Making friends [mission]

Mission:

There was a small lake in one of Kirigakure no Sato's training grounds. Being a village with a population naturally gifted in Suiton techniques and with a mindset geared towards the sea, it was only natural that Kirigakure no Sato's training grounds had such a lake. It was located right in the middle of a small forest of pine trees. There was a clearing and after a few meters of walking on soft grass, one would find the lake. This was where Ann was seated. She wasn't using the water walking technique but rather a platform of ice beneath her body, between her and the layer of water. It was just thick enough to make sure she didn't sink, but thin enough to make balancing difficult. Advanced Ice Release users with high dexterity and coordination could stand on these platforms in the middle of sea storms. But Ann was struggling with keeping her balance on a stagnated lake. She would float around, always near the center but never in the same position for long. Her legs were crossed, and her eyes closed. It was snowing. Creating a rain of snowflakes around the area was a Yuki ability and one which they usually kept under control. But ever since she had woken up from her deep slumber, Ann found it difficult to control her abilities like she had once been able to. And so whenever she made use of her Yuki abilities, snow began to fall and cover the grass in trees in a for now thin but beautiful layer of white.

As usual, Arisu took some time out of the day to go to the training grounds and get some physical activity in, so she could improve her condition and maybe actually get to the point where she could be considered a top tier kunoichi in the world. Beyond that, with her eyes came a curse of completion, and she would need to be in top shape to not only survive the hunting, but to take the eyes from other Otsutsuki and prevent hers from being taken as well.

Her headband covered one of her eyes, the pink one that she always kept hidden away, while her normal blue eye was presented just as it always was. She never had her rinnegan activated, especially since she hadnt actually unlocked her path yet, needing more training before she could do so, and the goal right now was to remain anonymous as far as her actual clan went.

The girl herself wasnt all that interesting, wearing a normal black jumpsuit in order to blend in more with society, although her paleness and white hair were fairly out there. At the very least she was in a village full of others that looked similar, those being the Kaguya clan members, so she blended in well enough.

She moved through the training grounds, but was surprised to see snow on a day like today. It wasnt necessarily a cold day, and snow didnt usually fall much in Kiri, as they were a little warmer on average than allowed for snow, despite thr amount of precipitation around.

She looked around, identifying the source of the snow to be a girl in the middle of the water, floating on ice. One of the Yuki clan members, judging by the ice block she was floating on. Arisu sat at the edge of the water and stared out, watching the snow fall in the area, and enjoying the view of it. She didnt see it very often, so this was a rare opportunity to enjoy a moment.

Ann was in a state of deep meditation. Her mind wandered through spaces within itself. She was brought to flashbacks of her old life, of her training with the samurai. Then she was back in the Land of earth, at the small house near the border with the Land of Iron where she first began her ninja training with her mom and dad. It had all happened so many years ago but Ann had her memories so well maintained that it seemed like it had only happened yesterday. Then she was led by her mind to the day of the attack on the temple, and her heart began to beat faster. Losing control of her heartbeat was the first step for losing control of her meditation process.

She opened her eyes suddenly. Ann had been trying to use meditation as a way to try and help her body heal. She'd learned from the samurai that the mind had much more control over one's body than she had initially thought. Unfortunately for her right now, this was true. As she opened her eyes she immediately sensed a shift in the balance of her ice platform. Looking down she noticed she had accidentally partially activated her Steel release, unbalancing her body. Before she could do anything about it, Ann was falling on her back.

She landed on the lake with a splash. The water was cold, but she was a Yuki. The cold wasn't a problem. She stood there underwater for a couple of seconds before swimming up to the surface and then to the edge of the lake. As she reached the edge and looked up, she found a girl. She found a girl a bit too close to her. Ann flinched and back off, landing her backside on the water with another splash. The lake wasn't too deep near this edge and so she sat there, water up to her waist. "H-how long have you been there?"

Arisu watched as the girl lost her balance and tumbled into the water. Stifling a small giggle, Arisu simply watched as she began to swim towards the shore, almost directly towards her. Sitting still, she simply went back to staring out at the snow which was starting to stop as the Yuki had lost her concentration.

"I've only been here for a short amount of time." she responded, taking a closer look at the girl. She looked around the same age as she herself was, which was fairly nice.

"What were you doing meditating out there? It looked like it was going fine until you got spooked or something." Arisu was fairly observant for a genin, at least as fresh as she was. She had some experience from where she was from though, so that helped.

