The forest before her was clear cut.
Trees littered the ground as the red and black clad sharingan warrior moved over them, avoiding branches that stuck up like stakes upon the ground as she tracked the path of the summon that had gone mad due to a vicious genjutsu. It’s summoner had died right before the genjutsu had taken hold and so no one could send the summon back and it was so far gone that it couldn’t or wouldn’t de-summon itself. It was a sad thing to have to do, but the summon was going to have to be put down permanently before it caused more destruction, or even deaths. Akari wasn’t much in the way of large destructive forces yet, she preferred fighting with finesse and her genjutsu. But she could bisect the beast well enough with her sword she was certain.
Of course no one told her what the hell the thing was either. All she could see before her was a path of clear cut trees that led deeper into the forest. She was following it until she found the source of the destruction, but she’d had no such luck as of yet. She held onto the hilt of her sword, ready to use it at a moment's notice if necessary. The summon might be completely mad now, but it had fought alongside shinobi and would know how they operated. She would have to be wary of surprise attacks.
It was at that moment that the thing came into view, it was a ten meter tall praying mantis of all things. The beasts scythe like arms cutting through trees as it’s multiple legs and pincer shaped maw maneuvered around to try to kill animals that were slow on the draw. She sighed deeply at the idea of having to kill a summon. It was an intelligent creature, but she didn’t have a choice in the matter now. Body flickering forward, she reached the praying mantis, and before it could realize she was there, she swiped her sword into and up it’s chest until she bisected it’s head. The creature cried out until she reached its head before splitting apart and falling to the ground into two pieces, dead. Akari sighed sadly, mourning the creature before she turned and headed back home.
