The Big House

Ninja rarely found themselves in the police station. The civilian police worked mainly to handle most petty crimes and non-serious crimes. They relieved a major burden ninja would otherwise have to do. But once ever blue moon a ninja winds up in the police station for a variety of obscure reasons. In most cases these are Genin and bad temperament. The Mizukage is generally lax with interaction among ninja. Loitering, disorderly conduct, and simple assault among ninja are generally not enforced, along other minor laws meant to keep civilians in check but not ninja. But don't be convinced ninja all get free passes.

Ninja security from the Academy hauled away one Genin who was charged with consuming illicit drugs. Being a felony this would of course come with a high bail or hard time. But in order to convict the girl they needed to run multiple tests to confirm the authenticity of her prescriptions, the drugs in her system, and her medical history. The three Jounin escorted Higure in cuffs, two of them having their arm locked around each of hers and their hands grabbing her pinky and ring finger on both hands. This simple technique prevented finger mobility stopping her from performing any hand signs. One Jounin took point and led the party. It wasn't a far walk from the Academy to the Police Station being only a few blocks away. They were in the downtown district already so that saved Higure any added shame to her previous disruptions.

They'd arrive to a large, cylindrical complex made of stone brick and completely windowless except for the lobby and a few office suites on the upper levels for administration. It read clearly on the front, 'Kirigakure Metropolitan Police Service Headquarters.' The leading Jounin pushed the door open taking the girl inside. They would head straight into the back pushing a door and leading the girl through the aisle. Making a left at the far end of the hall they'd pass very notable rooms, such as interrogation, showers, linen room, and a conference room. But these would pass by quick when they made their last turn to the drug lab. Passing through the doors the squad would enter a clinic room looking very similar to that in an urgent care center. It looked clean with white floors, medical supply, diagrams on human anatomy, and florescent lights. Several chairs waited to took a blood work.

"Can we get a blood work to test for narcotics?" The leading Jounin would first search the girl pulling any suspicious baggies, bottles, containers, and whatnot from her belongings. He would take these to the backroom where their authenticity would be screened. If Higure had a prescription they would be identified to confirm their legitimacy as well using a database to identify the girl and her medical history. While this was happening, the two remaining guards would uncuff the girl, one standing by with his hand on his sword in case Higure used this opportunity to spring into violence. The other guard unlocked the cuffs freeing her arms and hands. After that, these procedures would continue as one would expect. If Higure complies the medical personnel on sight would seat her down and take a few vials of blood following every health precaution to make the extraction safe and painless. With the blood samples all tests would begin. Higure would be taken back out into the hall into one of the conference rooms and be seated on the far end furthest from the door. The guards would shut the door behind them as they entered and stand guard blocking the doorway from any intruder. They'd stay still and silent not making any conversation with the girl.

Higure was in a drug induced calm by the time they ended up in the jail. Her walking was only slightly impaired, as they finally unchained her and started going through her things, she'd speak up, "I need my mentors the previous Mizukage Toonami and Konami to be told about my incarceration please. They're my legal guardians, and can vouch for my previous good behaviour."

They'd need to know about her getting in jail, hopefully Higure wouldn't end up regretting not going through with Plan A, but she was too far into things to go that route now. As they'd go through her small backpack. They'd find a good amount of drugs on her.

In short, a small treasure trove of things to not do to your body.

Higure had to admit, several months ago, she would have never considered doing all the mountains of drugs that were currently floating around in her system. But now that she had. Well, fun was fun. And if there was one thing that Toon knew how to do in abundance it was fun.

She'd look at them as they unpacked her very small collection of drugs, compared to Toon's Stash, and gave a sheepish grin, "You'll find that the prescriptions for those are from actual doctors. I have medical conditions."

Of course most of those conditions were trumped up, or told to her by the doctors. Rather than actually existing, albeit now, after a rather massive dependance on a vast amount of substances, and her dangerously frail constitution. Going into withdraw would probably kill her. So their need at least, was 100% accurate.

But hey, you didn't end up doing insane, rave-party amount of drugs on a daily basis for months without consequences. Fun usually had a price, and Higure trusted Toon to know what she was doing. And Higure trusted Toon to look out for her and not screw her over, with every fiber of her being.

