THUD!
The sound of a fist colliding with wood was music to Tsuyo's ears. Every blow, every feeling of pain, all of it meant that her body was improving itself. The Hyuga clan head danced back from the tree, dodging a blow from an imaginary opponent. The gloves on her hands prevented the tree bark from scraping her knuckles to pieces, though she frequently practiced like this without protection to build endurance. Her white eyes were not currently scanning the area, feeling quite safe in her home village. Her mind ran through any number of possible follow ups an opponent might use every time she moved, planning her own movements around these imaginary foes.
She twisted and turned around the tree, landing a hard blow every so often as she continued her dance of martial combat. After a couple minutes of this play at cat and mouse, Tsuyo dashed at the tree from a couple meters away to initiate a combination assault on her opponent for the day. She jumped into the air to performing a spinning kick, her foot coming within a few inches of the surface of the tree, that was followed up by a heel drop. Her leg crashed into the ground and the seasoned warrior found her way into a squatting position. The already extended leg was retracted somewhat before being extended again as she came around to perform the simple legsweep that constituted the Leaf Gale.
Pretending that an opponent had been hit by the second attack, Tsuyo would spring from her crouch as her right arm came into alignment with the tree. Her left hand clasped over her right fist as she drove her elbow into the tree to perform the Leaf Destroying Rock Rise technique. The sound of bark being crushed added to her symphony of grunts and previous strikes, creating a a continuous melody.
Tsuyo jumped back from the tree and fell into the typical stance for a Strong Fist user with her right hand behind her back and her left in front of her with the palm up and fingers up in the air. Her body was turned slightly, providing a smaller target for her supposed opponent. She had broken a sweat, a good indication of a good workout. With the start of a smile on her lips, Tsuyo flipped a nearby tree limb off the ground with her foot. Her left hand grabbed it and then immediately tossed it into the air. Tsuyo jumped after it, pretending that it was instead a human body that had just been launched into the air by the jonin. As she reached the apex of her arc, she snagged the stick out of the air and did a flip by the grace only fictional shinobi are capable of in order to land on her feet.
Again tossing the stick into the air, Tsuyo bent over backwards and planted the palms of her hands on the ground. Her legs curled into her chest, and her arms pushed off the ground to spring herself up and at the stick with violent force. The stick didn't break, but it did go flying off into the distance. Keeping an eye on it, Tsuyo gathered chakra into the palm of her hand and then thrust it at the stick. A wave of pressurized air shot out from her palm, crashing into the stick and splintering it while it was coming back down to the ground. One of the Hyuga's favorite attacks, the Vacuum Palm.
She dashed forward, hoping to get underneath the splinters as they fell. To ensure this, Tsuyo's hands came together to form the tiger seal and provide her body with a little boost to her speed with the Body Flicker. When she stopped, the splinters had begun to get to her eye level. Chakra gathered on the surface of her body, an ability so uniquely granted to those who could utilize the Gentle Fist, with Tsuyo activating her Byakugan in tandem to this gathering of chakra. Once a sufficient amount had been gathered, the Hawk of Konoha would begin to spin in place as chakra was fired out of every tenketsu on her body. The splinters of wood would all be repelled by this barrier of swirling chakra, an impenetrable defense known as the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven. What was left of the stick was broken to even smaller pieces as they hit the mass of chakra enveloping Tsuyo. She would come to a stop only after she confirmed with her eyes that all the sticks had been broken and thrown to the side. The grass around her for a few meters in all directions had been ripped up and thrown to the wind by her technique, a perfect circle of dirt created. A perfect Rotation, one could say.
At this point, Tsuyo would take a breather to recover some of her stamina. She laid back, enjoying watching the clouds as they passed overhead. Fifteen minutes or so passed, allowing her to relax a bit and let her body rest. She had been going since dawn after all, so she definitely needed the break.
After her little rest, Tsuyo would curl her knees into her chest again and kicked herself up into a standing position. She patted the dirt off her legs and butt, ready to get back to training. There was one more thing she wanted to try since she hadn't done it in awhile. Tsuyo brought her hands together to form the hand seal needed for the Shadow Clone Jutsu. She focused her chakra, willing one shadow clone into existance beside her. Back in the academy, she had had issues with the regular clone technique for the first few months she was trying to learn it. Because of that, she worked hard to learn how to utilize the Shadow Clone technique due to its much wider range of uses. Training was one of the best ones she had found for them yet, mostly because it allowed you to test strategies out against something that can think rather than keeping everything in the hypothetical.
The clone knew what it needed to do, jumping back a few meters from the original. She watched as the clone of herself brought its own hands together to form a single hand seal. Tsuyo watched as her clone's hair began to grow exponentially, turning into a mane of hair capable of extending for dozens of meters and in any form the user wished. It was one of the truly versatile techniques that every shinobi should know how to use: Wild Lion's Mane.
Her clone directed the mass of hair at the original who was bracing for the constriction that was sure to come. The bristling black hair coiled itself around Tsuyo just as an anaconda squeezes its prey. The only difference here was that Tsuyo would not allow it to be the end of her. The clone made sure to apply close to the full strength of the technique, fulling restricting any movement Tsuyo might have to fight the technique.
Her chakra circulatory system slowed down a little as she began to focus chakra into every single point on this system. It would take a couple seconds to get it all in place without releasing it, during which time it had started to get a bit difficult to breathe. Her clone really didn't dick around, that was for sure. This would soon be remedied.
Finally, she could release the technique that had been built up for a couple seconds now. From every point on her body, a short blast of chkara would fire to dislodge the hair from Tsuyo's body. Once free, the jonin would jump straight up to get out of reach of the hair. One Blow Body had come in handy and always would, making it a staple technique for Tsuyo when it came to training and keeping a mastery over it. Now, her hands came together for one easy hand seal. Her clone would freeze, suddenly restricted in movement by the Ninjutsu Paralysis Tsuyo had enacted upon it.
While it was still under the influence, Tsuyo reached into a hip pouch on her right hip and drew out a shuriken with a wire somehow tied onto it in such a way the the spin would not be prevented and the wire wouldn't be severed. It is truly amazing what shinobi can do, as the very laws of physics bend to suit their needs. Just like they would bend now when Tsuyo launched this shuriken at her clone. It would fly by before a twitch of Tsuyo's index finger brought it back around to slam into the back of her clone and disperse it. The Manipulated Shuriken technique was one of the first learned by weaponry users, and a good one to keep practiced on. Even little tricks could turn the tables in a fight.
Thoroughly satisfied with the day's training, Tsuyo would do a bit of stretching afterwards. Then, she would head for the exit of the training grounds to get back to her home district and bathe. She had some errands to run next, and wouldnt go looking like she just got done getting it on with somebody.
