Fujio sit outside the academy as he waited for the teacher chuunin to arrive in order to inform him of his duties to be carried out today. It was not that he did not already know what lay in store as the mission was quite frank and blunt in detail upon request. Simple of a mission as it may be the genin’s heart raced inside his chest and inner nerves seemed to be creating butterflies deep within the pit of his stomach. After all this was his first guardian mission.
The chuunin advisor approached the front of the academy as Fujio quickly stood erect and firm. He did not allow his back to arch in the least as he tried to present himself as serious as possible. First impressions were always something to be upheld with the highest regard… or at least he thought so. Drawing in closer the chuunin spoke in a rather dull and tired tone, “I’m sure you know what your job is.” Fujio quickly nodded to single he had been briefed, “So I don’t feel the need to give some sort of lecture. I have to do enough of that in one day as it is. Just keep the place in shape that’s all. It’s a simple task even a civilian could do so a ninja should have no issues….” The chuunin then brushed by Fujio as he made his way up the steps towards the academy front entrance stopping briefly to mutter some last words,”… and relax some. Jeez this isn’t some grand amazing life changing job.” Before, shaking his head and sighing as he entered the building.
Fujio simply smiled in reply to all the words he was told leading to him giving the adviser a thumbs up in response to his last words. “I’ll undoubtedly try my best sir.” Even if the mission was not of great importance to the functioning of the village as a whole it held a special place in the boy’s heart. This was his first actual job as a Shinobi. The time had finally come for him to show his worth among the village. At long last he would be able to play a role in the scheme of life as a Shinobi of Kumogakure.
His dreams were turning to reality, and fate was guiding him towards future paths. Starting small was no discomfort to him. Instead the boy took pride in the job to come. His first guard mission was underway. Time to work hard and prove that Fujio Abriu was not just some outsider, mountain side, farm boy, but was worth his weight in gold at contributing to his village this is where his legacy would start on these very grounds, this very day.