After the blood check they did a search and thankfully nothing came up about her life before the Big Twins. Her medical files lined up with most of the things she was carrying on her, and she didn't have any priors that they knew of. Something Higure wasn't going to blurt out to give them a reason to look any deeper than they were.


While the blood tests were being done, Higure would sit in a room surrounded by cops including the two Jounin watching over here. Hoping that Toon would get there before too long. At least there looked like people she could talk to and keep herself entertained while going through everything until they dragged her into a conference room.

Ikomiki had just failed the Chunin Exams. However, it appeared that she wasn’t the only one.

She had spied the girl when first exiting the third floor, after her extended time licking her wounds on the toilet. A confrontation between two girls. Ikomiki had watched from afar. Someone messing around with what looked like candy and then getting put in restraints and pulled away by a group of Jounin. Her head was still spinning when it all happened. Even so, it was clear what was happening. The written exams were going off. A genin had just been pulled out of the classroom for whatever reason. Likely she failed. Just like Ikomiki did.

Ikomiki would follow. Curiosity killed the cat.

The idea that this girl was a failure too was something she thought about. Riding out of Room #341 so recently she was still licking her wounds, and so the prospect of attempting to analyze her own defeat wasn’t an appealing prospect. This was much easier to do. Getting someone else to explain why they themselves had failed would help her. This was easier than thinking about it herself, and she had no desire to interact with Doctor Naji any longer, or any of those other annoying humans who had been in Room #341.

That the catgirl was tailing the group on the way to the police station likely would have been obvious to a group of Jounin, but at the same time the girl didn’t display any threat. She was still stiff, visibly walking with an injury. The bruise on her chest was still fresh and purple and painful, and there was nothing that could be done about that.

Knowing the exam, it was probably some stupid reason. Eating while the exam had already started, maybe. That was one rule that these humans seemed to love. Dictating all the time when you were allowed to eat and when you weren’t. It was a luxury that only those who didn’t have to hunt for their own food could afford. All of it was so arbitrary and humane. Ikomiki hated it. This was probably a waste of time too. The girl would scowl, although at nothing in particular.

The place they were bringing her was luckily not far at all. It was some big builty with fancy letters written over it. Ikomiki took a glance at the writing, but the words were beyond her comprehension. Ikomiki would just walk in though, entering right through the front door not too long after the three Jounin and Higure had.

That had been the easy part though. Once inside the building Ikomiki would find herself inside a labyrinth of concrete and brick. She had entered after the group had already progressed onwards, and thus wasn’t able to follow by sight anymore. Frustratingly, her sense of smell also wasn’t adequate. It wasn’t the sort yet where she could just track the girl by the scent of her sweat like other cats might have been able to do.

Her ears would twitch. Ikomiki’s tail would swish around behind her, clearly a sign of agitation among cats.

She would be forced to speak to someone. Ikomiki would approach the first human she would find. Presumably there would be one in the lobby, but if not she would just simply wander around the building until she spotted one. Her emerald green eyes would be squinted into a glare, looking visibly angry, although it wasn’t clear what at.

“A girl came through here.” She would speak at the person she had found. “Take me to her. There are some questions I need to ask her.” Very direct. It was spoken as an order. After a second of though there would be a few additional words tacted on to the end. “This pertains to the interests of the Hokage.” It was an appeal to authority, nothing more. She knew precious little about the Hokage, but Ikomiki knew enough about shinobi life to understand that they were the leader of Konohagakure, and presumably the strongest.

"The former Mizukage is your mentor, is she? I wonder what they have to say about your behavior if that is the case." One of the guard Jounin said before nodding over to one of the constables who would be permitted to leave the room in order to fulfill Higure's summon request. They would check the traffic database to even confirm Konami was in Kirigakure. And to his surprise, she was. The constable drafted a quick summon, placed it in an envelop, stamped it with red wax using the Metropolitan seal, and handed it to a delivery ninja. If Konami was found she would receive the letter listed below.

