This is the initial stage of the Storm Release bloodline and it grants the ability to generate energy beams. The beams can be broad and flowing or fine and super focused like a laser. At this stage the user is limited to using and creating Storm Release techniques related to energy beams. These energy beams are often guided by the user or flowed through weapons. While this stage has excellent offensive and defensive capabilities, the user is restricted to energy beam based Ranton techniques.

    Unique Abilities
--Human Lightning Rod: With his natural alignment to the Storm, being his home away from home, the man is able to easily take advantage of his environment when under a storm cloud, able to reach to the havens and draw a bolt of Lightning from the storm itself to strike him. He has a couple options, one being to amp his Ranton jutsu. This results in a +1 tier to the power of Arashi’s Ranton based jutsu for 5 rounds, while weakening his Suiton by -1 tier. This comes at the cost of situation, requiring the presence of thunder clouds or storms in the area to be able to perform.

--Roaring Thunder: The second option presented by the Human Lightning Rod ability is to instead of using the natural lightning to amp jutsu, Arashi may instead trap some of its raw energy within his chakra network, converting it into chakra, giving him a small boost to his chakra levels. This restores 25% of the user's CP. Should the user fall under the effects of exhaustion, the penalty is doubled, suffering -- to Perception, Strength, Constitution, and Speed. This penalty happens regardless of other effects such as having A-tier Stamina, but only if the ability has been activated.

--Tiger's Fury: He is able to force himself to use more power throughout his body exerting more of his energy to amp his strength, but straining his muscles in the process. Gain an addition +1 tier to his Strength, at the cost of -1 tier to Constitution--as he is focusing on all out power, not keeping his guard up.

--Running Tiger: Arashi is able to exert extra effort into running, using more of his energy in order to force himself to be faster. Gain an additional +1 tier to his speed, at the cost of -1 Tier to Stamina--as he is using more energy to run faster then normal.

--One Handed Seals: A rare ability of those with a finer degree of control over their chakra, able to perform hand seals with only a single hand. Very useful for when using a weapon. This hand signs at -1 Tier Coordination, a little slower then when using both hands.

--Chakra Spending: Arashi’s natural attunement for his Ranton lets him conserve his chakra when using it, but with his lack of focus with water, it suffers. The user is able to perform Ranton jutsu at a tier less cost, while upping the cost of Suiton by a tier.

--Experience Advantage: Arashi has trained with his more skilled older brother from Yukigakure for years, his skills have grown considerably, a step above your average Genin--Arashi is nearly equal to a Chuunin in strength. Arashi starts with 900 extra spendable experience, but must pay back the debt before earning any more.

    Appearance
    Arashi Hayate 3tAIEnf

    --------------------------------

Arashi stands at 6” flat, and has a slightly muscular but lean build, muscle tone and definition without too much ‘swell’. His skin is very fair, spending years in areas that recieve little sunlight, he hasn’t had much time to tan.. His features are young, some having a hard time believing he is in his 20s. He has a number of piercing, notably his ears are pierced, and he also has snakebites--two lip rings. Although these can come out when he wants to be more formal, unable to tell he ever even had them as the holes seem to just disappear. His wild nature is shown with slightly longer canine teeth in the top row of pearly whites, noticeable when he smiles, or every now and then overlapping his lower lip. His hair is lengthy and wild, a vivid blue color, much akin to the hues seen in his Raiton and Ranton jutsu, while the man’s eyes are a deep, but bright Amber tint. He’s a rather handsome man, overall a blemish free face, shaped with care--only his nose is just a little large, but only noticeable if you really look at it--not sticking out as abnormal, only shy of ‘perfect’ size for his face upon detailed inspection.

