was made a ridiculous amount. And now with their presence properly in telescopic range, he could make note of each of their locations at the edge of the far end of the 300m crater made by the bullshit laser, the edge of the zone of impact. However, He could still see the same chakra signatures outside of his telescopic range, and given how these ones were so low unless they requires less concentration the real one wasn't here, being practically confirmed as one poofed without there being any attack. He didn't even need to put much effort into lip reading to see what they were all saying. And then, then they tried to move closer.

    "Idiot."

Chika didn't need to look away from his work as he watched the multitude of Nyg clones try to approach and then spontaneously poof as they tried to overextend their range limit. While he himself didn't know the exact technique Nyg was using, he could tell it was a clone technique and clones were limited in range, and Nyg was still out of his telescopic viewpoint, just as he was at the start of this engagement. In fact, if he was correct, Nyg hadn't moved from his hiding spot at all about a kilometer and a third away from them-oh wait no he was moving away from the battle with the traitor and Tsuchi. It wasn't a perfectly straight line, but by the end of what chika figured was the main body moving (given it was the only one not actually attacking or in a large group) he'd be about 1,600 meters away now. Still for enough out of his range to zoom in, but still perfectly in range of his vision.

Chika would just turn to the Kumo medical-nin who had come as if nothing had happened as they continued to try and stabilize the body. "You can see it's bad on the outside, it's just as bad on the inside. My puppets and I have done what we can, but I was not taught the Mystic Palm properly. If you need me to point out issues, I have vision similar to the Byakugan, so I will do what I can to help you." He'd then actually look to the one guarding them. There were many things Chika wanted to say, wanted to do, but he could not risk his teammates life.

"Like I said, you want this over quick? The one you need to look for is just under over a kilometer and a half that way. If you were able to see it, he's the one who made the clones who were just at the edge of this crater over there, and currently engaged with who I can assume to be the Kotoshura traitor and the Tshuchikage." They'd turn and look back at Ari, their mind made up.

"His name is Nyguyen Uchiha, current Hokage of Konohagakure. For the sake of my clan, the village, and my teammate I will give you his exact coordinates if it means this farce of a war ends and the previous Hokage's good will is not tarnished." ...and for the good of Konoha.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by AriDokuma Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:14 pm

As the Kumo medical shinobi begin to work their magic on the heavily injured Ari. Their experienced hands and precise movements with the Mystic Palm coursing over her barely held together body. To those unable to see her internal body, the wounds within her body internally slowly started to repair itself. For major injuries it would usually take a few minutes, but in this case the medical shinobi might run low on chakra just to repair everything. However on the bright side, death hasn’t claimed her yet.

The downside with the Mystic Palm was the fact that it only repairs wounds and what was already there. Ari lost a lot of blood as she was laid in the puddle of her own blood. So while her wounds were in the process of healing, Ari would still be unconscious due to the blood loss. After some time had passed, the charred flesh of Ari’s skin would start to smooth out and return to color. Hopefully everyone has the stomach of watching that.

However, no matter how much healing is done there was only so much the Mystic Palm could do. For not even the Mystic Palm can repair the complex organs of her eyes.

”Looks like you’ll be able to keep your life after all, child. Now then, stay still or else this will hurt a lot more than necessary.” The chimera spoke before Ari had the chance to react. The snake head of its tail lashed out at lightning speed as it swallowed both of Ari’s eyes whole in a rapid fashion. Using its fangs to sever any attachments with no resistance and suddenly Ari’s vision went completely dark. Ari gasped as she fully expected for it to hurt, yet the pain never came to her. However she could still feel the emptiness where her eyes once were. Tears of blood ran down her cheeks as Ari raised her shaky hands to tenderly touch her cheeks. Ari might have agreed, but the sudden realization that she will never be able to see another color from darkness ever again actually brought sorrow to her.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by Valen Minamoto Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:20 pm

He'd have moved over to his guard position, standing about 25 meters from the raiton charred girl and her medics when the woman would speak to him. She seemed to be scolding him for not knowing what his technique would do in such an environment. A sentiment he understood all too well. However there'd be plenty of time to beat himself up for it later, for now he was in the middle of a warzone. At her cut off he would turn and look around. Given that she didn't seem to turn from her efforts of helping the girl. Off in the distance he'd see a group of men, all looking exactly the same, running towards them. He got a good solid look of them before they dispersed, seemingly from reaching the edge of their range. Raising a curious eyebrow he'd look toward the woman. "That's gotta be one hell of a clone technique for one to be able to make that many clones." He'd say, his curious eyebrow still raised as he moved a little closer to be able to more easily speak to the woman with the puppets.

