Getting down to business [Solo | Training] Empty Getting down to business [Solo | Training]

Post by Yumi Mon Oct 22, 2018 10:03 pm

Yumi hummed a tune as he carried a large backpack over his shoulder. The medic was dressed in his usual attire, a long flowery yukata with matching obi sash. The medic was heading out to work on a few new sealing techniques and develop some seals of his own to be used later in battle. The sealing practitioner had packed up all of their sealing equipment into the backpack, with the necessary tools to make the seals he wanted. Yumi planned to add a few new seals to his body, two to ensure protection and two to help with the trap's movement speed for escaping serious situations. Yumi had brought a chisel along to engrave a new seal Yumi had been working on into six copper rings the medic had forged earlier. In the backpack was also a number of items to engrave seals on.

The medic arrived at the training fields and set the heavy backpack down and began unpacking items onto a wide wooden stump. Sitting down onto his knees the medic began to get ready. The first was to train a new sealing technique. The seal was a modified version of the storage seal, designed to seal a large number of one item, but the item had to be small, like a kunai, shuriken or sealing paper. The lesser mass storage formation, able to seal a total of thirty of one item. Taking out his sealing chisel, the medic grabbed out six copper rings and laid them onto the wooden stump.

Carefully, Yumi started to engrave the modified storage seal onto the area of the copper ring. There wasn't a lot of space on the ring, but just enough to place a single seal onto the ring. The sealing practitioner hummed a little as he focused on his work, developing on the seal. After ten minutes the seal had been crafted, adding a little bit of chakra to it the seal activated on the ring.

Once the first seal was made, Yumi began the process of making the next five. Each seal took roughly ten minutes to make, due to the smalle size of the ring, meaning, Yumi had to be patient, taking his time to make sure not to make a mistake and ruin the seal. Yumi didn't want to waste the seal or the ring.

The medic gave a sigh of relief, but his reserves were running low having used one-third of them. Once all six seals had been applied the medic began to slide them onto his slim fingers, three on each hand, ring, middle and index finger. Once the rings were in place, Yumi removed a scroll from his backpack and unrolled it, on the scroll was a list of Fuuinjutsu, Genjutsu and Ijutsu for Yumi to study and learn. With Yumi's level of mastery, he could learn B rank techniques, but also A rank techniques for both Fuuinjutsu, Ijutsu and Genjutsu.

The first two were the Five Elements Seal and Five Elements Unseal techniques. Licking his lips Yumi began to study the technique and directions for the sealing technique. The first of the two seals was designed to seal of someone's chakra and could even be used on Jinchuuriki to cut off their connection to a bijuu, while the second was used to release the seal freeing chakra up. Yumi didn't know if he would ever come across a Jinchuuriki, but the five elements seal would still be useful especially when dealing with enemy shinobi. If Yumi couldn't get a chance to apply the seal, it would effectively disable them. The Five Elements Seal could also be used on prisoners to ensure they couldn't fight back.

The seal did have its weakness though, as those with it could still use Taijutsu, Kenjutsu and similar techniques that didn't require the use of chakra. Against those who were chakra heavy in their fighting style it would effectively put a stop to them. The sealing practitioner began to study the ins and out to the Five Element Seal. The Five Elements Seal involved the use of channelling chakra into his fingertips and planting it onto the enemy, using physical contact to transfer the seal onto flesh. Yumi clicked his tongue thinking over the use of the sealing technique. Giving a hum, Yumi rolled the sealing technique up and began to think over the unsealing technique.

The unsealing version was just as simple as it involved physical contact and shoving fingers into flesh. On impact, the seal would be broken down and released allowing access to chakra once more. The issue was both techniques caused a little bit of pain. Having an understanding of the two techniques the medic began to think what to do next. Yumi could either continue to study the various techniques in the scroll or work on producing some new seals to be stored into the copper rings. Yumi had brought a large number of paper sealing tags to make some C rank explosive seals to be stored into the rings, as the lesser seal only worked on C rank and below. In the backpack was twenty bronze spheres for Yumi to craft a shrapnel seal onto.

Mulling over the Medic unrolled the training scroll looking over the techniques he had brought. In the scroll was seven different techniques, Chakra Enhanced Strength, Mystical Palm, Poison Mist, Chakra Scalpel, Self-Cursing Seal, Bringer of Darkness and Temple of Nirvana. All of them were B or higher techniques with the exception of Chakra Scalpel which was both a C and B rank technique.