A true treasure trove of drugs. The Jounin had each of the drugs tested and would finish the process by the time Konami would have received the letter and be just on her way to the police station if she chose to even represent Higure. The list of controlled substances was completely mind-boggling and was something suspected of a drug dealer. For a regular Genin to be loaded with so many drugs was unheard of. Was she trying to distribute in Kirigakure, a city so clean of crime and drug abuse? If she was truly on those drugs as prescribed by a professional medical practitioner why was she even a ninja? To be so ill and unstable requiring the sustenance of drug use. A lot of things didn't make sense. But that would soon be settled once Higure's contact arrived.

While all of this was happening behind the scenes the lobby was quiet as usual. Crime was very low in Kirigakure which meant little trouble to report. The lobby doors opened as a small bell chimed catching the attention of the two front desk officers, who were both seated in their seats doing simple work-related tasks. They both shared a box of donuts and a pot of coffee. As Ikomiki march straight up to the desk the officer returned his attention to the cat girl. He grinned admiring the cuteness. Any human hybrid was extremely rare to come by. Kirigakure had the Hoshigaki, but that was all the familiarity they had with mixed races. Something like a cat hybrid would be the first time for any of the officers in the room who, unlike ninja, have very little experience outside the walls of Kirigakure. "Aww, is that so?" To him it was obvious this was another Genin. There was something about Genin and claiming they had business with their Kage. Did they honestly believe that's all it took to overstep all protocol and boundaries set in place to protect sensitive persons, information, and preserve the welfare of a civilization?

But the girl was young and was misguided. It would be morally wrong to spit protocol in her face expecting her to understand or obey. The officer grabbed the box of donuts and held it over the counter. "Here, take one! If you take a seat in the lobby we can give you some milk with that. And maybe once your friend is done with her business you can speak to her." The officer was unsure of the girl's fate, but in the mean time he wanted to stall Iko with some treats.

Ikomiki would stare up at the man. She had been glaring before but that intense look would be released on her face the moment the donuts had been presented to her. It did look just a bit like she was still angry, but the shift in emotion would make it clear to the men that this was just how Ikomiki’s face looked by default. She had the sort of face and eyes that looked scowling and mad by default, even if that wasn’t truly the emotion that she was feeling. Regarding the donuts with a great interest, she would inspect the box silently as it was presented to her. Slowly Ikomiki would lean in to it, sniffing a bit at the pastries in a display that was more feline than human.

She would take one. It was slightly squishy to the touch, which was interesting. Ikomiki, having been raised by cats, usually just ate whatever she could hunt or scavenge, and so the wonders of human food was still something of a mystery to her. The donut was round in shape, and lacked a hole in the center. It was jelly-filled, and the little bead of red jelly that leaked out of the bottom of the pastry would make that clear. Bringing it up to her mouth, Iko would lick at the strawberry jelly that was leaking a bit out of the pastry’s seam.

“Okay.” She would respond slowly after, her attention having been enraptured by the pastry she had been offered. With it still held up close to her face Ikomiki would retreat to one of the seats in the lobby. She had already lost interest in the reason she had come here, finding this a much better use of her time. Sitting down, she would continue to lick at the donut. Ikomiki took the police officer at his word as well, and so if anything she figured that once the failure girl was finished with whatever it was that was going on Ikomiki would be able to spot her on the way out and take care of whatever business she had then.

Shit!

Konami thought as she finished reading the letter that had been sent to the Twins' temporary residence. Konami quickly crumpled the letter and ate it the second she comprehended its contents. Thankfully, the letter had only been addressed to her which meant that Toonami had not been sent a copy. If Toon knew that Higure was being detained at the local jail then she'd probably bomb the building in hopes of freeing her lover. Konami couldn't let that happen. She was a former Mizukage and so had lots of pull with the local authorities but a terrorist act was not something that she could cover up so easily. This was especially true given that there had been a whooping four Mizukage since her tenure. Its possible that evidence of their crimes in the village could be uncovered if she pressed too hard. This situation would require a delicate touch and supreme negotiation skills. Skills that were completely outside Toonami's wheelhouse. Konami immediately called in a few favors and put together a team of lawyers. She created a shortlist of possible crimes Higure was likely to be facing and thoroughly prepared a counter to each charge with only a few minutes notice. The elder twin's world-class intelligence allowing her to accurately predict and answer the various criminal complaints as her lawyers escorted her to the building. Each lawyer contained a briefcase filled with relevant documents and Konami herself carried a binder that contained all of her charge's medical records.