Ann thought the girl's reaction was odd. Most people would have laughed at her for falling twice, but Arisu simply shifted her gaze towards the falling snow, perhaps deciding it was better to appreciate each and every single falling snowflake as they gently fell on the ground, guided by a small breeze.

"I was waiting for someone to come here. Anyone, really." She reached for a scroll in one of her pockets and took it out. It was obviously wet and reduced to a paste of paper and ink. "I needed a partner to take the sparring mission with me, but I don't really know anyone so I came here. The training field was empty tho... guess it was because of the snow." Ann gazed at the falling snowflakes very much like Arisu was doing. The snowfall was her doing. There's wasn't much she could do about it in her current state. The snow just came and went depending on her state of mind and body. If she was full of energy and healthy, it fell. But if she fell sick or was just tired after a long day, the snow would stop falling. "They're rather unique you know." She would say, as she extended a hand to catch one. "Depending on the temperature and humidity at the time of their formation, snowflakes can form up to thirty-five different shapes. Combined with the path each one takes to fall, it makes each them really unique."

Arisu glanced at the now thoroughly drenched scroll. "I could spar with you, but Im not very strong. I dont have much in the way of a jutsu arsenal either." She said, having thought of the limitations she had in her fighting style. The Otsutsuki had been working on conceptuals for new jutsu, but she hadnt actually managed to learn any of them just yet, and so she was at a point now where she wasnt particularly strong in any way other than chakra supply for a time.

"I dont know many people here either. Im not from the city. I've had pleasant interactions with the Kaguya here, but that is the extent of my interaction other than teaching missions." Arisu was careful not to mention exactly where she was from but also not make it weird that she didnt know anybody. Come to think of it, "I find it strange that an Ice user wouldnt know anyone."

She had liked shat she said about the snowflakes, and found herself agreeing. "The unique quality is nice. They are like people. Many and varied. So similar and yet as different from one person to the next as can be. None are the same."

"Yes you do look a bit fragile..." Ann would comment as she poked the girl's arm. It wasn't out of malice, but rather a simple observation. She was carefully observing the girl's exposed arm and noticed it did not have the look of an arm that is used to physical combat, either hand to hand or with swords. "Yer not from the city? Me neither. I just got here a couple of weeks ago...I s'ppose that's why I dun know anyone. Are these Kah-guyah nice people? " She asked, legitimately wanted to know whether or not she would find friends there. She had heard of the Kaguya clan of Kirigakure no Sato but they seemed to be some sort of royalty within the village. They had their own district and had always seemed distant.

Ann would then move her gaze from the snowflakes back to Arisu as the girl spoke about the falling snow. They seemed to have found a common ground in the appreciation of something as small as a snowflake. That was nice. Ann rarely ever found common ground with anyone anymore because people were just too different from what they used to be in the past. "Y'know where I come from we usually trained our warriors through battle. I had never even wielded a sword before they pit me against one of the samurai senseis. I almost lost a finger...ah, good times." Ann spaced out a bit, reminiscing. "I'm sure ye could become stronger like that, as well."

Kyoji was itching. Not literally, but within the back of his head, was the itch to fight. His blood lust had been sated, tremendously with his fight at the gates. But now he was feeling a little blue balled. There was never a dull moment, when it came to Kyoji. He was wearing his Jounin flak jacket, his sword on his back and Wakazashi on his belt as well. The rest of his tools were where they usually were. Beside him was a Chuunin and personal friend of his, Zi. They were the same age but Kyo had sprinted to the ranks of Jounin and Zi was good enough to be considered a Chuunin. But they were a good team, and would go on missions frequently aiding each other.

Zi walked alongside of Kyoji as they made their way through the training area. "Looking for a fight again?" Zi said giving Kyoji the side-eye. "You know you're not supposed to beat up your own ninja, 'Jounin'."

Kyoji looked to Zi with a deadly looking smile. Showing the sharp teeth in perfect rows. "Sounds like you want to be added to the list."

"Not at all. Stop abusing us."

"Maybe later. I think we found some takers." Zi looked up to see what he was talking about. Lord and behold, there was two people on the training grounds. Ann, was one of the newer Jounin he had yet to encounter. The other was a Genin. Kyo smiled as he walked towards them with Zi at his tail.

