    Mission:

Kazumi walked through the village market, her head turning left and right as if looking for someone as she weaved through the crowd of people. Shouldn't be too hard to spot, she thought. An elderly man with too much to carry. It wasn't long until she found him, a man who had to somewhere around his 80's or 90's, hunched over and leaning on a cane. Though beside him were his groceries, what looked like enough food to feed a family for an entire month, all stacked on to a wooden pallet. Well, that was certainly Mr. Komura, the Yuki thought to herself, she just didn't expect that an old man would have that much to take home. Maybe she should come to expect the worst when missions gave vague details...

She approached the man, giving him a faint smile before speaking with a soft tone. "Mr. Komura?" she'd ask, looking for confirmation. The older man turned towards the short girl, leaning in slightly closer than his hunched posture already had him doing to get a closer look at the kunoichi.

"Oh! Are you the one they said was gonna help me?" He asked with a raspy and dry voice, a hint of excitement in his tone nonetheless. Kazumi simply gave a nod in response before giving the pallet a look over. How in the world was she supposed to bring all of this to his home? Why in the world did Mr. Komura need all this food? She circled the pallet for a few seconds before seeing a rope tied to opposite ends that one could use to drag or pull it with. The girl pursed one corner of her lips as if in thought. She didn't seem to have much of a choice, either she dragged it all the way to Mr. Komura's house or she picked them and carried them without the pallet.

The kunoichi stepped just in front of the pallet, picking up the rope and proceeding to strenuously push forward, dragging the pallet of groceries with her at the pace of a snail. She clenched and gritted her teeth as she moved, Mr. Komura slowly following by her side. As the two made their way through the market and towards the residential district, Kazumi began to get the feeling that while Mr. Komura put out this mission for the help, he might've also just wanted someone to be around as he talked the young girl's ear off as they move through the general public.

"So what made you wanna be a ninja anyway?"

The girl looked back at the elderly man with an expression that hinted confusion. Seemed like a strange question to ask suddenly, but she supposed some conversation couldn't hurt if they were gonna have a ways to go before they were home. She paused for a moment to think about her response, thankful for the chance to take her mind off of the physical labor.

"My dad wanted me to, and I just like to help people," she replied simply.

"That's as good of a reason as any, a couple of my grandsons came outta the academy just a few months ago. They keep comin' home, saying they wished they could be doing more important things. They wanna forget about the little people, to get wrapped up in their own little world and ignore us-"

Mr. Komura didn't seem particularly interested in a normal back and forth conversation, and was much more content with an excuse to go on a rant. Kazumi didn't mind too much, the way he spoke didn't feel like it came from a place of contempt. Rather, it felt like he just wanted someone to talk to if anything. Admittedly, it was nice. She felt like she was back home, talking with her own grandpa to pass the afternoon.

Eventually, they made it to Mr. Komura's home, where his rant wouldn't cease. He kept going as Kazumi took the time to bring his groceries into his home and even sort them. It wasn't until the girl interrupted him that he'd stop.

"That should be everything, Mr. Komura."

The man's eyes widened in a moment of realization as he looked back towards the pallet that the kunoichi had pulled from the shop and through the streets, only now seeming to notice that she had taken everything off of it.

"So it seems! Thank you deary, you be sure to have a good day now." He'd say, the two exchanging nods before Mr. Komura would walk into his home while Kazumi went to report the completion of her mission.
