    Shinsui Empty Shinsui

Post by Akari Chinoike Sat Jan 04, 2020 9:03 am

    Name: Shinsui
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Village: Konoha
    Rank: Genin
    Title:

    Clan: Muramatsu
    Bloodline: Dust Release
    Element(s): Earth, Fire, Wind, (Dust)
    Skill(s): Ninjutsu (Earth)

    Stats

    • Strength: E
    • Constitution: E
    • Stamina: E
    • Speed: E
    • Coordination: E
    • Intelligence: D
    • Perception: E

    Experience Investment

1500 to unlocking Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique of which I am aware I cannot use until I can learn and train it.

    150 to Intelligence

    Unique Abilities:

Learning Class Advantage: A player may have access to learning techniques one rank above of what their class allows. This early access must result in stunted growth forcing the player to spend an additional 10% experience to advance into the next class. This *can* be stacked with other modifiers (Sensei, Intelligence, etc..)

One-handed Seals: Pretty straightforward. A player may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.

    Appearance:

Shinsui stands at 6’3 and weighs 180 lbs. His long black hair cascades down to his lower back and he had steel gray eyes. Lacking the strength to wear any armor he eschews it in order to wear well made suits and apparel. All of it merely able to protect him from the elements. His usual attire consists of a black suit with a red coat. His shoes are comfortably reinforced, allowing them to function well enough for a shinobi’s lifestyle despite appearing as fine dress shoes.

Shinsui generally appears quietly determined, having a scowl upon his features as he finds failure and works to transform that failure into victory. His hard eyes speak of severe mental abuse, they are the eyes of someone who has seen and heard hell, and pulled themselves back together into a shattered representation of what one might call sanity.

History: Born in Land of Wind, Shinsui didn’t live in the village of Sunagakure, but rather in a farming village upon its border with the Land of Rivers. The nearby sources of water providing them with a wondrous source with which to grow in peace. He cannot remember the names of his mother or father. However he does remember their faces. He took strongly after his mother, but that didn’t perturb his father. Who was content to be with his family. All was well within their world until the raiders came.

His mother, thinking quickly, hid him in a closet within her and his father’s room. The door being slightly ajar from a hurried departure to try to protect her son. She was stopped, but not killed. His father’s cry from the living room echoed out through the home, before being cut off suddenly, and permanently. Then the raiders took turns taking his mother within her room, in clear sight of his ever so slightly ajar door. He watched and listened to her be defiled again and again before they brought more women in when they became bored of her. He watched as they played sick games with them, having them choose who would be defiled next or die.

Eventually they grew bored with their games and killed them all. Leaving the corpses in a pile upon the bed. They never found him during that time, for he was shocked into silence by the entire ordeal. He didn’t move from that closet for days. His eyes constantly staring at the pile of corpses lay heaped upon the bed. He was removed however when a relief force arrived. They found him while checking for survivors. He was told he was lucky to have lived, for the raiders probably figured nothing would be in the closet but clothes and not bothered to check it. The food, livestock, everything practical, was taken. The bodies and buildings were left as a grisly reminder of what had happened. He was fed, clothed, but he didn’t speak. His eyes kept the haunted look in them.

Eventually he was brought to Konoha, where he was adopted. Although at this time, he couldn’t even remember his original name any more. His new family, a hard lot, who valued shinobi discipline and believed in earning everything. Gave him a given name, however would not give him their surname. He had to earn that, which was something he never did. His body was too weak in every conceivable way. His new family, who would’ve been willing to accept any shinobi talent were woefully disappointed in him. They began to belittle him, for he barely had the physical power in anything to even make do as a civilian.

However Shinsui wasn’t one to give up. It took him years to get over the mental shock of what he’d seen, and he’d had to rework his vocal cords to acceptable levels before he could talk normally. It took him years to pull himself back together, despite being told he was worthless, and good for nothing the entire time. When he came of age, his family was glad when he decided to move out. They didn’t want the shame of him being part of their ‘family’. For while he had eventually managed to eek by the genin requirements, it was only barely. His adopted family had seen him as nothing but a nuisance. But the village provided comfortable living for it’s shinobi, which he was now. Even if a bad one. So they cheerfully kicked him out when he told them he wanted to leave, and never spoke to him again. Now, Shinsui is pathetically weak, but determined young man. Eager to work his way up via blood, sweat, and tears to becoming a strong and proud shinobi of Konohagakure, whether or not he is sane enough deep down to be allowed to live, remains to be seen.

Personality: Shinsui is a soft spoken man with a determination deep set in him that boggles the mind. His family, brutally murdered and raped before his eyes. His adopted family, mentally abusive to him for his lack of shinobi skills, have left a young man who should for all intents and purposes be a husk of what he could have been. However he was far more than that. He worked hard to try to bring his abilities to greater heights. His academy instructors had been shocked to see him have an affinity for three different elements. However his stamina was so weak he couldn’t make use of it.

Potential was there, he could see that, feel it within himself. And he held on to his dreams of being a powerful shinobi by the nails of his fingers. His fractured mind functions, he thinks, but in different ways then those around him. His sense is always for the greater good. He has a powerful sense of justice verging close to the edge sheer vengeance. Raiders, bandits, thieves, his reactions to this individuals are not good, and oft times he’d kill them if he had the power to do so. It was an ‘iffy’ precipice he stood upon, for if he succeeded in gaining the power to act, would he think to use it responsibly instead of slaughtering every bandit he could find?

Speaking to Shinsui is an affair chock full of quiet. He has no right to judge those around him, for he is weaker than all of them. He has no family life to speak of, no fond childhood memories to reminisce over. His mental facilities are most times devoted to trying to not be a screw up, and gain respectable strength. He wanted to be legendary in their world. Wanted his name to be known around it and spoken of in awe and fear. It was his quiet goal, his personal quest. It was a long road from where he was.

But what did he have to lose?
