Akari moved down the road at a steady pace, her sword at her side and being held with one hand as she ran down the road. She had begun training with the weapon already and felt it comfortable enough in her hand to be able to handle a sizeable group of bandits that were causing havoc upon the roads. She’d also want to try to learn some personal Kenjutsu techniques that she had begun to create and needed to utilize them in practice in order to ensure their effectiveness. She hoped she got them down correctly but wasn’t entirely sure. The first was the basic style itself, something she had arrogantly begun to call ‘Art of The Blade Mistress’. As if she was worthy of such a title yet, but all things started somewhere, and she intended to become worthy of the name in time.
As she moved down the road she began to see shapes upon the road, men standing across it looking arrogantly toward the village. How did idiots such as this manage to come into the world? Did they really think they’d be able to exact tolls and other such nonsense on the road leading to a shinobi village of all things? It was suicidal to say the least. As she came to a stop not too far away from them, her hand would rest upon the sword. Her style focused on not only her own fluid grace, but misleading the opponent as well. The leader of the bandits spoke up, a confident leer upon his features. “Well, well, well, a cute Konoha girl coming to play heroine? Go back home girl. Unless you wanna pay the toll, don’t worry though, if you don’t have the cash we can agree to let you pay in ‘other ways’.” The man would say, a chuckle coming from his throat. Akari’s eye would twitch in annoyance at the words. The man would begin to walk closer, taking Akari’s stillness as either fear or nervousness. “Don’t worry, we’ll treat you ri~Hur!”. He would begin to say something, probably about them treating her ‘right’ before her blade struck out like a flashing serpent. The man’s perceptions unable to see the blade strike as it cut through his throat with frightening precision.
The rest of the bandits would blink a moment before realising what had occurred and drawing swords of their own. Their blades coming out as quickly as they could, but not all of them would be fast enough. Utilizing her Art of The Blade Mistress, which had thus far proven effective, Akari would begin to work on the first true technique of the style. The Blade Mistresses Waltz was a strike that embodied the idea of the style, deception and control of the users own blade to deceive the perceptions to a much higher degree. The strike that came toward the closest bandit now would catch him in the upper chest in the blink of an eye and he’d descend to the road, a bloody mess upon the dirt.
Combat began, Akari moving through the bandits as they swung at her, but they could never seem to get a lock on her location as she deceived them within their very midst. One bandit, two, three, they went down like sheep as Akari sliced throats, slashed arteries, and cut into the hearts and lungs of her enemies. She continued like this for a time before one of the scum, burlier than the others, swung a heavy weapon at her with enough strength to make her pause. She body flickered to the side, avoiding the blow and turned to look at the man in question. He was surrounded by stupidly grinning fools who thought that they now had a counter to her style. Oh well, time for the second attack in the Art of The Blade Mistresses style of fighting. She moved toward her opponents, cutting down one who came entirely too close before the larger man swung his heavy axe at her once more. Her Sharingan eyes came into focus, three tomoe surrounding the iris as her sword struck out, perfect control within her movements.
As her blade was about to strike the side of the axe head, she twisted the blade sharply, causing sudden torque through the strike that forced the axe off its course. The movement was so violent that the man failed to hold onto the weapon and the axe flew from his hands and the weapon spun end over end until it sank into one of the man’s allies with a meaty ‘thunk’ of impact. The dead bandit fell over as the large man looked over at his comrade and blinked in shock at what had occurred. ‘Clearly ‘Parry’ is a success.’ She would think as she whipped her blade back before the man could realize that he had taken his eyes off of her and neatly slit his throat with her blade. The rest of the bandits would begin to try to run now, scattering about as they abandoned their very ill conceived plan. Akari however wouldn’t ally them to, she would track them down, utilizing her eyes to their fullest as she moved through the forest like a wraith and cut them down like sheep. Before long, the final bandit fell to her sword and she nodded to herself before deactivating her Sharingan and turning to travel home.
