Stocking up

Toonami swaggered into the place where Kiri ninja bought stuff. She gestured to the front counter and the wall lined with all sorts of weapons and tools.

"Get whatever gear you need. I'm buying."

Toonami would twirl one of her ultra long braids in the air in circles while Haruko got her stuff.

Following behind the lanky woman was no easy task for the much shorter Genin. Nearly jogging to keep pace with the Mizukage's gait Haruko quickly recognized where they were heading to. She had spent more than her fair share looking around the place before but had never really had the money to buy anything. As they stopped in front of the counter, wistful eyes scanned over weapons. She enjoyed merely window shopping though, that was, until Toonami said she could buy whatever and that she was paying.

If a jaw had ever hit the floor out of surprise this as that moment. "S-seriously?" She asked in amazement. After it had been determined that this wasn't a joke and was, in fact, actually happening, she couldn't contain her excitement. Hopping between this and that she picked out a few things, looked at a few things, thought about a few things, the whole works before she piled her wants on to the counter. Turning to look if the purchase was okay, she waited for this to turn as drastically as the conversation had previously. She grabbed an incomplete set of armor, the chest and torso parts left out. She would like to keep some amount of maneuverability as a swordsman intact.

"Ya" Toonami said and chuckled as Haruko hopped around picking out things like a kid in a candy store. Toonami grinned and nodded anytime Haruko would look back towards her for approval. The woman was pretty cold hearted. She didn't go out of her way to be cruel but her recklessness and disregard for the safety and well being of others often led to her making callous and violent decisions. Yet somehow she found it adorable and endearing at how happy Haruko was to receive a set of weapons to call her own. Toonami never had the same oppurtunity. Anything she had was earned through blood, sweat, and tears either from her or her sister. Often both. When Haruko was finished picking out everything she wanted, Toonami paid for it with the Twin's joint account. She would allow Haruko to get fitted and equipped with her new weapons and armour before waving the girl over and having her follow to their first mission point.

It was more than the Genin could have ever hoped for. She wanted desperately to bow in gratitude but after what had happened last time she did something like that she decided against it. Instead she smiled widely as she was fitted for her armor and pouches and whatnot. Once all of that was done she looked over herself, completely awestruck at it all. She was waved over and with the haste only excitement could bring, dashed to the Mizukage's side. "Thank you so much, Toonami-sensei. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!" She said happily, holding out a fist to bump as the taller woman had demonstrated before. Assuming that it went through and she wasn't left hanging, she followed Toonami out of the store and into the world of missions.
