”Dammit…” Rin muttered under his breath as one second he felt Menza’s hand break under Rin’s fist. Really though, it was Menza’s own strength backfiring than it was Rin’s. Still, the boy dealt some significant damage however brief it was. Now Rin finds himself in a strange area. A stadium? A coliseum? Rin isn’t entirely sure, but it reminds Rin of the Coliseum back in Land of Lightning. Only this stage is built differently. Getting his bearings, Rin’s bijuu chakra sinks back into his seal as Kyuubi withdraws his chakra for the time being. Using this time to gather some chakra in case they need it.

He lets the flow of chakra into his seal over the right hand to bring out his favored platinum Moonbow. With his fingers comfortably wrapped around the center, Rin raises a hand up to form a tiger seal with just one hand to conjure a shadow clone. So the Uchiha begins to reach in his pouch with his left hand to bring out a bundle of steel wire with shuriken and wrapped in explosive tags along the wire. Rin’s clone throws a crafty trap that covers ten meter in diameter of the mark he was teleported at. Additionally, the shuriken never stops moving, and neither does the wires as a single movement could trigger a nasty explosion.

While this is going on, Rin is dashing a ways from the mark to the east side. Hoping to get at least 150 meters away from the mark in question. Rin of course reaches in his hip pouch while he moves to bring out three ration pills and pops them in his mouth. Never know when he needs the extra chakra, and Rin wasn’t taking any chances. Of course there was still a mark on him to worry about, but that was alright since Rin already has a nasty surprise if Menza gets close like that again. This time Rin will rip Menza to tiny pieces if he tries that again. Eventually when Rin gets there, he will spin around to a stop while bringing an arrow out of his belt quiver and nocts the arrow with the bow. Drawing the string back at full force, Rin’s keen eye watches the trapped area with intense focus. Ready to loose the arrow at a moment’s notice while keeping his hearing keen to his surroundings. At this range, with Rin’s skill, there’s little chance that he’ll miss this shot. Or at least, that is what he believes.

Kurama:

Seconds passed in eerie silence as Rin remained poised with his arrow drawn. In truth he was in worse for wear as he got tons of water dropped on him, got his arm a third degree burn, and he can feel that he's about halfway to his limit. Not to mention using Kurama's power can be taxing on the body if Rin wasn't careful, but really there were so many factors in play that honestly Rin didn't give a damn. Bottom line is that Rin somehow ended up here, and as far as he knows Menza is still alive. So long that man lives, Rin is never safe, and neither is anyone else.

Eventually Rin lowers the arrow and string to let his body rest at least a little bit. In the end he just chuckles as a smile press on his lips. The stadium appears normal, but really he sees that same day Grim Reaper hovering that hand over Rin's face. The same Grim Reaper that Rin saw when Masuyo first trained him. The same face Rin saw when Hohoni attempted to summon Isobu. Yet all of those were only fleeting moments. This one Rin can clearly see.

"We gotta stop meeting like this. I'm not the same powerless kid anymore." Whether this cloaked skeleton actually understood or not remains a mystery. Hard to tell if a skeleton has an expression when there's nothing to show it. Kurama is still focused on meditating to gather his chakra, so really nobody else is here except for Rin himself as far as he knows. The sheer determination and willpower Rin demonstrates seems to have stirred his very soul. Breaking away from the shackles of his past, Rin sees this Reaper of his imagination dissipate into nothingness. Taking a deep breath, Rin focuses his mind on the task at hand. The knowledge and skill of war pouring into his soul and body.

"I don't pray to anyone, but just this once Hakkun. Grant me the strength to eradicate this wicked man." Rin muttered his prayer not really expecting anything to hear from anything. Little did he realize that Hakkun blesses him, and Rin pulls back the string with the arrow. His crimson eyes, though not of Kyuubi's direct influence, focused on the target in front of him. Where Menza will hopefully appear at, and both his clone and Rin's arrow will find their mark.

Rin's instincts were correct but his relative inexperience betrayed him. He was smart to set up a trap around the exact area where Menza had teleported him. It showed strategic thinking. Obviously if Rin had teleported to that spot that it was possible even likely that Menza would shortly follow suit. He was also smart to have a prepared counter in case Menza decided to teleport next to him yet again. Unfortunately, Menza was far to smart to play the same trick twice. Rin had already proved to be fairly quick witted in battle and so Menza decided to teleport himself to the opposite end of the Bijuu Containment Zone. He had set up multiple ports of entry, many of which were hidden within the folds of various plants and bushes. So when Menza and Kyoji appeared on the battlefield, it would be 20 meters behind him as opposed to the spot where the trap was laid. The mad scientist didn't give Rin a moment of relief before transforming his body and rocketing forwards. He was no longer encumbered by the Mist Rain Technique and so his mutation took on its full grotesque form. It was a bit of a change in tactics for him to attack an opponent head on in such a gratitous manner but Kyohi was his back-up and this Cursed One had something to prove.

