- Spoiler:
Kyoji would be led to the Menzagakure Medical Bay by Menza's attendants. One thing Kyoji would notice about Menzagakure was that it was oddly quiet. There weren't any locals in the area outside of the attendants that Menza employed. To add to the horror and mystery of the island, the attendants that assisted Kyoji would bear Menza's exact face and likeness although they varied in terms of physicality. Some were more feminine than others. Some older, some younger. Each of them had tell-tale signs of plastic surgery and physical modification. A few had false smiles plastered on their face and if Kyoji was particularly perceptive he'd notice that a few were silently crying. Tears falling from their eyes, minute trembling, and an off-key grunt or two would cue the Mizukage into the fact that these attendants were not acting of their own will.
Something horrible had happened in this place.
They'd bring Kyoji into the Medical Bay which was a futuristic set-up complete with advanced monitors, surgical machines, and of course the brains behind the operation. Menza had washed up and gotten changed in the time that it took for Kyoji to return to him. He was now wearing a black turtleneck sweater, slacks, and a white lab coat. A stethoscope hung limply around his neck. The attendants would help Kyoji set Rin on a nearby table and Menza would waste no time applying the Five Element Seal. The technique would keep Rin unconscious for the time being and unable to access his Bijuu chakra when he arose. Menza hooked an IV into his arm to keep him sedated with a powerful cocktail of drugs. The attendants began healing all of his serious injuries while Menza walked over to Kyoji to speak with him.
"Wonderful work! Absolutely top notch Kyoji-sama!" Menza had looked down on the man in the prior interactions but it was clear that he had been foolish to do so. Menza realized he had a bad habit of underestimating people. Shinobi were crafty and they often exceeded one's expectations at all the wrong/right moments. In truth, Menza shouldn't have been surprised at his poor judgment in this regard. He had served Nee-san for years and his own training as a ninja was relatively sparse. He was not a shinobi by trade and it showed in his battle sense and ability to accurately gauge situations involving other ninja. The end conclusion was that he simply was not cut out to fraternize with these savages. His excursion had taught him that they were indolent, treacherous, valorous, powerful, and desperate. Fleshbags of contradiction and unimaginable power. Menza enjoyed chaos. He thrived on it. However, he realized that what he had truly enjoyed about the chaotic elements of nature was that it couldn't think for itself. It was easy to contain and observe from afar. People were not like that. They were chaotic, and their chaos often consumed the one who was tasked with observing them.
A certain Yui Kotoshura comes to mind in this regard.
Menza also figured that Kyoji was quiet similar. The man had come across as ignorant and efete when Menza had met him. Come to find out, he actually possessed a degree of cunning and power that would make even Honiko tremble. He had been holding back this hold time....unwilling to put his village in danger but even back then he must have possessed the skills to prove a worthy challenge to me....what an interesting individual
"I must say Rin was stronger than I had anticipated. I was right to request your help...and being a man of my word, I think you're due for a reward. There are many things I can give you but judging from the way you fight and carry yourself, I'd say a Curse Mark is in order. Tell me Kyoji-sama are you familiar with such things?"
