    Appearance:
    Tenchi Utzuki OEoaSSf
The son of a blacksmith, Tenchi’s most notable characteristic is his build. At the age of fifteen, Tenchi is built like a man twice his age. His arms tell the tale of someone who spends his time aiding his father in the forge as often as he can.
Medium length black hair and blue eyes accentuate a face that usually looks to sport a expression of saddened amusement.
Tenchi wears a white sleeveless shirt with a red collar over a black sleeveless shirt, blue pants tucked into flared knee-high leather boots and two black belts over his hips. He wears a holster on his belt over his back left pocket.

    History:
Tenchi was born to a family of blacksmiths in the city of Konoha as the third oldest child of four. His father, Kendo, and Mother, Hime, had two older children, Den and Ito, both of whom are five and four years older than Tenchi. Their youngest child, Sato, was born ten years after Tenchi himself. His older brother, Den, is a journeyman blacksmith training to take over the forge after their father is too old to continue working. His older sister Ito is part of the ninja community of Konoha.

At the age of three, Tenchi’s family moved into the town of Konohagakure, the newest shinobi village at the time, in a bid to widen his father’s range of business. Learning his father and brother’s trade at their hips, Tenchi quickly grew strong enough to help alongside them. His body developed a strength that most children his age, and even some adults, wouldn’t imagine possessing. His life revolved around one day becoming a master smith in his own right, until the day his sister joined the ninja ranks and opened his eyes to a new path. That they were distantly related to a number of families wishing the ninja community wasn’t a secret; it was simply something Kendo and Hime never spoke of. Their branch of the clan was always a minor one, and their role in any wars their clan took part of was as support more than soldiering.

Though some days it was about as exciting as watching paint dry, the Utzuki family was never filled with discontent. Besides, they were one of the businesses that supplied the Leaf ninjas with their weapons and equipment. So they were still, in a way, a part of the community. Many smiths were part of the business deal with the ninjas, and the Utzuki family took pride in knowing their products were considered quality worthy of use by this elite force.

With Ito joining their ranks, to Tenchi it was no longer enough to simply provide ninjas with new kunai and knives and swords. The idea of becoming a ninja wormed it’s way into his dreams, and so he began to divide his time between working at the forge and training in the few things his sister deemed acceptable for him to learn. She taught him how to fight, though taught him no other justu techniques; unwilling to train him in things a civilian would not need to know if he wasn’t going to be fully committed.

When the time came, Tenchi decided to follow his sister’s path, planning on one day becoming a field smith for the ninja community. Now a Genin, Tenchi embarks on his journey to mesh together the two professions of his family.

    Personality:
Tenchi is a kid who takes pride both in his family and clan; and what he does as an apprentice blacksmith and Genin. Smart enough to keep up when being taught a skill or technique, Tenchi still lacks the level of intelligence to be considered a leader or strategist.
His personal style of being a ninja is more physical than many others in the community, relying on his strength to overcome obstacles and situations more so than his other Jutsu techniques. It isn’t that he is unable to use the others, he simply prefers Taijutsu as it leans into his strengths.
Tenchi is generally laid back when dealing with everyday life; and though he isn’t considered a serious person, he does know the difference between time to play and time to work. He is to anger, but also slow to forgive.
Family is everything in the eyes of this Utzuki. Though their connections are distant and minimal, he considers all his cousins, including the Uzumakis, as close kin and finds it hard to side against them.

    Roleplay Sample:

    Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of the hammer falling sent a shiver up Tenchi’s spine. It was him this time. His father had given him a blade to work on alone. He was the one doing it! He was fixing a weapon! Tenchi soared a glance around and saw neither his brother nor father keeping an eye on him. Neither was interfering with his work. It was exhilarating to the young Genin.

    Clang! Clang! Clang!

The Kunai had been broken in a field excercise, and his father trusted him to melt the metal down and recast it in the correct mold to make a blank. He’d done well there, as he’d lost nine of the liquid iron in the casting. Now he was taking his hammer and shaping the weapon to its proper shape before taking the whetstone to its edges. After that, the polishing. And it was all him. He was being treated like a true smith in his own right!

    Clang! Clang! Clang!

All he had to do now was finish the-

    ”Tenchi, you’re done.”

“What? No, no I’m doing my best, father, I swear!”

”No, no I mean you’re done for the day. You have training in less than an hour. Go get cleaned up and ready to leave.”

As his father left back to his work, Tenchi calmed himself, his misunderstanding fading as his excitement mounted. Yes, he was getting better as a smith’s assistant, but he was also part of an elite community, and he was going to prove to himself and his sister that he was going to be great.

Tenchi cleaned his arms up to his elbows, threw off his apron, and pulled his shirt back on over his head. Calling a farewell over his shoulder, Tenchi ran for the training grounds; eager to be there even before his sensei this time.