He mutated his arm into the size of a giant fist and flew in a zig-zag pattern with the intention of colliding with Rin. If successful, the strike would break several major bones, severely crippling the boy. He was once more using an extreme amount of force and power behind the blow but not nearly as much as before. Rin apparently could tank a serious hit and so Menza was a bit more conservative in the force he applied against his opponent.

The moment they were blinked into existence. Far away from the Kiri gates. Menza was the first the spring into action. Apparently the Konoha ninja had already been waiting for them to reappear. This was indeed a strange situation, whatever the man was doing at his gates. And Menza's strange fancy in capturing him, would be answered after this bout. Kyoji was just as quick on the jump. Turning into a beast on par with on of the ugliest creatures the Blue Emperor had ever seen, Menza took off with a blast.

They had appeared some twenty meters behind Rin, they could cover this entire distance easily. The Beast of Kirigakure raised a single seal quickly. He activated his technique. Just as he had done at the gates. It was time to keep this party up close and personal. Sky began to darken, and the entire stadium began fill with a most peculiar mist. The Mist began to spread and cover its entirety, Kyoji making the mist incredibly thick, to obstruct everyone's vision. Kirisame. The mist would destroy the Shadow clone with a poof.

However Kyoji was used to such conditions. The Mist was nothing to him, all he needed was his weapons. He began sprinting forward, following the opposite zig-zag formation from Menza. In a single motion he unsheathed the Kiba blades, he wouldn't be able to fully utilize its powers in the mist. No matter.

Kyoji's speed would be almost a blur, as he would leave behind a afterimage beside as Menza prepared his strikes. If Rin turned around to Menza and noticed him. He would only see the fleeting movements of an image of Kyoji in the mist. The Swordsman of the Mist dashed to the drawing arm of the ninja. Almost entirely getting in front of Rin, that's when pure white bones sprouted from the Rokudaime. The spread from his elbows and his knees. Kyoji swung a lateral slash with his left blade, towards the shoulder of Rin.

Easily rendering his right arm inoperable and almost severed if it were to land. His right Kiba blade was stabbed forward quickly. Aiming towards his thighs, also aiming to harm and to render his movements still. The bone blades on his arms would also serve quick gashes along the man's ribs and chest. If these were to land they would deal a great deal of damage to anyone. All the while, he was reactive to any movement and to Menza.

Alright, thank you Kyuubi. Rin thanked the bijuu that he was hosting. Honestly the boy hoped that he wouldn't have to use Kurama's gifts too much, but in this situation both Kurama and himself wants to kill Menza. So their goals align with each other for the time being. At least in Kurama's mind it was a matter an enemy of my enemy is an ally.

Rin could hear the air disturbing behind him, and following up is this weird rain again. Rin doesn't really have any idea of what it is other than he distinctly recalls that rain put out the Amaterasu. Strange black tattoos crawl around the boy's hands and up to his shoulders as he felt… slightly stronger. The conditions were set, and so as both Menza and Kyoji rapidly moved on Rin. Albeit Menza will have difficulty with that jet booster of his because of the rain neutralizing ninjutsu. So first Rin will swiftly counter by leaping up with a twirling spin as he cocks back one leg. Leaping over Kyoji's sword and bones as he would cut into the physical afterimages Rin left behind which seems to be like an illusion. By the end of the flip Rin will attempt to unleash a devastating heel drop on Kyoji's head that'll rattle the man's brain and cause distortion. The ground around them trembles from the impact, additionally a strong crushing force emits from Rin's heel drop that'll carry the same strength and speed. The force is a cone shaped as the air is distorted from the physical energy. This intense force will serve as a second attack that will attempt to crush Kyoji into the ground. More likely just causing him to faceplant onto the ground. Possibly leaving him in a dazed state. If Menza still proceeded with his attacks, Menza will experience the same thing as he'll strike the afterimage. Whether Menza keeps going and avoids the force or not and takes the brunt of it as well since he's so close in proximity of Kyoji.

What Menza will probably quickly realize, is that simultaneously Rin has his arrow completely drawn and aimed straight at Menza. More specifically, at this point blank range, Rin will fire the arrow which holds a lot of power into Menza's left heel. Precisely causing the arrow to pierce into Menza's Achilles Heel. If anything Menza will have to heal or suffer a loss in speed. Not to mention Menza will have to deal with the strong crushing blow weighing down on Menza and Kyoji.

If successful, Rin will attempt swipe his now free hand as an open palm strike against Menza's exposed shoulder. Which again causes another burst of physical energy that'll not only attempt to slam Menza's whole body leaving it in a sore state, but in combination to that and Rin's palm strike it'll hopefully dislocate one of Menza's shoulder by simply fracturing the ball socket itself. Additionally, a little side effect, but Rin's open palm nature in combination to the physical energy will throw Menza to the side for about 10 meters. Possibly 20 if Menza doesn't recover.