"Well met you two. I see you both are here to train. But seems you have yet to start." He walked towards Ann giving her a look. She didn't seem very strong physically, but looks could be very deceiving. He thought of the powerful Tsubaki and nodded to himself.

"How about me and Zi spar you both. Let's test those skills." He said to them both. Zi facepalmed himself behind Kyoji.

Arisu nodded her head when Ann asked if she wasnt from the city. She wasnt even from this world, so that was correct. "The Kaguya can be nice, but they don't like outsiders all that much. I just look like them enough for that to not matter."

She shifted away when Ann poked her arm, getting a little to familiar and comfortable for Arisu's tastes. "The samurai? Aren't they mostly in the land of Iron?" She asked, but before she could receive a response, two more individuals showed up, a sharkman and another.

It seemed everyone was interested in sparring, but that was probably because they were in the training grounds. "Very well. As I told this woman, I am not really much of a fighter at the moment, but I can do a little bit."

Standing up, she dusted off her pants, which had some sand stuck to the back of them. "Any rules other than no killing?"

Ann thought it was a bit odd that Arisu had shifted away after she had poked the girl's arm. She'd meant no harm, but perhaps the girl simply did not like to be touched. Ann supposed she could understand that, but she felt bad for causing a bad impression on someone she'd just met. Luckily Arisu didn't seem too bothered by it. "Well ye-Oh" Ann was about to reply to the question about samurai and their origins when two newcomers arrived at the scene. She shifted her gaze towards them and examined the two as they spoke. The sharkman was smiling but Ann couldn't say it was a friendly smile. There were rows and rows of teeth behind his smile not to mention a certain bloodlust which was almost palpable.

Before she could reply, however, Arisu stood up and accepted their challenge. This brought a smile to Ann's face. Despite her hesitation in sparring with the Yuki earlier, Arisu seemed to have taken her advice and attempt to improve through battle. Or maybe she hadn't listened to her at all and was just doing this of her own accord. Either way, Ann was happy she'd get to see some action. The Yuki would stand up and walk a few steps towards the shore, standing about 4 meters to Arisu's right side. She took a better look at their opponents, noticing the sharkman's Jonin flack jacket and his two blades. Ann smirked. "A swordsman, huh? Very well, I shall take you on." She couldn't be entirely sure she'd be able to take on this man, but she wanted to give it a try anyway. Her body was still recovering from the deep freeze event and was only a fraction of what it had once been, 500 years ago when she trained at the Land of Iron. But could a fraction be enough? Only a proper match could tell her that answer.

Her skin turned white as she extended her hands and from each palm produced a beautifully crafted white blade, ending up holding them both one in each hand. Unlike the regular katanas, these blades did not make a curve, they were forged in a completely straight line. The metal from which the blades were formed was also of a pure white. Snow was now falling more confidently on the battlefield as Ann's own confidence rose and she prepared for battle. Taking a stance, she readied her blades on in each hand. The blades were rather long, with about 70 centimeters each. Additionally, her armor also became white, as the signature technique of the Tetsudashi clan came into effect.

"Alright." Ann tilted her head a bit to the side. As if wondering what this sharkman was capable of. "Don't hold back or I'll make you regret it." she smiled.

Both of them were both in agreement to the duel. The Genin wanted to know what other rules would suffice. "Anything else is allowed besides that of course. We will try to keep it level, but it will provide us a chance to see your skills. For her however." Kyoji said directing his attention to Ann. "She gets my best as she wanted." Kyoji unsheathed his blades and jumped five meters backwards, giving distance to the two. Zi did the same preparing for battle with Arisu. "You will be my opponent." Zi said to Arisu. Unfamiliar with Taijutsu styles he merely waited for Kyoji's ok to start.

Ann began to create ice from her very hands. It took on the form of a sword. They did not curve so they were different from regular katana swords. There was stream of concentrated water that began to form on Kyoji's soft-bladed katana and wakizashi. The water flowed forward towards the tip of the blade, protecting the blade. Her armor began to take a white color to it. "Very interesting technique." Kyoji said to Ann as they all prepared to start. Zi and Kyoji gave each other space so that the others wouldn't intervene with each other. But Kyoji was hoping that they would help one another to beat their opponents. Especially since the Genin was a bit outgunned at the moment.