His style can shift so drastically that it makes it hard to even stick one on him, although some things usually remain the same. Nearly any outfit he wears the man will wear a set of two matching thin silver necklaces, somewhat plain--but giving a nice shine. He almost always wears gloves lacking fingertips over his hands, metal plates over the back of the hand on his combat pair, the same space just open to his bare skin on his casual gloves. The man has a bit of ink, most notably a large back mural forever etched into his body in ink and blood, an image of a prowling tiger overlooking from atop a cliff, looking over the edge into the clouds--with a single vivid pop of color from the leafs of a branch reaching through the clouds. One arm is almost always wrapped from his shoulder all the way to his knuckles in bandages, covering a full sleeve of ink on the man’s right arm. This artwork is of an armored Samurai--Arashi having a high respect for Samurai--though their face was a skull. Bright red leafs adorn this tattoo, the sort of creepy bit is when you learn there was real blood mixed in the red ink used for them. Otherwise, he could be seen in many different outfits, from casual tee shirt and jeans, usually sort of a ‘punk’ style--too much more formal outfits, covering his tattoos and removing his lip rings and cleaning up nicely. A true master of all styles, at least with his own signature touch. He could be your everyday street thug, or the leader of a nation, based on how he wishes to dress that day.

    Personality
Arashi has what you could call a fluid personality, the smoothness of it and the shifts between emotions could only be described as water in motion. His charm is undeniable, speaking with a soft but polite tone at almost all times, a smooth silver tongue dripping with confidence. Arashi is very confident in himself, almost to the point some believe he has a huge ego, or even arrogant, but in reality he wields this confidence with a humble attitude. The young man is very flirty with woman, no fear to approach a beauty and introduce himself with a gentlemanly kiss to the back of their hand, smile--and a subtle wink. He knows he’s young and attractive and isn’t timid by any means. Arashi is very cheery and kind, extremely hard to upset or even offend, the man typically enjoying cracking jokes--both good, bad, witty, and cheesy--and has zero issue laughing at himself.

His politeness even extends to enemies, sans the worst of them. He faces battles wearing a smile and letting jokes slip, no ‘stoic switch’ for this man...Well, thats a lie, he does know how to get serous when needed. This isn’t to be confused though, he isn’t underestimating his enemies, nor is he not taking battles seriously. Arashi just doesn’t let much get to him, only the worst most foul people can earn a glare or dirty look from the man. Although, if he doesn’t like someone, he tends to give cold and blunt verbal jabs, delivered with the same polite smile as anything else he says. Some agree like the raw force of nature Arashi wields, he’s a wildcard, spontaneous and taking joy in a lot of lifes moments, be it with friends, or even on the battlefield. The fight itself can make him grin, as the storm flows through his veins, something like a close call usually amps him up to just fight harder, grinning ear to ear. The thrill of a fight and adrenaline rush seems to excite him almost a little too much, about the only ‘dark’ side to him--if you consider it one. Aside from when he gets a bit down thinking about his brother.

    History

Chapter 1 | Thunder Roars through the Valley
The one who'd be known as Arashi Hayate was born October 31st. 911, an early snow blanketing the ground as his first cries was heard. Arashi was born to a woman named Haruki Hayate, and her husband Hikotaka Hayate, the younger of two sons from the couple. Arashi had an older brother, Hyoketsu, who was 4 when Arashi was born. The child was raised in a village at the North-Western Edge of Kaminari no Kuni, a coastal village that would regularly send fishing boats out in the strait between Kaminari no Kuni and Yuki no Kuni, and even ran a ferry between the two neighboring Lands. He was only 5 when his parents split up, his father was a notorious cheater who would almost once a month be found messing around with the latest woman he could flirt his way into the bed of. Finally Haruki had enough, and gave up on Hikotaka for good, packing her things--and leaving for Yukigakure, taking Hyoketsu with her, and leaving Arashi with his father in the Land of Lightning.