Additionally, Rin will use this palm strike albeit with more strain on his arm to push himself away. To gain at least a 5 meter distance from Kyoji, and possibly 15 meters to 25 meters distance from Menza. During his movement at this phase, Rin will quickly draw out an arrow and after drawing the string of his bow with it. Rin looses an arrow with great force at Kyoji's right calf. Even if the man held great resilience, the arrow will shatter into Kyoji's calf making it difficult to just pull it out with all of the splinters. Upon landing on his feet, Rin draws another arrow from his belt quiver in quick succession and will aim it at Menza's direction. Where he'll let loose a third arrow aiming straight for Menza's left eye. At this distance with Rin's intellect, awareness, eagle-like vision, and impressive accuracy. There's little chance that Rin's shots will actually miss in short of deflection.

Rin's Stuff:

That fucking Kirisame! Menza thought to himself as he felt the plit-platter of rain pour over the area. The rain was misty, clouded one's vision, and put techniques out like a light. Menza felt as the jet booster propelling him forwards sputtered out robbing him of the forward momentum it provided. Given the interruption in his Jet Booster technique, Menza skidded to a stop. The scientist arrested his moment as he knew without the added speed, he might as well have been heading into a trap. Fortunately, he managed to skid to a halt roughly around the halfway mark to his destination. This put him at 10 meters out from Rin and well outside of the range of his Burst of Force. Kyoji had rushed ahead to engage the boy in Close Quarters Combat. Clearly he knew what he was doing when he decided to initiate the technique and as much as Menza despised Kirisame, he decided he'd let it fly for the former Mizukage's sake. Even though the short-ranged Taijutsu attack had missed him, Menza still needed to contend with the imminent release of Rin's arrow.

He smirked and waited for the arrow to let fly before dodging. The physical characteristics of his transformation did not manifest due to Kirisame but he still benefited from the bloodline limit. Channeling its power into his nervous system, he dodged with expert reflexes moving far faster than the arrow or the aim of the man who loosed it. Menza leaped out of the way for both arrows. The one aimed at his leg and the other aimed at his target-worthy eyes. Once he had successfully done so, he stopped moving and he loosed a Genjutsu upon Rin. It was the Genjutsu Binding Technique and if successful it would infect his brain and degrade his physical movements. If Kyoji wanted to place a game of close-up combat then fine. He'd have one of the world's biggest brains backing him it up via Genjutsu support. Once Genjutsu Binding was put into effect, Menza would make
the Tiger seal and wink at Rin.

The Kirisame didn't seem to last too long as the mist starts to clear up. Rin didn't knock Kyoji unconscious, but it was safe to say that the former Mizukage is stunned for the time being. Rin proceeded to loose his arrow that went with his simultaneous counter against Kyoji. The arrow actually missed as the scientist somehow became faster. Almost the same speed as Kurama in fact, although not as environmentally destructive as the bijuu was. Seems to Rin that this guy can either become surprisingly durable, faster, and/or stronger. Still the Ironblood is starting to notice a pattern here. Reactive rather, if Rin was to pursue Menza then he would do one of two things. Make his second attempt of assault or keep his distance and fire off Ninjutsu and the like that has ranged. Which means the scientist will more likely just be faster over being durable or stronger.

Come to think of it, Rin wondered why the Cursed One opted to get in close quarters in the first place. Rin used the initial phase of Kurama's power because it was less taxing and more manageable. Truthfully he felt bad for relying on Kurama so much, as at first both Kurama and himself wanted to test Nozomi. Kurama out of curiosity, Rin because honestly he wanted a rematch. Not the rematch he wanted though, but it was close enough. It allowed Rin to catch a glimpse of what Nozomi was like at full powered, and frankly what Rin has is just not enough. Now their primary target was here, and this target held the intention to harm Rin.

Then Rin recalled that Menza was just trying to get close to the Ironblood, but suddenly stopped for some reason. Perhaps, and Rin is just estimating a guess, this mist affects Ninjutsu? By how much does it affect? Does it affect externalized Ninjutsu or all Ninjutsu in general? Questions for another time, and while Rin temporarily taken down one of the threats. Rin still has to deal with the other one.

Rin forms the tiger seal with one hand as he vertically layers the illusion with another. Doing so expels chakra into the area of 80 meters as he propels himself using Kyoji's collapsed body as a surface to travel twenty meters away from Menza's location. Which effectively puts him at 30 meters now. During the leap Rin will continue to loose his two arrows. One at Menza's eye, and the second at Kyoji's calf. The one at Menza, or rather both attempts miss. The arrow at Kyoji however made its mark. The arrow shatters into Kyoji's calf leaving multiple fragments into the muscle with the broadhead deep into the muscle. It'll slow him down at least when he gets up.

