Rain and Mockingbirds [Scouting]

The 1st Squad of Mockingbird scouts didn't take too long to reach the Land of Rain. It was after all one of their easiest targets for scouting since it directly bordered the Land of Fire. Once they reached their position, the real operation begun. The squad of 10 men split up and each one began acquiring a careful network of spies, using bribes or intimidation when necessary. They themselves would take turns watching the roads and the ships which sailed down or up Nagato River. Sooner rather than later the Land of Rain would be under complete monitorization of these men and while they were unable to find any actual hidden village they would soon find resource sites and their complex network would be able to monitor any foreign activity in the land. The borders were carefully monitored and the roads and muddy forests carefully watched. If someone passed through this land, Mockingbird would know.

After a while, the men and women settled down to their new routines and got used to the Land of Rain. This would be their mission for the next few months, and they knew their duty to Akihiro and the Hidden Leaf was of vital importance.

After weeks of travelling the 16th Mockingbird Scout unit finally arrived at the land of rain to meet up with their comrades. Their mission was a simple but exhausting one, they were to distribute a very particular tool to each one of the other scout units around the continent. Thus, they left one of Akihiro's marked kunais with the first squad and then went on with their travels, keeping with their intended route.

Akihiro showed up near the unit. At first they were scared and got into defensive positions but the sight of their leader calmed them down.

"1st Squad, with me."

The orders were crystal clear. And they were obeyed. They were about to catch up with Konohagakure no Sato's scout unit.
