Description: A defensive technique, the user briefly pierces their weapon into the ground before 'shovelling' up a heap of sand, earth, water, snow or other underground. Infused by chakra flowing through the weapon, the chakra-enriched underground creates a 5 meter wide protective curtain of soil in front of the user which clashes with an incoming technique of C-rank or lower power and renders it void.

Description: This technique simply imbues a weapon or armour with an element known by the user. It grants no other benefits than turning the equipment into the element of choice, meaning it interacts with other elements accordingly to its granted elemental advantage and disadvantage.
Visual cues aside (lightning spark, frosty mist...), weapon damage inflicted by the weapon follows the element as well (fire/lightning burns, ice frostbites...) but remains dependent on the user's strength vs constitution as normal for its efficiency.
Weaknesses: Chakra Flow requires some sort of medium to be channelled into. Only one element can be channelled at a time, and changing the element requires the user to pay the activation cost again.