Menza forms a tiger seal while winking at Rin. The boy wasn't sure what the scientist was thinking of, but least to say Rin's illusion is setting in. At the very least Rin doesn't feel like anything is wrong, so Rin conjures a shadow clone with just one hand again. In unison, both the clone and himself draws their arrows at full length and looses both arrows at Menza's direction towards his chest. However, this time there is a trick to it. The path is slight, but the two arrows will collide at three meters distance from Menza. Causing the arrows to ricochet as an attempt to catch Menza's dodging prowess off guard. As soon as these arrows left from Rin's fingers, both the clone and he quickly draws another to launch. This time the clone sends his arrow first so when the first two arrows ricochet, there'll be another heading towards Menza new location assuming he moves. This third arrow will attempt to pierce into Menza's right lung. Followed up with the third arrow, Rin launches his arrow at Menza again. This time it was aimed at Menza's left thigh.

The scientist might not notice immediately as the illusion takes time to set in, and to keep the scientist on his toes both Rin and his shadow clone launches arrows from a distance. Basically forcing Menza to stay fast on his feet or else he'll catch an arrow or three in his body. Of course even then Rin is using creativity in planning including physics. Such as predicting where to fire his arrows in conjunction to his shadow clone, and know when it'll redirect. So there is a risk that Menza will take an arrow even if he does dodge. Note of how the black tattoos begins to crawl its way back into Rin's hands. Until there is nothing but skin. Kurama, inside of Rin's mindscape, eagerly awaits for Rin to call upon him once again.

Rin's Stuff:

The Konoha ninja was extremely agile. Somehow sensing the two quickly and responding with a spinning kick that sent Kyoji to the ground. It packed a punch, though Kyoji was now more durable to these types of hits.

Then the man shot an arrow into his ankle, this actually hurted. Which would have disabled anyone else. But Kyoji was unlike others. He got up quickly,  keeping an eye out on the ninja who had just summoned a clone. Pulling the arrow free, the wound began heal itself. Tying tissues back together and pushing out the fragments, good as new.

"Ouch." As Kyoji sheathed his Kiba blades and began to make handsigns. He spat out an gigantic torrent of water from his mouth. The wave spread in front of him quick, fast and in a hurry.  Aiming in Rins direction along with his clone. Rin had gained distance away from Menza and Kyoji. Almost 30 meters was the gap between them.

The giant wave crashed into the ground and then around 10 meters of it racing towards Rin and the clone. But this technique was even grander than its predecessor. The wave exploded in height and width reaching 40 meters into the air  the arena walls would soon be smacked with overwhelming pressure, as the water would fill the entire area.

His playground, Menza too would be covered and washed away by the wave. While Kyoji remained stationary, letting it rise above him. The water would be vast, rising to a height of a hundred meters high, as it was possible to cover a 500 meters distance. However the arena walls stopped it short. The top of the stadium was another hundred meters away.

Now many meters under the water Kyoji plotted. However Rin reacted to the wave, Kyoji would prepare another jutsu by beginning another series of handsigns. He would capture the man, but not for Menza. Menza had outlived his usefulness and he was just as dangerous. He needed answers first for the mass destruction in front of his gates. He was certainly not going without a fight.

Either Menza is just toying with Rin or somehow Rin managed to get the drop on him. Three arrows each possessing great power sank deep into Menza's torso. One arrow punctures his left side of his ribcage possibly fractured if not broken a rib. Second arrow punctures Menza's right side of the ribcage that wedges the broadhead in between a couple of ribs. Creating fractures in the bones. And finally the third arrow sinks deep into Menza's lower abdomen. Just these arrows alone Menza will be suffering from trauma and internal bleeding.

Because Kyoji was still in Rin's line of sight, the Uchiha sees the presumably Mizukage stands up and takes the arrow out. The wound seems to close on its own without any need for weaving handseals or Mystical Palm. That was going to be a problem Rin realized, but as soon as Kyoji took that step, Kyoji triggers the illusion Rin had placed before hand. It's like no matter how far Kyoji walks straight, he's nowhere closer to Rin. When in reality Kyoji would be walking in circles as the illusion messes with Kyoji's sense of direction. Still, this hasn't exactly become apparent since Kyoji isn't technically walking, and even when Kyoji turns to 'face' Rin the jutsu he is using would still execute with the expected results.

Now Rin definitely remembers this technique, or at least experienced it before. So does his clone, utilizing the brute strength from the Arhat Fist style, whom immediately grabs Rin with the free hand and throws Rin high off the ground. Easily reaching up to 40 meters off the ground in a second and still climbs higher up to 60 meters. Taking advantage of Kyoji's messed up sense of direction, Rin should be able to get over this incoming wave. In return, the shadow clone takes the brunt of the force and dispersing upon impact.

Just before Rin was grabbed, Rin charges up his chakra to his core and mixing it with fuuton. So when Rin is thrown, he exhales the Fuuton chakra onto his free open hand. So when Rin is over the wave, the boy throws this high speed Fuuton at Kyoji's direction. Intending for this to pack quite a punch as it'll detonate in condensed explosion of wind power intending to crush the Mizukage. But given the man's regeneration and durability he has displayed thus far it probably wouldn't do much aside from knocking him around. With a surge of chakra activating the seal on his right wrist, the platinum bow vanishes in a soft flash of light. With his hands now free, Rin weave only one hand sign and that was the Ram. Fuuton chakra molding in his body as Rin goes up to his full 60 meters as it was the climax before he starts descending. At the climax, Rin exhales a condensed, high density orb of fuuton at Kyoji's location. This one didn't need to directly hit Kyoji, and even if the Blue Emperor submerges into the water the Ironblood already has an idea of what might happen.

