Dressed to Kill [Specialty Flashback]

Nozomi had arranged a meeting with Okane to collect an item that he had crafted specifically for her. Something that would help her immensely in the war to come she was sure. It was finally ready for her to pick up, and she was interested to see how it had turned out.

She had brought the payment in full for it, ready to hand it off as soon as Okane gave her the kimono.

Nozomi was seated, her hair pulled back in its usual bun at this point. On the Emporium, there was no need for weaponry, so it was an odd moment that Nozomi had none of her gear, but she was completely unarmed for once. She wore an undertunic that usually went under a kimono, but since she was awaiting her battle kimono from Okane, she would just put that on when he handed it over.

Okane had been informed of the arrival of his primary investor. She had ordered something from him some time ago and only now had it truly come to fruition. Months of trial and error with the materials and having to design a whole new fabric. As well as creating the woven threads of the midnight ore which had also proven challenging. Not to mention enchanting it to be enhanced by his own steel release. It had been a major undertaking but in the end he had managed it. Perhaps the most formidable light armor in the world and his stag symbol was on each button. It was labeled as his creation and where ever she demonstrated it's power they would know he was without comparison. He would smile as he was notified that she was seated in his armor shop. The attendant having sent for him immediately. So he would gather himself and a security team to walk with him. It was forbidden to fight on the floating market but only a fool would move something so valuable and not secure it. After all it was worth one million ryo and nothing else like it existed. In his opinion he had created perfection.

So he had grabbed a silver colored medium sized locked cast with a carrying handle hand cuffed to his person. A six man team escorting him to the shop with two behind, one on either side and two in front. All in the uniforms of the stag emporium. They would walk in formation keeping pace with Okane himself but when they reached the shop two would post up on the roof, two on the back door and two by the front. Okane had assured them they would not be needed inside. So he would enter with a smile that brightened the room. He was wearing an entirely different outfit than when she had last seen him. Now he was wearing A black silk shirt with ebroidery around the neck and stiff shoulders. Silver in color with roses. The shirt had three buttons showing on the front at the top with the stag symbol on each with the rest buttoned on the inside. The front of his shirt went down just below the waist but the back flowed out to just above his knees. Beneath it he was wearing comfortable black pants over shined, pointed dress shoes. A silver belt with his house name crossed under a gold belt with the stag symbol in an X just below his waist. His long jet black hair matched the onyx crown with two horns he was wearing. When he moved golden flower petals would seem to fall off of him and fade when they touched the floor. He had more power and grace to him now than the day in the board room. He had become so much more. A kingdom built on her investment. When he spoke it was as if he was humming a melody behind his words. Mesmerizing to listen to.

"Ahh Nozomi. How long has it been? Too long in my opinion. I trust you have been enjoying the returns on your investments?"

Nozomi stood as he entered, grabbing a bag that she had with her. It contained the payment for the kimono she was about to pick up. Holding the bag up, she outstretched an arm for him to accept payment."The investments were never about personal gain, Okane. Of course, the Society has continued to benefit from our partnership." She wasn't fazed much by his sense of style, aesthetic choice was always a secondary concern to her. Practicality and usefulness was always much more important when it came to her choice of dress.

That was more or less the reason she had commissioned a battle kimono in the first place. Any clothes she wore were done so with thought put into the freedom of mobility. Kimonos were quite comfortable and free flowing, hence the choice was a good practical make. However, Okane seemed to opt towards the showy outfits. It made sense for someone of his stature and standing, especially considering he wasn't a combatant like Nozomi.

"My Kimono?" her gaze shifted to the case that Okane had brought with him, curiosity filling her. While she didn't always go for showmanship, she knew that Okane's taste was quite refined, and it was unlikely that he would give her something that looked like trash. She was as much an advertisement as she was a customer, something he would definitely care about.

Okane would smile to her. She truly looked lovely but he wasn't in the habit of attempting to hook up with dangerous women. Even if they were the primary reason for his success. Jade eyes watched her quietly. She would hold out a bag which jingled with the money within to him. He would glance at it before quietly collecting it with his free hand and moving over to the nearby sales counter. Once there he would place the bag and the case on the counter before unlocking the hand cuff with a touch of his finger to it. As if it recognized his chakra. He would smile as he opened the case. Letting go of the open talk of the society partnership. People were making moves against them with or without success. It hardly mattered to Okane though as his partnership was less than open. Still he would click open the large case and allow it to open itself with springs before within was the battle kimono she had ordered. It almost had a sheen to it with barely noticeable black threads in the silk. He smiled with pride before stepping to the side. He made no move to count the money in front of her but spoke instead.

"I think you will be very pleased with what I created for you. This battle Kimono is perhaps the top of the line in comparison to all other light armors. I made it with immortal silk so virtually no blade I didn't make has a chance at cutting it. Normally the weakness to the silk is that it does very little to prevent blunt impacts. However I have infused an ability into the armor to absorb and release kinetic damage. Aside from that I also placed enchantments on it. It can shift into any shape at your will and if you focus chakra into the armor itself, you can produce midnight ore small weaponry. Similar to my steel release. However the midnight ore is not limitless and you will need to come see me again when the enchantment runs out of material. I sized it based on the memory of you from out meeting. It should fit wonderfully. Do try it on won't you?"

Nozomi slipped the kimono on, and it fit like it was made for her. Of course, it was made exactly to fit her. Despite its build, it wasn't heavy. She tested the material, trying to pull it apart, and unsurprisingly, the Kimono didn't tear at all. "Lovely." she replied, bowing her head in respect for the craftsman. "It will serve me well in the coming times."

Of course, Nozomi wasn't around for a social visit at the time, and had to attend to some matters, so with the payment granted to Okane, and the item in her possession, she bid him farewell. "We can set aside some time for a social call if you'd like later, but I'm not on personal time at the moment." There weren't many people that Nozomi would make the time for, but Okane had proven to be worth it to the Society's leader.

Okane would bow his head slightly as she seemed satisfied with his work. He knew she would be after all. Such a powerful armor was unheard of. So light and flexible and yet it would prove to be a contributing factor to her power. For him though it was merely another stepping stone to power and influence. The society saw him in a positive manner. Just like the major nations and some minor nations did. Soon his influence would touch the entire world. However it appeared she didn't have the time to talk over tea and soon she was on her way leaving the payment behind. His jade eyes glanced to it after she was gone and he couldn't help but to smile. Oh how wonderful it was to be wealthy. He would collect it in his hand and join his escort outside back to his tower. His jade eyes glancing down the way she had likely gone with a coy smile playing on his lips.

"Until next time my dear girl. Until next time."
