Anzo, thankfully, can apparently hold his liquor a bit better than Hanabi, but not by much. He's still a bit giggly and unsteady, and so is Hanabi, but he's still able to help her walk without falling over himself. They'd just finished sharing quite a few drinks, and with their new friend Midori, after both himself and Hanabi had been promoted to the rank of Chuunin. He'd originally suggested they travel together to get to her home in the Hyuuga compound, but now that they were somewhat stumbling and actually trying to get there, the Aburame suddenly isn't so sure about trying to get her all the way there, with both of them having drunk their fill. Finally, he voices his concerns to Hanabi, since his own home was much closer anyway.
"Hey, hey wait a sec- Hanabi, the Hyuuga compound is... It's almost all the way across Konoha! We won't make it there in this... state. Muh- hic my place is a lot closer, y'know? We'll just crash there and I'll take you back home in th- hic the mornin'."
Even Anzo wasn't drunk enough at the moment to admit that he also wanted to spend a lot more time with Hanabi - ever since she'd become more attached to Peragus, he'd seen her less and less, and they hadn't even gone out on missions together in months. Seeing her tonight, even before they'd started drinking, he'd nearly been floored by her beauty, and the more intoxicating he became, the more intoxicating her attractiveness was for him. Perhaps the booze had loosened his inhibitions, or perhaps he was finally finding the courage to admit to himself, though silently and only in his head, that he really was attracted to her, despite being a member of the Uchiha clan and, somehow almost worse, married to a Hyuuga. Not that he'd ever say anything aloud about his disdain for most of the other members of the doujutsu clans - a disdain he was sure Hanabi also felt, to a greater extent for the Uchiha, considering what she'd revealed to him about her past.
In any case, he doesn't simply drag her off: he waits to hear what her response might be, hoping and yet also not hoping that she would agree to come to his home instead of having to go all the way to the Hyuuga compound. He had to admit, even though he found every part of her to be breathtaking, her very revealing clothing was also having some kind of an effect on him, though he was hoping that it wasn't showing, what with the proof of his reaction hidden under his long red coat. He knows she'd seen quite a bit of him a long time ago, when they'd seen each other in the hotsprings "accidentally", but now this situation was... different, somehow.