Arashi, or 'Ara'. would spent a number of years of his childhood training under his father's teaching, the man may have been a cheater--but he knew how to fight, and was skilled with a blade. Arashi spent his formative years training with a sword, becoming more and more skilled with it. Hikotaka, or 'Taka' for short, would tell Ara tales from his years of missions, traveling the world, seeing other lands...seducing local woman. Ara seemed to pick up his flirty nature from his father, minus the disloyalty. When the young boy was about 9 he'd be out training alone in front of their home when Arashi noticed someone coming down the road towards their home. A bright smile went from ear to ear as the child could see his younger brother--whom he'd not seen in nearly half a decade at this point, ever since his mother and brother left for the Land of Snow. He ran up and almost tackled the taller young teen, who simply pat his younger bro on the head and smile.

Hyo would go ahead and stay the night there, catching up with his father and brother. Hyoketsu had become a Shinobi of The Land of Snow, who would eventually form their own Hidden Village, something that'd been happening across the nations over these years. The teen was strong, it amazed Ara to see his brother and father spar, something that'd happen a number of times over the week Hyo stayed with them. Once the week was over Hyoketsu would have to return to Yuki no Kuni. Arashi was sad to see him go...but had now gotten a new motivation to train harder, seeing his brother be so strong would push the boy. He wanted to train to be a Shinobi like Hyoketsu. Taka would be proud to see his sons both become strong...and would move them from the coast, too Kumogakure--the Hidden Village being a few years old at this point. Soon enough Arashi enrolled into the Academy, and having been trained by Hikotaka the child was quick to graduate within only a year.

Chapter 2 | Coming of Age
On Arashi's graduation day from the Academy, he was shocked to see his older brother waiting for him outside, a proud smirk crossing the older Hayate sibling's features at his brother becoming Genin. By now Arashi was 10, and Hyoketsu was 14--and a Chuunin, secretly an ANBU in training. Arashi was happy to see his brother again, and the two went out the celebrate that night. The following day Hyo pleaded his case to the Raikage themselves for permission to take Arashi with him for some time to train him further, wanting to aid his brother's growth. It took some pleases and cherries on top but it would be granted to them--and the two Hayate brothers set out back towards the coastal town they'd both been born in, to catch a boat across the strait and enter the Land of Snow.

For the next 4 years, with the occasional 'check in' with Kumogakure, Hyoketsu trained his brother further, the teen growing into a man, and the boy becoming a teen in these years. They both grew their strengths, and working together was easily able to take their father in any spars they had. Hyo was strong and Ara wished to be strong like Hyoketsu. In these years Ara would find his hidden power, something he had gotten from his father's blood, a natural feeling for Ranton--the power of a Storm in his hands. Hyoketsu had been using this nature for years, and was happy to see Arashi could also use the raw fury of a Storm within his hands.  He'd work to master the beginnings of his bloodline over these years spent in the Land of Snow, every day it seemed you could find the brothers training together, sans when Hyo was out on Missions--in which Arashi would just train by himself and hold down the homestead for his brother while he was away.

    Arashi Hayate UChw9QO

Arashi would finally return to Kumogakure at age 14, stronger then when he had left. He'd go through what he would've years before and was put to a team, finding himself put in as a replacement for a member who'd died in a Mission gone wrong. While they was still grieving, it was hard to Arashi to fit in and be accepted by his teammates, but with his considerable skills, he was eventually able to gain their respect, and the team would grow to become friends with each other over the next 2 years. The teen always approached everything with a smile, it was motivating for the two grieving Genin roughly his age. Their Sensei was hard on them, maybe it hadn't helped their process, as he simple doubled down on training them harder, and Arashi was just roped into it now. Still, it wasn't too bad, even with a hardass for a Sensei. Arashi smiled through it.

Arashi and his team, the teen now 16, found themselves behind enemy lines during a Mission, out of food and constantly dodging search parties who knew they was around. This was a sticky situation for the team, but with a good mind among them to help, the team would be able to avoid trouble...until they couldn't. The team found themselves trapped by the enemy, and their Sensei tried to take on a team of 4 Jounin by himself. Arashi tried to join the fight, launching beams of fluid-like Lightning into the fray, but a wind user among the enemy was able to repell his attacks with ease. Arashi and his teammates would be forced to watch helplessly as their Sensei fought, before finally he barked a single order to them. 'Run'. The two who'd been with their Sensei this whole time followed the orders and took off, but Arashi refused at first. He tried to help the Jounin, but was met with two Jounin facing him.