It was standard operating procedure for the police to drug test detainees. She knew that much having been Mizukage herself. If the authorities drug tested Higure then their machine might very well have broken. Toon kept her girlfriend's bloodstream saturated with chemicals. Some of which had not even hit the market en masse yet. Konami had allowed it in that it made Higure more loyal (as drug addicts often were) and she figured that if Toon could be semi-functional in that state then perhaps it was better to let the two bond over such trivialities. Konami was beginning to regret her decision. The ultra-tall woman marched into the building with her team of suited up attorneys. Konami was wearing her regular outfit: a green spandex training leotard, boots, a pair of red steel gauntlets (more for nostalgia than combat), and a red beret. A pair of super long blonde braids trailed behind her as she marched up to the front desk and spoke:

"Konami Kereko, here on behalf of my ward Higure Tatsuda. I was given a letter which stated she was being detained here"

Higure looked at the two guards they were going to make conversing in private a bit more challenging, it's not like she could mention cheating and her writing at this stage of the drugs finally kicking in full force was going to make any covert messaging to be quite the pain in the ass.

Since the drugs in her system was currently a mix of over 541 out of 543 currently known drugs  in her system, and at least 60 experimental ones. Pretty much began and ended with everything short of cocaine. She was sure that the machine would have pretty much exploded, possibly set the room on fire. If not having them wonder how a girl that was currently about 70% drugs to blood was still functional.

She would have said  everything but cocaine and heroin, but Toon had finally broken her down to try Cheese, a mix of syrup and Black Tar Heroin, a day before they left for Kiri, and she regretted every second of it.  A vast majority of the drugs in her were from pill silos where doctors would push drugs if the price was right. Which with Toon it was easy to get a script saying she had X and needed A - Q. Or using obscure laws from between different nations where their either were relaxed or no laws on the substances inside her. But Toon's new stuff? That was going to be a harder sell. As was the heroin, and alcohol. Hell her being a literal walking library of drugs held inside her body was going to be a hard enough sell, even with the documents showing they were all perfectly legal, and it's not like she was carrying Cheese, or booze on her.  


Of course it would suck if they tried to take her off of the drugs that were mixing in her system. The withdrawal would kill her in a heart beat, not that a small part of her didn't know she was a ticking time bomb of death and organ destruction already, but if Toon could survive it ... she wouldn't just let her die would she? She'd help her achieve the same immune to negative effects of drugs that had warped her, changed her, made her adapt. Higure was more important than her toys she repeatedly broke, and who's bodies she helped dispose of?

With a brain as big as hers, when not swimming in a sea of substances, she knew it for a fact, that the cocktail of substances was going to either change her like Toon, or leave her corpse tossed off the side of a cliff or something. Of course she could also see the appeal for her employes - mentors - etc. Drug addicts were loyal to their providers, and with Higure making not a single cent of coin in over half a year.  She was firmly wrapped around their fingers.


Not that she minded too much. She was still star struck by Toon, and Konomi was enough of a mystery to not push her boundaries with the elder twin. As Konomi entered Higure gave a drugged smile, and a slow nod before saying, "I showed the proctor my prescriptions and took some medicine, after a little misunderstanding. I did nothing illegal, and if she didn't arrest me for taking my medication, and ignoring the scripts in her hand I would have passed the Exams." Higure slurred slightly, she made a noticeable effort to annunciate, "Fuck I could tell you the questions and most of the answers right here and now if I wanted too."


Sure she didn't have scripts for the cigs. But it wasn't illegal for her to smoke them, just illegal to sell them to her. Never mind whippets which most nations didn't have laws for. She just had to keep from saying anything damning or breaking the small script of "I was just taking my meds." while in front of the guards and any witnesses outside of Konomi and her guards.

She was more than a little hurt that Toon wasn't here, but she knew (hoped) that her lover either wasn't told, or was planning on blowing the building up to get her out.

Ikomiki had been midway through consuming the donut, taking little nibbles out of it, when a massive giant woman wearing spandex marched in. Following her were a large parade of people in strange suits. It was a very interesting and strange thing, enough so that Ikomiki would become temporarily distracted from her donut. She had already sucked out all the jelly from inside the donut anyway, so all the best parts of it had already been eaten. Just the sugary and sort of wimpy dough shell was left now, and while that was fine it didn’t really compare to the strawberry jelly. She had gotten it all over her mouth in the process of eating it, with the area around her lips and chin stained a sticky strawberry red now. When looking as she did, Ikomiki couldn’t help but be conscious of the atmosphere. She was out of place here.

