Appearance: Standing at 4'11", Rini's incredibly short even for her age. She's got long, straight hair that's been dyed orange. Her eyes are brown, with a tinge of purple, although they are hidden behind a pair of glasses more often than not.
Her frame is petite, and she's extremely frail, as if a slight breeze could bowl her over. Rini doesn't tend to move around very easily on her own. As much as she hates going outside, its equally as likely that she doesn't see much sun, so her skin is very pale.
She often uses a wheelchair to move around, with a puppet moving the wheelchair, or just using chakra strings to move it herself, as she's so frail that she almost requires aid in order to move around at any normal speeds.
History: By all rights, an unparalleled genius, Rini was born naturally gifted when it came to intelligence. However, she wasn't very physically gifted, and didn't have any sort of aptitude for physicality in the slightest. In fact, quite a frail girl, and quite short as well, Rini was always a deal slower, weaker, and less tolerant to pain, so she could never play well with other kids. That was fine with her though, because Rini's talents placed her far above her peers intellectually, and even most adults she met.
In short, the girl never really fit in with anybody she met. Growing up was lonely, and as Rini loved reading almost anything she could, including diagrams, the girl soon began to work on designing things of her own, improving on the designs she'd already seen. She had a love for coming up with blueprints, and eventually that progressed to actually building the things she was designing, to see if it was practical in theory as well as in practice.
This sparked a massive interest in tinkering with almost anything she could get her hands on, and eventually, Rini began to build and design new things without a prior blueprint to work from. Her parents, seeing this interest, and realizing that they could profit heavily off of their daughter's designs, encouraged her to begin working on puppets, hidden by the guise that they could be like friends to her, while the sold off her designs.
This lasted for several years, before she caught wind of what was going on. However, when Suna collapsed, none of that mattered, since her parents perished in the plague, and the girl moved on in refuge to Kumogakure.
While she wasn't really suited for the traditional shinobi lifestyle, Rini still went through the academy and her intelligence alone pushed her through, as she came up with new and innovative ideas to get through any problem she had. Even physically handicapped, the Academy was a joke to her. However, she really had no drive to do any work as a kunoichi, she mainly joined to see if she could do it, as she'd been told she couldn't by her parents forever.
They'd coddled her, not letting her go outside unchaperoned, for fear that she'd get hurt, and then later because they wanted to continue profiting off of her genius. Her joining the Academy was more an act of defiance to her deceased parents, proving she could do anything she set her mind to. However, that meant she was, for all intents and purposes, a genin, and thus a kunoichi.
Mainly due to her refusal to fail, Rini continued doing more or less the bare minimum required of her to continue to be a kunoichi, but she flew under the radar for several years, forging documents that let her live on her own, as the documents showed her under the care of someone, and took care of herself for the most part.
She tends to use her intelligence to her benefit, being a standalone intelligence network, although she uses different pseudonyms and fake organizations to both gather and dispense information for a cost. People think that she is an entire organization, and often use her services through the "group" but in reality, it's just her. Hard to track down because of her different psuedonyms, she often reaches out to people through different email systems and provides drop sites and uses puppets to act as her "agents" so that she never has to reveal herself to other people.
Rini doesn't really concern herself with legality when it comes to this sort of thing, and if someone asks her to find information, she'll stop at nothing when she makes a deal with people to get that information. She does often refuse to find information on a whim, as she really just wants to gather information that intrigues her.
Personality: Socially inept, the girl is very quiet and often unresponsive to people. Crowds and unfamiliar situations freak her out, and she'd much rather stay home, an unfortunate circumstance of her upbringing. She rarely leaves the house, except to go on the occasional D rank mission so she can get some money for her projects, since genin get paid very little salary, enough to sustain her lifestyle and have some food, but that's about it.
When she does open up though, she's still incredibly blunt and awkward, since she doesn't really know how to talk to people appropriately.
Surprisingly, she can be quite vulgar, or perhaps unsurprisingly. Quick to temper, and quite impatient when it comes to getting something she wants when she wants it, if she's working on a goal, her attention is undivided, and she can easily ignore everything else, shutting out the world while she completes her task. In those cases, she's more or less impossible to talk to.
Given a headset or other mobile communicator though, and she's almost a completely different person. Communication without people seeing her is much easier. Even if she's just hiding her face, anything is better than nothing, so she makes a habit to do so when she's going out. Masks of all sorts, large glasses with an abnormal amount of glare on the outside (but somehow not the inside), headphones, goggles, anything that puts a bit of a barrier between her and the world lets her be more comfortable.
She's often pretty tired, and sleeps for long periods of time, because doing most things drains her quite a bit. Especially physical, but mental strain often leaves her tired too, since she zones into things for hours and doesn't give herself a break until she physically has to.