First the ball of highly dense Fuuton strikes at Kyoji or his fever vicinity before it explodes into a 100 meters in diameter of howling wind. The great pressure turns into a funnel, a tornado-like mass. Where it violently churns the water and sends everything within 100 meters in diameter high into the air. This will sweep Kyoji off his feet along with some small amounts of water. If he's submerged then the currents will be incredibly strong spiraling upward along the turbulence. Possibly disorienting the man from being tossed around in a violent manner either way. How he's being affected in combination of this remains to be seen. For Rin, despite being affected by the turbulence as well, is keeping a keen eye and his other senses on Kyoji. Of course, Menza would be safe from this attack considering that he'll be swept up by the colliding wave jutsu.

Technical Stuff:

Rin's Stuff:

Rin had done a good job anticipating the rise of the waves. His clone had reacted quickly, grabbed the boy by the collar and slinging him upwards. He was strong enough to throw the boy almost 60 meters into the air. Just clearing the wave. The ninja also managed to slum a wind ball with the quickness towards Kyoji. But he had already covered himself in water, and the attack blasted the water protecting him. With the water rising, it was time to act. This would afford Kyoji to perform his second string jutsu that was interconnected to the first. He was able to notice through the water with his excellent vision and see Rin being tossed into the air. Kyoji intercepted Rin before he could get to the full extent of his clones throw.

The water from his Kirisame technique would play a part. It took no time to fire off like other jutsus, as Kyoji already had plenty of water to use. The water that was splattered on Rin from Kirisame and was still fresh, tightened all around his body. Water tightened around the fingers and both arms of Rin, pulling them apart so that he could no longer form handseals with. His hands would wrap around his back. He would attempt to do so as well with Rin's leg, clamping together tightly. Now binded (if connected) by all four limbs, the Blue Emperor used the moisture and water around Rin when he began to descend. A steel like film of water was bubbling all around Rin like a cocoon. This would also help keep Rin restrained. Kyoji with one hand directed the water to help pull Rin's descent faster, turning him upside down towards the ground. Still about 30 meters out where he had originally retreated too. He also began to make the water into a death like squeeze, crushing his body with the water.

With his other hand, Kyoji manipulated the surface water where Rin would land to combine into hardened water spikes. Thirty 10 meter water spikes formed over a wide area of 40 meters of water. Kyoji willed the water spikes in the area to rise into the air to meet Rin. Speeding towards the falling ninja. With Menza washed to the far side of the arena. Rin would be in precarious position, binded and heading head first towards water spikes.

As Rin ascended over the technique, he remembered before that technique held an incredibly long range. Even if Rin did tried to run for the wall, he doubts that would make much difference. So really the only option Rin had was to retreat to the sky. He threw one wind ball, and like the water below had a mind of its own. A smaller wave of water took the brunt of the force. Rin is starting to think that Kyoji let the boy kick him in the head. Perhaps in retaliation of a headache Rin probably gave the Emperor he's using some powerful stuff now.

Before Rin could start weaving just the one handseal. Something was constricting Rin's arms and pulling it behind him. He resists it as he could feel everything on him was doing the same. Rin doesn't know exactly what is keeping him from moving, or what is pulling him back. Either way it was pulling him down, which seems to be a cluster of water spikes waiting to skewer him. He could technically still form handseals with just one hand, but the way he was constricted more likely will hold his hands in place as well. Leaving Rin with only one option, and that was to rely on Kurama's power once more.

His crimson eyes shifted into the eyes of Kyuubi as the bijuu's cloak begins to manifest. The cloak evaporates the water restricting him as black marks slither around his arms once again while pushing his arms from the pull. The instant he was able to get loose, just a few meters from reaching the spikes, Rin immediately swung his hands into a clap of force. Emitting two bursts of physical energy that causes the water spikes to flatten into a bowl. However, this has a secondary purpose as it causes the water to spray around Rin temporarily masking the point of impact. The clap was also having his tail to launch into the water and slither at high speeds towards Kyoji's position from underneath the water. It'll also create enough space for Rin to safely land with chakra coating his feet.

For safe measure, Rin spreads both hands away to create more bursts of force to cause the nearby water spikes to flatten as well. Creating more mist and foam. By this point, hopefully, the tail will snatch Kyoji by enlarging into a giant hand and grabbing his body with really strong crushing power. Then Rin will quickly move to the side as the tail rapidly drags Kyoji under in a spiral motion. Repeatedly slamming Kyoji's body against the floor while submerged in water.

