There was a moment of silence before an unfamiliar feminine voice spoke up. The guard silently opened the door and stepped to the side. Allowing Rin to enter the office before they took their leave from the scene. Rin barely got a foot through the door when he saw a familiar face, and thankful to say the least that she survived. Blonde locks cascading to her back as her tears stream down her face. Rin remembered the last time Yui cried, but it felt such a long time ago. Perhaps it was as time has passed since they were forced to be apart, but it felt like ages since Rin last saw his teammate.
Thanks to the time spent recuperating to regain his agility and strength. Rin is not thrown back from the embrace as he returns the hug. Perhaps not as tight as she was squeezing him, but still enough that his presence is there. The next part Rin wasn’t exactly prepared for as Yui passionately kisses him, but he doesn’t resist as his mind wraps around what is happening. As Yui pulled away and started speaking; Rin lightly rests his forehead against hers and he could tell her that it’s alright. In the end however, Rin knew it was not okay and the guilt that’s probably weighing on her is bigger than anyone else in this room.
”I am sorry for making you worry Yui.” It was true that Rin was thought to be dead as the deadline went by and there was no notion whatsoever. In truth, Rin was so close to ending Menza’s life with his own hands. Rin would have been successful too if it weren’t for Kyoji intervening.

”I appreciate it Lady Hokage. I don’t mind waiting to give my report.” Rin earnestly says to Akari, and he does help himself with a sake cup as his scarred hand reaches over to pour himself a drink. The exposed skin along his left arm partially reveals scar tissue in an intricate pattern given that he is wearing a short sleeved linen shirt. Definitely not dressed like Konohagakure normally are. All the while Rin is complete silent during Yui’s report. There was no sound coming from him as he remained in the back of the office, behind Yui in fact. Where Akari can clearly see both Yui and himself without having to turn her head.
