Now that Kitsuki was back in the Mizukage's Office, she can attend to the job of running the village. The kunoichi had received reports that Seigi Chinoike was now the Raikage and that after his meeting with Sayuri he had declared a ceasefire between Kumogakure and Kirigakure. Unfortunately, that meant Konoha was left out in the cold. Outraged, Kit penned a letter to the supposedly reasonable Raikage and explained her village's position in terms that Sayuri might not have made clear to him. She'd need to have words with the blonde about that later. The letter read as follows:
- Spoiler:
Nidaime Raikage,
I am writing this letter to you regarding the ceasefire you have declared between Kumo and Kiri. While I am pleased to hear that are willing to pause all hostilities between our nations, I am concerned that this ceasefire was written to explicitly exclude Konohagakure no Sato. I understand there may be residual hatred at play, but I must stress that any ceasefire must include all nations. Konoha has been cooperative in apprehending the terrorists responsible for Moonspire and with their help, I can confirm that Akihiro Uchiha and Ikomiki Ōtsutsuki have been captured. Given the Leaf's willingness to do the right thing, I must insist that you stop attacking them.
Should you refuse to extend the ceasefire to Konoha, Kiri will have no choice but to reject your offer of peace. It pains me to write this and although the spectre of war troubles me greatly, Kiri cannot break faith with Konoha after they have agreed to help us deliver justice to the people of Mooonspire. I know deep down you are a good man Seigi Chinoike. Our encounter in the Kanahshi Ocean during the Carmine Quarantine Crisis is proof of that. I am grateful for you saving my life.
It trust that in the aftermath of the Summit, all nations will look forward to the opportunity to heal and be at peace.
Sincerely,
Princess Kitsuki Kurahasa