Kyoji assumed his Kendo stance and twisted his foot into the ground. Time to show why he was supposedly the best swordsman in the village. Worthy to become one of the Legendary Swordsman of the Mist. "Let's begin." Kyoji dashed forward, covering the distance he gave them very quickly. He started by swinging one his blades towards Ann's midsection with his left blade. The horizontal slash would pack some heat behind it should she parry the attack. His right blade ready to snap forward.

Zi actually waited for Arisu to attack first. Time too see what she could do. But he prepared handsigns for an attack just in case.

Stats and Jutsus:

Arisu watched as Ann created two swords, finding it interesting that she seemed to be able to make such weapons with ease. Ice seemed very versatile, and looked vaguely metallic to her, but she had someone else to focus on other than Ann. If she was fighting to shark man, then her opponent was the other one, and that's who she had to fight.

Unfortunately though, Arisu wasn't a particularly martial fighter, and punches from her were fairly ineffective. Coupled with a current small jutsu arsenal, she focused some chakra towards her fingers and toes, and her nails grew out, sharpening and hardening into claws. She posted up into a light footed stance, but otherwise didn't approach Zi.

One of the things that she had noticed was that he seemed to be waiting for her to attack first, but she didn't really like to do that. It was smarter for her to just wait for him. She didn't want to go heavy on her jutsu, as this was a spar, and she didn't really have a whole lot that wasn't Black Receiver related currently. Already she was ready to take a loss for this match considering her lack of experience and strength.

Already just from her peripheral vision, she was able to notice how fast Kyoji was, simply from the blur of movement that he was moving in. Jounin level fighters were incredible in their own right for sure, and one day soon, Arisu planned on being able to fight at that level.

Ann smirked. Her body wasn't quite ready for combat yet but she refused to fight anything less than Kyoji's very best. So one can imagine how glad she was that he bluntly stated he'd be going all out against her. This was, in its essence, a stress test to her body. She needed to gauge just how far she was able to go in her current condition after not fighting for over five centuries. It would be perfectly normal for one to worry about fighting a Jonin in such conditions, but while she wore her Tetsudashi steel armor and swords, Ann really felt unstoppable. It would take a real heavy hit to bring her moral down. As Kyoji stepped back and she readied herself, the Yuki couldn't help but wonder if this sharkman was going to be able to cut her. She noticed the chakra flow running in his weapon, and activated her own chakra flow technique roughly at the same time. Her white blades became black. "Suiton eh? Now there's an element I'm familiar with..."

Then he moved. And he was fast, faster than she could possibly keep up with in terms of raw speed. As he approached and took a swing at her, Ann could barely do anything. She simply couldn't see him, so she figured she had no choice but to let him strike first and so she had braced for the hit. She had taken notice of the man's physical attributes too- his height, estimated weight, arm length, etc. It was only natural for a swordsman to do this when meeting an opponent, as being able to get out of the way of an arm's length could easily mean the difference between life and death. And yet as he moved towards her, all of that seemed to suddenly have become meaningless. Seemed.

With his left blade, Kyoji struck Ann's torso on her right side, at her waist. This was the moment she'd been waiting for. It was true that she hadn't been able to parry the sword slash, but she didn't need to. In fact, she didn't want to. A solid *THUMP* was heard. She barely felt it. You see, the man's blades were no match for her Tetsudashi Steel skin. They could not cut her and so the damaging nature of the hit became reduced to a matter of blunt impact. But her armor was extremely resistant, and bringing it down with impact alone was next to impossible. Additionally, she had braced for impact and her Steel release jutsu enhanced her to a point where using her leg strength to stand against that hit was child's play.

Ann would then take advantage of the man's surprise, which was bound to occur. The fact that she couldn't keep up with his speed had, for once, helped her. For as he approached, she would give no sign of an attempt to parry our counter-attack. There would be no indication, in fact she would react no differently than an ordinary civilian citizen would have in terms of attempt to dodge or parry. From the very moment Kyoji moved to the moment his hit connected, everything had gone exactly according to his plan. So it was only natural that he'd be surprised at the fact that she didn't seem affected by it, at all.

But now he was within reach. And there was no way she'd let this opportunity go to waste. With his left blade near her waist, Kyoji's left arm was completely exposed to the blade Ann held in her right hand, above her waist, at chest level. She would bring down her blade swinging it extremely quickly right after Kyoji's hit connected. One should notice that Ann didn't exactly need to perfectly see Kyoji in order to pull this off. She knew the length of his blade, she knew the length of his arm, and by the time he struck and his blade was suddenly stopped she knew exactly where she needed to aim and was already bringing the blade down on him.