If Yumi could learn and mastery each of them it would significantly increase his power and abilities in battle. The chakra enhanced strength could make up for Yumi's lack of strength, poison mist would allow him to employ the various types of poisons he knew in battle without actually having them. As for the others, it would give him a more diverse arsenal. Yumi licked his laps as he rolled the training scroll back up and placed it down on the stump beside all of his sealing equipment. To train new techniques or work on some current seals first. Yumi supposed it would be best to work on his protection, so seal crafting it was.

The medic grabbed a pot of sealing ink and a brush, taking a piece of sealing paper from a large stack of two hundred. Dipping the brush into ink and wiping the excess onto the rim, began to draw it onto the paper. The lesser reinforce armour was a seal that was made by engraving five key kanji of 'reinforce', 'strengthen', 'durable', 'armour' and 'harden'. Once the seal had been drawn, Yumi slipped open the front of their Yukata, exposing their flat pale white chest. The medic placed the tag to the right of their chest and channelled chakra into it. The black ink glowed red as it burned into flesh engraving onto flesh. The medic repeated the process using two paper tags to place two armour tags onto his chest one on each side of his chest. After the medic fixed his Yukata back into place.

Raising a pair of fingers, Yumi channelled chakra into the tips and jabbed into the Dadu pressure point over his spleen. Chakra flowed into the pressure point and jump-started the process of high-speed chakra recovery for the medic. yumi wasn't done as he struck the same point again, activating two stamina recovery techniques to work in tandem.

Giving time for his chakra reserves to recover Yumi pulled out the jutsu scroll in order to practice some of the techniques. The first on the list was the chakra enhanced strength. Standing up, Yumi walked over to a nearby training post, and read the theory behind the technique. Using his precise chakra control, the medic began to channel it into his right hand. Yumi compressed the chakra taking a deep breath before punching forward, striking the centre of the post, releasing the chakra on impact. Yumi wasn't strong, but on the impact a large crack appeared in the post. The crack spread out from the impact, as Yumi channelled chakra into his left fist and struck out with a second punch. The fist hit the original point of impact creating bigger cracks.

Taking a deep breath, Yumi kneaded chakra inside of his body, focusing it. The chakra began to change its form, turning into a chemical substance. The medic then expelled from his lips a thick purple cloud of poison that expanded out over a large area. As Yumi channelled more chakra the cloud continued to expand. The poison yumi had decided to use was Toxin S one of his earlier ones. Yumi watched as the poison engulfed the wooden post before slowly dissolving into thin air as the poison vanished from sight. The Poison Mist would be a great asset for Yumi, as every poison, he had ever made he knew inside and out. WIth the Poison Mist any gas based poison could be used within an instant, even the Ambrosia as it could take a gas-based form.

Yumi dug into the backpack, pulling out a bottle of tea, the tea was light blue in a small flask. A chill wafted out from the flask as Yumi placed it onto the stump. It was a flask of Winter Lotus Ice Tea a C rank medicine for recovering chakra. The medic had his assistant Shizuru craft it earlier that day using the chemistry station, spending twenty thousand for materials, leaving him with only seventy something thousand ryo left. The rest Yumi removed from the bag and sealed into the right index ring. Yumi needed to start working on some missions to earn more funds. If he didn't earn extra cash and kept spending like he was, chances are he would run out of money. The medic sighed as he took out a sealing brush and two pieces of sealing paper.  The medic was intending to craft a pair of lesser agility boost seals. The chemist planned to put the seals onto the back of his legs, the calf muscles. The seals were a last resort, that could be used to increase Yumi's speed up to B or forty-five metres per second. Of course without a high constitution, they couldn't be used in succession without destroying their body. With yumi's body, he could only use it once, but with his medical techniques it could make up for the damage.

With a flick of his brush, Yumi completed the two seals which used the five key kanji 'Swift', 'Stride', 'Dash', 'Speed' and 'Agility' in their design. Lifting the Yukata around his slim white legs, the medic applied the two seals to the back of his legs and applied chakra. The ink glowed red as it engraved onto flesh, glowing ever so slightly before fading out leaving the two sealing arrays. Taking out a sealing pen, Yumi slid up his right yukata sleeve and began drawing a new storage seal. The new seal was placed onto the back of his right hand, once finished chakra was channelled into the seal, allowing the ink to dry and apply to his flesh. Taking the pen into his right hand the Genin began drawing a second storage seal onto the back of his left hand, making full use of his available space. In total Yumi had nine storage seals on his flesh. Four on each arm and one under his tongue.

Putting the ink pen down, Yumi picked up a brush and twelve pieces of sealing paper, all to make twelve B rank explosion seals. Making the seal was easy and didn't use a lot of chakra, as it was just a seal without use until Yumi channelled the appropriate chakra into it. taking the brush, Yumi began to draw up each seal, taking five minutes. The explosion seal was simple and not overly complex in its design, needing less time than other seals to be made. Within an hour, Yumi had drawn up twelve complete B rank explosion seals and proceeded to seal them into each of the seals on the back of his hands, six per storage seal.