She would begin giving instructions to the Kumogakure medic who had by then kneeled down to join her in healing the girl. Tamwyn however would listen in and he'd get a bit curious when the woman said she had vision 'similar to the Byakugan'. Was that some sort of bloodline? If so, why was her vision similar without having it? He didn't have a bloodline himself, but weren't they all basically unique? He wasn't sure, but it was worth looking into later. It wouldn't matter if she had the Byakugan or anything else for that matter. Tamwyn wasn't about to attack her for it while she was trying to heal a fallen comrade. She would then turn to him again and begin speaking. Talking of the man who had just tried to rush their location with clones and failed miserably. He was the Hokage? Nyguyen Uchiha? He was fighting Masaru and some Kotoshura traitor? That would probably be Yui. Tamwyn didn't know her personally but he had been shown her picture and a brief dossier on her attitude and style for the purpose of identification on the battlefield. Apparently this woman could give him the Hokage's exact coordinates.

Information on the battlefield could swiftly change however and Tamwyn would rather know who needed help more than where he could be at soonest. "Are they still working to defeat him? There should be another fight somewhere nearby. I had a comrade with me. If Masaru and Yui are handling the Hokage, I'd rather back up my comrade. As far as I know he's fighting alone." He would say, essentially telling her that while taking down the Hokage fast would be grand. Between Masaru and Yui the man probably didn't stand a chance. Seid however, who knew who he was fighting against? Still if Masaru and Yui were having trouble with Nyguyen then he could easily back them up and then all three could descend upon Seids location to back him up. Either way Tamwyn was in a good position. Despite the regrettable way it had been done. He'd one his part of town quickly, and with minimal chakra loss. Now he could 'swing' per say and back up those who needed it.

Looking to the girl, who's skin colour had started to revert back, smoothing back and gaining colour again, Tamwyn would smile softly. "Does that mean she'll live?..I know it probably won't mean much, but can you tell her I apologize? I find this distasteful and didn't intend to do as much damage as I did. I hope she makes a full recovery." He would say to the woman, concern for the girl in his yellow eyes.

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

    Post by Data_Sora Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:41 pm

Chika would relax his muscles a little and reattach the 5 puppets to the puppet pack as the medical-nin continued to use the mystic palm, the inclusion of many hands just not useful right now. Thanks to his byakugan he could see how the technique was preformed, from how it channeded the chakra through each of the tenketsu, as well as how the chakra nature was changed from a raw form to a healing form of it. it was actually amazing to watch from a microscopic level, seeing how it would repa-nonono, he couldn't distract himself like this. If he was going to move Ari he'd need to properly watch and learn how to do this technique so he could move her and let the medical-nin go heal others that also were injured. He'd mimic the movements of the ninja as he went over less critical parts of the body, wanting to make sure that if he did mess up it wouldn't cause Ari to just die on the spot. Moving up and down, slowly healing more of the body Chika noticed that for all everything healed, something wasn't coming back: her eyes.

"...Hm, it seems that your intervention might not be needed after all, that's...yeah that's good in this case. In that case I think it'll be better if we just go over together, as if what I'm seeing is correct, negotiations may be in order to make sure either the Tsuchikage doesn't create a political nightmare." From what he could see Nyguyen had managed to be captured and was being held in chains, with Masaru being the most probable cause. Compared to him having this lightning-nin use the same beam on him, this was a more favorable outcome for both sides. At least with the Uchiha alive the entire clan wouldn't try to annihilate Iwa...yet.

Chika would look at Ari's body, the medical nin still going at it putting on some finishing touches. "Well, we got very lucky. She'll live, but her eyes are shot, completely and utterly. That blast you used completely fried them, and we can't exactly heal what isn't there. Gonna suck telling her how it happened in case those synapses fried as well, but what can you do?" This was going to be a real pain. While Ari was now basically immune to the Sharingan seeing as she didn't use hand seals and didn't have eyes, she'd need rehabilitation before she could even think of being a ninja.