At this point she had almost forgotten the original reason she had come in. It was something about wanting to ask a girl why she had failed, but at the same time this donut had wiped her mind clean of all those concerns regarding the exams. They didn’t seem all too important anymore.

As the giant in green spandex announced herself Ikomiki would get up from her seat. Keeping close to the room’s wall she would slowly shuffle out of the room. She had been offered an additional glass of milk but with all this excitement, it didn’t seem likely that she would actually be getting it.

Silently the strawberry-jam covered cat would skulk out of the building. The remains of the donut she had sucked dry would be left in the seat she had been sitting.

The guards in Higure's room were the least interested in entertaining her. Their job was to hold her in the conference room until the tests came back and the girl's representative arrived. They stayed still like drilled soldiers unmoved by her words. Shortly following her words a couple knocks would be heard from the outside and they'd step aside. It was the third guard in the unit with a stack of papers. The drugs have been labeled and stored in the evidence room. The man would take a seat and review the documents in the meantime. Given a couple minutes of silence a bell would chime as what sounded like a dozen people entered the police station. It was Konami and her crew.

"Ah yes, Konami. Please head down this hall and enter the last door on the left. They will be expecting you." Rion said gesturing to the right with a welcoming smile to appear friendly.

The guard reading the packet who oversaw the drug test and results was astounded. "I am amazed how you are still alive." He added as rhetorical comment to himself, not directing it at her expecting an answer. If she were to stop taking drugs I feel that would cause more harm than good. Her body would go into shock. Something didn't seem right about any of this. How she was even still alive was a shock. The side effects and incompatibility most of the drugs shared were bound to cause some severe trauma to her organs. There were numerous substances in her blood stream that could not be identified directly to any known stand of preexisting drug.

If Konami continued with her pursuit to Higure's freedom the guards would notice a few knocks of the door again. Rion Uchiha specifically led the gorgeous former Mizukage to the door and opened it for her. The two guards stepped aside. "Lady Konami." The head Jounin said in almost disbelief as all military and police personnel stood from their seats and stepped back offering theirs to Konami if she would take it. They maintained an upright posture with her in the room. "Please take a seat. Let us not waste much of your valuable time."

Konami was told to head down the hall until she reached the last door on the left and that is exactly what she did. The Amazonian Goddess strode forward confidently. People gave her a wide berth not only due to her size and intimidating aura, but by the fact that many recognized her as the former Mizukage. The entourage of attorneys also helped bolster her credibility as a mover and shaker. Yet as confident as she felt, she was visibly shaken when she noticed the man leading her bore a striking similarity to the shinobi commanded by Gin Akiyama. The man was in fact a Konoha-Nin then and had now switched sides? Or perhaps he had a twin brother or a sibling that looked just like him. Konami immediately found this character distasteful. He was a twin or something like it, and Konami knew how to deal with twins.

She walked into the room and saw Higure. Her apprentice was high as a kite and practically drooling as the endless cocktail of drugs swam in her bloodstream. Konami was a doctor but she didn't like to write false 'scripts unless she had to. More likely than not, Toonami had abused her medical credentials to write Higure a prescription for every drug under the sun in addition to the unknown designer drugs she often created. Konami said nothing and sat down. She was as stiff as a board. The woman gave an occasional glance to Higure to let her known to shut the fuck up.

Higure talking would only lead to her incriminating herself. She did let Konami know that at least one of her charges included taking drugs during the Exam.

How stupid could you be? I specifically told you the Exams were an important gauge of your abilities. I should have never let Toon corrupt you. You're weaker than I gave you credit for...

Konami crossed her legs and sat still. She focused on the task at hand. There'd be a time to chastize the auric-crimson girl.

"Do you have a copy of the charges officer?"

The lawyers stood at attention, ready to unleash a torrent of Affirmative Defenses.