The Genin simply didn't stand a chance, luckily they felt merciful and didn't outright kill him, knocking the teen out and leaving him face first in the dirt. Hours later Arashi woke up...things was completely silent, only rumbles of thunder above heard. As he sat up, his eyes shifted over to something...a corpse. For the first time in Arashi's life...he couldn't smile it away, and was pushed to his emotional breaking point upon seeing the remains of his Sensei, half burried in the snow that had begun falling around them. Arashi was alone...his teammates had abandoned him and their teacher...Arashi woud live, but not the man who'd trained him for the past 2 years. This resulted in tears, the first time since his parents had split up over a decade before that Arashi was brought to tears over something. He was able to pull the older man's limp corpse up over his shoulder, and begun the long trek back to Kumogakure.

It took 3 days while slowed down by his fallen Sensei, but he'd make it back, and within days attend the man's funeral. Arashi stood at the back, no smile...no emotion but sorrow shown on his features, saddened eyes looking forward. He at first held resentment to his teammates, they had just ran away...they left the two of them to die there. But over time he'd be able to forgive them, as the emotions within him settled and he'd morph back into his old self again. He couldn't completely forgive them, but he understood that staying could've meant certain death. It was a complicated set of emotions for the typically cheery teen to come to grips with. He'd request permission to take some time off, and wished to return to the Land of Snow. He wanted to see his mother and brother. He'd set off for Yuki no Kuni upon a stormy summer night, and as he traveled, soon rain would shift to snow the further north he went. He'd eventually make it back to the place he spent years training, and would make his way to Yukigakure.

Once he arrived, he'd find his mother and learn that a week prior, Hyoketsu left on a Mission...it should've only taken 3 days, but he hadn't returned after 7 days. This was odd, Hyo was not the one to do such a thing unless he was forced too. Arashi was not as strong as his older brother, but vowed to find him, setting out into the snowy tundra of Yuki no Kuni, following the trail of where his brother was known to be heading.

Arashi faced a blizzard with narrowed eyes, arms crossed over himself for warmth, only a loose cloak tugged at violently in the freezing wind to keep him warm in these harsh conditions. Arashi had gotten used to the slightly warmer Kumogakure over the past 2 years, the bitter cold burning against his face...this had be the worse snowstorm he'd seen in all his time within The Land of Snow. He pressed on until he found a cave to wait out the storm in, managing to get a fight lit to keep himself from freezing to death as the night lowered temperatures even lower then during the day. He would settle in for the night, and get some rest.

Chapter 3 | The Snow, The Storm
The next morning saw the end of blizzard conditions, only a light flurry of snow drifting slowly to the blanket of white that coated the ground. Arashi set out again trying to track down his brother. It took half a day of wandering a snow covered mountainous region of the Land of Snow before Arashi found anything akin to a clue. He found the body of another Shinobi, their headband too damaged to even tell what village they was even from. The body was partly covered in snow, but with some examination, he could see markings of chains around their neck. Hyoketsu was known for using Chains in combat. Half burried in the snow around them was a scroll...Arashi picked up and would read it. His eyes narrowed. "This must be what Hyo-Nii was after...." he said, looking up from the scroll. "But...this info is..." He sighed without finishing the thought and kept a hold of it, and continued on.

He couldn't find anything to tell where Hyoketsu could've went after killing the enemy Shinobi, but happened across a small village. It was made evident quickly that this village he'd found was a holdout of Samurai, likely from The Land of Iron. They was weary of the Shinobi, but after some talked, warmed up a bit and let him in. They would give him a meal and offer a dry place to sleep for the night, which he appreciated greatly. He'd find out Hyoketsu had also stopped there...and was last seen heading west. Arashi was unable to continue any further tonight, and would accept their offer of a place to sleep. The following day he was pointed the exact direction Hyoketsu had taken, only 2 days prior, and with a smile and many thanks he left off as fast he could after his brother's trail.