Picking up the medicine from early, Yumi popped the lid and downed it in one go, he would need it as his chakra reserves were getting dangerously low from all the seal crafting. Taking a break, Yumi reopened the jutsu scroll to take a look at more techniques to learn, having already learned two of them. The two he was looking at the bringer of darkness and temple of nirvana. He didn't need to practice them on someone, only needing to know the theory behind them. the Bringer of Darkness used a simple Tiger seal and is triggered by the opponent looking at the user's body. Once triggered, this technique exerts a hallucinatory effect upon the eyesight, effectively blinding the opponent. Although it negates sight, it does not stop the other senses.

The Temple of Nirvana also used the tiger seal and was a powerful genjutsu that generates a fluttering rain of sleep-inducing, illusory white feathers. Whoever sees them as they fall, piling up and covering the whole target area, will experience Eden-like bliss and fall into a state of tranquil slumber. No matter how much one resists the hypnotic spell, the desire to sleep is instinctive, and there's no fighting it.  Reading over the theory, Yumi formed the tiger seal and visualised in his mind the use of each technique to use them. The medic sat in a pose for over an hour, before he believed he had a thorough understanding of the two genjutsu.

The medic opened his eyes and stood up, stretching his limbs from the long period of time he had been sitting down. A wave of chakra coursed through his veins, showing the medicine would soon take effect.

Yumi released a breath as he grabbed a sealing brush and began to draw new seals. What Yumi wanted to draw up was some more explosion seals and some shrapnel seals. With how much chakra he had left, and what he would earn when the medicine kicked in again, he only had enough to make twenty explosive seals and four shrapnel seals. Once the medicine kicked in he could then seal them up into the seals on his rings, on the right hand. The left side rings would be left spare for later. Dipping the brush into the ink, Yumi began inscribing the explosive seal onto a piece of sealing paper, a five by five paper tag. Ink ran along the paper as Yumi slowly and steadily drew up the seal. Twenty explosive tags may be excessive, but Yumi didn't care as he wanted to be prepared for anything.

With a flick of his wrist, the first seal was completed within a minute. This tag was simple and after drawing twelve explosive seals earlier, he had cut the time down to draw this particular seal. Within twenty minutes the medic had finished drawing the first twenty sealing tags, twenty C rank explosive seals. With each seal, Yumi channelled a small amount of chakra into the ink drying it into the paper completing the process. Stacking them on top of each other, Yumi set them to the side and removed four bronze spheres from the backpack and the sealing chisel. Holding the sphere in one hand and the chisel in the other, Yumi began engraving it.

The Shrapnel seal was one that used three key kanji 'Shrapnel', 'Detonate' and 'Explode' at its centre in a triangle formation. Around these three kanji are four more 'Pierce', 'Shred', 'Sharpen' and 'Break'. These four are placed around the first three like a square, trapping them in. Once it was engraved, Yumi channelled chakra into it, setting the seal in place. Afterwards, he started engraving into the next three bronze spheres.

Setting the items down, Yumi stood up stretching his limbs again. His reserves were getting low, so for the moment he would think over the theory and practise three techniques in his mind. Stretching his limbs the medic sat down in a meditation pose. Taking a deep breath the medic pictured the use of the Chakra Scalpel in his head. With his current level, Yumi could only learn the C Rank Chakra Scalpel but it would be plenty. The Scalpel technique used five handseals and could be used for surgery and battle. Chakra would form around ones hand as a sharp blade. Yumi visualised the technique in his mind as a method to train. Once he was confident the medic performed the necessary handseals and watched as a thin chakra blade formed around his hand. Over the next hour, Yumi also practised the Mystical Palm Technique and Self-Cursing Seal.

Standing up he walked back over to his sealing supplies, getting ready to seal them up, pack up and leave for the day.

Yumi started packing everything up, with the exception of the bronze spheres and explosion seals. Yumi placed a lid onto the ink pot, screwing it on tight while cleaning off his ink brush and ink pen making sure they were cleaned properly before putting them away into the backpack. Once they were packed up, Yumi placed in the large stack of paper sealing tags, packing into the jutsu training scroll he had. Once those items were packed up, he grabbed the twenty stack of explosion seals and put them into the ring on his right middle finger. After that, he grabbed the four bronze spheres and placed them into the copper ring on his right ring finger. Once all the items were sealed up, Yumi threw the bag over his shoulder.

The medics chakra reserves were incredibly low and he was looking forward to heading home to rest. The medic departed as he left the training fields heading home for the evening.