When Konami found her seat the guards and personnel in the building sat down after standing at attention for the former Mizukage. "Yes, we do. They just finished making a copy before you arrived. Take a look." The Jounin Officer slid over a rather thick packet...followed by another packet. The amount of drugs in Higure's system was outstanding. The possession of several hard drugs, the trace of hundreds of others, and several unknown substances in her veins. "Lieutenant Kurisu was first alarmed by Higure's behavior during the written portion of the Chuunin Exams. After pulling Higure aside, Higure herself confessed to the consumption of several controlled substances, and upon a search we found then in her possession. We also conducted a drug test and discovered her bloodstream is saturated with just about every known drug in her system, as well as sixty unknown chemical substances. Although she claims these are all legitimately prescribed through a medical practitioner I cannot confirm the legitimacy of her prescriptions. There is disbelief a legitimate medical professional will prescribe these drugs, as dozens of them are incompatible with each other and would cause a severe reaction if taken together. That is not to mention the amount of drugs in her bloodstream would normally suggest overdose. Higure is facing several felony charges and may face up to several years in prison, lest she can afford bail of two-hundred and fifty thousand ryo, if these charges go through."

As Konomi entered, and Higure started her talking she had ripped off a piece of paper and started forming a crude paper football, and giving Konomi a look that to the outside would look like nothing more than pure arrogance, she hoped Konomi would read the hidden, albeit bitchy, and over meaning behind it. trust me.

Wrapping it in Rotating Shuriken she made a show of flicking it at Konomi and as it tapped her chest had it "fall to her lap", where Higure would make a spectacle of herself to get all eyes on her. She'd try drunkenly guiding it to her shin while all eyes were on her, and write, Don't react ... what's up with you and not wearing pants? Truth time. You, never taught me how to improv, or subtle deception, or what to do when panicking and doing the first impulse that hits me ... I only got WWTD, and just follow impulse, grandstanding, and getting all eyes on me. I mean I only have 4 tools in my arsenal 'My fun times', 'What Would Toon Do?', and 'Ass Pull', and panic slash righteous indignation.

If noone had noticed continue drunkenly writing on Konomi's leg facing the wall away from the guards. If anyone did she'd reply with, "It's a super fancy football. Don't worry about it."

But it was the new person that sent her over the tolerance her drugged body could tolerate. Toons moto of Go Big, or Go Home / All In or Bust. That she did with the drugs had hit it's peak effectiveness and would be fucking with her inhibitions and everything for awhile

Looking at the massive stacks brought in Higure snorted with laughter, "Someon ... I mean that's impressive." Higure whistled before giving a sheepish grin and silencing herself for all of 30 seconds before it was revealed that she pulled a fast one on a cop.

Of course drugs and surprise don't usually mix well. "She was a cop! And she didn't catch me giving answers to the entire class while looking right at me! Epic... I mean, what?" Higure blinked at her owlishly while scribbling on Konomi's leg, ABORT! ABORT! GET ME TO SHUT UP! I pulled too much of a Toon without enough Toon experience earlier playing up my disabilities so any retaliation would be discriminatory!

Before blurting, "Why can't I stop talking!? Someone get me a Xanax, a Lo-tab, the green powder baggie, and some 151 proof anything ... or water ... or vodka, or something stiff like tranquilizers!"

She'd babble trying to shut herself up, as the trip started turning south fast.

Konami accepted the packet and began to look through the materials carefully. She flipped through it at lightning speed, her naturally potent intelligence scanning and retaining all of the information as the man spoke.

Drug abuse? That's not so bad... we can definitely get her out of this we ju-

Her thoughts were temporarily interrupted when a piece of paper hit her. Konami didn't react. Higure was super high and was now under the impression that she was in a position to subtly communicate with her sensei. She cast Higure a glance and saw that the girl was in another dimension.

The charges were strong and if it wasn't for Konami's knowledge of Kirigakure drug laws they'd almost certainly stick. Konami was about to respond when Higure began blathering about not being able to shut up. Konami produced a tranquilizer and jabbed it into Higure's neck. If the Kazehana-Tatsuda kept talking then she would almost certainly incriminate herself well beyond Konami's capability to save her. If successful, Higure would fall face first into the desk, the sedative overpowering her body and forcing her into a state of unconsciousness.