Kyoji thought he had finally had the man restrained. He couldn't have been more wrong. A red like coating of chakra sprouted around him. Evaporating the water that Kyoji was using the to hold him. A Jinchuuriki. This changes things. Then he began firing blasts of force from strength of his hands. Exploding the water spikes he had sent had exploded with mist and foam. This had messed with his vision, but it would serve to mess with the his as well. It was a matter of time... Something had dropped into the water, with alarming speed something was racing towards him.

He could hear it trying to push past the many tons of water now fully risen in the arena. It had some distance to go to get to him as the water had gained an impressive one hundred meters high. He could hear it racing towards him immediately. A bone sword burst from the palm of his right hand, then he grabbed the hilt. Piercing his gauntlet, his armor had taken some punctures. In the same movement, he began to swim backwards at astonishing speeds. Being a Hoshigaki had its advantages, such as maneuvering through water unhindered. The large tail would miss and fail to grab as he Kyoji backpadeled through the water.

With a wave with one hand the water around Kyoji began to swirl violently. He knew that the man would have to land eventually, so he acted preemptively. With a radius of a hundred meters of his control, he turned the water into a giant whirlpool with him at the center. The water would turn with some speed but great power. This would turn the large tail coming from Rin away from Kyoji and began pulling Rin down under along with his tail. This would occur mainly as the Blue Emperor was aiming for the tail mostly.

This would pull Rin away from Kyoji for about another 50 meters as that how wide the whirlpool was being pushed to. All the pressure of his attack continuously bombarding with strong torrent of water trying to crush every part of Rins body, especially his arms and legs. If he were to be submerged completely.

There was a disembodied laugh echo in Rin's mind, something that the boy didn't hear often in his head. It felt like time slowed as Rin felt his body growing intensely hot. Rin was falling down as he felt the cloak was becoming tighter on his body. The heat became unbearable like his insides were on fire. Rin gasped

You have overestimated yourself boy… In Rin's mindscape Kurama exerts his chakra past the seal, using the leak that Rin was using to empower his body as Kurama's outlet. The volatile chakra wrapped around the Uchiha before it squeezed. His eyes, even in the mindscape, is starting to become more and more like Kurama's by the second.

A noble effort, but now it is time for you to uphold your promise. Rin knew what Kyuubi was talking about, and though he was silent for a moment. Rin felt his heart flutter, his palms sweaty, and more importantly Rin felt the cold fingers of death now wrapped around his throat. Despite the number of times he has been hell and back to get this far. It would seem his efforts were for nothing in the end. There were still much to do, and with so little time. His mind immediately conjures up images, memories of his mother, of Yui and Masuyo. There was sadness in his eyes, and yet his protective nature flares up as Rin turned on his heel. Facing the gargantuan beast behind this wall of vines.

The Uchiha momentarily looked confused until he put the pieces together. Rin smiled from that as it was the first time Kurama introduced himself.

Kurama eh? That's a unique name. Well then, I guess this is goodbye friend. May whatever forces out there be in your favor Kurama. Rin bid his farewell before he placed his hand over the seal. The pale blue light emitting from the seal dissipated into nothingness, and the vines pull away from the center. Continuing on until the vines could be seen no longer in the distance.

The bijuu was released from the shackles that bound him, his cell opened, and now it was up to Kurama whether or not he kills Rin here or let his chakra do it for him. Before Kurama can decide, Rin turns his back on the bijuu as he extends a hand out over at the exit.

Now let's get out there and finish what we started! Rin spoke, which is rewarded with a laugh as Kurama lightly poked at Rin's back with the oversized long nail.

You do know whether you succeed or not you will die here. Right boy? His conviction unwavering, Rin nods his head.

We both knew this would come. Today is the day that you become free! But I will finish this business before my body is destroyed! Rin refuses Kurama being taken prisoner again. To which amused the bijuu before he gives the boy more of his chakra.

Instead of landing on magnetized feet like Rin intended, the boy actually sinks into the water. He was in so much pain from the bijuu chakra condensing on his body that he couldn't fight back the pull of the currents. The boy gasped for air, yet was only rewarded with water entering his lungs. As he was being pulled about 15 meters away from the original point, the area around Rin exploded with an overwhelming shockwave that causes most of the water to be pushed back into a giant wave of water to rise and crash away from Rin.

His skin was peeling away as his eyes were just two red orbs as the air grew thick with bijuu chakra. A black sphere shrouds his body as there was now a thin pillar of chakra rising up to the sky. The air felt dense as wind continued to whip around the arena. Heat had risen into incredible heights evaporating residue water in the air. Otherwise thick steam shrouds Rin's body. If Kyoji gets too close to Rin, Kyoji will risk suffering some major burns on his skin. It hurts, like his body was on fire that when the Jinchuriki roared out of pain and hatred it definitely wasn't human. Yet Rin only had one goal in mind.