Her blades were of extreme quality. Enhanced by her Earth Release chakra flow, they could easily slice a man's arm off like a hot knife through butter. But since this was a spar, she would hold back on the slash with pinpoint precision and only cut enough of the man's bicep muscles so that he'd be unable to use his arm for the rest of the fight. Kyoji was now left with a choice: After his failed attack on Ann's waist and her counter, he could choose to try to parry her right blade's strike with his own right blade. But this would leave him exposed to Ann's left blade.

As she brought her right blade down, Ann also brought her left blade up aiming at Kyoji's right shoulder joint. Her objective with this later move was to put his right right arm out of commission for the rest of the match. Because the two attacks came from opposite directions they became incredibly difficult if not impossible to parry with a single blade. So most likely he'd be able to parry either her left strike or her right strike as there was no way he could bring back his left blade in time to parry both. And should he choose to parry, his own blades would be left in terrible condition after being struck by Ann's S-rank Tetsudashi Steel blades, as even an A-rank quality steel blade would be chipped.

But this was only the beginning of Kyoji's nightmarish encounter with Kirigakure's Snow Blade. These first two slashes were the beginning of a series of strikes, considering the potential success of the first two Ann would press on her advantage. She knew Kyoji was faster than her and that he could retreat so after her right blade came down on his arm she would prioritize slashes at his knees with it since the blade was already lowered while her left blade focused on his torso. He was definitely faster but there was no way he'd be able to get out of her range in time before she could strike at his legs and cripple his ability to escape her sword range in this match. Strike after strike Ann would press on her advantage against a potentially one-armed opponent with inferior weaponry, possibly grinding down on his blades until they were either immediately or gradually broken. Every major hit connection on his skin would leave him with B-rank frostbite damage.

Ann couldn't keep this going for long, but she could keep it going long enough. Unless Kyoji surrendered, she would bring him down with these strikes.

It was a surprise for the Hoshigaki. After dashing forward, Kyoji had slashed at the woman's side. There was an audible thud as his sword slashed against her ribs.

He could feel only feel a steel like defense. However Kyoji did not actually stop his momentum he merely ran past Ann and was able to hit her as he dashed past her. There was sharp blow to his shoulder as he ran past. He stopped some 20 meters as he curved and ran across the shore till he was on top of the water.

How durable was she? A question his bloodlust couldn't wait to test. Sheathing both of his swords. He quickly made a single handsign with his left hand. Feeling the burning sensation of the slash in his shoulder. Time for him to hit back. It was obvious the snow and steel woman was no joke up close. How could she handle ninjutsu?

He summoned the water to burst in front of him into a large linear wave. He aimed the wave at Ann, being sure to aim strictly for her and avoid Arisu. He waved his hand upwards and launched the wave at incredible speeds. That would not puncture or cut into her skin. But should be enough to do something.

Zi would no doubt would notice this. Arisu had missed her chance to charge Zi, as he was a long range fighter. The Chuunin began to unleash his jutsu by drawing a deep breath. He would aim directly at Arisu and fire a ball of compressed air. The blast shot through the air with increased velocity. Fast enough to catch most ninja, and hits hard with to lift you off your feet for a couple of feet.

Arisu was more surprised when Ann took a direct strike from the Fishman like it was nothing to her, which it apparently was. She didn't have a lot of time to particularly be distracted by that, since she was participating in a fight of her own, and her opponent didn't seem to want to engage in a close quarters combat, feeling her out with long range ninjutsu. That was a fair plan, but Arisu wasn't about to let one hit her, since she wasn't exactly able to take a lot of damage currently.

Unfortunately for her, that was easier said than done, the fuuton jutsu was much faster than she currently was, and she couldn't complete the hand seal to use Body Flicker to get out of the way in time. The ball of air slammed into her, knocking the wind out of her slightly and launching her back a little bit, closer to the water, almost in it.

She landed with a thud on the ground, definitely not as resilient as the Jounin Ann was, for that one attack on its own was enough that she wanted to stay down. That wasn't the purpose of the spar though, so she forced herself back up to her feet, and retracted the claws from the Claw jutsu. She wasn't going to get anywhere with that. It didn't help that she had to focus to actually follow the jutsu speed properly. It wasn't that much faster than her perception was able to track, but she didn't actually have the speed to do much about it.

