Konohagakure Mentorship Program

The Konohagakure Mentorship Program is the formal squad system of the village. The program was implemented by Nanadaime Hokage Nyguyen Uchiha with the intention of fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and military efficiency. It provides robust incentives for Jounin who take students under their wing and encourages genin to work with their others to accomplish their goals.

A squad can be led by a Jounin or Chuunin and can operate under any branch of the Konoha Military. A squad can have no more than 4 students to 1 sensei. Each squad will be assigned a Team Name, a Team Number, and must declare either a specialty or theater of operations.  

The program is overseen by the Jounin Commander.


In order to be eligible for their monthly salary, Jounin and Chuunin MUST participate in this program by taking at least ONE student. In turn, genin who wish to receive a monthly salary must likewise have a Jounin sensei.  

A Jounin or Chuunin who participates in this program will receive 30,000 Ryo base salary. A genin who participates in this program will receive 10,000 Ryo base salary.

Further participation will be awarded when shinobi train, work, and socialize as a squad. The Mentorship Program uses a point system to determine eligibility for special bonuses.

Training Thread = 1 Point
Social Thread = 1 Point
Mission Thread = 1 Point
War Mission Thread = 2 Points

These threads must be completed with the majority of the squad. So assuming a 4 person squad (1 Sensei and 3 Students) that's 3 out of 4. If a thread does not meet this minimum threshold then a waiver can be requested. The participants will explain the situation and if persuaded they will receive the requisite points.

To make your base salary, you should accumulate at least 2 points per month. Any shinobi who accumulates 5 points will receive a bonus of 20,000 Ryo for that month.

Once a shinobi has accumulated 20 Points they may apply for an Exclusive Jutsu. The Hokage will review the application in consultation with the Military Command Council and make a determination as to whether the shinobi should receive one.