Sporting two tails as nothing resembling Rin remains. Just a dark crimson silhouette of a mini Kyuubi. With some of the water still underneath Rin, the Kyuubi leaps over whatever wall of water before it collapsed to fill the gap. Utilizing one tail moving at remarkable speeds, the tail lashes out to dig the highly corrosive claws into the water's surface to pull the Kyuubi to the side. If successful, the Kyuubi will continue onwards. Not to Kyoji however, but to Menza's unconscious body as the Kyuubi was running on all fours now. The Jinchuriki didn't care what the distance was, just so that the enraged boy could reach the mad scientist where Rin will use both tails to pierce through Menza's back to the Cursed One's heart. If successful, Rin will form multiple barbs along the tail to hook Menza's organs and rib cage to drag the man up. Just high enough where Rin opens his mouth larger than normal. Just large enough to where Rin will either bite Menza's head as he sinks his claws into Menza's body. Utilizing various methods to rip Menza apart. Alternatively, Rin will bite Menza's face off, letting his teeth sink and crush the front half of the skull as he rips Menza's body apart.

For a fleeting moment. It did indeed seem as if the Jinchuuriki had fallen into the maelstrom. The red coated body dropped like a stone in the water, plunging deeping into Kyoji's field of control. Then all of a sudden there was a large explosion. The water was parted all the way towards Kyoji's position. Rin had drawn himself nearer to Kyoji's position and the former Mizukage was able to feel the heat through the water. He was still backpedaling so he aimed himself upwards and shot up to the top of the water. Being sure to drop his bone sword first, and it would sink to the bottom.

The Jinchuuriki had gone through another stage of its transformation. This was going to become even more dangerous than he had anticipated. He couldn't quite tell what bijuu he had inhabited. But he could feel Samehada on his back shudder, which meant that it had an extraordinary amount of chakra coming from it. Then it began to move quickly, hopping over a large that was coming back from the explosion. The black and red like creature began to run towards Menza who had been knocked to the other side of the arena with his technique.

Though it was fast, it wasn't nearly as fast as it was before. Which Kyoji would have time to interrupt it before it got to the end of the arena. With his top half poking out the water, he began a long series of handsigns. Charging his chakra for one of his clans most powerful technique. The water around him surged violently, a torrent of water began to gather in front of him. Spewing and changing its shape so that it revealed a giant shark the size of a large building. "Great Shark Bullet!"

Kyoji did not have the time to save Menza and successfully defeat the Jinchuuriki before it made its final transformation. They would have no way to stop it before it eventually destroyed the village and everyone there. The back of the arena where Menza washed against wall, was probably about 90 meters from them since Rin had begun chasing the Blue Emperor. Then it changed its course for the Cursed One.

When the Two-tailed beast got 60 meters away from Kyoji and still was 30 meters away from Menza. He fired the giant shark straight at the tailed beast. The shark roared with a ferocity out of this world, eating up the water in front of it. The chakra adding to its base strength, making it even stronger. The chakra absorption would work on the cloak as once it drew nearer, there wasn't much that would stand up to this technique.

Moving at speeds faster than the beast could hope to dodge, if it were to hit. There would be an explosion of epic proportions dwarfing the transformation explosion the bijuu had just done. The blast would scatter in a 100 diameter radius upon reaching the reaching the target. Causing the area to turn into nothing short of natural disaster. Menza would be pressed to waking up or he too would suffer.

He wasn't sure what it was. Whether it was the constant exposure to the corrosive Bijuu chakra, his own arrogance and hubris, or perhaps Rin's astonishing level of martial competence. Whatever it was, it had affected Menza and that affect had robbed him of the ability to act in the most crucial of moments. He was slow on the draw. The arrows were embedded into his body before he could even blink and the only thing he could do in response is spit blood as he felt his insides tear up. He pumped every ounce of nature chakra into his body. He hardened himself, increasing both his durability and pain tolerance. The damage had been inflicted but it could be mitigated until he had time to heal. Unfortunately, the piercing arrows slowed him down to the point where he couldn't hope to avoid friendly-fire. Kyoji unleashed a massive wave of Suiton that barrelled down on him before he could even gather his wits to react. By channeling so much of his Nature Clan chakra into his body, his senses had become dulled. The endless permutations and predictions that flowed throw his brain became obstructed and indecipherable. Frustrated, hatred, and anger set in as his mind was plagued with the eternal Curse of the Nature Clan. When Menza turned around his mishappen eyes widened in horror at what awaited him.

"No...."

Then, darkness. Menza was struck by the wave and his body was sent flying. Water filled his lungs as he was sloshed and rag-dolled by the technique. The only thing he saw were stars, and then eternity. His decision to increase his physical vitality was the correct one. Had he not done so, he would have certainly died. The combination of the arrows and the water jutsu would have been enough to annihilate his organs. The trauma and shock was beyond what even a superhuman could endure. When Menza was knocked unconscious by the barrage of blows, he didn't dream. There were vague memories and ideas that danced in his mind but ultimately he was in no position to imagine anything concrete. Just a sea of emotions: regret, anger, hatred, inadequacy. Then of course there was that choking omnipresent fear. He had known it ever since he was a boy. They had sent him away from his home. His parents a distant memory. They had told him that he was different from others. That he was dangerous. That if he didn't do exactly as he was told, people would find out about his heritage and kill him. He was made to serve others. Constantly putting the whims and wishes of the rich and powerful before his own basic needs. No matter how humiliating or degrading the task he would do it just to survive. He had scraped and clawed his way into a position of power and at the first opportunity he had squandered it. The sting of defeat burned him. He had given away his talents to others and he couldn't even force them to pay him back without risking life and limb. Perhaps he was truly out of his depth. Maybe Honiko was right, maybe he was just a servant playing god with the few talents the Creator had given him. The spectre of this possibility stirred his spirit. It sparked outrage and from that outrage came consciousness.

