Kana’s hair is a mass of curls. Etsu’s hair is wavy. While Kimiko’s hair is flat. Her hair being naturally lively, will sometimes shift and shudder when multiple personalities try taking control, or if there is a fight over who’s driving.
Clothes wise they each have their own unique styles they enjoy when they can afford clothes, or can steal enough to make their own.
Kana Loves whatever tickles her fancy, hates bras with the fury of a thousand sons, and usually dresses in what she thinks as comfy and fun. The consummate party girl / Counterculture gamer chick. Etsu Likes girly-girl clothing, or uniforms. She dresses partially for comfort, but also look pretty while being comfortable. As for Kimiko? She dresses between goth, practical, and work appropriate for a smithy and engineer. With comfort being the furthest thing from her mind, as long as it’ll allow her to do her job well.
THey usually all carry around a stuffed alligator plush. Worn, and showing signs of being repeatedly stitched up and fixed up.

Always looking forways to get them a better life, and in her own strange way, take care of them and bring them some sense of joy. Even if she doesn’t quite get how Kimiko can be happy spending days reading a book, or why Etsu loves cooking so much. Or just how in the heck she cooks so well.

Kimiko Enkai was the first personality. Born to a family of miners and smithies in a village outside of Kazehana Empire, she grew up learning the tedious and dangerous profession of mining at the age of 6. The loneliness and fear it bred wore on her, until one day she heard another little girl’s voice beside her, looking around she couldn’t find anyone, until she closed her eyes and in her mind;s eye saw her. It looked a lot like her but her hair was different and much unlike her, she was smiling.
Talking to her, she learned her name was Etsu, and she didn’t know where she came from, she just was. Dropping her pickaxe and resting upon the cavern walls she focused on this new person inside her. Of course being only 8 at the time, she had no idea where babies came from so thought she must have been it’s mommy, but it went wrong and it got stuck inside her head.
Thus began the strange early relationship of Etsu and Kimiko, with Etsu taking an intense interest in cooking and domestic chores, while finding little things that’d make Kimiko laugh, or even drag her out of her shell to play games with her.
They eventually got found out when her father asked her one day what was so funny, and Kimiko, innocently told her father all about Etsu, and how she was her mommy, but some how she got stuck in her head.
This of course worried her father, who sent her to a mental institution in the Empire. Sadly this was also when the Empire changed to Sunagakure, and in a minor uprising between loyalists to the assassinated Emir, and his cousin the newly elected Kazekage,
A fluke of Scorch, Magnet Release, and a dust storm, created a fire storm that swept the area, Her father seeing the strange site was able to shelter her in a little niche in the mountain wall, but he couldn’t do more than plug the hole with the carriage and it’s belongings before the storm struck.
They never did find out what happend, they were told that some things a little girl shouldn’t know. Nor did they tell her what happened when they were near what used to be her village. Instead they took her to Suna, where she was placed in an Orphanage.
That didn’t last, what with the Orphanage owner being a loyalist, and soon the children got displaced. Most made it to homes, some, like Enkai, not so lucky. So she learned to survive on the streets. That’s when Kana came about, she had the skills and mentality to survive and fight.
And thus their life progressed, with small breaks in daily horrors by going to the Academy, and slowly Kana developed the skill at Stage Magic and Hustling.
Thus getting them bits throughout the day needed to clean up, get fed, and eventually the respect of the market place to give the gutter rat little side jobs. Which led to them being able to afford things beyond survival, but take up hobbies such as crafting and artsy things from Kimiko, Singing, Cooking and Knitting from Etsu, Reading for both Kimiko and Etsu, and the musical arts, sculpting and pottery for Kana.

Around the age of 12, having graduated the Academy, Enkai, having for a few years selling the art they had all been making for coin, had a vision, a time when they were 3 beings acting as 1. A world where their love would unify them and raise them to more than they were, and an image of a local artist named Ei, whom they were to drop of their work to be judged.
The compulsion, the need was so great that they all united to slave over it. Each one utilizing their expertise breath life into the work. They poured every last coin into it's creation. In the end, they had a 3d scene. Hand painted with stunning realism, of the three girls physically existing on a green field of grass, a hand intertwined.
The scene was labeled Love of 3 Minds, and delivered to Ei for judgement (covered in a Flashback later), and it thankfully passed. From that moment on they weren't Guttersnipe artists, but adopted into the guild, and patronized by them, funding their artistic endeavors in the name of the Guild.
