    Naito's Bladework Empty Naito's Bladework

Name: Dance of the Wind God (Kazekami No Mai)
    Rank: C
    Power: C
    Activation Cost: N/A
    Upkeep Cost: 3 per post
    Range: Self
    Speed: Self
    Element: N/A
    Skill: Kenjutsu or Bukijutsu
    Classification: Secret Technique
Requirements: Kenjutsu Skill, Training from Naito
    Parent Technique: N/A
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: The Dance of the Wind God is a Kenjutsu Art developed by Naito himself while training in a garage wielding a sword. It's a bit unorthodox in its practice as the wielder pictures their arms as a slicing wind, cutting foes with the grace and speed of a forceful current. This combined with acrobatic maneuvering around the battlefield allows them to slip through, over, and around foes as if they were wind itself. This acrobatic style allows the user to take full advantage of their speed and coordination in overwhelming a foe! Boosts their Coordination by ++ and their Speed by a +. Strength boosts only come in for the sub-techs, as the movement of the style rains down as a Strength boost.
    Weaknesses:
Acrobatics are flashy and can create some interesting movement options, but they also can leave one vulnerable, especially if they are jumping around. Less of a mechanical weakness and more of a logistics weakness in terms of RP combat. As when you jump you're fully committing to a movement. Just see Anakin vs. Obi-Wan for reasons why this isn't always a good idea xD

    Name: Kazekami no Mai: Windfury
    Rank: C
    Power: C
    Activation Cost: 5\
    Upkeep Cost: N/A
    Range: Self
    Speed: Self
    Element: N/A
    Skill: Kenjutsu
    Classification: Secret Technique
Requirements: Kenjutsu Skill, C rank Coordination and C rank Speed when performed.
    Parent Technique: Kazekami no Mai
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: This technique is one of the standard ones for the Kazekami no Mai collection. The user spins their body for a slash attack with their blade, creating a forceful blow of momentum and grace. Boosts Strength by ++ and Speed by a +.
    Weaknesses:

Name: Kazekami no Mai: Rising Wind
    Rank: C
    Power: C
    Activation Cost: 5
    Upkeep Cost: N/A
    Range: 10m
    Speed: N/A
    Element: N/A
    Skill: Kenjutsu
    Classification: Secret Technique
    Requirements: N/A
    Parent Technique: Kazekami no Mai
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: This is not an offensive maneuver but rather a defensive one. Utilizing the acrobatic nature of Kazekami no Mai, the user utilizes an acrobatic leap to evade an incoming attack. This acrobatic maneuver is quick and well-coordinated, allowing for the user to evade a user that they may not normally, as they utilize the momentum of gravity to benefit their movement. This leap can either be a forward one, which allows one to evade a charging enemy. Or it can be a backward leap, which is used to evade an grounded enemy to gain distance. Boosts Coordination by + and Speed by a ++.
    Weaknesses:
Leaps create a brief window of weakness and should only be used to counter-evade an enemy. Should a third party be able to successfully target the user while they're in mid-air, the user will be powerless to evade the attack due to the fact there is no course correction in aerial movement. Boost can't be used for an offensive attack.

    Name: Kazekami no Mai: Windwall

Ken and Buki boost Speed on a Secondary level. This means that it must be a bit narrow as to how it boosts Speed. For example, it boosts Speed by a + for the purpose of closing in on an opponent or retreating etc etc. Add in that narrowing capability and it will be good to go.

Name: Dance of the Night King (Yaban'ou no Mai)

    Element: N/A
    Skill: Kenjutsu/Bukijutsu
    Classification: Secret Technique
    Requirements: Kenjutsu Fighting Style
    Parent Technique: N/A
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: This is Naito's primary fighting style, due to the fact that his other more fighting style is a more flashy and dramatic one. The issue with such a fighting style is that if given too much time to adapt to it, the style can easily lead to a user's doom. Kazekami No Mai is a finishing style, not a starter. The Yaban'ou No Mai however is well suited for one-on-one confrontations, allowing one to defend themselves with minimal effort. It's elegant and focused, utilizing careful balance and maneuverability in order to trip up opponents. It utilizes jabbing motions along with small, fast cuts. It requires intensive focus and calm analytical precision. It's made so that the user feels as if they are dancing, rather than engaging in the cruel reality of war.

"This style is only for those with the grace of a king," Naito commonly explains.

It gives the user a ++ to Coordination, and a + to Perception.

Note: Perception can only be used to perceive/respond to melee attacks!

    Weaknesses:
This style is not equipped for dueling with someone vastly superior in strength, as one requires the power to parry the blows of a Barbarian. Recommended you switch to a more mobile style if dealing with such a foe, as you may very well spell your own doom.

Name: Yaban'ou no Mai: King's Guard
    Rank: C
    Power: C

    Requirements:
    Parent Technique: Yaban'ou No Mai
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: This is the classic parry of the Yaban'ou no Mai! With a finesse sweep of the blade the user can pull away their opponent's weapon, guiding it out of harm's way. Grants a ++ to Coordination and a + to Strength.
    Weaknesses:
    N/A

Name: Yaban'ou no Mai: Noble Step

    Range: 10m
    Speed: Self
    Element: N/A
    Skill: Kenjutsu
    Classification: Secret Technique
    Requirements: N/A
    Parent Technique: Yaban'ou no Mai
    Hand Seals: N/A
Description: When a fellow of the Yaban'ou no Mai feels overwhelmed in the nick of battle, they must utilize careful footwork to disengage. By stepping back in a straight line, the user can safely retreat from the range of a weapon! Grants +++ (aka a Tier) to Speed for the strict purposes of a single evasive series of backstepping.
    Weaknesses:
Once activated must wait at least a full round before trying to activate this again. Backstepping isn't easy and you gotta maintain your balance + awareness of surroundings before you commit to it.