Menza's eyes snapped open. He felt no pain courtesy of the Nature Clan's Transformation but he knew that his body was severely damaged. He awoke to a V2 Jinchurikki barrelling towards him at its top speed. The sound of a shark bullet roared in the distance. It was coming in fast, too fast. Menza did the only thing he could. He teleported. The Cursed One utilized Flying Thunder God to remove himself from the situation. He blinked back into existence in the Menzagakure Medical Bay where he crawled and squirmed his way to a healing station. He was soaked in water and blood, delirious with rage. The only thing keeping himself alive was his Nature Transformation. He heard a thunderous boom in the background as the fight between the Blue Emperor and Rin Uchiha continued. The mad scientist propped himself up against the wall and began using Mystical Palm to stabilize the damage. He'd need to close up the wounds and stop the bleeding before he could manage to pull out the arrows.

"FUCKING SHINOBI!!!" he screamed in wrathful defiance. A Bijuu was a beast. Smart yes, but ultimately an animal. A being that was so filled with rage and hatred that it was surprisingly easy to trick and subdue. But a Bijuu working with a shinobi? That was a true Weapon of Mass Destruction. All of that raw power focused and directed by the indomitable will of a ninja. That was what Rin was, that was what Menza was up against. He had once more allowed his hubris to overtake him and it had once more nearly killed him. Never again. This was not a game he wished to continue playing. Menza continued to give himself emergency treatment as he thought over the events that had transpired.

Kyoji couldn't see much behind the massive blast he had let loose at the wild bijuu beast. Running amok in violent fashion would have spelled certain doom for the Blue Emperor. Though he was strong indeed, it was never a good idea to tangle with a Jinchuuriki. Their power rather it was controlled or not, usually boded ill for opponents. Which was why it was important for Kiri to attain a bijuu. He had done questionable things in his reign as Mizukage. But it was all for the sake of the village one way or the other.

He tried with all his might to lessen the blow of the Great Shark Bullet, so that it would instantly knock the Jinchuuriki out. But he could reign in only so much of the powerful technique. So much as Rin would have grave injuries, leaving him on his deathbed. With the medical facilities of Menza though, he would be able to be saved though it was necessary to get him there quickly. Kyoji made a single seal, a Shadow clone burst to life. The clone made its way to the large mass of water pulling into the area over the body of Rin. Still breathing, but barely. The blast had done immense damage to him, also the fraying of transformation itself. The clone took Samehada from its back and would put Rin on the inside. Keeping any latent transformation from taking place. Also stunting the mans stamina tank as well. There he would be safe from himself.

Menza heard a massive blast from the Bijuu Containment Facility. He stood up from his sitting position and peered through the window in the direction of the facility. A sizeable dent could be seen in the structure. The sound was loud enough to wake the dead but afterwards there was nothing but total silence. The Beast had ceased rampaging. Menza remembered that the last thing he had seen was Rin in the V2 stage. The boy couldn't have gained control over the Bijuu that quickly. This meant that if the fighting stopped it was only because Rin was either dead or unconscious. Menza gave it a few more minutes before deciding that going to investigate would be a waste of much needed chakra. The Mizukage had this under control and if he had killed Rin he'd bring Menza the body, likewise, if he had rendered him unconscious he was likely to bring him to the Menzagakure Medical Bay.

Menza ordered his attendants to help Kyoji leave the Bijuu Containment Facility. They would then direct him to Menza's current location inside the Medical Bay. The mad scientist sighed a breath of relief. The containment zone had been designed to hold a rampaging Bijuu but not necessarily one as large as the 9 Tails. There was no guarantee that the zone would hold and even if it did, there was even less assurance that it could take sustained damage. A released Kurama would destroy Menzagakure and given his current injuries it would have forced him to abandon his research base. Decades worth of advances in critical fields would be lost and his defenses weren't likely to hold the beast back. It'd leave the island and run off in the wild. The Society would have then lost a critical bargaining chip.

Kyoji had stopped this all from happening. The man with the mishappen eyes chuckled to himself as he mentally lauded Kyoji's valor in battle. He'd need to thank the Mizukage for this. Putting down Rin had proved to be a troublesome exercise and he was glad to have had the Shark Man by his side. Menza finished stabilizing the wound with Mystical Palm. From there, it was a simple matter of removing the arrows without damaging any organs. For a genius physician such as himself, it was child's play. By the time Kyoji returned to the Medical Bay, Menza would be close to fully healed.