"My apologies" Konami started. "Higure is a special case. Normally, you'd be correct that the contradictory drug regimen found in her bloodstream would normally indicate unlawful abuse or medical malpractice but that isn't what's going on here. As Higure's physician I can attest that her prescriptions are valid and appropriate. The prescriptions were written in Kumogakure but if you give me some time I can have them sent over. You need to understand that Higure's physiology is very rare, I can't say more without endangering her life. If you insist on answers, I'll need to speak with the Mizukage privately. Rest assured, she isn't on this cocktail because she likes to get high. She's on this cocktail because its helps her keep her body and sanity in-tact...that is until a more appropriate remedy can be found"

It was a lie of course. Toonami liked to get stoned and she liked her girlfriends to get stoned with her. She was a genius level scientist so she knew how to forge medical documents to justify her habit, it was all bullshit but unless one had a medical degree and knowledge on par with that of the Twins it was unlikely they'd be able to conclusively refute her claims. The papers published on the subject were peer-reviewed by doctors that they had paid off. The drugs supplied through a shell company. It was all legal and above board, routine, nothing special. However, underneath the layers of deception there was a simple truth. Toonami was a hardcore drug addict and a toxic influence on the lives of others including the two women present in this very room.

"Look, I'm familiar with Kirigakure's drug laws. I helped write some of them and while they may have changed, I'm willing to bet the exceptions still exist. I'm the former Mizukage of this village and I think my word still means nothing. I'm telling you this girl did nothing wrong but if you insist on forcing me to waste Lady Hana's time I will personally file a lawsuit against you, your Department, and every officer in this building for targeted harassment. Or, you could just allow me to pay the standard reduced fine of 150,000 Ryo and let us be on my way. Higure failed the exams and I can accept that, she won't disturb the peace of your village any longer. From now on her drug use will be closely supervised."

Konami's lawyers immediately began opening their briefcase and getting their papers together. They were ready to serve a sea of complaints, subpoenas, and legal challenges should the military officer not stand down.

The officials heard her case and agreed with her conditions. Any other human would be dead. It seems her body was truly unique. But despite that there was still the issue of taking the drugs during the exams, something that served as an interruption. "We understand your case. Higure will be dismissed and will be kept under close supervision. You can imagine the amount of drugs she has in her possession can be hazardous if left unattended. Generally, prescription medicine need to be registered with administration to allow use. We'll make copies of her prescriptions to have on file for future reference. The fine can be paid at the front desk." With that, Higure would be free to go as the guards left the room and went back to their post around the building.

With the tolerance Toon had built up in her, she didn't hit full unconsciousness, but she did end up in a relaxed stupor, she listened as they got her out with just a fine, and the paper she was using to write on Konomi's leg falling to the ground with her no longer able to focus on controlling it.

As everyone went to leave she stumbled drunkenly out towards the door, her numb legs almost feeling like jello as she tried making her way to the door. Well the general direction of the door, giving a weak wave to the people in the room she gave a cheerful slur, "L~laa~ters~ pe~eps! Gon~na tra~in a bit~ mor~e. Sucks~ Tha~t I ca~n't fin~ish the exam~s due to~o a tech~ni~cal~ity~, but al~way~s next time to~ kick all~ the as~ses~es."

But even slurred, and stumbling, it was a minor miracle with what'd normally be enough tranqs to knock out a small horse. Still she was getting off with a legal slap on the wrist, a verbal tearing down from Konomi, but at least she wasn't facing jail time. Now if only the room would stop swaying she could at least enjoy some training in Kiri before she was whisked away to who knows were.

Somewhere....In A Penthouse Apartment....

Toonami Kereko had been kept in the dark about Higure's arrest and rightfully so. If she had learned about her girlfriend's incarceration she would have attacked the local jail and sparked an international incident. As far as the blueberry was concerned, her precious Higure was in exams knocking the shit out of snot nosed brats. So she busied her day with smoking weed, visiting the local brothel, and screwing around in the lab. However, when Konami stepped out she sensed something was up. You see the twins shared an instinct. They could tell when their other half was hiding something from them. Not long after Konami left to bail out Higure, Toon's senses were a tingling. She ignored it at first but soon her curiosity overcame her and she started asking their various lawyers, servants, and secretaries. They all gave her non-answers. Some genuinely did not know and others were hiding Kon's whereabouts. When faced with such an impenetrable wall of secrecy, Toonami's agitation grew to intolerable proportions. She had had enough.