And since Zi was a wind style user, there wasn't a whole lot that Arisu could do if he had something like a wide sweeping wind that affected a whole area, rather than just more like those bullets. She could try and read where he was about to fire and move out of the way before he did that, but if it was a wide area jutsu, it wouldn't matter too much. Arisu just had to hope he wouldn't bother with those, and would instead simply try for similar sniping techniques.

Forming the Dog and Tiger seals, Arisu used the Haze Clone technique, which was a little more advanced than the basic academy clone technique. It was a little different though, in that it could make more clones, 10 in total as opposed to the academy's 2, which she took advantage of. Additionally, attacks would mostly just go through them rather than immediately disperse them. This meant that she could use the clones themselves to distract while she attacked from blind spots.

As they all formed up, Arisu melded into the group of her clones, and all of them began to make Black Receiver rods from their right hand, althought those were just illusions with the exception of Arisu's, making the rods a meter long for all of them, holding them like short staves. Then all 11 of them ran forward, with Arisu staying more in the middle of the group. They all moved around fairly quickly, never maintaining one path, so that it became a confusing jumble of bodies for Zi to look in on, and then Arisu would point her receiver towards his center of mass while charging forward.

Imbuing it with some of her chakra, the rod would launch from her hand, the weapon hidden from view by multiple Arisu clones until it popped out of the one in front, moving almost as fast as the wind bullet had done. The rod was launched with a large amount of force as well, but she hadn't created it as sharp as they usually are, blunting it for the purpose of the spar. She also wasn't planning on using the rods for anything other than blunt damage, since she couldn't well kill someone while sparring.

Still, it was incredibly forceful, and would likely hit harder than his wind bullet had hit her, especially since the force was on a single dull point headed towards his sternum.

"Did I...hit him?" Ann muttered to herself as she noticed the blood dripping from her steel blade. She felt the hit connect and slash Kyoji's skin but...where was Kyoji? By all of her known standards he should've been laying down in front of her, or at least somewhere near after taking a hit from Tetsudashi steel like that. Most men Ann had ever dueled couldn't stand against it. But most men Ann had ever dueled were not Kyoji. In 500 years things had progressed a lot, not just in terms of technology and civilization, but also in terms of warfare. Ann would soon find out just how durable people from this day and age were, and just how hundreds of years of constant warfare during the warring states period of the continent had molded the clans which nowadays composed Kiri into groups of hardened soldiers and very effective killing machines.

And so no sooner than she turned around to see Kyoji firing a wave of water towards her, did the wave connect against her steel skin and push her back with the blunt force of a flowing river. It was one thing to brace against the frontal impact of a blade, it was another completely different thing to turn around and suddenly have a wave in your face before being able to get a proper footing. Ann was pushed back and while her skin wasn't punctured she felt the impact of the wave and the impact of the floor as she landed on her back and was carried away a few meters by the water.

Being a resilient girl however, she stood up. And as soon as she did, large chunks of metal began protruding from her back, arms , legs and sides. She was suddenly covered in blades, which could extend as far as 1 meter beyond her skin. She wasn't done with close combat yet and would chase Kyoji to the end of times.

She immediately charged at him, intending to tackle with all the blades.

Kyoji watched as his linear wave of water smashed into the Yuki Jounin. After noticing that the woman had steel skin, he knew she'd be able to take that hit. However it did send her sailing backwards and crashing into the ground. Kyoji quickly made another series of handsigns as the Snow Jounin was getting back up. Dazed, she shook it off, and began to prepare another technique. Close quarter combat was out of the question, for a person who doesn't fear being hit. There was a way to fight such skilled fighters.

The Yuki began to grow steel spikes from her entire body, protecting her in a great fashion. Yup. Definitely not getting near that. But she began to charge at him with a fierce expression. Right into Kyoji's trap, as she stepped a few meters on the water and got within 15 meters of Kyoji. The shark man thrust his right hand forward. Water burst from under Ann's feet, a large volume of water spanning about twenty meters rose around her till the very edge of the shore. Similar to the Water Prison jutsu however on a much larger scale. Ann would not be able to see this attack coming.

The water would throw her upwards in the air from the force alone, but he would control the water to completely surround her body except her head. Giving her room to breath, but would be completely bound. The force of the water would be constricting, the water pulling her arms outwards and her feet as well. Kyoji was able to spare a glance at Zi fighting Arisu and it was picking up.