All day he'd run, he wasn't the fastest, so if he wanted to catch up he had to push himself, exerting himself to run even faster then usual just in hopes of finding Hyoketsu. Sunset was falling in the West, the same direction he ran. It'd by now been 9 days since Hyo was last seen in Yukigakure, and closing in on 3 since he left the Samurai Holdout. Finally just as the Sun was falling under the Horizon, he spotted someone in the far distance. He pushed himself once more to run as fast he could after the distant figure. As he got closer his eyes lit up and a smile ear to ear crossed his features, seeing the signature blue locks only shared by himself, his brother, and their mother Haruki, knowing it was Hyoketsu. He called out loudly, but as he got closer he realized his brother was standing still, back faced to him. Looking past his brother, he saw an entire enemy squad staring down Hyo. His eyes went wide, then narrowed, as he rushed up to Hyoketsu's side. This only earned a glance from the bright blue eye'd Hayate, before they returned on the force in front of them.

"You shouldn't be here Ara..." said Hyo to his brother. Arashi drew a blade from his back and smirked. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now Hyo-Nii." was all he answered with. Knowing he stood no chance alone, even as strong as he was, Hyoketsu simply shut his eyes and sighed. His eyes opened narrowly as he looked at his enemy, counting the numbers. They was outnumbered, 6v2. Hyoketsu slowly knelled down and by gliding a hand over a tattoo on his opposite hand, he summoned a chain that would almost instantly spark to life with the flow of Storm Release through it, a kunai taken in his other hand--matching Arashi's secondary weapon choice.. "So be it..." was his only words as Arashi smirked even more, a full grin and narrow eyes, excited at the prospect of the battle.

    Arashi Hayate TELPmeY

The ensuring battle was fierce, the two brothers side by side fighting an enemy triple in numbers, many twists, turns, close calls and more as they battled. This battle would rage on for a while, by the end, the two brothers stood over the corpses of their enemies. Arashi was struggling to catch his breath, he had to push himself so hard to keep up, meanwhile Hyoketsu stood a bit ways away, seemingly unphased by the lengthy battle. By now night had fallen and snow was falling once more around them. Arashi pushed himself to stand up straight and cast a grin towards Hyoketsu as he walked up to him.

"Come on bro, lets head home...mom is worried sick--you been out here for ages." he'd tell Kyoketsu. Ice eyes, both color and coldness, turned towards his younger brother, turning about to face him. Hyoketsu sighed, shaking his head--earning a shocked look from Arashi as his grin slowly faded. "...My mission isn't over." is all he said, before in a sudden burst of movement, he gut-punched Arashi hard enough to knock all the wind out of him, and drop the Genin to the snow-covered ground. Through a wince and holding his stomach, Arashi tried to look up at Hyoketsu...all the man would do is knell down to his downed brother, shuffling through a pocket to take the scroll he'd found...with a burst of storm release the scroll was torched with energy and destroyed completely, before Hyoketsu stood back up...the Yukigakure Jounin turning his back on Arashi who could only reach out with a shaking hand as he watched Hyoketsu walk away. Arashi couldn't even call out his name as he finally passed out, his body having exerted too much energy before taking this gut shot.

Chapter 4 | The Boy Forced to be a Man
He woke up the following morning, half covered in snow. Arashi would struggle to stand up, holding his stomach after he did. Hyoketsu was long gone...and Arashi knew the coast wasn't to far...meaning who knows where he could've went, as traveling in a straight line was impossible without a ship. Arashi looked down to the fluffy blanket of snow covering the ground, eyes full of sorrow, lost as to what to do...or even why this happened. The scroll, his eyes went wide and he went digging in his pocket for it...but then remembered--Hyoketsu had destroyed it. His head dropped in mental defeat, and the Genin would turn around...slowly walking off back towards Yukigakure. He'd stop by the Samurai hideout for the night, thanking them for their aid in helping him try to find Hyoketsu. The teen would make his way back to tell his mother what happened...she cried at the thought her oldest son wasn't coming home, and they had no idea where he was or was going.