She lured one of Baratheon's attorneys to their apartment and from there, well she began the process of interrogation. The young man was an junior associate and while he didn't know everything Toon knew that he had to know something. He found himself hoisted upside down in the middle of the living room. Toon was swinging a branding iron in one hand while the other held a blunt. She smoked from it occasionally and blew into the lawyer's face.

"Last chance bitch. Where the fuck did my sister go?"

"I swear I don't know! Nobody tells me anything"

Toonami gave him a mischievous smile. The lawyer was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He knew where Konami had gone. He was a talented enough attorney that his superiors had begun to trust him with sensitive knowledge. He had prepared five memorandums on Higure's arrest. They had sworn him to secrecy and he knew if he spilled the beans, he'd not only be fired, he'd be subject to the former Mizukage's wrath. Unfortunately, the threat of future harm was insignificant next to the threat of imminent harm.

"f]]You're a real cockpisser. And a liar....Dumbass I hired you! I know your too fucking smart and arrogant to be just a paper pusher. Something's up and if my sister's keeping it from me it probably has to do with Higure[/b]."

She ripped off his fancy dress shirt and shoved the branding iron near his face. The heat and smoke coming from the object caused him to go still. He stared at the brand and his eyes grew wide in recognition. It was in the shape of a phallus.

"You got one choice bucko. Tell me what you know and I won't stick this on your chest. Let's see how many thotiana's you go through when you got a giant ding dong seared onto your chest"

Toonami grinned manically and waited for a reply. The lawyer swallowed and closed his eyes as if to accept his fate.

"Damn, you're pretty loyal...plus you give good head from what I hear. You woulda made a fan-fucking-tastic husband"

The Bige Twin was about to plunge the brand into the man's chest when the lawyer cried: "WAIT!" Toon halted a centimeter from his chest. The junior associate proceeded to tell her everything. He informed her that Higure had been arrested for public intoxication and drug possession. Toonanmi's magenta eyes flashed and she dropped her branding iron. She grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the lawyer down.

"I'll put you in contact with my main man. You'll get a bigass severance package. Now get the fuck outta here!" she shouted. Toonami was filled with rage. For her former village to have the audacity to arrest her girlfriend was unthinkable. It was an insult that would not go unpunished. She now saw why Konami had tried to hide this from her. Now that she knew what was going on and where Higure was being held, she was going to blow her way into that jail and rescue her girlfriend.

Toonami immediately began gathering supplies to make her bomb. The endeavor took her nor more than about twenty minutes given her genius level intellect. Once she was all done, Toonami made a break for the door only to be stopped by one of her messengers. The woman handed her an envelope. The look in her eyes told Toon that she better read it. Brushing back one of her long blue braids, she tore into the letter and her heart skipped a beat when she saw who it was from.....

Back at the Jailhouse

"Thank you for your cooperation. I'll make sure the Mizukage hears about how reasonable and respectful you were."

Konami understood the language of the bureaucracy. She was quite fluent in it. Loopholes, bribes, promises, favors, all that good stuff. She stood and looked at Higure who was miraculously still conscious. The girl's physiology was indeed rather interesting. The elder Kereko grabbed the girl by the hair and lifted her over her shoulder before walking out. Her lawyers would handle the fine and miscellaneous paperwork at the front desk.

Konami towed Higure out of the building and took her to an alleyway. She placed the girl on her feet and then backhanded her until she came to her senses. The tranquilizer was powerful but fast acting. A concoction she had created for Toon whose drug tolerance was far higher. Once Higure came to her senses, Konami would perform an underhand grab on her jaw and smack her up against the alleyway wall.


"Just who the fuck do you think you are? Do you realize I now have to un-fuck what you just fucked up!" the blonde was not known for her foul language but she was quite livid today. "I told you that you were the future of this company...I gave you that responsibility and you accepted it and now I have to bail you from jail after you flunked the exams. You know what this makes us look like?.......Do you?! You fucking junkie!"

The malice and hatred in Konami's voice was clear. Higure had never seen her Boss Lady this angry before.