Zi was on the offense, got the wind knocked out her. The Chuunin was already preparing another technique. He inhaled and skipped backwards as he made three handsigns, gaining only a few meters of space. Arisu got back to her feet and made a handsign, creating many clones with a hazy affect. Zi was familiar with the technique and it would matter not. As Arisu tried to prepare the clones and herself to charge Zi. He inhaled and let out the air in a seven small blasts of air pressure. However they covered an expansive range, and since the Ann had charged Kyoji on top of the water. He could spread the attack out in front of him so they became increasingly hard to avoid. Although he dialed the power down to C-rank so that the blasts would not pierce her but enough power to knock her down and make her stay down.

Kyoji's attack was successful. The water swarmed around the Jounin and immediately began to restrain her. The orb of water was lifted into the air. There was nothing that she could do at the moment because of the pressure of the convergence. He only held her there for few seconds before he let the jutsu go and freed Ann. He could have done more but it was supposed to be about. Although he did receive a little slash on his shoulder, it wasn't a fight till blood was spilled. She would drop onto the water, and it would be up to her to get back on her feet as she was still on the sandy ground and not fully submerged.

Arisu was blasted again with Zi's attack. Her clones would disappear as she was knocked backwards onto her back. Zi and Kyoji were victorious. "We should do this again. When you guys are ready." Kyoji said as he walked off with Zi who nodded to their general direction.

There really wasn't anything that Arisu could do against Zi. She didn't currently have an element, or a lot of techniques. She wasn't particularly fast or good at closing gaps. In short, the match up was a horrible one as it was, and since he refused to engage her in light melee combat, she was more or less out matched completely.

His wind attack blasted her backwards once more, except this time she just stayed down, holding her stomach in pain as she waited for it to subside. If he didn't want to fight her in a light spar, and instead wanted to pelt her with jutsu when she obviously wasn't a big combatant, then she just wasn't going to fight him.

She'd wait for Ann to finish, and hope that she was much more willing to take things at a slower pace so that Arisu could actually gain something from the spar. When Kyoji said they should do it again when they were ready, Arisu spat in his direction. "Maybe learn how to spar so that your opponent actually gets something from it. It's fine for you and her, who are Jounin level to go hard, but I'm not a particularly combat oriented genin. I don't learn much by being slammed by ninjutsu that I can't even react to."

She wasn't very thrilled with the way they had simply shown up, and decided to butt into the conversation in the first place, but it felt like the two of them had really only come to flex and show off a bit. They should have left that to a tournament, not a learning experience. Arisu already knew she wasn't combat ready, she didn't need a lesson to drive that point home. The whole point of a spar was to help her actually get combat ready.

It seemed like Ann was just about as done with sparring for the moment as she was. Arisu took that as her cue to leave the area, although before she did so, she turned to the Jounin she had originally started off the spar with. "I wouldn't mind sparring against you again at some point. I'm done for today though, so I'm going to leave for now. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Bowing to her superior, Arisu began to make her way home. She had let the situation really get to her, and boil her blood in an uncharacteristic way. Throwing a small tantrum wasn't exactly befitting of a woman of her status. Granted, nobody new that she was of divine status, but she did, and that was enough for her to reprimand herself for letting the subhuman fish and his boy get on her nerves.

It was more that they had actually impeded her attempts to unlock her true potential though, which was a waste of her time in the long run. As a member of the village, they should have been helping rather than flexing and showing off. One of these days, Zi and Kyoji would regret crossing her path, if only minorly. She wasn't about to hold a grudge with blood lust, but she would certainly be sure to show her full potential for power against them one day.

After the spar sent wrong, ann also went home. There was a lot to learn from this fight and in time she would gain a lot from these mistakes. she was only sorry she hadn't been able to give more to these people, as they were the ones who accepted her in the village. She ended up deciding that she needed to improve before she could aspire to be worthy enough to stand among Kirigakure no Sato ranks and defend the village properly. This meant she had to train more, and train harder. but she'd rather do it alone instead of with company this time. Ann wouldn't waste anyone else's time until she was strong enough to be considered a sparring partner to others. She stood up after everyone had left, and abandoned the training grounds. She would go home to take a hot bath and recover from the match. While her body was quite resilient in combat, she still felt bits of pain here and there and from time to time she needed to recover.

Her house wasn't that far away from the training grounds and soon she'd be home resting for the remaining of the day.