After staying a couple weeks, he'd go on to head home--catching a boat back to the mainland and heading back towards Kumogakure. He arrived at home and would stay at home for weeks...sending letters back and forth to his mother, seeing if she heard from Hyoketsu. Nothing...No sightings, no word, nothing to tell what was going on. With a somber sigh, Arashi questioned..."What is your Mission, Hyoketsu-Nii..."

He'd return to his father, who by now again lived in the coastal village Arashi had been raised in. Hikotaka was a Shinobi, maybe he could make sense of it...but he couldn't. With nothing they could do, the Teen would ask his father to train him once more. For the following years, Arashi would train with his father, while he himself turned from a Teen too a Man. By age 20 he would return to Kumogakure, his father moving there with him once more. Now Arashi would finally return to doing Missions for the Hidden Cloud...him taking his duties a lot more seriously then before, but still putting on that signature grin of his.

Despite these slights Arashi still remains cheery, the man loves cracking jokes with others, flirting with woman--something surely he got from his father--and generally making the changes that one would expect as he came to age. He made friends, had a couple girlfriends for usually very short stints, the young man was quite the ladies man after all, but maybe hard to tame like the wild Tiger that slept within. Arashi would continue like this for the next year or two, until he came back home from a mission one day, and was met with some tragic news...

Arashi would be told that his father, Hikotaka Hayate, had been killed in the mountains surrounding the village. He was on a guard shift and seemed to have encountered someone. Blood the battle scene shown the one had killed Taka was also injured in the battle, but they lost their trail somewhere in the woods when the trail went cold, no more blood to follow--but no body. Arashi nodded and would go ahead and head home, taking a seat and laying back, looking up at the ceiling. He sighed...he had a new Mission. He wanted to find Hyoketsu...and he wanted to find his father's killer, whomever it is. If not for revenge, at least a reason...With this new found goals Arashi would rise again, and escape these depths. With the passing of his father, he'd find something out about Taka he never even knew--that the man was the leader of the Inazuma clan...and now with him gone, Arashi was to take his place within the clan. Some time had passed since these events, but they are still fresh in Arashi's mind.

--Human Lightning Rod: With his natural alignment to the Storm, being his home away from home, the man is able to easily take advantage of his environment when under a storm cloud, able to reach to the havens and draw a bolt of Lightning from the storm itself to strike him. He has a couple options, one being to amp his Raiton or Ranton jutsu. This results in a +1 tier to the power of Arashi’s Raiton or Ranton based jutsu for 5 rounds, forced to pick upon use of the UA, amping his jutsu using the natural raw power of the Lightning, afterwards having a 5 round cooldown period. This comes at the cost of situation, requiring the presence of thunder clouds or storms in the area to be able to perform, and during the cooldown period Arashi’s Jutsu that had been amp’d are -1 Tier in power.

*^ This needs to be if he increases Raiton by 1 rank his ranton is lowered or vice-versa. He cannot have two in one though. You need to pick which one you are raising a rank in power and which one you are weakening. Also it has to occur concurrently. The five post cool-down isn't really necessary.

This penalty happens regardless of other effects such as having A-tier Stamina, but only if the ability has been activated at least once. This ability has a 3 round cool down period.

*^ I don't know what you mean by cooldown, this ability can only be activated once.

This penalty happens regardless of other effects such as having A-tier Stamina, but only if the ability has been activated at least once. This ability has a 3 round cool down period.

*^ I don't know what you mean by cooldown, this ability can only be activated once.

Edits made as asked. Also removed a UA because I realized I had 3 stat trading UA, when the max is 2. I will also fix how the similar/same UA work on Azuma to make them match up with these, since these are basically the same as his UA. (They are half brothers, but don't know each other exist, hence sharing similar abilities.)

    Arashi Hayate 2ojQafa

    --------------------------------------------