Speaking of comrades, there they were. It was brief glimpses, but chika could see the general gathering of chakra where he last saw Kimoko and the most interesting thing Chika had seen up to that point. "As for your comrade, I assume you're referring to the one with alien chakra who I can barely keep track of. They're currently in battle with another one of our own about seven and a half kilometers over there,-" They'd point to where he could see the battle, between the 4 and 5 o'clock point if the Hokage's battle was at the noon spot. "-but I'd advise neither of us interfere with that until we deal with the closer issue. If the Hokage dies I wouldn't be surprised if they gained some other ridiculous dojutsu ability."

Carefully lifting up the body of Ari, using the byakugan and medical knowledge to carry her in a way she could still heal without worry of major injury, the Yuru puppet would look to their temporary guardian. "It will be faster for us and safer for her if we go together, as I can keep her stabilized in my hands. If you will briefly trust me as I briefly trust you, I will take the lead." They'd continue to follow the instructions of the medical-nin, slowly using their chakra to mend the smaller

Post by AriDokuma Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:45 pm

Under normal circumstances it would have been a miracle for Ari to recover from such devastating wounds. As normally that kind of attack would have torn Ari's body apart until there was nothing left. Yet by some miracle her small body managed to hold on just long enough for a medical shinobi to arrive and provided enough support to stabilize her charred body. However, as Chika deduced via his Byakugan, both of Ari's eyes remained to be empty husks from being fried. Mystic Palm was great for immediate recovery on the field, but the eyes couldn't be repaired by it. An unfortunate circumstance, one that Ari will have to conquer for better or worse.

Ari's breathing becomes raspy, yet stable as her lungs felt sharp pains that made the unconscious girl grimace. The medical shinobi does their best to hoist the incapacitated girl up without hurting her even further. As she was healing, the cracks along her flesh close up to form lightning scars from head to toe. She looked similar to cracked glass as the scars seemed to trace every line of nerves. As she was unconscious, Ari had no option to refuse going anywhere, so she was carried off to wherever her companions seemed necessary.

    [Exit]

The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW) Empty Re: The Battle for Meijing: Chika & Ari v. Tamwyn (ToW)

Post by Valen Minamoto Sat Sep 19, 2020 3:58 pm

Tamwyn would listen to the woman's words carefully. She had taken her puppets out of the equation, instead deciding to utilize a similar technique to the medic who had come to the girls rescue. Why hadn't she just done that earlier? Had she learned the technique on the spot? Medical techniques were notoriously difficult to learn, so to do so meant that the shinobi was talented. Should Tamwyn have taken them out of the battle? No, if he had hit her than it was even odds she wouldn't have survived the blast and the girl being worked on didn't have the capability of healing wounds. He was quite lucky enough as it was. Why waste time thinking of 'what-ifs' that might very well have ended up with someone dead, perhaps more than one. Shaking his head he would snap himself out of his thoughts the woman clarified that it would seem his assistance in combat with the Hokage wasn't necessary. Nodding his head he would reach a similar conclusion the woman did.

Facilitating the surrender of Konoha forces from the battle would do more to help his ally in his fight than simply attacking head on. If they went to the Hokage fight, they could perhaps offer a trade. No one would be stupid enough to kill the man, despite many in the country probably wishing for it. The retaliation would be too great. So giving him to Seids opponents for his surrender would probably be for the best. At these thoughts Tamwyn would turn back to the puppeteer and open his mouth to speak when she did. Informing him that the girl would live, although her eyes were shot. Apparently his blast completely fried them. Sighing in response he'd nod his head. "Understood, for what's worth, despite this being a war, I'm sorry for the trouble the attack caused." He would say, as he turned to look at the rubble of buildings that had once stood in this area. "It's not something I'll forget about anytime soon.." He would say quietly.

She would also proceed to confirm his suspicion that Seid was indeed fighting someone not too terribly far away. He could cover the distance in a little over half a minute perhaps. But that was beside the point, they were going to go play 'wartime politics' now. Something he wasn't looking forward too. Worst yet, he would be the Kumogakure representative too, because Seid was busy. 'Crap..' He thought as he reached that conclusion. Still, there was no helping it. Nodding his head toward the puppeteer to lead them on toward the Hokage and Tsuchikage, Tamwyn would turn toward the medic that had answered the call and give her a grateful nod. "Thank you ma'am. I'll see you around the village sometime." He would say in polite farewell before following the woman carrying the unconscious girl in her arms.

[Exit to the same location Chika stated]
