Character Personality: Kyoka is a loud and boisterous girl, but this is often just to hide a deep insecurity- her height. She will often mistake any sort of phrasing that could be used to describe something being vertically challenged. "Oh no, I'm a few ryo short," said someone, immediately ticking off Kyoka's short fuse. Despite this, her fondness for her friends can run incredibly deep.
Character History: Young Kyoka comes from an unremarkable pedigree- a single father, widowed after her non-shinobi-Uzumaki mother died in childbirth, who caught fish for the markets of small town of which you've never heard. She grew up bored, always wanting to get out of there and do something beyond hauling seafood. Life on the boats, while not doing much for her skill, certainly did wonders for her body- almost inhumanly so. This became her saving grace, catching the eye of a wandering shinobi who approached her about relocating to Kirigakure and training to become one herself
. She did so without hesitation. She struggled through Ninjutsu and Genjutsu training, but she excelled in Taijutsu despite lacking any kind of finesse. Special exceptions were made, given how exceptional she was, and so she became a genin.
